Luis was a great guy, very knowledgeable. I give him a 10 plus. Top of the line 5 stars. 10 stars.

Wow what a day , a fantastic experience made special by our fabulous guide Igor who was friendly and very knowledgeable but above all was determined to make sure we all had a great time , nothing was too much trouble for him . First class guide who I thoroughly recommend !
Igor was a wonderful guide, he was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend the day with.
Very good Tour guide Igor the best! Very informative and attentive to our needs!! Knows well Portugal history!!
Igor was an outstanding guide for our day through Sintra, Cabo da Roca, Pena Palace, Cascais, and Quinta da Regaleira. He picked us up at our hotel, and from there the day never felt rushed or like a checklist. In Sintra he made sure we tried the local pastries, Queijada de Sintra and Travesseiros, before we moved on. Both were excellent and a much better start than heading straight to the sites. From there we stopped at Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe. The cliffs and the Atlantic view were a highlight, and Igor timed it so we could take it in without feeling herded. Pena Palace is as colorful and dramatic as the photos, and Igor’s background turned the rooms and the hilltop views into a story instead of a walk-through. Lunch was at Restaurant Muchaxo, near Cascais, with a view toward the coast. We shared a giant bowl of seafood rice that was the highlight of the meal: fresh, generous, and exactly the Portuguese lunch you hope for on a day like this. We finished at Quinta da Regaleira and the tower. The estate is beautiful and a little mysterious. Igor gave us the context that makes the place click, then left us room to wander and take it in. Hotel pickup, thoughtful stops, good food, and a guide who was warm, knowledgeable, and easy to be with all day. We would book Igor again without hesitation.
Our guide,Luis Pinto-Coelho, was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and country and was able to connect with his audience. I appreciated the hotel pick up.
Luis was simply a fantastic guide. Extremely well-read, patient, and funny. You could tell that he has strong character given that he was seemingly best friends with every other guide and monument attendant on our tour. Seriously, I was wondering if he was the mayor of Sintra. All jokes aside, his knowledge of European (and Portuguese) history was truly remarkable. One of the most impressive guides I’ve ever had. I highly recommend Luis - and he speaks 7 languages (what else can’t he do???). This is an all day tour, so bring snacks and water!
Thank you Luis, a very passionate guide who showed us how beautiful Portugal is. The drive along the coast was beautiful, and the Pena Palace seemed surreal. The Reigalera well was very unique, nothing like I’ve ever seen before. I would recommend this tour if you have a full day and want to know the Lisbon area better !
Luis was the MOST AMAZING tour guide on our trip to Sintra. This tour is a definite must! Look no further- you won’t be disappointed. Loved the small group size. We had plenty of time to see all the sites while Luis shared the most comprehensive historical info with us. He could answer any question we asked! We learned so much from him. He was a book of knowledge with all things Portugal. The ride was comfortable and he picked us up right in front of our hotel. Such a great day. Thanks Luis! Don’t miss out on this day trip. A must do while in Lisbon.
Amazing day. Igor was the best guide. Informative, fun and gave us such insight into his life in Lisbon. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Nothing was a problem. I had a deadline back to my hotel and he kindly changed the drop off order.
We had a wonderful day in Sintra with Luis! He was very attentive, punctual, and professional, and speaks several languages extremely well. We were especially happy that he could speak French with us. Luis was also very flexible and adapted the tour to our plans, making sure we could visit Quinta da Regaleira using the tickets we had purchased separately from the group. We really appreciated his effort and thoughtfulness. The day in Sintra flew by! The itinerary was full and very well organized, and we enjoyed every part of it. Thank you, Luis, for making our day so enjoyable and memorable. Highly recommended!
Luis was an exceptional tour guide! Very informative and a pleasure to be around.
Luis was a wealth of local and historical knowledge. There was quite a lot of uphill walking on the tour and a challenge for older tourists. We survived and really enjoyed the tour.
This tour is presented as moderate activity. The tour guide had us climb steep hills after parking below despite there being a roadway to where we wound up. There are also site options. For the one we chose, all had the option to book at the site, for the other, there was no option and we were left in a small square for 2 hours. I contacted the tour company who did nothing but argue with me. The van was overcrowded and I as the eldest on this trip was hitting against the center console bruising my leg/knee. Unacceptable! It was the first day of our vacation and this experience soured Lisbon for us. DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR NOR ANY OTHER WITH THIS TOUR OPERATOR- LISBON NATIVE TOURS.
Luis was wonderful, kind, and patient. He was very knowledgeable and funny. We enjoyed our tour very much!
Luis was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and gave us an excellent recommendation for lunch. We had a brilliant day and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this trip!
Our guide Igor was pleasant knowledgeable.
Perfect experience. Lots of historic details On time Good driver Speaks well French Yqeh Thanks Luis.
My mom and I took this tour with Luis as our guide. It is a small group tour, which we loved, with a total of 8 people. Luis picked us up directly from our hotel and drove straight to Cascais for a brief stop to see this town, which was formerly the summer spot for the royal family. We then headed to the most westerly point of continental Europe, Cape Roca, with gorgeous views of the Atlantic Ocean and the cliffs. We then headed to Sintra and walked through the town to Regaleira, which is such a fascinating place. We then had about an hour and twenty minutes of free time for lunch and shopping. Luis recommended a great local restaurant and showed us the two pastries that are specific to Sintra for us to try. We ended our day at Pena Palace, which is a gorgeous place, but it was quite busy. We were lucky that the other places weren't too busy. Throughout the tour, Luis was a wealth of knowledge about the places we were visiting and the history of Portugal in general. He was a great guide, and he made our entire day seamless. We lucked out with amazing fellow travellers. My one caution is that this trip includes a lot of uphill walking and stairs to Regaleira and Pena Palace, so if you have mobility issues or difficulties navigating stairs, this tour is not for you as the day flows at a steady pace. Thank you, Luis, for sharing some of your country with us. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.
Loved the small group setting. Pick up and drop off made the tour less stressful and relaxing. Luis our guide was awesome, very knowledgeable, pleasure to travel with and very accommodating to the groups needs.
Obrigada!! Igor was fantastic :)
It was a fantastic trip to Sintra and Cabo da Roca. Our guide Louis was a great storyteller and picked up us on time. We have seen many breathtaking views and outstanding architecture and nature too. We recommend this trip to everyone who wants to discover Portuguese gem.
Igor Gonçalinho gave us a wonderful tour! He was really kind, and shared us many interesting details about old and modern Portugal. Totally worth the payment!
Igor was the best tour guide.. He gave us so much information about the area that by the end I felt like I had a good understanding of the history of Portugal. He was a safe driver and very polite. It was a Sunday and he gave us almost an extra hour. Time just flew by. This has nothing to do with Igor but I wish Trip Advisor would give a better understanding of the different trip options. We knew to buy tickets separate for Pena Palace ( which there was not enough time to go in) but we did not know we had to purchase Regaleira separately and I was disappointed to miss it.
A great guide a day well spent. Luis is very knowledgeable and on time. We got to the place smoothly avoiding rush hrs. He also gave us suggestions for lunch. Recommend him and the company too that was very professional.
Fantastic tour. Igor was a great guide, very knowledgeable and friendly person. He picked us up from our hotel. The car was clean and Igor is an excellent driver, clearly knows his cars too. Overall, a great tour.
Igor is the best. Very knowledgeable about all the sights. Highly recommended.
Igor was an amazing guide. He put all of us at ease with his wit, his excellent familiarity with the sites and towns we visited and overall cheerfulness. He took the time to check into any events planned that would interfere with our itinerary-- so he knew in advance about the race at the end of the world :-) and switched locations. The vehicle was cozy with room for all 8 of the travelers. We all learned a lot about the sites, the history and where to get sweet and savory treats. The amount of time on our own and with Igor was the right balance. Lunch was magnificent-- Igor kindly listed dishes we would find on local menus where we stopped. Less positive -- no fault of Igor's-- were the need for him to run to get air in one of the tires each time we had time on our own. Despite that, he remained positive & punctual. We were delayed a bit because Igor only received two tickets for our group to visit Pena Palace. In fact, he had to buy the rest himself! Highly recommend the activity!
Wonderful experience! It was a full day and lots of detailed info about the areas.
Definitely book the regaleira option. Was great having a pick up and drop off at your accommodations and travelling in a small group of 7. If you get Igor on the day you will be extra lucky. He was interesting informative and funny. He also made useful recommendations on how to get the most out of our day. He also kindly whatsapped various recommendations and handy hints for the rest of our stay. All in all a very enjoyable day
Luis provided our group of six with a good overview of the area with explanations of what we were seeing.
This trip was brilliant. Igor, our tour guide, picked us up at our hotel, this was a bonus, saved having to go looking for a collection point. The locations included were great, picturesque and unique, but made all the more interesting by Igor, whose historical, geographical and political knowledge was superb. He gave good instructions regarding places to eat, photo opportunities and timings. Sintra and Cabo de Rocha views were spectacular and are a must if you visit this area. Igor was able to navigate easily between locations, giving us maximum time at each POI and allowing us to see 4 great locations in one day. Highly recommended this trip and if able to, request Igor as your guide, he will add so much to your trip.
Interesting experience. The palace is fantastic. The view of the farest west point of Eurobean land is awsome. The tour guide explains every thing in English then in french because we had half of the team from Australia and half from the french Canada. Since I speak both english and French, I heared eveything twice. Interesting!
Igor was very knowledgeable and friendly. He definitely was an addition to the tour and I feel very blessed to have him as our tour guide!
This tour is a ‘can’t miss’ for anyone in Lisbon who desires to get out of the city and visit other interesting areas north and west of the city. The booking process was easy, and our amazing guide Vasco packed us up…and off we went! As described, we stopped first in Cascais and relaxed in the Bougie glow of the beach area, then we ventured to Cabo da Roca (the most western point of mainland Europe). Stop 3 was the amazing grounds and residence of Quinta Regaleira, and our final stop was the Peña Palace. An amazing day spent in beautiful places, with great company. Vasco was so. Pleasant and genuinely interested in us, and in providing us with the best experience possible. He is so relaxed and knowledgeable—just fantastic. I highly recommend this tour!
This was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Cascais is a charming beachfront town, offering a delightful selection of eateries and shops. Our second stop, Cabo da Roca, was truly exhilarating—its dramatic ocean views and iconic lighthouse provided stunning photo opportunities. Our tour guide, Vasco, was personable and highly knowledgeable, offering valuable insights into the history of each location as well as Portugal’s political and monarchical past. Sintra, our next destination, was enchanting—rustic, mystical, and full of character. We were given ample time to explore at our own pace and enjoy lunch at a local establishment, which enhanced the overall experience. The final stop at Pena Palace was breathtaking. The palace itself resembles a fairy-tale castle, surrounded by beautifully maintained grounds filled with diverse trees, flowers, and vegetation. Visitors should be prepared for a moderately challenging 20-minute uphill walk to the entrance; however, shuttle options are available for convenience. Overall, this tour was well-paced, informative, and memorable. A sincere thank you to Vasco for being such an outstanding host and guide.
This was a fantastic tour and our guide, Luis, was incredibly kind and knowledgable. We went with our baby and he made sure we were still able to do everything, very accommodating. Would highly recommend this tour!!
Our tour guide Igor was excellent—fun, engaging, and full of great insights. He made the experience enjoyable from start to finish and really brought everything to life.
andré was the best guide! he has a wealth of knowledge, goes out of his way to make sure everyone is included and having a good time, and is so kind. he also takes great pictures 😂💗 hotel pick up and drop off were seamless; i thoroughly enjoyed spending my day and highly recommend!
Great variety of experiences across Sintra and Cascais and Igor was a perfect guide. Friendly, knowledgeable and flexible.
Vasco was our guide and he was very informative. He recommended local pastries to try. We visited Pena palace and Sintra old town.
We visited Pena palace and the old town. Vasco was informative and told us lots of interesting facts about Portugal and Lisbon.
The trip was very nice, Igor is amazing, he tells a lot of stories and is very kind.
The Sintra and Sintra Castle tourvwa a wonderful experience. Louis was a great host and exceptional driver.
Excellent tour, a long day though, informative guide, saw some beautiful places, would highly recommend
Just returned from a fabulous tour to Sintra, with Egor, who made the day so interesting and kept us all entertained along the way! We saw the most beautiful scenery & small villages in and around Cascais & visited the Westernmost tip of the European continent, followed by a delicious lunch overlooking by the sea. The day was topped off by the visit to the Pena Palace- a true fairy tale palace high in the hills, definitely not to be missed no matter your age. We would highly recommend this day tour- and don’t forget ask for Egor- he will make your day!
We had an amazing trip with Igor! He catered to every need and question we had, was an excellent conversationalist and of course, had just the right amount of information/history to provide as I was traveling with my son. This area of Portugal is unique and beautiful — I would highly recommend this tour as a respite from the city and to see more of what this beautiful country has to offer!
Sintra is an amazing town. We already want to go back because we feel we only scratched the surface. Our tour guide Luis was amazing. He spoke many languages and adapted to each person in the group. He answered all our questions, and had plenty of stories about the history of the region. He was generous with his knowledge and kind all throughout the day. Highly recommended this tour 👌
Igor was an excellent guide. He gave the background and histories on all of our stops. Gave great lunch recommendations too!
Luis was fantastic! His historical knowledge of every place that we visited was more than just him memorizing facts and regurgitating them; he has intimate knowledge and understanding. He was safe, prompt, friendly, and allowed the perfect amount of time for our own exploring. Would definitely recommend Luis and this tour!
