Enjoy the stunning romantic town of Sintra. Located in the middle of the Sintra Mountain Forest, this town is world-famous for it's palaces, history and pastries. Here you will have one hour of free time to try a famous local pastry: Travesseiro (Pillow) de Sintra and transport yourself to the 19th Century of Portuguese history.
Here we visit breathtaking Cape of Roca, the westernmost point of Continental Europe. Stand by the lighthouse and enjoy the view at the sharp cliffs by the Atlantic Ocean,
We will drive through the western most point in continental Europe: Cabo Da Roca. This drive will provide some of the most stunning views of Portugal, right next to Praia Da Ursa.
At the historical center of Cascais, you will have 90 minutes of free time to explore the fanciest town in Portugal and have a delightful lunch. Stroll around the fancy avenues leading you to the bay overlooking the marina and the fishing boats. Here you will have the chance to go to the beach, do some local shopping and try the most famous ice cream in the country: Santini's.
On the way back to Lisbon we will drive through Avenida Marginal: a scenic avenue drive where fancy villages meet the Atlantic Ocean. On your left you will have old Portuguese castles and beautiful gardens and on your right the sun will be setting in the ocean.
Francisco was a wonderful guide full of so much historical knowledge in a very friendly manner. His English was excellent . The lunch was fantastic! Plus some time for exploring on our own in Sintra and Cascais. Would highly recommend.

We took a guided tour of Sintra and Pena Palace which was an absolutely fantastic experience. Francisco is a super knowledgeable guide, able to explain every detail of everything we saw. He's enthusiastic and transports you back in time with his descriptions and stories. We loved lunch at Toca do Júlio. Francisco was such a good sport the whole way through: very thoughtful making sure we we're enjoying ourselves at all times, very punctual from the get go, gave us all the facts while maintaining the experience entertaining throughout the ride. What a ride! From the sightseeing to the driver up to the lunch! Every step of the way, every place was just amazing, perfectly timed and very organized. Between stops, our eyes coildn’t leave the window so that nothing get’s missed. We went to Palácio da Pena in the morning and Francisco’s knowledge and passion about History was as impressive as his story-telling and sympathy - a real journey. We had the best lunch of my whole trip in Portugal suggested also by Francisco, and in the afternoon we explored the most mesmerising places you could think of in Cascais. Overall, this day was for sure the highlight of my trip to Portugal and would do it all over again without thinking twice. Thank you again, Francisco. Then, we strolled through the charming old town of Sintra, where he gave us great recommendations and explained the cultural background of the area. From there, we went to the breathtaking Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Europe, and finally ended our trip in beautiful Cascais, enjoying the seaside views. Francisco was attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. We could really feel his passion for what he does. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Sintra and the surrounding area!
We made the tour of Sintra and Cascais and was an excellent experience from start to finish.
