Fantastic tour! Prepare for a bit of climbing at a couple of the stops. Sintra walk is beautiful. Shopping and dining were great. Pena Palace should not be missed if you’re going to Lisbon.
Filipa was amazing. Very knowledgeable, and her enthusiasm made the tour enjoyable.
Noooo was an excellent guide, very knowledgable, friendly, helpful. Loved it, highly recommend to t to you
Wonderful tour guide, very knowledgeable, informative, and helpful! Loved the view and the great pictures!
Philippa was a terrific guide and made this extra special for us. She made great meal recommendations.
Ricardo was amazing! He was so knowledgeable, kind, funny, and had engaging conversations with all of us. He brought history to life with exciting stories throughout our journey. It was a perfect blend of seeing Sintra, Pena Palace, etc. and then having our own time to walk around or get a bite to eat. We have two teenagers in our family ages 16 and 18. And they loved the tour, too! That is truly a test of how amazing a tour guide Ricardo is because teenagers can often get bored and they were not! There were lots of smiles and laughter and excitement. I kept turning to my husband throughout the tour and saying “This is the best tour, this is the best tour, and I have to tell our friends about it!” Definitely do this tour and ask for Ricardo!
Ricardo was the best guide. Very knowledgeable and engaging. The tour was well paced with ample time to see and enjoy everything. He took time to make the tour special with an authentic treat at the end.
This tour was incredible. Highly recommend very informative. David was amazing felt like we were travelling with a friend not a tour guide.
We got to see many things, with a good explanation. Tour guide was friendly, and very knowledgeable. We traveled in a van, so it was close. I would have appreciated everyone rotating, so that the same people didn't get stuck in the back the entire trip.
Ricardo was a fantastic guide for what was a great trip to Sintra.
Loved Ricardo our guide. Very knowledgeable and great sense of humour. Be prepared to climb stairs and sweat!!!
Excellent guide, knowledgeable, funny, excellent driver
My husband and I had a lovely local guide. Ines was informative and had deep knowledge on local history. She was engaging and we were captivated and fascinated with her stories. She took us to a lovely lunch at Fortazela do Guincho. The food and the staff there was amazing as Ines.
We had a very nice day on our tour with our guide Ines and two other people exploring Portugal. Ines was very informative and nice. She also got us a reservation at a very local and traditional Portuguese restaurant for lunch which was great!
Our guide was very good at all that she had her hands full of that day. The day began for all 8 of us with the surprise of having to share what we expected would be an all English tour with a group of 6 from Brazil. Wow! At first I thought it was a stroke of luck for her, only to find out much later in the day just have difficult languages can be. She was awesome. Brava to her linguistic "chops". She quite easily spoke in Brazilian Portuguese AND English for the entire time. She obviously knows a lot about her country and we were blessed to have her company for the day. We finished our day truly enlightened by the new things that we learned about Portugal.
We had a wonderful trip and Hugo was an informative and very helpful guide. He had loads of information and was engaging in sharing it.
Our tour guide, Phillipe was excellent. She very knowledgeable of Portugal and surrounding town and villages. Sintra was fantastic and she was an excellent guide
Nuno was an incredible guy! He was super knowledgeable, passionate, and very friendly. We realized as the day went on that we could spend a full day or more in each of the locations we visited. This is a great tour to whet your appetite. If you only have a day, this is a great way to get a taste of a couple of different places.
The tour guide, Nuni, was super friendly and informative. It was a long day, with exploring and touring. Cascais is a lovely, laid back experience where you get to wonder and take it in. A stop in Cabo da Roca showed the beautiful, rough and rocky water. Sintra is very busy with lots of people, cars and very windy narrow roads. Hold on tight. Pena Castle is very steep to climb up to (bus is available to purchase a ticket/ride). Be prepared to walk. The castle itself is impressive, but the self guided tour is quick. Views from the terraces are lovely.
Our guide Lourenco Mello was a fantastic guide. He was a wealth of knowledge, about Portuguese history and culture. The trip from Lisbon included stops for quick sightseeing, including a drive by the hotel inspiring Ian Fleming (James Bond ), and much needed coffee breaks. The trip to Sintra and the Peña Palace was great in April but the crowds are starting. Wear comfortable shoes and maybe grab lunch before Sintra. It was pricey and the food wasn’t stellar.
My tour guide, Patricia was amazing! Very professional, knowledgeable to the top! I've learned so much about each location, you can feel that she is passionate about what she does. Highly recommend this tour!
We booked this trip not really knowing what it would be like. Well, let me tell you, our group of 8 was hosted by Felipa and she was awesome! She was such a good tour guide, we all loved her. So knowledgeable, so personable, so experienced. If you have an opportunity to do this trip, GO FOR IT!!!
My husband and I were extremely lucky to be the only 2 who booked this tour! We had the tour all to ourselves! Our guide - Nuno - was absolutely amazing!! He is very passionate about his country and showing some of its beauty! He was extremely knowledgeable about history, culture and everything we saw. There was not one question he could not answer!!! When we stopped to eat, he did not direct us to just one spot. He made sure to provide us with several options and left the decision up to us. I would highly recommend this tour!! If you are very lucky, you will get to spend the day with Nuno!!
This tour was the bare minimum for a tour. The tour guide was okay. There was no microphone in the van so you couldn’t hear what he said. He answered questions but there was absolutely no pro-active stories or information from him. He didn’t even tell us where we were going next. I actually wouldn’t recommend this tour from this company. I could have paid for the 2 Euros for the train ride to the palace and been better off.
Excellent experience!! Our host Laurenco (I hope I spelled that right) was awesome. Punctual at meeting time, lunch, everything! He timed everything correctly so we would avoid the huge lines
My husband and I had a wonderful full day tour experience with our fantastic guide Nuno. He was not only knowledgeable about Portuguese history but also passionate about sharing that knowledge and answering any questions we had about Portuguese food, culture, politics, tourism, and the tourism industry generally. He was a delightful traveling companion as well as a terrific guide and we can recommend him highly. The tour itself is fun and a great way to see some of the area around Lisbon.
I was looking for a tour that would combine the seaside towns of Estoril and Cascais with Pena Palace. Was happy to have time to walk around both Cascais and Sintra and also to visit Cabo da Roca. Nuno was informative and high-energy. A great day!
The tour was great, very informative, enjoyable and a must see. The tour guide was very professional. Highly recommended.
Our guide Nuno was exceptionally knowledgeable about Portuguese history. He was very attentive to our needs.
This was an amazing tour and I highly recommend it. Our guide, Nuno, was knowledgeable about EVERYTHING related to Portugal, Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais… not just tour stops but history, culture, symbology, food and more. His whole spirit was joyful and made the excursion that much more wonderful. I would take any tour he is leading, you get so much more than your money’s worth. Sintra and Cascais are must see cities, and even a short visit to each made me want to return for more. Pena Palace was so lovely, and Nuno really took time to share so much information to enhance the experience. Book it, you will love it!
Our guide, Valerie, was outstanding. Keep tour on schedule without feeling rushed. He had an excellent knowledge of Portuguese history and shared wonderful information.
Be ready for a history filled tour. It was amazing from beginning to end. The tour took us to a few spots and our guide couldn’t have been better. So energy filled and just oozed history
Our tour guide, Filipa Borges, made the entire trip most memorable. She's knowledgeable, engaging, energetic, funny and her voice projects very well. Only wish that there was more time to spend at each stop.
A wonderful adventure to Sintra to Roco to Cascais. Our host Hugo was very knowledgeable and helpful in understanding the rich history of Portugal
Nuno was an excellent guide! So knowledgeable! He was also very kind in accommodating my walking difficulties and I had no trouble. In retrospect if I had known about how steep the trek was, I would have brought my knee brace. Nuno made it perfect! Sintra and Pena Palace is not to be missed! The history and architectural styles are wonderful to see! What an amazing place!
Sinatra and Pena Palace are lovely even if over popular leading to unavoidable road delays. Company is everything and the fact we were in a group of 6 made it extra special. Nounou was very informative and a passionate patriot. His knowledge was impressive and brought the tour to life. The walking isn’t for the faint hearted so please consider this to be fair to your fellow travellers. We were fortunate but I can imagine how the trip would have been negative had we not been able to move at the pace we did. It’s a long day so make sure you have plenty to drink and maybe a snack as we didn’t get to stop for lunch until around 4pm. There are facilities at Pena but we had the preferred option of going back to Sinatra where the recommended restaurant was excellent.
Nuno was the most considerate and knowledgeable guide. His knowledge of Portuguese history and his passion for all things Portugal were phenomenal. I highly recommend doing this tour with this company.
Our guide Nunow was excellent from start to finish. He was polite, accommodating and extremely knowledgeable. He made everyone in the group feel comfortable and encouraged us to ask questions, which really made the experience worthwhile. I would definitely recommend this tour to my friends.
Amazing tour to Sintra,Cabo Roca, Cascais and Pena Palace! Our guide Filipa was so nice, knowledgeable and accommodating. We were fortunate to have just the 4 of us in the group. The van was comfortable and it was a perfect day!
We had an amazing day enjoying the historical and natural beauty of Portugal. Our guide was knowledgeable, courteous and helpful, giving us the right mix of information and time to explore independently. The hotel drop off made this tour especially convenient. It was one of the best tours we had and I would highly recommend it!
The tour was great, beautiful Portuguese history and incredible views. Be prepared to walk a bit to get to the castle but it’s worth it. Our guide Nuno was amazing, he is very knowledgeable about the local history, took his time to explain all the places we stopped at and made the trip fun and enjoyable.
We thoroughly enjoyed our full day tour with Philippa. Her passion for sharing her love of Portugal (its sensational history and present state, beautiful landscapes and regional delicacies) were highlights!
Filipa was a great guide and made our day trip so easy and enjoyable!! This was a great way to see Pena Palace and Cascais. Filipa was informative and flexible with our group!! Would highly recommend this tour- guide and transportation all in one!!!
The best day of our trip so far! Luis took our family on an adventure to CasCais, Sintra, Pena Palace and more! He was extremely knowledgeable and shared great information- we learned so much! It felt like we were treated as family and we would take a tour with Luis again for sure! What a wonderful way to see the places we wanted to and learn so much along the way.
The trip was amazing and our guide Valerio was really kind! The views were super cool, great tour and everything was better than what we expected.
The tour was amazing!! I suuper recommend it. It’s way better to go with a tour guy, make sure you ask for Valerio, he was our tour guide and he really knows every detail about the places we visit and he was very kind and fun. The places where amazing, specially Cascais!! I loved it!!!
The guides were interesting and well informed, helpful and the 4 stops gave us plenty of time to look around an explore. Unfortunately, there was some miscommunication along the booking since we needed to be back at our ship by 5:30pm which would be too late if we stayed on tour until end. After our Uber was stuck in traffic and couldn't get to the pickup at Pena Palace, our guide was kind enough to procure the only available taxi there. We did end up boarding our ship in time.
This tour was my during my 4th day in Portugal. I was a small group of 3 total. It felt more like a private tour. Valerio was our tour guide. He was awesome! He was very enthusiastic and gave us a lot of historical information about Sintra and Pena Palace. Valerio engaged us and answered all questions. He is very knowledgeable about the history of all places in this tour. I highly recommend Valerio as a tour guide.
At the end of our 4 day visit to Lisbon we joined the "small group tour" to Sintra and the coastal area with Coba da Roca. Our excellent tour guide Valerio provided us with a lot of interesting information and pointed out to us many special and exciting details of the places we visited - thank you very much Valle! We would have missed out most of it had we done the trip by ourselves... as we initially had intended. Peter
