Excellent tour. Tour van was comfortable and spotless. Our tour guide Tomas Pedrosa was what made the tour especially wonderful. He was so knowledgeable and personable. I highly recommend this private tour.

First stop at Pena Park and see the diversity of plants and trees line the beautiful trails. Continue to Pena National Palace, the most famous of Sintra’s monuments, located at the top of Sintra Mountain. Enjoy this 19th-century Romanticist castle that looks and feels like a fairy tale. Admire its eclectic Neo-Manueline, Neo-Gothic and Neo-Renaissance styles as you head inside. Observe the extravagant bedrooms that used to serve as a summer residence for the royal family
The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sintra. Spend some free time to have lunch or discover the town’s forested palaces like Sintra National Palace, a medieval royal palace occupied from the 15th to 19th centuries (own expense). Check out the local fare with tastes of queijada or travesseiro, two scrumptious and traditional pastries.
Whip out your camera for great photos at the rocky bluffs of Roca Cape (Cabo da Roca), Europe’s westernmost point.
Briefly, visit Guincho Beach where surfers shred the gnar.
In the former fishing town of Cascais, peruse the narrow streets of this trendy vacation getaway with your guide. Check out classic white, terracotta-roofed houses as you make your way to the beach. Then, bask in the sun as you tuck your toes into the golden sands and gaze over the expansive Atlantic Ocean.
Along the journey back to central Lisbon, where your tour concludes, enjoy pristine views of the scenic town of Estoril.

This was a wonderful experience. Sintea is beautiful. We also enjoy Kais Kais. Our guide was very friendly and informative. Highly recommend.
Tito was fabulous with us and extremely knowledgeable, not just about the history but everything we asked. Thank you so much. What a day
An excellent value small group trip. Our guide Fabio picked us up exactly on time, was cheerful, informative and prompt all day. He answered a myriad of questions, advised us on lunch venues at Cascais, and places to see in Sintra, and generally made the trip a very pleasant experience. Many thanks.
Leonardo was an exceptional guide and would go again with h him.
Fantastic trip with knowledge guide, Tito.
The tour is very well planned. Our guide, Fabio Felix, was knowledgeable and friendly. The highlight was definitely Palazzo Pena closely followed by Cabo da Roca. I expected more from Cascais!
Oogle was an informative and friendly guide. The pace was perfect with sightseeing and time to explore. He also gave us recommendations which we followed. It made my trip to Lisbon a memorable experience.
Great day visiting Sintra and Cascais. Tour was very organized and made the day full or different things and very enjoyable. It was very well worth the money and tour guide did a great job of explaining about each visit
Right from the start, our guide Thomas, engaged with us and immediately began sharing facts about our upcoming day, Portugal’s history and culture. He was an excellent driver and kept us entertained throughout the day. I highly recommend this day trip!
Great tour! Our guide Alberto was the best, my family really enjoyed the tour!
Fabio was a fabulous guide. Loved Cascais.
Woweeeee Paulo. Was amazing I felt like we were in a history class he described everything in such detail. Would recommend this tour but just be aware you really need great shoes, comfortable shoes and you need to be able to walk Hills other than that. This is a do not miss.
Tour very good with small group of 7 in a clean van and our guide was excellent, polite, energetic to share information. The Palace has limited to only certain rooms and very crowded with tourists. And cooler there bring a sweater! Sintra town much too touristy. Cascais we enjoyed much more, beautiful town less touristy and ate lunch at beautiful seaside hotel restaurant with stunning views. Le cafe Albatroz. Only had 2 hours there, did little a shopping. Overall recommend the tour. I'd skip palace and go to caiscais longer and see more there on your own
Tito was a knowledgeable and friendly guide. There was too much time at the stops without much to do.
Excellent tour. Guide was knowledgeable, friendly and spoke very good English. Reasonably agressive walk up to Peña Palace for 70+ year old group but guide took it slow and everyone made it. Town of Cascais was very beautiful. All six of us were very happy.
The morning pick up was chaotic and started a bit late.
This was a good tour that was hampered by circumstances outside the control of the tour operator. All those pictures of Peña Palace with clear, blue skies seem to be rare. We experienced thick, drenching fog that brought visibility down to about 50 feet. Therefore you are really unable to see the magnificence of this castle. Once inside things were GREAT. But outside, it was like roaming around in a horror film with thick, thick fog everywhere. The tour guide did a fine job though.
Exactly as advertised. Prompt and easy pickup. Guide was Benny Ribeiro. He was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and precise. He explained the trip in the morning with approximate times and it all worked out on schedule. Sintra and the castles were great. The well was more impressive in person. Then wonderful town of Cascais for lunch to end out the trip. Small group of 7 people in a nice van. I recommend this trip and ask for Benny!!
An amazing day trip - couldn’t recommend more. We went early and in nice weather so that helped. It’s very busy on the later tours. Benny our tour guide was amazing. Very informative, full of fun facts, great recommendations at each stop. Loved the afternoon lunch stop in Cascais, it really put a personal touch on a tourist tour type of day. Very glad I booked overall.
The tour guide, Benny, is very friendly and informative. Not only the historical knowledge, he also recommends the restaurant for our lunch for the trip. Though it’s a short trip within a day, it’s lovely and recommendable. 👍
Terrific day with great guide/driver, Antonio. Sintra spellbinds. Cascais is so chill. Lots of interesting scenery and experienced. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
It was a great trip and loved the tour. The palace was beautiful. The guide was great. Really enjoyed the day.
Smooth booking process, easy pick up and best of all a wonderful driver/guide in Miguel/Franklin. The drive in the mini-van was very comfortable and Miguel was very informative, helpful and fun
Great tour covering Pena Palace, Sintra (1hour), Capa Roca, Cascais (2hours). Our guide, Jon C., was excellent.
Excellent tour of Sintra but for us the highlight was visiting Cascais and coming down the Atlantic Coast to Lisbon.
Great one day trip to Sintra palace. Yannick is a great guide, very patient and knows lots of stuff about the history of things we visited during the tour. I recommend Yannik and his company.
It was good. The guide is a little bit dry on his delivery. Would have loved to spin more time in Sintra
The tour was as described. The company is very organized and the tours follow a prescribed timetable, which still allows for two durations of free time to explore. Yes, you can take trains into these areas, but having Philipe share his knowledge is a big advantage as is getting into and through the venues was also a big plus. We would recommend this tour for anyone who wishes to avoid the hassles of travel, wait lines and steep hill climbs. Thank you Philipe.
Awesome tour. Our guide Fabio Felix was very knowledgeable and provided us with a detailed explanation of the history and overall a great experience. We highly recommend this tour.
Took this tour with my daughter. Benny our guide was great. He was friendly and very informative. I do have to say, I would have liked to have had more time to walk around Sintra. There is just so much to see, an hour is not enough. Cascais was great and Benny’s recommendations were on point. Overall, had an amazing time!
Wonderful way to spend a day exploring outside Lisbon. Nicely paced to see the sights and my tour guide, Margarita was welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable.
Antonio is an excellent guide!
Benny was great! Very knowledgeable and kind! Sights were gorgeous!
Great tour with Orlando, guiding our tour
Benny was our guide into Sintra and Cascais. He was easy to talk to and had thorough knowledge of all the areas with little gems added into his talks. Pena Palace is beautiful and is a must do as early as possible as the palace gets crowded quickly. My only wish is that we had more time to include Regaliera but you can book that separately but lose the beauty of Cascais. Cascais is a breathtaking beach town that you don’t want to miss. Our kids enjoyed the trip and took many pictures die instagram 🤣. I would book again with Inside Lisbon tour and ask for Benny!
Benny was fantastic. Wonderful stories, and recommendations. Had a great time!
Ricardo T was an excellent guide - very informative, personable, funny and engaging. I’d highly recommend this trio and hope you get Ricardo!
We had a great experience with Inside Lisbon. Our tour guide Benny was absolutely awesome! He had a full itinerary planned for us and so organized. He gave a lot of information about Portugal‘s History and it helped us during our visit to the Pena Palace. I would highly recommend them! Thank you for a fantastic day 👍🏽
The trip starts out at the Hard Rock Cafe in the Ave of Liberty, a high end shopping district. We drive up to Sintra, spend time at the castle which is beautiful. The town of Sintra is very quaint with lots of food and trinkets. We then drive along the coast to Cabo de Roca, the westernmost point of Europe,. We then drive to Cascais, a resort town with delicious seafood. Ricardo was our tour guide and he is just so knowledgeable about Portuguese history, local restaurants, etc. tour was well worth the money.
Benny was our tour guide. Excellent! Very professional and informative. He was extremely polite. Very careful driver. I would book another tour next visit if I could be assured Benny was our guide.
Our guide, Alberto, was the best guide I’ve had on many visits to Europe. He was knowledgeable, friendly and went out of his way to make sure everyone enjoyed the experience.
The tour was fantastic and very well run - Benny was an excellent guide.
My husband and I took the Sintra day trip tour with Benny as our guide. We 100% lucked out with both the weather and having Benny as our guide. He was so engaging, informative, and willing to answer all of our questions. We tried out each of his recommendations at each spot and all were fabulous. This was our 2nd tour with Inside Lisbon (first was food and wine) and both were incredible! The day trip is a must if you want a way to see Sintra and the Pena Castle, especially because it’s near impossible to see on your own!
Our tour guide , Benny, was excellent. He was so well informed. He made the day for our group of 8. One of the best tours we’ve ever been on and it was for the most part due to the abilities of Benny.
Peña Palace was amazing. First group there. Our Tour Guide Benny was the very best! Very knowledgeable and full of interesting facts for the entire tour. Our group of 8 loved it! Best tour in Lisbon with such convenience and ease for us!
This tour was excellent!!! Highly recommend. Our guide Benny was awesome. So knowledgeable and very accommodating.
Guides Alberto and Filipe were wonderful. Lots of good background details etc. Timely scheduling.
A wonderfully curated experience with multiple stops in Sintra and Cascais. Our tour guide Vascos ranks amongst one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had. He was informed, enthusiastic, and very professional. Great descriptions of each site we visited and was an amazing driver as well. 10/10 would do it again.
Excellent. Orlando was a great tour guide and gave excellent suggestions
