Our guide Elisa was great. She explained a lot and was able to cope up with English and Spanish translation. She even was our photographer. Will definitely look another trip when we come bacl.

Itinerary
The Palacio Nacional da Pena is one of the finest tourist attractions of Portugal and exemplifies the 19th century Romanticism style of architecture. The palace is a hedonistic mix of vividly painted terraces, decorative battlements, and mythological statues, all of which stand in stark contrast to the lush greens of the forests that encircle Pena. ------------------ Due to the storm on March 19th and 20th, visits to Pena are subject to security concerns until April 16th. Alternatively, another Palace will be visited at no extra cost.
Step into a realm of enchantment in the heart of Sintra, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Wander through cobblestone streets lined with colorful houses, discover hidden courtyards, and marvel at the architectural wonders that have captivated visitors for centuries. The Sintra Historical Center is a captivating blend of Moorish, Gothic, and Manueline styles, offering a glimpse into Portugal's rich history and artistic heritage.
The Boca do Inferno is an interesting cliff formation close to Cascais, which has been given an overly dramatic name of Hell’s Mouth. The ceaseless pounding of the Atlantic Ocean on the cliffs chiseled out a small cave, which subsequently collapsed forming a small bay and natural arch.
Cascais is a delightful Portuguese fishing town, and is the Lisbon’s coastline most popular holiday destination. The town is situated on a beautiful coastline, and during the summer it is a bustling resort, with a buzzing holiday atmosphere.
Cabo da Roca is a cape which forms the westernmost extent of mainland Portugal, continental Europe and the Eurasian land mass. Around 150 metres above the sea, here you can have a panoramic view over the Serra de Sintra and the coast, which makes it worth the visit. Historical records indicate that there was a fort on Cabo da Roca in the 17th century that played an important part in guarding the entrance to Lisbon’s harbour, forming a defensive line along the coast, especially during the Peninsular Wars. Today there are only traces, as well as the lighthouse which is still an important point for navigation. It lies within the Parque Natural de Sintra-Cascais and is one of the points of interest on the walking trails that can be followed here, along the coast.

Very relaxed tour with lots of free time at each stop which was perfect. Opportunity to get in quite a few sites in one day without feeling completely exhausted at the end.
After another tour to Sintra cancelled on us the night before, we booked this tour very last minute at 1am the day of the tour and they saved our trip! It was a private tour in a comfortable van with stops in Cascais and Sintra. It included tickets to Sintra which allowed us to skip the long lines. Our tour guide Nuno was the best tour guide! He was informative and kept us laughing the whole trip. He gave us plenty of time at each stop to enjoy the sites. I would highly recommend this tour! It’s worth it to use a tour instead of going on your own to Sintra
They were supposed to be pick up my Hotel but they DIDN'T. It lost my time and energy to find pickup place!!! VERY DISSAPOINTED!
She paid attention to our requests, was patient with us, and presented everything to us in a professional manner.
Pedro was wonderful. We didn’t have euros to tip him, and are trying to contact the company to get in touch to have a way to send him something.
Our driver, Elisa, drove us to Sintra, Cascais and other points of interest - with a lovely stop for lunch. She knew where to park and how to maximize our experiences throughout the day. There was some uphill walking, but we enjoyed the exercise! Wear sturdy shoes for your comfort.
The tour itself was fantastic. Elisa, our tour guide, was quite knowledgeable, accommodating, answered questions, and showed us many interesting sites. The lunch spot was very tasty and lovely. I’d recommend visiting the Queen’s palace in Sintra as you will have enough time to go through it. The Pena Palace was great to tour even though we couldn’t go inside it (the line is extremely long). The views near and in Cascais were incredible. The entire tour takes all day (9 hours). Unfortunately, 5 of us (tour guide + 2 couples) had to squeeze into a Kia to travel to Sintra and Cascais which was quite uncomfortable for us as we are tall people and one of us was stuck in the middle back seat.
We got to see beautiful sights of Portugal that we would not have been able to, given our itinerary. Our guide Alex was very knowledgeable of the history and locations. He gave us plenty of time to explore ourselves and had a sense of humour that made the day all the more enjoyable. Thoroughly recommend Alex as your guide and the tour.
See many nice tourist attractions in one day. Although very crowded with tourists, our guide was able to show us everything quickly with excellent commentary.
Guide is excellent and had enough time reserved for each location.
We have had a very pleasant day trip to Sintra and Cascais area. Visited Peña palace, west most point of Europe, and lovely Cascais. The driver was very kind and knowledgeable, picked up and dropped off us right at hotel.
Highly recommend. Our guide was lovely and very knowledgeable. Made us feel included and looked after. Good range of stops. Enough free time in each stop to look round. Pena palace was a particular highlight.
Effortless trip to Sintra… Our guide was the most pleasant individual and he had a lot of knowledge about the area. He was able to get us to the Pena Palace eliminating all traffic and confusion. Our trip did not include the interior of the palace but rather the exterior balconies and views. The lines for interior were very long and would not have been worth it to us. It was very hot but we stayed in the shade whenever possible. All of the other coastal stops were beautiful. The lunch stop at a farm to table family farm was an exceptional experience.
Viator cancelled on a tour I had booked in July.Ok just rebook. I did and 8 hours before the tour Viator cancelled again. We weren’t able to rebook any other tours to another company due to running out of time in Lisbon. Will not use Viator service again.
Wonderful trip, had a great time! The hotel pick-up was super convenient, as we were traveling with small children. The guide was amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and great with the kids. Would definitely recommend and look forward to booking again!!
Bruno is an exceptional guide who shared with us the history of the king and his family; and all the important events in Portugal, particularly in Lisbon. He pointed to us the location of celebrities home and the huge property of Ronaldo. We enjoyed his personality switching from Portuguese to English. I highly recommend him and will seek his tour services in the future.
Managed to see a lot and learn the history. The experience was as described in the itinerary. The allotted time was just enough to learn and see all the places we saw.
The tour guide Bruno is very energetic, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. The time arrangement is perfect. I will definitely recommend to my friends.
Bruno was a very knowledgeable and friendly tour guide taking us to all the sights and making sure to stop at breathtaking vistas. He took some very creative pictures of us and is talented. He goes above and beyond to make the trip special. He also took us to a local restaurant by the beach. He gives you ample breaks to wonder a bit.
Bruno is amazing. Great local knowledge, as friendly as can be, and a joy to spend a day with. I don’t imagine there are many tour guides better than him. I’d recommend HIM 10 times out of 10.
Fantastic trip, wish we had time to visit the inside of Pena Palace. Tour guide, Bruno explained everything clearly. Lunch place was a great recommendation.
Awesome experience! A very full day and you may be tired at the end of it but it was so worth it. Our guide Paolo, was fantastic! He filled the day with countless stories and details about all the sites. A great way to see a lot of things around Portugal in a short amount of time, highly recommend!
Great small tour with loads of flexibility. Paulo was fabulous. Lunch is Cascais was great. Perfect for a family day.
Incredible day! Highly recommend! Our guide Euros was super knowledgable and fun
Eros was amazing funny and very smart he knew everything there is to know about the tour please if you go on a tour I hope you get him your day will be perfect because he will make sure of it.
Know that this experience DOESN'T provide tickets to tour inside the palace. You only walk around the exterior and a brief visit to the chapel. It also doesn't allow enough time to visit the gardens or the Contessa's home. The guide will accompany you and provide commentary regarding what you are seeing. The free time in Sintra is unaccompanied. I feel this is a fallacy in this tour. The guide is there and could easily accompany you and provide a brief tour of a very interesting city. The stop at Cabo da Roca is short, but enough to allow some nice pictures of the farthest point west in Europe, The stop in Cascais is also unaccompanied. We thought it a waste of time. Antonio, our guide, was very friendly and personable. His English is excellent. He did the best he could with the limitations of the tour. The fault with this tour is the design, not his execution. We should've read the tour description more carefully. It has merit, but the cost/value proposition is not in balance.
Eros was great! Picked us up at meeting point. Got us to all the planned destinations. Loved Pena Palace, Sintra and Cascais! Had lunch with us. It was an amazing day all the way around. Absolutely loved our small group, new friends! Thank you!
Eros was an amazing guide!!! He was knowledgeable and friendly but also gave us plenty of space to have with our family. He was so very considerate. I would recommend him as a guide to anyone and everyone who wants to see the great sights of Lisbon and the surrounding areas.
It was great to be able to get picked up right all the hotel and have a guide who was knowledgeable about the area. Plenty on time to explore the sites while also having free time to explore the cities we were in.
Jose communicated when he was gonna be there and was very positive and knowledgeable throughout the whole trip. We learned lots and so happy we use this company to go to Sintra. I think the hotel pick up added a lot where we didn’t have to worry about going somewhere and at the end of the tour we were just dropped right back off at our hotel.
Amazing experience, Eros our tour guy was the best. Took care of all very well. Describe all the locations we visited
This tour was amazing! Antonio was such a good tour guide explaining all the sites we visited. He was very knowledgeable & had no issues answering our questions. This is definitely a tour worth booking as you need to have someone who knows where your going & what your seeing :)
Pena / Sintra are extremely busy places with long queues. The restaurant selected by the guide (company) is a typical mass tourist place and not the "private, quiet" restaurant that was announced.
There was a lot of walking up a steep hill to the palace. The time at each stop was great and allowed you to enjoy each stop.
Two adults + two children ages 8 and 12 absolutely loved the tour. Lucas was exceptionally knowledgable on Lisbon including the history and the architecture. His love for his home city was evident throughout the tour. We arrived in Lisbon for a half day on Saturday and then did this tour first thing on Sunday. It really helped us to understand the city’s layout and to get a sense for how else we were going to spend remaining free time in the city. Lucas set the bar high for other tours during our stay in Portugal and the family agreed we were glad we had him to kick off our vacation.
Jose was very friendly and knowledgeable gave great recommendations at all the stops, we were able go off and explore for a bit as well. Would recommend.
We got screwed, you canceled today's trip, today's weather is perfect, tomorrow is miserable and will not work for us 🙃
I went on the tour with Bruno as my guide and had an amazing time. He drove us to all the main places and explained the history behind them, then gave us some free time to explore on our own. Highly recommended!
Good over view of the areas visited. Much nicer than big bus tour. Our driver/guide(Peter) went above and beyond to provide personal service and to meet everyone's needs.
- We booked this day trip at the last minute, and it was definitely a highlight of our trip to lisbon - Convenient pickup / drop off location - Travel in comfort in a Mercedes van - Small group experience - is so much better than a large bus full of people - our tour guide was next level - thanks Bruno - he shared history / stories related to all places we visited. He brought the tour to life - He had so many connections on the way (he knew people everywhere we went), which made our trip stress free and more enjoyable - I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this experience. It is well worth the money! - thanks again Bruno !!!
Very nice tour, lots of stairs, walking up hill, cobblestone streets. Our driver was very knowledgeable.
Fantastic tour guides. Very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The tour was a great experience all around.
Our guide, Antonio, was fabulous. We had a small group which meant he could tailor the information to us and answered all of our questions. Sintra is magical and the Penna palace was fascinating. Both are really busy so it was good to have someone to guide us.
Bruno was an excellent tour guide! He was compassionate about his work, kind to the clients, ensured everyone was safe and made for a wonderful day! We would highly recommend him.
Bruno, our tour guide was wonderful He was knowledgeable on all points He also enjoys his job He was entertaining and strive to make us happy and comfortable Great Tour!
Plan ahead what you would like to see at the stops and do your own restaurant research. This tour basically lets you loose in the palace tour available, Sintra, and Cascais, with only a few quick anecdotes. Other stops are self explanatory and rather silly, but fun and good for a few quick photos.
You don't have to pay to join this trip because they let stranger with out confirmation to join their tour. This company is not professional. you just wait to the meeting point they set and they would never come. you will not be picked up at the meeting point, no refund solution is offered. just be careful They said a professional tour company but none could give solution ( they also delete my review in google for business reason to appeal good star review )
I was very disappointed we only spent 30 minutes in Sintra and not the one hour as advertised as part of the itinerary. Other than that, it was a fabulous day with our amazing tour guide Mateo.
Amazing trip, our guide was Matteo who was very friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The tour was extremely interesting. We were collected and dropped off at our apartment, all on time.
