Our driver Catherine was amazing! So knowledgeable, informed and invested in us having a perfect day. When we through her a loop with oddball questions she either knew the answer or researched them. The car was beautiful and comfortable, safe driving the whole way. My only complaint is a lack of communication leading up to the day. I wasn’t sure when or where to meet the driver when we got off of the ship and I had to ask that a few times. Besides that, perfect day!

Being a Sunday, it was very busy, but Caterina made sure we were able to have enough time to see everything we wanted to. We had an absolutely wonderful day trip to Fatima, Nazare, and Obidos with iGo Portugal! Our super-friendly tour guide, Sonia, made the trip a pleasure - her knowledge and passion for the locations was always on display. We were a group of 6 with children ages 9 and 7, and their two grandmothers. Sonia was kind and welcoming and arranged a great day filled with visits to diverse sites that appealed to all of our group. Her plan allowed flexibility for us to spend our preferred amount time at each stop, which was appreciated as you could easily spend a 1/2 day or more at each place. The van was spotless and comfortable for our group of 6. Further, she went above and beyond to ensure a table was waiting for us with an ocean view on a busy and beautiful day in Nazare! Miguel, our guide was spectacular. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about our tour and the places that we visited. We started with a trip to Fatima, where we visited the shrine and on the way Miguel told us stories about the history of Fatima as well as what we would be seeing once there he took us on a tour of the shrine, as well as the other venues there in Fatima, including the burning of candles and a side exhibit showing a piece of the Berlin wall. our next stop was Batalha Monastery which was also very nice to see and had several alters set up for different manufacturers of the church. From there, we went to lunch and a wonderful restaurant near the beach in Nazare and had seafood rice, which was absolutely wonderful. After lunch, we went up to the top of the cliff and overlooked the area where they had the world‘s largest surfing wave at 100 feet. our last stop was Obidos which was an old village with a castle built around it, and we walked through the village. Overall, the trip was absolutely wonderful and perfect for us. We cannot commend Miguel enough as he was absolutely wonderful and was very very personable. We would recommend Miguel to anyone that would like to have an enjoyable and very knowledgeable guide for a tour. Miguel gets five stars plus from us and we will look forward to having him again on a future tour.

Our tour guide Pedro M. was fabulous. Very professional, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We thought he was a professor in college the way he was telling the stories. Great driver as well. He walked with us everywhere and was talking non stop. Basically personal tour guide from 9 to 7pm with 4 sites. We stopped for lunch in great seaside restaurant in Nazaré. Overall I would use this company and Pedro over and over.

This was an outstanding full day tour that started in Fatima, next to Nazare and last to Obidos. Our guide Pedro M was one of the best parts of this tour. He was full of historical information about Portugal and the cities and sites we visited. He was a great orator and we had great conversations with him on the tour. He told us some of the history of Fatima and let us roam the grounds for as long as we wished. One of the best stops was actually lunch. He took us to a small family run fish and seafood restaurant in Nazare that has been owned and operated by the same family for 3 generations. He was such a pleasure to be with, we invited him to have lunch with us. He made suggestions and helped us order and even had the owners let us try some grilled sardines as a little extra treat. Nazaré itself was beautiful and he told us about the legend surrounding an ancient wooden sculpture of the Blessed Virgin feeding Jesus as an infant and took us to the church it is now kept. Lastly was the old walled city of Obidos where is let us walk the main streets and told us which stall to visit for the best Ginjinha. This was an amazing tour with an amazing guide. Pedro M made it a truly memorable day. Highly recommended.

We took this day trip from Lisbon to explore areas of Lisbon that were not easily available to us by public transportation. This is the second time we have booked I Go Portugal for a private tour, the first was two years ago to Evora. Our guide both times was Carlos who made the trip so easy for us, picking us up and dropping us off at the hotel and tailoring the trip to our interests. One of the best things about the journey is that Carlos provided just the right level of commentary, especially at Fatima. This is such a spiritual place that having private time to attend a mass, light candles, and pray was such a blessing. Carlos also took us to an amazing seafood restaurant in Nazare owned by the same family for decades, followed by a visit to the chapel and walk down to sea. We finally ended up in Obidos where again, we had private time to shop, walk the walls, and soak up this lovely walled city. It is a long day, but one that we truly enjoyed.

We were three, an expert in related fields, and two intelligent beginners. Pedro was terrifically interesting and informative, very patient and with perfect English as well. We went particularly to Batalha. You can’t go wrong with this guide, I should think for any sites around Lisboa!

This was an amazing tour of several central locations in Portugal. Pedro M. was an amazing tour guide. His knowledge of history and architecture was comprehensive. It's a long tour but Pedro M. will design it around the main areas you'd like to see. Fatima was beautiful and inspirational. Batalha and it's amazing cathedral was worth seeing but we probably spent too much time there. I'd recommend going through it quickly so you have more time for Nazare and Obidos. Pedro M. took us to a wonderful and authentic lunch in the beautiful coastal town of Nazare. Wished we'd had more time to shop and walk through Obidos which was a beautiful and fascinating little town. This is an ambitious tour to do in a day but if you have a great guide and driver like Pedro M. time flies and you'll have some good memories to bring home.

We met Soninha last year where we toured with her, to Sintra, Cascais and Queluz. She was brilliant with my Mum who has mobility issues, where in the palace of Queluz, she wheeled my Mum around in the wheelchair. She was very patient with her while we walked around as well. She was very knowledgeable and there wasn’t a question that she was asked that she could not answer. She is also very popular person as she it shows how much of a people person she is as wherever we went, people seemed to know her. She has contacts which is an addition to her knowledge. It is for those reasons why we returned to Lisbon again this year. We returned this year where we toured Fatima, Nazare and Obidos. Again, I was very impressed with Soninha’s knowledge on Fatima. She inspired my interest in how Fatima was found by the 3 children, her historic knowledge provided me with a greater understanding of everything to do with Fatima and with that my Mum and I thoroughly enjoyed that part of the day. Again, our tour of Nazare was lovely, and we were again impressed with Soninha's knowledge of the area and how historically the ladies wore 7 skirts. It was all very interesting and provided a greater understanding of the area. Obidos was just the same, we were again provided with fantastic knowledge of the area it was faultless. All in all, a lovely day, great food, lovely weather and great company, we could not have asked for anything more. Our last day in Lisbon was spent in the Algarve, in Lagos with Carlos. This was another perfect day. Again, Carlos was brilliant with my Mum, very patient with her mobility and helped her at all times. Like Soninha, Carlos is very knowledgeable and there was not a question that he couldn’t answer. On the journey there he pointed out a few things to me that I was not aware of such as the cork trees which I had not seen before. We would definitely return again to Lisbon and book tours with this great team of people whose wealth of knowledge is second to none. They are kind, friendly and passionate about what they do and about their country. Thank you Soninha, Pietro and the rest of the team.

Ms Ana was a wealth of knowledge on all places we visited. Answered our questions with enthusiasm and learned so much. Gave us plenty of time to explore on our own and recommended a wonderful local place to eat in Nazare. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide! Sonia is an excellent tour guide, sharing historical as well as architectural and religious facts about our four stops - Fátima, Batalha Monastery, Nazaré, and Óbidos. She chauffeured our group of four safely and in style and arranged for a fabulous lunch at NorthSpot in Nazare overlooking the ocean. The views as well as the food were spectacular! We actually spent 6 days with iGoPortugal. They took us on a tour of Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, Fatima, Tomar, Nazare, Coimbra, Porto, Guimaraes and Douro Valley. They provided the transfer from Lisbon to Porto and we stopped in Nazare and Coimbra along the way. This was the best possible way to travel. There was no stress over figuring out the transportation, tickets and where to go. We were picked up at the front of our hotel and everything was arranged for us. In addition, the guides that we had (shout out to you Pedro 2.0 and Miguel) were fantastic! They were very knowledgeable about everything Portugal and were very proud of their heritage. Touring with them is like touring with native Portuguese friends (if I had any) who were experts and were more patient. They have ruined future private tours for me because they were so good (unless I go on iGoPortugal again), I don't think I can find a better tour company. They also knew a lot of trivia about the places we visited, where to eat, etc. Both Pedro and Miguel were very kind, professional and excellent drivers. The cars they used were also very clean and top notch. I can honestly say that we saw more and learned more about Portugal in 6 days than we would have in several months if we just went on our own. I highly recommend this tour company. Pedro 1.0 (the boss) was also very responsive to me during the time I was planning the trip and trying to decide if I was just going to wing it with public trains and buses or go with a private tour guide. We had a lovely day in Fatima. Our tour guide, Carlos, was very insistent that the tour could be whatever we wanted it to be. As we were on a cruise ship (with a tight deadline for departure) we wanted to maximize our time in Fatima. While we could have rushed to see some of the other stops, I’m glad that we chose to take our time and explore Fatima. We stayed for a Catholic mass, which was very important to us for this visit. Carlos was very considerate of my knee injury, and was very patient with me and my mobility issues. After Fátima, instead of rushing to another destination, we chose to go back to Lisbon for a local lunch and enjoyed the Portuguese cuisine. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to experience a unique private tour at your own pace!

We booked a private day tour with Pedro M while staying in Lisbon. We had been wanting to see Nazare after watching the documentary, 100 Foot Wave. Pedro was prompt on arrival and asked us about what was important for us to see to make sure he allowed enough time at each stop. Our first stop was Fatima which was beautiful and very serene. On our way, Pedro gave us the “short version” of Portuguese history. He was amazing and so knowledgeable. After Fatima we drove to Nazare. Beautiful city and did not disappoint.
