Joanna did a great overview of the city. It was a good introduction to our local neighborhood we were staying in.

Excellent introduction to Lisbon. We so enjoyed spending our afternoon with Alexandra. She gave us so many suggestions for our stay. The perfect tour for our first day in the city.
My family had a tour with Luis yesterday. He was great! Very informative, passionate about history of Portugal and funny. Book a tour with Luis, you won't regret it!
Very friendly guide knew lisbon very well and took us around and took into account a pram so tried going up lifts when able or paths that where wider very good kickstarter tour
Sofia was absolutely amazing. She was charismatic, very knowledgeable, and became a dear friend by the end of our tour. We learned so many new things about Lisbon and Portugal. I highly recommend it!
Wonderful experience tailored to our taste and things we wanted to see. We learned a lot about the city. Highly recommend this tour.
Our guide Antonio was very knowledgeable about historical Lisbon both structurally and culturally. He gave us many good tips for getting around the area without getting lost. We also want to thank him for waiting on us to start the tour as we were caught in traffic. Highly recommend this experience at the start of a visit to Lisbon.
We went on a kick off tour of Lisbon with an excellent local guide. Angelo is Informative, pleasant, and conversational. The kick start tour is a great way to get a feel for the city, its history and development - and its quirks.
Lucia was a wonderful guide. She asked where we had already been and what we were interested in. She told us very interesting stories.
Sonia is a very knowledgeable tour guide who provided lots of helpful tips and insights to help with our visit to Lisbon. Particularly liked her tips on where to eat and loved her general enthusiasm for the city. Did 1.5 hour tour but could easily have done the 3hr one. Lovely experience and well worth it.
Rita was knowledgeable about the downtown showing is the various squares and the historical significance.
Rita was an excellent guide and made us feel welcome in her beautiful city. She shared many interesting facts about the history & culture of Lisbon as we walked thru the streets, and she recommended several delicious places to eat. Muita obrigada, Rita!
Rita was very knowledgable and gave us a great tour through the city! Her English is good and as a local she is a big recommendation
Very Disappointing. We booked a private guide for a 90 minute tour of the key sites and history of Lisbon through Tripadvisor, rather than the free tours. Our guide Amanda, changed the meeting location of the walk an hour or so before the start to Miradoura Sao Pedro de Alcantara. Ok we thought a different route and more to see. We climb to the start, the guide is 10 mins late, but did let us know and was very apologetic. We set off on a winding walk through the streets of Biarra Alto, Chiado and Biaxa, ending up at the waterfront. whilst the guide was chatty, there was no real structure to the stops, little information on the history etc. Some nice info about current shops and restaurants, but we had to ask to get info. She then finished 15mins early and didn’t go toward the castle where we expected to finish. We learnt more going into the Lisbon Story exhibit at the square for 7€ afterwards than on her tour. For €44 each we would have an expected a more informative guide.
Our guide - António - was excellent. Great knowledge of the city and fun stories. Really helpful introduction to Lisbon.
Excellent way to see the city in a short time frame and get oriented. Our guide Lucia answered all our random questions and did so with excellent humor.
Excellent guide. Modified tour to where we’ve been in Lisbon. Very good history and cultural perspective. Accommodated our walking ability and stamina.
This was super disappointing. Our guide was late so we thought we missed the tour. We left to walk around the meeting area and do our own touring. He finally called and said he was running late. When he arrived, it didn’t seem like he had a planned tour itinerary. We weren’t taken to different neighborhoods and didn’t get any understanding of where we were. He took us into a bookstore (the oldest bookstore in the world - very cool) but spent way too much time elaborating on Portuguese authors and poets and proceeded to go into this further when we began walking again. This tour lacked depth in storytelling, history and insight on the city layout. We even ended the tour early because we felt it was a waste of our time. Don’t waste your money!
We loved Lucia!! A bit jet lagged but so glad we took this quick but very informative tour. Lucia gave us a helpful orientation of the city and a little history too! Very kind and fun! Thank you Lucia😊
The two of us really REALLY enjoyed this city tour with Joao. We had done a larger tour earlier and asked to go to some parts of the city we had not been. Easy to do and off we went! The depth of knowledge, engagement was perfect. Couldn’t recommend more. You will not be disappointed.
Great introduction and way to get oriented for our day in Lisbon. Pace was leisurely and Pedro was friendly and very knowledgeable.
An absolutely amazing private tour for such a reasonable price! Did the tour with João, who was so knowledgeable and took great care to make thentour personalized to us, while also giving great recommendations. A definite recommendation from me!
Wow! What can I say about our tour guide Angelo. Everything actually! Angelo is a superb and informative tour guide. We are American tourists traveling through Portugal and needed a cultural education on Lisboa. Having only 3 full days, we knew that getting a good understanding of the city was important. So, we booked a 6-hour custom walking city tour with Angelo. The tour consisted of walking through different neighborhoods, tasing food at local restaurants & cafes, and drinking adult beverages at various local taverns. Everywhere we turned Angelo had a story and anecdote about where we walked, what we viewed, toured and noticed. We covered history, present and future topics about Lisbon. After our tour, he then sent us so many restaurant, bars and must see tour recommendations for our remaining time in Lisbon. If you are looking for an amazing tour of Lisbon, Portugal you cannot do better than hiring Angelo as your private tour guide. He went above and beyond to make our experience a lasting memory. Thank you Angelo!
Very good introduction to Lisbon! Francisco was very kind and knowledgeable! We were all jet lagged and he was very patient with us!
Joao was a terrific guide and my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed his tour. He gave us good historical background on everything we were seeing and tailored our route to accommodate my husband’s sore knee. We enjoyed learning about the different parts of the city as well as the historical sites, and Joao gave us a fantastic recommendation for lunch afterwards. I can’t recommend this tour enough, Five stars!
Great personalized introduction to Lisbon covering the key landmarks, history and off the beaten path neighborhoods. Our guide made the most of our time together.
Fabulous! We met João after booking only a few hours earlier. We were looking for a tour to orient us around Lisbon but also share some history of Lisbon and an overview of the neighborhoods. João was punctual, passionate, knowledgeable and a lot of fun! He shared his love for the area - which is truly infectious. Well paced, not too fast nor too slow. He set us up well for exploring the city and beyond the rest of our trip. I will definitely ask for him by name for future tours. :D Thanks, João! X
Our guide, Antonio, was the best! He knows the city as a guide and a resident. He understands the people and the places.
This tour captured the magic that is Portugal, from local knowledge and shops to Arte Urban to monuments, castles, churches and squares - a breathtaking history! Alphe was full of energy and knowledge and just a delightful host.
Ana was educated and truly shared her passion for the city she loves and was extremely accommodating
Our guide had great experience of living and knowledge of Lisbon, most appreciate. He was very polite and always tried to make our tour exclusive.
Pleasant and knowledgeable tour guide. Willing and able to answer questions. The pace was just right for us. The title of the tour (ie, kickstart) is very appropriate.
We really enjoyed our kickstart tour of Lisbon with our amazing guide João. He was very knowledgeable on the history of Lisbon, pointed out important areas/monuments, and gave us ideas of how to spend our 3 days in the city. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon who doesn't have a ton of time and wants to maximize their experience.
Antonio was AMAZING! He gave us such a rich history lesson while also sharing tips and secrets about the city. He also bought us pasteis de nata and took his time exploring with us. Answered all of our questions, gave us excellent recommendations, and was our photographer! Would 100% recommend. Thank you for making our honeymoon in Portugal so special!!!
Our group only had three nights in Lisbon so we wanted to make the most of our trip and booked the 1.5 hour city kickstart tour with Antonio. Antonio was fabulous - walked us through the city and gave us just the right amount of information without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. He gave us tips on how to navigate the city, where to get the best portuguese foods, and led us to some pretty phenomenal views. He answered all our silly questions and helped us feel confident in exploring the city after his departure. We had four kids ages 8-13 in our group and he kept them engaged, which is hard to do with finicky travelers. We would definitely recommend the kickstart tour for anyone interested in a quick overview of Lisbon!
Joao gave us a great overview of Lisboa in under two hours. Enjoyable time spent with a local who is clearly passionate about his subject matter! And he gave us lots of follow up ideas which we’ll pursue today. Obrigado Joao!
It’s real good! I enjoyed it. nice views and a great way to get an overview of Lisbon. Recommend it!
Antonio provided us with a world class tour of Lisbon. Over 6hrs he gave us fantastic insights in to how and where Lisbon evolved as a city, an understanding of all the major sights and he showed us how to navigate the city for ourselves. His own life experiences and knowledge gives him a huge advantage in making a tour of Lisbon with him the most memorable of experiences. He is everything you want in a tour guide - knowledgeable, fun, thoughtful and very professional
Lucia was our guide and she was outstanding. She was knowledgeable and funny. She gave us numerous insider tips, while striving to meet our needs as first time visitors to Lisbon. This was a terrific experience and we will always be grateful to Lucia.
Excellent! Antonio taught us how to get around Lisbon, where to eat, etc. He tailored the history to our interests, and adjusted the speed to our comfort. Perfect way to begin a three-day, first-time visit.
Pedro was fun, knowledgeable, and very sweet and considerate. Definitely gave us a great introduction/overview of awesome Lisboa.
Nuno was incredibly enthusiastic about the history of Portugal and particularly Lisbon and was always very keen to show us the best of Lisbon in the short time we had with him. Very knowledgeable about the city and also showed us a few points to help us enjoy our 4 day stay in Lisbon. I would certainly recommend the trip, if not a longer tour ( ours was only booked for 1.5 hours), within the first couple of days of arriving as it's a good introduction and then you can explore more knowing where everything is.
David was really awesome he was patient and very knowledgeable. I rate this 10/10. Definitely a good tour to start your trip.
Great tour. Lucy was a fantastic guide. She showed us all the secret spots in Lisbon. We highly recommend her as a Tour Guide.
Gisele was skilled in her knowledge of Lisbon and fun guide on our discovery of Lisbon. She shared history, insights, secrets, and kept us moving all over Lisbon. This was an exceptional tour and Gisele is an exceptional guide.
Walking and Learning! We met with Gisele and she was friendly, knowledgeable, personable, and fun. We learned so much about Lisbon history and we saw so many amazing sights. Loved every minute of it. Highly recommend Gisele and this tour!
Great way to start a visit to Lisbon. Very helpful and knowledgeable guide, and perfect length of time. Highly recommended!
Antonio was very knowledgeable and the tour really made a great start to our stay in Lisbon. Would thoroughly recommend
Fantastic tour to give quick overview of the city. Great for first time visitors to give some bite size information.
My private kickstart tour of Lisbon was enjoyable but the guide changed a number of things and we didn't visit all the sites promised. Instead of meeting at the Praca do Comercio we met in Chiado. The guide said it was a better starting point so we could do a simple west-to-east walk. But even in doing that, we skipped Mirante Belvedere, do Arco da Rua Augusta, Rossio Train Station, Galerias Romanas da Rua da Prata, Lisbon Cathedral, Miradouro de Santa Luzia AND we did not "return" to Praca do Comercio. Instead the guide focused on Camo Convent and we ended up near Saint George Castle. While he did provide useful information for walking around Lisbon, like where certain elevators were, he ignore the vast majority of the schedule. So while I got a private tour of some parts of Lisbon, I didn't get the private tour advertised.
