Anyone heading to Sintra should really try to book Miguel Pires through I Go Portugal. He kept the whole day relaxed and entertaining without ever skimping on substance. His love for Portuguese history and culture comes through immediately, and the sheer number of curiosities he shared gave every site a new dimension. The tour was carefully organized and tailored to us, and it was worth every minute. I loved it!

Our family (three kids plus us!) had a wonderful time with Carlos as our tour guide. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was comfortable and easy for us—he even brought car seats for the kids, which we really appreciated. Carlos was incredibly patient with our children, and they absolutely adored him. He kept them engaged, made us laugh, and created such a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the day. At the same time, he was very informative and made sure we visited all the places on our itinerary. Carlos is kind, funny, and thoughtful, and he truly made the experience special for our whole family. We highly recommend him to any families looking for a great guide!

Carlos Silva, our private tour guide was superb!!! He is so knowledgeable and friendly. He picked us up at our rental apartment (Almaria-Ex Libris Apartments) in Lisbon and with his guidance, we decided together our itinerary for day. We started with a guided tour of the National Palace and Gardens of Queluz, which was absolutely wonderful. Then we went to the Pena Palace (exterior only), followed by a wonderful Portuguese lunch (on our own) at Mar Guincho restaurant on the oceanfront in Cascais. He was so kind and took us to a supermarket (Pingo Doce) to do some grocery shopping for our apartment. He was our translator (instead of my phone), which was great for us. We are glad that the front desk personnel at our rental apartment referred Carlos to us. We are world travelers, but we would have not been able to navigate Sintra and Cascais on our own. You won't be disappointed if you get the opportunity to hire Carlos!!!

We booked a private tour and couldn’t have been happier. Our guide Carlos went over all the places we could go and things to do in order to tailor a unique experience. He was really knowledgeable and down to earth. It was a wonderful experience and made us love the country even more. We were so sad to leave.

Our guide Sonia was wonderful. She was the sweetest and most accommodating person. We saw all of the hot spots in Lisbon and Sintra. She took us to a small local seafood restaurant-the food was outstanding! Just a wonderful and pleasant day!

We booked this tour when our cruise stopped in Lisbon. it was AMAZING and totally worth it! Miguel was the perfect tour guide. He planned the day around what we wanted to do and had some great suggestions for us. He even set us up with an incredible lunch overlooking the ocean. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and fun. He picked us up at the port and we rode in comfort. We would definitely do this again it was that good.

Gonzalo’s knows these two communities outside of Lisbon like the back of his hand. Although it was a bustling day with lots of tourists he knew how to get us around. His historical knowledge was informative and not too overwhelming. He made a great lunch recommendation on the beach outside of cacais. A delightful day.

Her driving skills Amazing She tooks us to a out of this world restaurant on Valentines day with no reservations and we got in THANKS its was just a joy to see everything and not worry about tje driving. This is a great way to get an overview of Lisbon and Sintra. We visited important sites, had gorgeous views, ate some local food, and learned a lot about Portugal. Our guide was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We researched a number of tours, and this tour is unique in what it covers and where it goes. We loved it!

We enjoyed 2 excellent days of touring with Pedro M and Helder. On our first day we enjoyed beautiful sites in Lisbon. Pedro M is an amazing tour guide, a wealth of information, so passionate about Portuguese history, it is contagious. The tour was VERY interesting, fun and informative. On our second day with Pedro M, we visited Sintra (Pena Palace and Monserrate), Cabo de Roca and Cascais and enjoyed a beautiful seaside drive back to Lisbon. Pedro M was very friendly. From booking to drop-off, our experience with I Go Portugal was excellent. I have already recommended them (and Pedro M) to friends. Obrigada for a great experience!

Pedro M. picked us up at the hotel and was kind enough to wait as we were delayed at the front desk. He is very polite, knowledgeable, and a smooth driver. He provided us with water and snacks, which was a big plus in sunny Portugal. I highly recommend him to anyone looking to have a private tour to Sintra and Cascais, which is definitely worth it!

We expected a simple trip to Sintra. Instead we got the royal treatment. An escorted tour of Pena Palace, personal guidance and little known insights. We then toured the gardens with accompanying stories and information. A drive to downtown Sintra, a cruise along the cost to many beach and summer resorts. So much to see and do. Pedro made the tour full and exciting, we were never rushed. We got a guided tour of the coast from Sintra to Lisbon. I can’t say enough good things. We were totally amazed at Pedro’s debt of knowledge. His friendly banter and personality made it seem as if we were friends for ever.

Excellence in the reception of tourists, safety in transportation, competence of guides, punctuality, optimal cost-benefit, competence and responsibility of the company. Everything a tourist needs in Portugal.

It was the best choice we could make on our trip to Lisbon! In one day we saw the most important sights in Lisbon and also visited Sintra and the Palace there!!! Miguel was excellent both as a guide and as a person!! It made us feel like a friend came and took us from the hotel with his car and showed us with much love what was worth seeing!!!
