We loved the tour. Jorge was great. He shared with us the history in great detail. He even volunteered to take my daughter and son in law, who were on the tour, to the train station so they could catch their ride. Jorge was one of the best guides I have seen, and I traveled all over the world.

Sintra is a tourist town at the foot of the Sintra mountain range, in Portugal, near the capital, Lisbon. For a long time a royal shrine, its wooded grounds are studded with pastel palaces and palaces. The National Palace of Sintra, in Moorish and Manueline style, is distinguished by two striking identical chimneys and elaborate tiles. The 19th century National Palace of Pena, at the top of the hill, is known for its extravagant design and breathtaking views.
Considered the most Romantic Palace in Europe. Address of the Last King of Portugal The Pena National Palace, popularly referred to only as Palácio da Pena or Castelo da Pena, is located in the village of Sintra, parish of São Pedro de Penaferrim, It represents one of the main expressions of nineteenth-century architectural Romanticism in the world, being the first palace of its kind in Europe, erected about 30 years before the Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria. On July 7, 2007 he was elected as one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. Pena Palace was classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995.
Writer J. K. Rowling was inspired here to write the Books (Cinema) Harry Potter The Regaleira Palace is the main building and the most common name of the Quinta da Regaleira palace. It is also called Monteiro dos Millões Palace, denomination associated with the nickname of its first owner was António Augusto who was distinguished by King Dom Carlos I on August 16, 1904 as Baron de Almeida. Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995 António Augusto, by the trait of the Italian architect Luigi Manini, gives the palace of 4 hectares, the palace, surrounded by luxuriant gardens, lakes, caves and enigmatic constructions, places that conceal alchemical meanings, such as those evoked by Freemasonry, Templars and Rosa- cross. Models the space in mixed traces, evoking the Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Manueline architecture
Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of mainland Portugal, as well as continental Europe. Luís Vaz de Camões described it as the place "Where the earth ends and the sea begins" (in Os Lusíadas, Canto III). A stone pattern with a tombstone mark this geographical feature to all who visit this place. Its flora is diverse and, in many cases, has unique species, being the object of several studies that also extend to geomorphology, among others. In the zone there is a lighthouse (Lighthouse of Cabo da Roca)
Cascais is a seaside resort in Portugal, just west of Lisbon. It is known for its sandy beaches and the bustling marina. The historic center houses the medieval Fortress of Our Lady of Light and the Citadel Palace, a former royal retreat. Nearby is the whitewashed church of Our Lady of the Assumption, with glazed tiles. By many considered the Monaco of Portugal

Eusebio, Maria, Jorge and the whole Team of Eagle Travel Tour are the best in Portugal, we usually collaborate with them when we have groups of Guests travelling to Portugal and they arrange the BEST Experiences, our Guests and the Team of Garmany Golf appreciate them so much! We have used Eagle Travel Tours for a few of our day trips from Lisbon and beyond. Eusebio and Jorge have been our main guides and always show up early, with a smile and eager to assist to make it the best day in their country. They pull out all the stops, know every road to avoid the usual traffic and will share historical facts along the way, without becoming 'too informative'. Changes? Of course! They step into action and solve any potential obstacle that Mother Nature or the traffic gods place in our path. If you ever find yourself in Lisbon, Porto or the Algarve - or anywhere in between - call Eagle Travel Tours!
We had an amazing experience with Filipe as our guide for Sintra and Cascais! She was incredibly informative, patient, and made sure every detail of our day was taken care of—even with a bit of unexpected weather. She showed us around Sintra and Cascais with such knowledge and enthusiasm, and even recommended a fantastic restaurant where the food was absolutely delicious. One of the highlights was visiting Quinta da Regaleira and then heading to Pena Palace later in the day. Filipe assured us that arriving around 5 PM wouldn’t be a problem, and she was 100% correct—we were able to enjoy both without feeling rushed. She also made sure we had water and felt comfortable guiding ourselves when needed. Even though it was a very long day for her, she never made us feel rushed. On the way back, she stopped at a beautiful view of the ocean. I made sure I had time to take lots of photos. Then she kindly stopped at a store so we could pick up medication for my husband, who had a cough. Her knowledge, patience, and genuine care made this day truly special. If you’re visiting Sintra and Cascais, we can’t recommend Filipe enough!
Our tour guide, Jorge, created a perfect day for us. He was punctual and kind, never giving us the impression that we needed to hurry. He shared Portugal’s proud history with us while driving us around Sintra, Cabo de Roca and Cascais. He was wonderful, informative, and patient ( waiting for us as we explored on our own) and delivering us back to our hotel after a day we will never forget.
Amazing trip and George was incredibly knowledgable tour guide! Highly reccomended for anyone looking to explore Lisbon.
The tour with Lima was amazing! He was such a knowledgeable guide and took us to all the important sites. The Pena Palace was great. We had a wonderful lunch with wine recommended by Lima. We are golfing in Cascais and Lima knew all about the courses. He would be fabulous arranging a golf vacation. We would highly recommend! Michelle and Mike
Outstanding tour and guide! Visited the palace in Sintra, Cascais, and other stops along the way. Learned some history too. A great day trip.
Our guide was an affable driver, but did not accompany us on any excursion. He’d not planned anything in advance. We had not purchased tickets to the popular castles in advance, nor had he, so we could not see them. Cascais was a similar experience.
Our family took two tours with EAGLE Travel Tours - a full day in Sintra/Cascais and a full day in Lisbon. Communication with the tour operator was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed both days! Our guide, Jorge, was extremely knowledgeable and a wonderful companion during our time in Portugal. We were a bit of a high maintenance family group and George was incredibly understanding and flexible with us. We will work with EAGLE again when we come back!
We really enjoyed our time with Lima. He was very informative and friendly. The highlight of the trip was CaisCais. Really cute beach town.
We took four different tours with three different guides. We had a great time on all the tours and with all the guides, we learned a lot about Portugal and had fun along the way.
Our tour was excellent. Lima picked us up at our hotel then took us to Sintra and Cascais. He did an excellent job sharing information along the way about historical sites, bridges, castles and other interesting information. He truly catered to us and made the experience work to what we were interested. When we made our stops he gave us plenty of time to see the sights, shop, or taste the fabulous pastries including Pastel de Nata. Our tour lasted almost 10 hours and we were able to see and experience everything on our list. Would tour with him again if we come back to Portugal!
Luis was an amazing guide. He had vast knowledge on many subjects. He was willing to adjust the plan to meet our interests, including a stop at a local golf course. We would highly recommend him and his services.
Very enjoyable trip with Eusebio. Yes, he's named after the former Portuguese football star. Very interesting fellow. You'll never be bored. Runs an organized tour too. You won't miss a thing. He'll talk history, modern life, and anything you want to talk about. And he'll help you out in a pinch, like when our next day's tour with a different company was looking like it was going to be cancelled last minute. He was so accommodating to try to step in with very short notice the next day. He'll go the extra mile, going past the tour allotted time, and fighting the Lisbon evening rush hour traffic to drop us near a restaurant area we wanted to go after our tour. You need to book a tour with him and his company as soon as you can. It will be one of your best experiences ever. As for Sintra Pena Palace, if you don't need to go inside the palace interior to see the rooms, etc, and just want to tour the palace exterior, don't follow the long line like everyone else. When you get almost up to the interior entrance, try to leave the line and go directly to the palace exteriors. Even though it doesn't seem like there is an opening to the barriers to the palace exterior, just hop over the low barriers into the palace exterior directly or ask a security guard to let you into the exterior area. You won't regret you did as that would save you hours of waiting to get into the interior that you might have very little interest in seeing.
My mother and I had a wonderful excursion with Jorge. He was very knowledgeable and gave us an excellent historical perspective for the places we visited. We especially enjoyed the ruins of the Temple of Augustus (note the use of the correct name, nod to Jorge). I would book another tour with Eagle Tours, and specifically with Jorge, in a minute. Highly recommended!
We had a really nice time in this tour. We learned a lot of new things about Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais and Portugal in general. I totally recommend it.
We enjoyed our time with Eusevio for one and a half days in Lisbon, Sinatra and Cascais! Eusevio is most gracious, flexible and wants you to have an enjoyable time doing whatever you want to do. We’d love to tour with him again on a future trip to Portugal!
I traveled with Eusebio from Eagle tours for a solo trip up to Sintra. Eusebio was great at allowing me to reschedule the tour when my inbound flight was delayed for over three hours and allowed me to move the tour to a different day so that I could get the full day sintra experience. He provided a lot of useful information and dropped me off right at the front steps of the sites. He also provided great recommendations for food to eat. If I am in Portugal again I will tour with Eagle tours.
Wife and I were staying at a hotel located in Caparica, Portugal ( 30 minutes from Lisbon after crossing the 25th April bridge ). On recommendation from our Hotel we were able to get in touch Eagle Travel Tours, within a few minutes Mr.Eusebio Lima called and we arranged for a day trip to Sintra and Cascais. Our guide Eusebio picked us up from our Hotel promptly at 9 am, we were so happy that he spoke English and had a friendly personality. During the drive to the sites, Eusebio would explain in detail the history of the towns and sites that we would be visiting, he would point out historic Buildings, Churches, Castles and Monuments. He would stop or slow down the vehicle so that we could take pictures, he would give us advice regarding where to purchase gifts and restaurants to eat at. We visited all the sites Eusebio had planned for the day and were preparing to return to our Hotel ( 45 minutes away with no traffic ) when my wife asked about a famous Portuguese pastries ( I think the name of the pastry was "Pastel de Belèm", Eusebio immediately changed our route and headed to Lisbon city where we parked the vehicle and walked to a Bakery/Cafe, there was a long line at the entrance, Eusebio found a way in and we sat down in a few minutes, we had coffee and custard pie ( well I had Beer ). Then we started to drive back to our Hotel crossing a beautiful bridge named the 25th April ( similar to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco). As we were crossing the bridge Eusebio pointed out a Statue named Cristo Rei (Christ the King) a Catholic monument located in the city of Almada. Once again the route was changed and we headed to the monument where we took pictures of the statue and scenery. As we arrived at the hotel we asked Eusebio where we could dine that night and he recommended a restaurant named "Ponto Final" a 15 minute drive from our hotel and another 15 minutes of walking. We said our goodbyes and the tour was officially complete. That night we took a Taxi and walked 15 minutes to the "Ponto Final" restaurant, there was an hour and half wait to be seated outside, we waited 30 minutes and were seated inside. We ordered seafood and it was delicious, the service was excellent, I would rate this restaurant first class, reservations are recommended. I have to say the view from the restaurant was awesome, we could see Lisbon city, the bridge and river, only issue we encountered was the walk back to the taxi station, the path was dark and had to use my iPhone to light the walkway, no big deal since there were 2 dozen people who were also walking to get a taxi. Overall it was a fun day and very relaxing, Eusebio was very accommodating and friendly, a family man with a great attitude. We would highly recommend him to all who visit Lisbon.
We hired Eusebio for 2 days during our stay in Lishon. He picked us up in a very comfortable van. We have children ages 6 and 9. If I had chosen to do a group tour, I do think the price would be almost the same. Our first date with him, we did the two monuments I had planned for in Sintra, and then he suggested adding the Quinta de Regaleira which was not on my list to visit. We were so happy to see this, it is truly not to be missed and it meant quite a longer day than we originally planned but he never said a word. The next day also was a custom trip for us, to Belém and then to Cascais he found us a pretty beach, when we told him the kids were not interested in any more monuments for the day. He supplied water, and pointed out places where we could eat. Over all, a very pleasant driver for our trip. Very flexible and accommodating, I would recommend highly for families with young children.
Had a great week with Lima. He took care of all of us in the family from the elderly needs to the teens and keeping them engaged. He helped us with dinner reservations even after we were done touring with him for the day. Lima took us to many tours for the 5 days but loved the dolphins, waking city tour of Lisbon and Fátima tour. Excellent. Wish we get someone like Lima to be our tour guide as we travel and discover the world.
Jorge was an excellent guide and driver. Passed valuable information on the history of Portugal. It was worth it!
No one can be more charming than Mr. Eusebio. Gentle, delicate, spirituous, cult and fun, these are some of the qualities I can quote in this brief compliment.
