We rented the luxury sailboat for two hours and got a spectacular two hour tour of the river and harbor down through the bridge to see the monuments and back with our family of six including two kids. It couldnt have been a more perfect day and the crew too excellent care of us plying us with alentejo cheese and vinho verde while the kids got to steer! I wish we had booked the four hour. Thats MY recommendation. Go for four hours with a dip in the river. Next time for sure.

Absolutely brilliant experience! It was really fun, completely worth the price and a highlight of our trip! The guides were super friendly, wine was flowing and the views were stunning! Would definitely recommend!
One of the best things you can do when visiting Lisbon. Francisco and JP made our experience one I couldn’t recommend enough to anyone visiting this beautiful city. They went over and beyond to make my family’s experience one to remember and we all left saying we were so glad we did the tour. Thank you so much for such a wonderful time
The crew was amazing!! We had such an incredible experience! The views of Lisbon were spectacular! Highly recommend it!!!
We recently enjoyed a private boat cruise in Lisbon as a family group of 11, spanning three generations. The experience was a wonderful way for all of us to see the city from the river, offering beautiful views of Lisbon’s iconic landmarks. The weather was ideal, which made the outing even more memorable. Our hosts, Jay Jay and Bruno, were fantastic—friendly, professional, and attentive to everyone’s needs, making sure guests of all ages felt comfortable and welcome. I highly recommend this cruise for families or groups looking for a unique and enjoyable way to explore Lisbon together.
Great Experience on the water with a very friendly and courteous crew. Rita and Jose were very accommodating and very polite and professional. Highly recommended as a great way to relax and enjoy the views
As an encore to our outstanding sunset river cruise earlier in the week (see my review), we booked a private afternoon tour with our family of five 3 days later. We didn’t think it could get any better but Captain Bernardo, accompanied by the gracious Henri, managed to make it a day to remember. Cannot thank them enough for such a memorable outing.
Bernie and JP were both very professional and experienced sailors. My husband Gabriel also sails and they practically let him have the full experience as the skipper . It was worth the money spent . Highly recommended boat/ sail rental activity . At the end of the trip we pretty much became friends. The wine and the treats were also perfect . What a great way to celebrate our anniversary. Muito obrigado João e Bernardo. Até logo, Catarina e Gabriel
We had an amazing 2 hour private sailing tour around Lisbon with Jaoa and Guillaume. Both made us feel very welcome and comfortable giving us loads of information en route about Lisbon. The Vinho Verde wine was delicious and plentiful which added to the fantastic experience. We asked about the Ponto Final restaurant and they were happy to sail us close by so that we could take a look. A perfect way to see Lisbon - great fun and an amazing experience, I would most definitely recommend.
Perfect way to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday with our family. It was easy to plan and the crew took excellent care of us!
We booked a private luxury boat tour for 3 hours. Mariana was VERY helpful via WhatsApp making the arrangements and giving detailed instructions on costs, where and when to meet etc. On the day, Lopo and Bernardo were our crew. They were both absolutely fantastic, and worked so well together. They had a lot of good jokes and rapport with each other and made us all feel comfortable within seconds. They were particularly good with the kids. The boat itself was beautiful. It felt very spacious for 8 people. There was a sunbathing area at the front. A seating/drinking area at the back. And a sitting/lounge within the boat. All were immaculately clean. The crew kept our wine glasses fully topped up for the 3 hours. They would explain the sights when it looked like we wanted to know, but also just hide into the background when we just wanted to drink, sunbathe and enjoy the bliss of the sun and breeze. They were very good with the kids too! Overall - would highly recommend them. Every part of the experience was fantastic and we felt very well taken care of, as you’d hope on a luxury experience like this!
We had a group of 12 which included 7 teens from California. They all said it was their favorite thing to do in Lisbon! We now take all of our visitors out on a sailboat tour when they come to visit! The captain is so knowledgeable and we learn something new every time we go!
My friends and I visited Lisbon from the U.S. and did the 4 hour boat tour as part of a Bachelorette trip. This was an amazing experience that I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone in the area. We got to cruise around and get a new view of the city, swam near a sandy beach and even saw a ton of baby dolphins! The guides were very gracious hosts - they supplied a high quality speaker we could connect to, PLENTY of wine, a wonderful charcuterie spread, and they were excellent photographers. If you are in the area, make sure you check this out!
We had a fantastic time on board. The hospitality was great, the mix between "guided tours" and time to disconnect and relax was great. We felt safe and the boat was in perfect condition
We took a two-hour private tour on a sailing boat with Juan and Jose and it was the highlight of a great weekend in Lisbon. The boat was fantastic and Juan and Jose were incredible hosts with good stories, local insights and a really cool vibe. I'd love to get back out on a boat with those two and sail a litt -- or a lot -- further! Obrigado guys!
Rent a Boat Lisbon is the absolute best way to see and experience all that Lisbon has to offer. Our Skippers were friendly, funny and knowledgeable plus expert captains.
Jose and Juan went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment on our experience. We went in the morning session so it was a bit cold on the river, so they provided blankets and were always checking on us if we needed anything. They provided light snacks and a very good green wine, which was perfect for the 2 hour tour. Jose was a wonderful tour guide - he gave us a lot of information about the area and its history and answered all of our (many) questions about Lisbon and Portugal. The experience was informative and relaxing - we would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Lisbon!
I did the Romantic Sailing tour with my boyfriend yesterday as part of my birthday celebrations. It was completely fantastic. Juan and José were so friendly, accommodating and charming, and had lots of interesting stories and facts to share about Lisbon. It was a bit cloudy/windy, but they had lots of blankets so we were cozy and the weather wasn’t a problem. We got to have delicious Portuguese green wine, some strawberries, crisps. At the end of the tour, they gave us each a Pastel de Nata (traditional Portuguese custard tart) which were homemade and warm from the oven on the boat - it was such a nice touch! The sights from the boat are breathtaking too. We got to see families of dolphins swimming alongside the boat - including baby dolphins! I’d highly recommend the tour to all couples, or one of the other private boat tour options for groups of friends. Thanks again to Juan and José for making the tour so great :)
It was one of my best moments in Lisbon, the crew was adorable with us! We had a private tour of 2 hours served like queens with wine and chips! I recommend you at 10000% thank you again :)
Our trip was perfect. We rented a private sunset sail and had a lovely time, the skipper was very attentive and could tell us a lot of interesting facts about Lisbon. He was constantly trying to make us comfortable and the sail a special and memorable activity. Also, the price for the tour, including wine for everyone was great. I can highly recommend booking a tour with Juan. Thank you for the great evening.
We had a beautiful private sunset tour. The boat was beautiful, and we had a real sailing experience with no engine. The crew were so helpful and friendly, and made it feel very special. The snacks and drinks were delicious too.
We did the private historic boat tour for up to 5 people (including a 3 and a half year old) for my husband's birthday and what a brilliant morning! Juan and Jose sent us an initial message of where to meet the day before and were really welcoming when we arrived. They explained the facilities and procedures and we felt very safe with our toddler. They were very knowledgeable and informative about the local history and provided the perfect balance between explaining various monument while also giving us space to enjoy the trip. They were really attentive, made sure we had enough to eat and drink, were very professional and just all round lovely people. I couldn't recommend this trip enough, my husband loved his present and hope to do another one again!
We absolutely loved our sailing trip! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed it and couldnt have asked for a more amazing experience!
We’ve book a private 3h sunset and dinner cruise in October 2019 and had the most amazing trip ever! Very lovely, easy-going and quick communication in advance. All of our individual wishes were fulfilled such as spontaneous postponing for half an hour, selection of the menu, dietary requirements, music on board, inclusion of specific sightseeing monuments in the tour, and so on and so forth. The administrative staff and the skippers on board were the best. Definite recommendation for anyone who is looking for a special experience, thank you for having us!
We did a sunset/ dinner sailboattour. With a group of 11 friends. The guys from rent-a-boat were great and extremely helpful during the booking and helped us organize a pick up from cova do vapor where we were staying. We got a real nice boat and skipper juan and his colleague Francisca were super nice and we had a spectacular tour with them. We had the bbq as dinner and that was also very good. Perfect experience and nothing to complain about. I would highly recommend it. I would also highly recommen skipper Juan! Thanks a mil , Juan and Felicia!!!
An incredible walk along the Tejo River. The company was super friendly and available to answer any questions. João and his father were our captains and they were treated fantastically. They made us spend an incredible afternoon and an experience like no other.
We had a really great time with Joao and Jorge on the boat. Very special and everything perfectly arranged. I'd recommend everyone book their tour here. It is easily accessible by public transport or rent a scooter and step along the boulevard.
It was perfect!! We did this family excursion and it was magical. Joao and Juan are quite charming. They greeted us with a huge smile and some good bottles of wine. You can feel that they are passionate about boats and Lisbon... we learned a lot about the city. A must do in Lisbon.
My friends and I had a great time on this beautiful sailboat! 2 hours walk on the Tagus with explanations about the city of Lisbon and its monuments. We saw dolphins playing around the boat. It was a magical moment Free drinks (wine) and chips that made the moment even better! Thanks to Juan for this boat tour, which was adorable!
We rented a sailboat with dinner included and it was an authentic experience. Jose and Juan were super friendly and attentive during the 3 hours we were on board, explaining us a bit of the history of Lisbon and its different places. In these times it is important to mention that they had all the hygiene and safety measures. Dinner was a rice with delicious fish accompanied by typical green wine. Super recommended, we will definitely repeat.
