This was wonderful way to travel and made the trip so much easier. Diego was incredibly kind and helpful. Porto was beautiful and it was nice that our trip was customized to what we said our interests were. The car was comfortable and immaculate as well.

Mr Euclides our tour guide/driver was an amazing person. He was very friendly and helpful and showed us some stunning places in the beautiful city of Porto.

We did a private tour because we needed to be back for an evening reservation. He was an excellent driver and adapted his plans to suit our needs. He was attentive and interesting to talk to. Porto is hard to do in a day but he made it easier.

Euclides was right on time & a very thoughtful and careful driver. He took us to all the must sees & had an excellent lunch recommendation. He was always there when we were ready. The sherry tasting was in a beautiful setting. Wonderful day

We had a great trip with Tiago. We went with another couple and were able to customize our trip and make a stop at Nazare and take a shorter lunch at Porto to make up time. We really enjoyed touring and tasting port at Taylors at the last stop. Tiago was friendly, knowledgeable and set the tone for a great day. We had a bonus driver, Lino, who was learning the tour and he was fun too. The Mercedes van is very comfortable and I highly recommend this tour.

It is a very long day, but well worth it if you don’t have time to stay for a few days Our guide/driver was excellent - knew Porto very well and it’s history, a little difficult to understand at times, but very courteous and helpful New Mercedes very clean and comfort

It was a long drive from Lisbon to Porto but our driver/guide, Rui, was such a professional driver and knowledgeable guide. He gave us lots of interesting information along the way making our ride very enjoyable. We saw and learned a lot about Porto from Rui. He’s the best driver/guide anyone could ask for. We were so lucky to have him! Make sure you ask for Rui if you ever decided to do this trip.

Unbelievable! We had less time than needed but wanted to experience some of the best of Porto. Rui was the best guide we have ever had. PERIOD! He was so accommodating and made sure we got to where we wanted to go despite the time crunch and helped us maximize our time by making reservations for the next stops while we took in the sights. He also knew just the right places. The entire ride we were blessed to learn the history of Portugal and the areas we travelled. What an amazing human being and we are so grateful we had this experience. We will never forget this trip! Obrigado!

The private tour to Porto we took with our guide and driver Sergio was memorable. Porto is a beautiful waterfront city made more enjoyable by the knowledge and insights of our local guide whose love of Portugal was genuine.We greatly enjoyed the Port wine tasting in the garden at the Taylor winery. Sergio personalized the tour by taking us to a wonderful seafood restaurant frequented by locals where we had a great dish of monkfish and shrimp. We also tried barnacles for the first time, which are an inch or so long, and taste a little like a cross between oysters and a crustacean. Sergio was also kind enough, at our request, to take us on a side trip to the fortress city of Obidos,also famous for its delicious sour cherry liqueur which was great.. Sergio is a very nice person and an exceptional guide who was a pleasure to spend the day with and became our friend.

Rui was fantastic! He’s extremely knowledgeable, kind, professional, and would highly recommend his tour to others. We visited our top spots: Porto train station, Livraria Lello Library, Porto Dauro River cruise, & Port tasting at Taylor Flagate’s Wine Celler. We would hands down book another tour with Rui. We were a group of 6. The Mercedes van was very comfortable. Driver, Euclides, arrived on time. Very neat. Very polite. Pointed out and explained the different sites we passed. Drove smoothly. Very accommodating to stops for bathroom breaks. I would highly recommend. After our day trip to Porto, we got another trip to Sintra with the same company for the following day.

We had an amazing trip from start to finish on Monday October 14th with Euclides. The tour was fabulous. Euclides was extremely knowledgeable and informative showing us the major attractions of the beautiful city of Porto. We learned so much and loved talking to him about the history and culture. He arranged for our lunch at a fabulous cafe on the Douro River with breathtaking views of the port. The tour of the Taylor winery was a great finale to our wonderful day. Euclides expertly navigated the streets of Porto. The pickup and drop offs were beyond our expectations of how he made our trip extremely convenient. Ishmael was an Excellent, driver, guide, historian & current events resource. My wife has some mobility issues & we walk slowly. Ishmael showed a great deal of respect, adjusting the tour to our pace & watching out for Mrs missteps.

Had a wonderful time in Porto. My tour guide Carlos was very knowledgeable about the area and took us to the best spots in town…the Harry Potter Library and the “world’s most beautiful McDonalds”. The restaurant recommendation for lunch was fantastic! Porto is a magnificent city and I’m glad that Carlos was my guide!

We were picked up in a spotlessly clean Mercedes by Paolo at our hotel. We asked for an itinerary change to see the Douro Valley and visit a vineyard. It was quickly confirmed. We drove through the beautiful countryside discussing Portugal and world politics. Paulo knew so much about his country - we learned a great deal. He stopped several times at great photo spots - the valley with all its vineyards is stunning! Finally, he took us to the Pacheka vineyard where we had a tasting. Fantastic! We’re new wine club members and sent a case home. Try the Tawny Port! We had lunch at a spot he knew of and walked around Lamego a bit. We didn’t get back until 8:30 as the drive was around 4 hours each way. He was so accommodating and it was a magnificent day. We cannot recommend this tour and this driver enough!

The drive to Porto was worth it! Our guide, Miguel was awesome and showed us the major sites in Porto. He took us on the bridge overlooking the river to get a view that was simply amazing!

Luiz was fabulous, he gave us exactly what we wanted. There was a great balance between educating us and letting us enjoy. He was great to spend the day with and made sure we saw absolutely everything we could in the time we had.

Porto was beautiful However the reason for 3 stars is because we asked in advance to organize a Vegan option for lunch and he just said walk down there see if you find one 😳 which we didn’t and had no lunch at all!! And it was along day with no food… Also no history on the stops or anywhere on the tour. Otherwise he was pleasant but very minimalistic

We loved Ishmael our driver and tour guide, he was the absolute best. He was very mindful of my Aunt who was a slower walker when taking our paths on the tour. He was very knowledgeable about Portugal's history. The tour was amazing and would definitely do it again especially if we got to do it with Ishmael.

Our driver, Wasley Dantas, was incredible. He kept us informed of his approximate arrival time so that we could continue to enjoy ourselves as long as possible. He was extremely courteous, polite, and very professional, both in his actions and his appearance. The entire trip he was very friendly and patient. When we arrived at our destination, he stayed and made sure that we could get into our accommodation.

Hugo was wonderful and very accommodating! Suggested an awesome place for lunch where we had traditional Portuguese food. In addition we tasted some really delicious Port wine. He was patient and a hell of a nice guy !

Hugo of Gold Compas was great. He was a great guide of the city and introduced us to the "Francesinha". For anyone not staying in the city overnight and are looking to experience Porto for a day....I would highly recommend it.

Carlos was an amazing tour guide. He was very patient with us and even made a pitstop at Fatima, so my mom could see the exterior of the Basilica. He explained the history of Porto along the way and took us to all the highlights in Porto. Then we went across the river and had lunch with an amazing view. We also went to Bom Dia winery to do some port wine tasting. Overall, it was a very great experience and I highly recommend this tour!

The car is very clean and in a good condition. The driver is driving safety. He even can tell and show us where is the must go attractions during the tour. He is not even a good driver but he can be a tourist guide too. My wife and I are happy for his private tour service.

I was hoping that this would be something I couldn't do on my own. Our driver Diego was fantastic. However, we only had 3 hours in Porto. We decided to have a guided tour but that only left us with 30 minutes to grab something to nibble on while we waited for our driver to grab the car. We ended up spending more time traveling than in Porto. I would offer the guided tour along with a couple of hours free time especially at the price point. With the reviews and the price I expected a lot more.

This is an excellent tour for people with limited time. Special thanks to our amazing tour guide Ismael who made our day more than we expected. With his helpful tips we managed to visit spectacular bookshop Livraria Lello in Porto. We managed to find best wine stores and he also stop in Fatima & Nazare on our way. If you have any chance save some time for Nazare which is a magnificient place. Thank you for the great day:)

Our tour to Porto was excellent. Our driver made the day very enjoyable and accomodating. We were taken to all the points of interest in Porto, but also our guide would stop whenever we showed interest in anything along the way! Made a full day very enjoyable.

I was expecting an informative tour as has always been our experience with Viator. Our driver was super at negotiating traffic but was transparent about not being knowledgeable about the sites or sharing historical information. He was clear that he would take us any where we wanted, but having never been there, we had no clue. We knew where to meet him at the end of our independent meanderings (sometimes lost). No porto cave experience had been arranged nor were any port vaults available last minute. We did see interesting sights on our own after being dropped off. He made suggestions such as visiting the book store and took us to the train station (very cool) and the Chapel of Lost Souls for pictures of the tiles (really amazing). We always take Viator tours if possible, but this was not comparable to the other tours we have had here or other countries as there was no knowledgeable tour guide to accompany us nor someone to walk us around. We were pretty much on our own. Could have taken a train and planned our own trip with more background.

A fantastic day to Porto. Our driver Rui was extremely knowledgeable and gave us an excellent overview of Portuguese history and the relationship of Porto to their history. Very comfortable car and we were able to see the major sites. A great trip when you only have a day from Lisbon.

Mario (our tour guide & driver) was excellent & super professional on the day of our trip from Lisbon to Porto. He already had the best itinerary planned out for us. We informed him on the morning of our tour that we booked a boat ride at 11am and he ensured that we arrived on time and picked us up afterwards in a punctual manner. He took us to all the great places in Porto like the Harry Potter library (unfortunately we couldn’t book tickets to go inside), the train station, the best viewpoint of Porto for photos, the Porto Cathedral and many other points of interests that covers the entire Porto sightseeing checklist. Mario was the most efficient and professional tour guide (and driver) we’ve had during our time in Lisbon. He made an effort to even make a lunch reservation for my parents and booked a legitimate tour of the wine cellar for them. Mario looked after me and my parents (who were in their 60s & 70s) with incredible kindness & consideration. As a tour guide, he’s efficient, patient and level-headed. I’ll definitely request him to be my tour guide again if I have anything to do in Portugal in the future. Thank you for everything and keep up the great work!
