Sintra, Cascais And Estoril Private Full Day Sightseeing Tour From Lisbon

Traveling through the country to Sintra and Cascais was filled with spring color and bright skies. Carlos was our driver/tour director who had an impressive command of the sites we visited. Our first stop was to visit the National Palace of Queluz. The opulence and excess were demonstrated in lavish gardens, an extensive array of rooms for every imaginable activity. The Park and Palace of Pena was seen from a distance along with other castles and villas. We enjoyed views of the Atlantic Ocean as we made our way to Cascais from the north. What we discovered was a picturesque seaside village, perfect for vacationing. Carlos provided us time to lunch and relax. The day was a wonderful day of discovery.

The main attraction was well worth it. Ricky was extremely knowledgeable. He knows all the particular details. We were able to get to the understanding of what we wanted to to and Ricky understood. He got us a good place to eat for lunch

This is a SCAM and not worth your Money. This is NOT a private guided Tour , but just a private van with driver. I paid $380 while I could have spent ~$80 with Uber. The driver picked us up, and when we asked if he would join us in the Castle / palace he said "no". He called the agency and they mentioned that this is how Viator has setup . If we wanted a private tour guide we should have explicitly asked for one and it would have cost an additional $200ish. This is rotten advertising. The booking detail mentioned "private tour/guide" . I had read the reviews and was still ok with having a single person be the driver and tour guide, but the driver just sat in the car and waited for us and did NOT come with us inside the castle/palace to explain any of the culture/history of the sites. This review is not against the driver (Carlos) . He was kind and caring, he showed us around and drove the long way to show us the scenic route via the coast line.

Carlos was a brilliant guide showing me around. We packed a lot into a day. He highly tailored the day for me.

We went to Sintra primarily and hopped out at a couple places near Cabo da Rocha and drove through Cascais (our goal was to focus on Sintra). The company is very professional and easy to deal with and I enjoyed working with Antonio to set up plans. The van that took us around was very nice -clean and perfect size for the family with lots of space. Luis, our driver, was an absolute delight and real professional. He got us where we needed to be, was always on time and easy to contact, and provided some helpful tips (and also took some great photos for us). Keep in mind the driver is not a tour guide and does not visit the sites with you. I could not imagine getting around Sintra any other way given the August crowds. Also reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Our tour guide Andre was amazing. Very friendly and informative. He made the tour so much better with his friendliness and kindness. He also suggested a phenomenal restaurant where we had one of the best seafood lunches in Portugal with a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean. Name of the place is called Furnas Do Guincho. Also, Andre invited us to the best pasty shop and liquor store (we had a Ginja) in Sintra. Would highly recommend Seconds and Minutes for this tour. Can’t complete this review without mentioning Antonio. He organized everything and did a wonderful job. He answered every question we had and the response time was incredibly quick. Obregado Antonio!

We spent an entire day with Sónia on a private tour. Being a large group with ambitious plans of seeing many sights in Sintra, Cabo and Cascais did not faze Sónia and the team over at Seconds and Minutes. Regular communication to setup the trip and ensuring our expectations were set, this team is thoroughly professional. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time and we saw so many wonderful sights! The team of Antonio and Sonia made this day the most memorable day of our Lisbon trip! Highly recommend!!

I honestly can't say enough great things about this tour. It is absolutely worth every penny! Andre was a fantastic host, incredibly knowledgeable on all things Portugal, and was courteous and accommodating for our son's peanut allergy. He took us to amazing authentic places for lunch and snacks, and made an already incredible day that much more memorable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone regardless of age, families, single travellers, couples, everyone will get something out of this tour. It's really perfect for families with kids as its the best compromise between walking and driving.

Our driver Andre was well educated(college) and well informed about the history of Portugal which he shared with us during the day. He helofully suggested buying Pena Palace tickets online in advancee and offered us a chance to either have a lovely lunch by the sea or more time on tour. We chose the former and it was delightful.

Our guide Andre was great. He was very knowledgeable and made our trip very enjoyable. Highly recommend the trip.

<p>Sintra was amazing and enjoyed that part of tour the most but rest of tour was mainly driving through Cascais and Estoril with no stops for photos or much beyond the drive.</p>

<p>The tour guide was driver and not a tour guide. He did not know when the Palace Pena opened. We got there at 9. It opens at 9:45, he decided to go for a quick tour in Sintra. By the time we got back to Pena the lines were incredibly long. At Sintra he mistook the Palace for church. Dissatisfied!</p>

<p>An incredible experience. A spacious Mercedes for my parents/spouse/I - a great tour guide, and wonderful sights. Our tour guide was spot on, understanding our desire to Avoid the lines and get in/get out of certain areas. We had an absolute blast seeing the castle, the coastline, and the historic towns. We had a lovely authentic meal at a restaurant as well. Note: this is the first viator tour where we weren't brought to some high-commission shop for souvenirs - we were free to walk/shop around as desired. Trust me, folks - while this tour isn't exactly cheap - what you pay for is far far worth it. You do not want to be shuffled around on a tour bus of 100 old people.</p>

He was lovely to spend the day with, so very insightful and we got to take in all the stunning sights while getting a unique feel for the places we visited. The day was really well balanced and we felt extremely well taken care of. He went out of his way to make the experience a memorable one. Simply a must!</p>

<p>My family recently visited Portugal and toured with Andre for full day Sintra, Cascais and Estoril Sightseeing Tour. Andre is so knowledgeable, enthusiastic and interesting....the place came alive with all the facts and stories that he told. Ardre is an amazing tour guide and our time with him significantly enhanced our visit. He is flexible and creates individualized itineraries and makes adjustments based on our needs. Cascais is great place to visit and we wish we could stay there longer. The April weather in Sintra is very unpredictable and we got pounded be the rain.</p>

It was very private, our guide is friend Fabíola Guia Ruiva gives us a lot of information and leaves us very peaceful throughout the journey, as a driver and guide, the care from the booking, beginning, during and the end of the tour is impeccable.

We booked transfers and tours with Seconds and Minutes for the third time. This time, we were accompanied by the guide "Ruiva", who is a super attentive, punctual, and lively person. We traveled as a family and everyone, without exception, really enjoyed the experience and the tours we took with her, who showed us in great detail the charms of the places we visited.

We purchased an entire day departing from Lisbon to Sintra, Cascais, Estoril and Cabo Roca. We were four passengers and we were punctually received by Fabíola, who waited for us at the hotel door at the scheduled time. We followed our tour and soon noticed the kindness of the conterrânea (Pernambucana) that guided us to our first destination with a lot of zeal and a lot of tourist information about our whole tour. Fabíola (the red) was a chapter apart and a grateful surprise, in our fantastic experience with Seconds And Minutes, our respect for her professionalism and excellent company.... During our day we received tips, historical and tourist information about the attractions we were visiting. We had a quiet, safe, pleasant, and rich day of culture and unparalleled landscapes. We traveled in April 2018 and we came back full of missing!

Fantastic guides, who treat you well, leave you at ease and, most importantly, know a lot about the history of the places that take you. We made a full-day tour to Sintra, Cascais and Estoril and another full-day to Fatima, Óbidos, Nazaré and Batalha, in addition to the transfers from our lodging to Lisbon airport. Much professionalism and punctuality. Cars in great condition and totally private tours: we did not do the tours together with strangers. It was just our group, so the tours were at our pace.
