Chapel of the Apparitions Built in response to Our Lady's request “I want you to make here a chapel”. Our Lady appeared full of light and spoke here to the Little Shepherds in May, June, July, September and October 1917.
Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima The three Little Shepherds were on May 13 1917 in this place playing at the top of the of Cova de Iria's hillside making a "small wall" and "suddenly saw what seemed to be a flash of lightning". Years later the Basilica was built (between 1928 and 1953). See the tombs of the three Little Shepherds inside the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary. You will have the chance to get close to them.
Basilica of the Holy Trinity In 1973, the intention arose to build a new church in the Sanctuary of Fatima. The first stone was laid in 2004. It was inaugurated on October 12, 2007, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Apparitions. The whole church is white in color, covered with stone from the region: Branco do Mar (White from the Sea). The Basilica has a total of 8,633 seats, including 76 for people with limited mobility. Its construction was paid completely with donations from visitors.
The Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, popularly known as Monastery of Batalha, was built by King D. João I, in fulfillment of a promise made on August 14, 1385 to Our Lady, should he win the Castilian army. The Battle against the Spaniards took place in Aljubarrota, south of Batalha and was won by the Portuguese king who hurried to fulfill his promise. The Monastery of Batalha has been is a symbol of Portugal's independence and is a testament of to the beginning of the second royal dynasty in Portugal, the Avis Dynasty. Classified in 1983 as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the Monastery of Batalha results in one of the most imposing Gothic monuments in the entire Iberian Peninsula.
Enjoy the fantastic panoramic view over the beach of Nazare from 'Sitio,' the highest point of the village. Nazare is a traditional fisherman's village, a summer destination and a big waves surfers paradise.
At the top sits the Ermida da Memoria chapel, famous for the legend of the miracle that Our Lady made to prevent the horse of the nobleman, D. Fuas Roupinho, leaping over the precipice. True or not, at the Suberco Viewpoint you still can see the mark left on the rock by one of the horse's hooves on that foggy morning in 1182. At the site, you can also visit the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Nazare.
Huge waves of Praia do Norte A 30 meters wave in Nazaré. How can we explain it? 1. The refraction of the wave due to the difference in depths between the Continental Shelf and the Canyon; 2. Overtopping a topographic barrier (steep vertical variation); 3. Positive interference between the wave travelling from the Canyon and the wave propagating across the northern continental shelf; 4. Littoral Drift. The combined effect of these processes significantly increases the wave height, which can reach values much higher than those observed offshore. The waves break when their height is approximately equal to the local water depth.
You will complete the tour in Óbidos. This fortified village is one of the ex-libris of Portuguese heritage and will be a surprise to you, since it is a medieval village surrounded by the walls of its castle, serving as a living, inhabited testimony that has remained almost unchanged since the end of the XVII century. Walking through the streets of Óbidos is to make an appointment with the past, through its sidewalks and Gothic houses from the 16th and 17th century.
It was a great day and it is time to return to your hotel in Lisbon. We hope to see you again soon on another visit in Portugal. You will be able to choose a Drop-off location different from the Pick up one, provided it is in Lisbon. See you soon!

We enjoyed the tour. Comfortable vehicle and Pedro was a good guide. We had a lot of flexibility and can request to spend more time at certain stops. We loved our time at Fatima and wished we could have more time in Obidos. Batalha and Nazare were average for us.
We spent the day with Mr. Pedro. He was very informative and very helpful. He accommodated well to our specific family needs. He helped us have one of our best touring experiences ever. We highly recommend him without any reservations! If he is your guide in the future, you can expect to have an awesome experience. Thank you Mr. Pedro!!!
The places we visited were wonderful; what a treat! Our driver made it very clear we were on a time constraint: the more time we spend at one location means less time we spend at another location. It was not a relax - enjoy yourself- experience. The driver spoke very quietly- soft spoken - and when we were in his car, we couldn’t hear the info he was providing. He could speak louder; he did when he was on his cell phone, but we couldn’t hear him. Out of the car, he was a nice guy and the info he provided was informative.
Our Guide Pedro was fantastic. He was very nice and face special attention to my father who has some mobility conditions. He also gave full and detailed information about the sites we visited. Preventive measures regarding Covid-19 were strickly attended. I will definetely recommend. Thanks!!!
Pedro was both knowledgeable and so helpful. We had a wheelchair with us and Pedro helped us with the chair at all the stops. His knowledge of Fantima was so detailed and he gave fun stories along the way. If you have a chance to do this tour with Pedro you must it was the best day of our trip!
Our tour guide was Pedro Farinha he was not only knowledgeable but made you feel like you were family he was showing around. In all the years we have been traveling he was the best. If you are in Lisbon and looking for this tour, I would highly recommend him. could go on but simply put outstanding.

The best way is to go in a private car I loved our guide Pedro he was perfect and we had a full day
I will come back to Lisbon

Our driver/guide Pedro is so nice. He is very accomodating, helpful, patient and polite. He was knowledgeable about the different tourist areas, and knew the best locations to take pictures. We enjoyed the trip despite the rain. We are satisfied with the trip.

Pedro from Estrela d'Alva Tours was our Tour guide. Pedro was amazingly more like a family friend taking us on a tour. He is very accommodating, patiently entertains questions and is eminently gracious. His local knowledge was really helpful and ensured no queuing, suggesting tasty food and famous local sweet specialties which is a must in Portugal. Being a photograph freak myself, Pedro would stop his vehicle for me to get out and take some memorable spectacular shots. Everything from the get go to the end the tour was great. Fátima, Batalha, Nazare and Óbidos is spectacular and a must. Óbidos was mesmerizing and Pedro introduced us to Ginja.

My experience with the Star d'Alva Tours was wonderful. The company of its professionals, Filomena and Pedro, is very pleasant and fun, in addition the two share a lot of historical knowledge of the places visited. During the whole tour I felt safe and respected, so I was able to enjoy all the sights with peace! It was a very special day!
Very happy to perform “The Portugal of Dreams”💕Know the City of Fatima The Sanctuary with its historical and cultural events The procession of the velves... were emotions Unique!!! We made a visit to the Sanctuary of Fatima which was one of the most exciting and inspiring experiences of my life. We were led by Filomena Farinha in a comfortable and very safe van. We were picked up at the hotel at a specified time, and we followed the manha during a beautiful and pleasant trip we went talking about the roads and what we would see there. When we arrived during the whole time we knew important details of the Sanctuary. We visited the church and had all the emotions that this place can offer. Without a doubt I recommend this tour and want to record our thanks to Estrela dÁlva Tours for this beautiful opportunity and excellent work
What a wonderful, charming and magnifying walk. Me and my husband were extremely well received by the Star Dalva agency and the guide Filó. We will be back soon to repeat this wonderful tour.
A unique experience, Filó and Pedro are not only tour guides but become our friends. They have a lot of care with us and knowledge and most importantly a lot of love for what they do. I loved it. I keep sweet memories of this tour.
The most beautiful experience I have ever had was with Philomena and Peter in Fatima. When the pandemic passes I will travel again with them.I trust and recommend!
I've done this and other tours with Star D'alva. Fatima and Obidos are magical, a wonderful energy! Nazareth is breathtaking, Filomena and Pedro are 5 star people... attentive, kind and very experienced! The trip flows calmly and they are very committed to organizing the best way the day of the tour. Taking a private tour is the best way to walk without worrying about routes, parking or routes... They deliver everything ready and we just take advantage! Gave time to see the main attractions, lunch, coffee and buy some souvenirs... The pair adjusts to the needs of the customers and the day goes very well...only the memories and photos remain. I recommend closed eyes, or rather, open eyes so you can see all the beauties of Portugal. I also recommend the other tours I did: Sintra, Cascais, Setubal, Sesimbra, Arrábida, Espichel, Évora, Palmela, Monsaraz, Azeitão, Costa da Caparica and the tour of urban art through Lisbon! PERFECT FOR BRAZILIANS AND PORTUGUESE! WORTH EVERY MINUTE!
Super polite and friendly couple! Very familiar with the history of the locations! Excellent experience! I recommend!
I was very surprised and at the same time it is as simple as any religious architecture! beautiful and surprising.
