Setúbal: Winery & Fish Market Tasting Tour From Lisbon

We had an excellent experience with Flávio on our last day of touring in Portugal. Without a doubt, it was a very special way to end our trip. From the very beginning, he showed great kindness, professionalism, attentiveness and courtesy. He guided the entire tour with calmness, knowledge and a great sense of humor, taking us through Vila Nogueira de Azeitão, the Bacalhôa Palace, Setúbal, São Filipe Fort and the Livramento Market, always adding interesting information and making every stop more enjoyable. I would especially like to highlight the care and attention he showed toward my mother throughout the entire day. When traveling with an older family member, this kind of consideration makes a huge difference. At no point did we feel rushed or uncomfortable. On the contrary, the whole experience was relaxed, pleasant and very well conducted. We were also fortunate to share the tour with the lovely Shanice, which made the day even more enjoyable. Flávio created such a friendly and relaxed atmosphere that, by the end of the day, it felt less like we had taken part in a guided tour and more like we had spent the day with new friends. It was the perfect ending to our time in Portugal. I highly recommend Flávio without any hesitation. He is an excellent professional, an excellent guide and, above all, an extremely kind and attentive person. If we return to Portugal, we would certainly be very happy to meet him again. 10/10. Flávio conseguiu criar um ambiente tão descontraído que, ao final, a sensação era menos de termos participado de um tour e mais de termos passado o dia acompanhados de novos amigos. Foi um encerramento perfeito para nossa passagem por Portugal. Recomendo o Flávio sem qualquer ressalva. Excelente profissional, excelente guia e, acima de tudo, uma pessoa extremamente agradável e atenciosa. Se voltarmos a Portugal, certamente gostaríamos de encontrá-lo novamente. Nota: 10/10. We had a lovely day exploring Setúbal with Flavio as our guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the journey really enjoyable, sharing interesting history and stories about the places we passed along the way. The winery was beautiful, the fish market was a great experience and the food we tried was delicious. It was a fun and memorable day!

We had an amazing time as a couple on our Setúbal winery and fish market tour in May 2026. Our tour guide, Flavio, was fantastic! During our half-day tour from Lisbon, we stopped at a local cafe then toured the Bacalhôa palace followed by the tasting room. We then visited the Setúbal fish market where we had charcuterie and wine and sampled some other local dishes as well. Flavio shared many interesting things about Setúbal, and we enjoyed all the stops on the tour. Flavio was an excellent tour guide and extended the utmost hospitality. The tour was peaceful, relaxing, and fun - in summary, we highly recommend this tour!!!

Amazing tour. Got a good understanding of south of Portugal. Lunch provided with tour is very fresh. No language barrier. Flavio was our tour guide and spoke English very well.

Inexperienced driver. Our driver arrived early to tour the winery so he took us to a nice cafe and offered us cappuccinos and wonderful pastries. When it was time to pay he asked us to pay for our refreshments. Totally inappropriate!!!!! His English was limited and he couldn’t answer questions about what we were seeing.

This tour was great. Our tour guide Francisco was great! He gave us enough information about Portugal (in general no just things related to wine) and I thought that was great! My mom was the only one in the group that didn’t speak English, and Francisco did his best to explain her the most important things of the tour in Spanish. I definitely enjoyed this tour.

Francisco was an amazing guide! Incredible informative and sharing information/ history on every area we were in but also on the areas and places we passed through on our journey to the market, winery and then castle. He was also, amazingly, translating in Spanish and English to accommodate everyone in our small group. He was not only a great guide but very friendly and sharing tips/ suggestions on other things to do in Lisbon. We had a great morning thanks to him!

During our trip to Lisbon, we took a day trip to Bacalhôa Winery, and it was an unforgettable experience. Our day started with a visit to the winery, where we were guided through their impressive art collection and the wine-making process by a knowledgeable local guide. The art was stunning, and the wine tasting was a real treat, with each wine offering a unique flavor. After the winery visit, Francesco, our guide, took us to explore the bustling Setúbal market. The market was full of vibrant colors and fresh local produce, and Francesco introduced us to some delicious regional specialties. We ended our day with lunch at a small, cozy snack bar that Francesco recommended. The food was fantastic—simple, fresh, and full of traditional Portuguese flavors. Overall, the day was perfect, combining culture, wine, and local experiences, all made special by Francesco’s excellent guidance. If you're visiting Lisbon, this trip is a must!

We not only did wine tasting but we also had the chance to visit some local places such as a local coffee shop and a windmill we could get inside of. The ambiance was amazing.

Marcus was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the area. The views were breathtaking. We stopped at an old windmill that makes the flour for the pastry shop we stopped at. The wine tasting was a great experience.

Arturo was lovely but spoke no english. No information could be provided due to language barrier. First winery was closed. We did not get a tour of the vineyard as planned. We had one visit to Manzwine. This was a a lot of time for one vineyard visit. I would not recommend.

Marcos is an incredibly friendly and authentic individual. Describing himself as just the driver, he is in reality much more. Engaging and authentic conversations, he’ll take you around Lisbon’s wine country while making stops at his community’s windmill grain processing factory and charming cafes in a Jeep.

Marcos was excellent driver, he took us from Lisbon to the winery and showed us the windmills working. He took us having a cup of coffee and pastries in a coffeeshop that used the flours from the same mill. Nice experience.

Great way to get out of the city and into the countryside! We had a lovely drive to the vineyard followed by a fun drive through the towns in the jeep. Touring the production area of the vineyard was interesting and educational, and the tasting that followed was supreme.

My fiancé and I enjoyed this experience very much. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable and the tour was interesting.

We had the most amazing time. Marcus was our driver and he told us so much about the local area. We got to visit a local mill before our tour and were then taken to a lovely local bakery where we ate delicious pastries and excellent coffees. The wine tour we informative and Sonia we very generous with her time and expertise. I would highly recommend this experience to a friend.

Great experience and met great people! The 4wd ride through the adjacent town to get espresso was so fun. We also got to tour a windmill where grain is pressed. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided background for the uniqueness of the wines from this region so close to the ocean. Recommend!

What fun to zip in and around vineyards in a Jeep!! The half day was perfect for my tight schedule. Four of us tourists sampled at least 6 wines first in the vineyard, then inside a villa surrounded by giant oak barrels then in the new tasting room with a panoramic view. Rosa was fun, knowledgeable and very nice to listen to. I can tell she loves her job. I loved the wines and the Jeep experience. I couldn’t believe how good the wine prices are at this winery. Next time I will bring back bottles.

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and fun. The winery is beautiful and the wine delicious. It was a pretty easy pick up and customer service was very responsive when we called with questions. The visit was one of the highlights of our trip and we happily brought some wine back with us!

The tour is wonderful, very good and we recommend the guide Francisco Maia, attentive and very communicative on his tour. We like to visit the market the table of colds and food are well served, many local products and excellent quality. Then we went to Castelo de Filipe, where the view is very beautiful and has an excellent historical appeal, worth the stop. Finally we went to the Fonseca winery, where the wine is produced Periquita one of the Brazilian's favourite, excellent tour a lot of history and very interesting we strongly recommend the very good tour.
