My mom and I booked a tour from Lisbon to Algarve with David and had the best, fun, safest time from the moment we met David! David is an excellent and very responsive communicator, highly knowledgeable about history and culture, had great tips and recommendations, and is a generous person. Although a Portugal and Lisbon native, his deep curiosity about other countries and cultures meant he was able to hold interesting conversations and connect things for us. He is fluent in English (I thought he was an American!). He took us to a restaurant that served authentic Portuguese food (several courses) that was quite inexpensive. We had a great time with David and highly recommend him.

We had an incredible tour of the The Algarve. David was simply the best - always making sure we had what we needed. We felt as though we were in the best hands possible exploring so many areas. We took the boat ride, and David arranged that for us. Then we went to all of his favorite spots for food and sightseeing. We took tons of great photos with David pointing out the best spots for them. We saw so much beauty that day and we feel we got the very best experience possible! Our 2nd tour was to Sintra. Again, we had the best day with David leading the way. We loved every minute of this tour and learned so much history from David (on both tours!). Do not hesitate to book any tours with David's company. He is an amazing human being, and he cares about Portugal deeply. We learned and saw so much in the 2 days we spent together. We cannot recommend David enough.

Our experience in and around Algarve was exceptional! We considered just renting a car and going but now after having the pleasure of experiencing a tour with David, I know we would not have seen as much, nor would we have been able to relax and enjoy it. He is Portuguese with a wealth of knowledge of the areas he takes you to and loves his country. He speaks several languages fluently and will create a tour that fits your travel style. We enjoyed the sites, the food and conversations immensely! We felt like we got to see and learn about the area in the way it should be seen. There is so much value in his tours that we added another half day tour up north! His vehicle is spotless and his driving makes you feel safe. David even had plenty of water and local snacks for us! The only negative is that we are now going to have to come back for more because we just got home last night and miss it already! Thanks David for the special memories!

Review of Private Algarve Tour From Lisbon to Benagil, Lagos and Carvoeiro Reviewed yesterday We recently took a 9-day trip to Portugal with a group of friends after a wedding in Sintra, and it was truly unforgettable — all thanks to our amazing tour guides, David and Daniel! Both of them were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful throughout the trip. They knew exactly where to take us, and because of their excellent planning and guidance, we felt like we truly saw all of Portugal! We began our tour with a visit to the stunning Pena Palace in Sintra. On the way to Porto, we made scenic stops in the charming towns of Óbidos and Nazaré. In Porto, highlights included the Douro Valley, a suspension bridge, and a relaxing canal boat ride — all absolutely breathtaking. As we made our way to Lisbon, we stopped at the historic University of Coimbra and the grand church in Fátima. One of the most memorable parts of the trip was visiting the spectacular Benagil Caves in the Algarve — a must-see! David and Daniel went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. They were patient, flexible, and even took us to our favorite restaurants. We never felt rushed, and they made sure we had time to enjoy every place we visited. By the end of the trip, they felt like part of our friend group. If you’re planning a trip to Portugal, I highly recommend touring with David and Daniel. You won’t be disappointed!

David and Daniel are great people - we were a group of 12 visiting Portugal. They took us on a seven day tour of various attractions in Porto and Lisbon including transfers from Sintra to Porto and subsequently Porto to Lisbon. We felt like family on the tour. David organized a perfect trip for us. We joined him striding from the airport and he organized perfect day trip south. Travel was very comfortable, David has great personality and entertained us along the way. My husband and I had a private tour from Lisbon to the Algarve coast ending in Lagos. David showed us amazing scenery. We took a hike on the cliffs above the rock formations. We also took a boat that was small enough to go into the caves from the water. The Algarve coast is spectacular. David took us off the beaten path and we explored areas not on the boardwalk. We also had great Portuguese food in restaurants not frequent by tourists. All in all it was an amazing experience. I highly recommend this trip.

If you are primarily staying in Lisbon for your trip and want a unique full-day excursion, this tour is an outstanding option. We have usually scheduled group tours for our family but we are so glad that we had the opportunity to schedule this private tour with David. He is such a wonderful person, with a warm personality that made us feel so welcome, as if we had known him for years. We really enjoyed his sense of humor. David's is fluent in multiple languages, and his English is excellent. Even though the drive is a few hours each way, David kept us engaged the entire time and we learned so many interesting facts about Portugese history and culture. A really nice perk is that he has a Wi-Fi hotspot so anyone can stay connected without having to use roaming data or worry about weak signal. The day with David was completely custom, and he completely catered the day to our interests. We never felt rushed to keep things moving along. You may find a less expensive option, but you certainly won't find better! We hope to be able to return to spend more time in Portugal and David will be the first person we call!

One thing was really great was Daniel was able to pick us up at our hotel. This is so convenient for us as a group. My wife and I spent the entire day (12+ hrs) with our amazing guide Daniel, and it was the most memorable day of our 10day trip to Portugal. Daniel was friendly, knowledgeable, and treated us like lifelong friends. He customized our day to our wishes, ending with a beautiful sunset and a delectable seafood dinner. Awesome English speaking guide. Comfortable van for 6. Very personable and knowledgeable. Engaged with each of us and our interests in touring. After 1st day we hired him for the next 4 days. Very reasonable. Took us to amazing places, restaurants, ancient sites and towns we would never have experienced otherwise. Very flexible and accommodating. I wish I could give him a 6. He went above and beyond.

We recently had two days of amazing tours to Sintra and the Algarve with David. We have never booked a private tour before and we are so happy we did. My wife and I spent two weeks in Portugal and wanted our last day to include the Algarve region. We signed up for a privately guided trip with David based on his great reviews. The reviews were correct. The trip was perfect and I echo all of the great reviews. David confirmed time and meeting spot ahead of time and even brought some towels for us to use at the beach. He picked us up in a Tesla, which was very clean and comfortable. He is very nice and speaks English fluently. He ensured we got on the early boat ride to see the caves on the coast, making sure to call ahead so they wouldn’t depart without us. After a great boat ride, he then took us to a nice lunch spot for fresh seafood and gave us some alone time for some relaxation at the beach. A final stop at another great viewpoint and then drive back to Lisbon. Brought us some fresh squeezed orange juice as well for the drive back, which was incredibly good. I would not hesitate to book a tour with David again and would recommend him to anyone. Thanks again David!

This was the most incredible day trip my cousin and I have ever been on! From the get go, Daniel and David were very friendly, communicative, and organized. Prior to our trip, they checked in with us regarding whether we wanted to take the optional boat ride through the beaches and caves of Carvoeiro and Benagil (which we would highly recommend!) and took into consideration what we wanted to see and do. Daniel was the best guide we could have asked for. He gave my cousin and I the most incredible day and experience of our trip in Portugal. He made our trip go so smoothly and perfectly. He went above and beyond throughout the entire day and made sure to customize every part of the trip based on our interests. He was extremely well-organized, patient, considerate, accommodating, informative, and kind. We were amazed by how much we saw in the span of a day. We would highly recommend this experience!

We stopped in Marionha Beach, Benajil Caves, and Logoa. This trip was full of tours but our Algarve experience with David was the highlight of our time in Portugal. Even with the clouds, it was stunning. He came prepared for everything! He tailored the tour to what we wanted to see and never rushed a thing. He even brought snacks! In retrospect, we should have cancelled the other tours and solely used David’s expertise and guidance. This tour was unforgettable!

Do yourself a favor and ask for Daniel or David. They are very thorough and attentive detail. Our trip started on time and we had full control over the schedule. He gave us great suggestions and did not leave us a stray. He also gave us some things to think about which we took advantage of and we’re so glad that we did. Daniel made our trip to the Algarve amazing. We experienced so many different parts of the coast. We started with the optional boat ride and Daniel had delicious fresh squeezed orange juice waiting for us. We headed to a lovely lunch spot where we enjoyed conversation with Daniel. After lunch we headed to explore the coast from the land, Lagos (where my husband had to stop for ice cream!), carvoerio, and Praia da Marinha. At each place we stopped Daniel took the time to show us something special and magical. We got to lay on the beach and swim in the Atlantic. We never felt rushed. This was an incredible trip and it exceeded our expectations in every way.

This is by far the best activity we did while we were in Portugal. David was so personable and friendly. He was able to provide excellent recommendations for the remainder of our trip as well. The car ride was comfortable and smooth from Lisbon. We traveled with our 3 year old and the tour company provided a car seat for this experience. The Algarve views were so breathtaking. We opted in for the optional boat ride to the Carvoeiro Caves, which was such an amazing experience. 10/10 would recommend this trip.

The caves were the best. And David was the best host! Food was amazing and views were stunning. Car was clean and comfortable, David was on time and communicative, and free water and wifi was nice bonus.

One of the best tour guide named Daniel. The owner is David. The whole experience was so good that I will call to hire him when any of my family or friends go to Portugal. He came on time,car was very clean. We are vegetarian and he kept that thing in mind while chosing restaurants during this great day tour. The Algarve region is so stunningly beautiful, take the day and take this tour. We started the day at on overlook that just teased us in to what we were going to see the rest of the day! Then we drove along the coast through these amazing little towns to get to Portimao for a 2 hour boat tour that went east along the coast into all sorts of caves and we even saw a dolphin! After the boat tour, David took us to this amazing restaurant that was guiltingly cheap and VERY tasty. Staff was lovely. Food was so fresh and all inclusive for 12.50 euro (not sure how they make $ - worth a tip). Ponta da Piedade is a beautiful lighthouse with lovely boardwalks to take in the gorgeous views. Saving the best for last was our guide David. As the tour operator, he really gives out such a detailed tour and makes the day fun. I would love to give this tour a 10 but sadly limited to the 5 stars allowed. David was a great communicator before the tour setting details with us to ensure the day was successful. Yes it 2.5 hours out of LIsbon but the drive was easy and rest stops available. David was a conscientious driver and guide throughout our day. Would I hire David for another tour? Yes absolutely!

We booked this trip last minute and I am very happy we visited Algarve with David as our guide. My twins are 20 years old and David chatted with them as peers and us as peers too. His communication abilities are par excellence, from youth to adults, the conversations were super amazing. My kids were very impressed on his knowledge on all world affairs especially North American culture and its differences with European cultures. For me people are stories, whenever we travel we love to learn about the culture, story of its people. Knowing David was knowing a long lost friend. His ability to open up, sharing his childhood stories and family stories-is a very powerful communication skill and he is highly emotionally intelligent.
