Our chef Maham was a very good instructor and was so patient with all of us at different cooking levels. Such a fun experience while we traveled on a cruise ship. A great way to sample the national pastry and get the recipe to try and recreate it at home.

We had such fun making pastel de natas with Maham. It was such a unique way to experience a little authentic dessert with friends. Great location! All the supplies were ready to make it! Maham was awesome! She was so patient with us novices! We highly recommend this fun and tasty experience!
Overall it was an enjoyable experience - although I felt we could have received better VFM as we only made 4 small pastel de natas between the 2 of us ! Also rather disappointing to find that the recipe we received by email differed quite a bit from the actual technique we were shown. I am trying it today and fingers crossed it works but I feel I’m starting from scratch !!!
The class was small, just me and a family of 3. The chef/instructor had everything prepared and explained things well. The class was well time at 2 hours and very interactive. We worked in teams of 2 to create 6 pastel de natas and got to each eat 2 with an expresso. The location is a bit out of the typical tourist area but close to a metro so easy enough to get to.
Chef Maham gave very clear instructions and explanation. Making the pastel de nata was fun, easy under her supervision, systematic, and precise. The pastel de nata was so delicious. The crust was flaky and crispy. The custard was soft and delectable. Very good recipe.
Lovely experience and it was a joy working with Maham.
As a family of four including two teenagers we absolutely loved this experience. Malam was patient and knowledgeable and miraculously our pastries turned out perfectly. It was a lot of fun and I would even be able to make these at home. So I would highly recommend this course.
This was a memorable family experience for my partner and I and our three teenagers. We learnt something and enjoyed eating our tarts.
Awesome class and really caring instructor who actually spends the time getting to know you! My friend and I walked away with 6 delicious pastel de natas, and the full walk through on all the techniques, etc. to be able to replicate this back home. Our chef even went above and beyond to send us the recipe afterwards and set up a cute little dinner table for us to enjoy the pastel de natas together :) Highly recommend!
It was a great time learning all the steps of making the Portugal classic treat. The staff was very professional and friendly. We were able to enjoy our creation with a beverage of our choice. I recommend this activity for families and even kids.
We got there about 5 minutes late. Micheal was very kind and did not even mind. He walked us through every step of how to make Pastel de Nata. It was not super difficult but challenging enough to make it fun. The end result was fantastic, it tasted really good and allowed us to experience baking for the first time on our honey moon. I highly recommend this experience to those looking for something fun, tasty, and bonding with friends or in a relationship. Thank you for the experience.
This was a great experience! I do not have much baking experience, but the step-by-step instructions allowed my friend and I to successfully bake delicious pasteis de nata! Would highly recommend this activity as a different kind of cultural experience, especially on a hot day in Lisbon as the kitchen was nice and cool!
Lisbon Affair’s Pastel de Nata class was a great experience. It was lovely to get to know other people who were travelling and spend time cooking together in a small group. The chef was amazing, interesting and made the whole baking process simple. I would most definitely recommend to people staying anywhere in Lisbon as it is easily accessible by Metro. Plus, the pastries were absolutely delicious!
It was a superb experience, the Chefs were excellent and their instructions were easy to understand and concise. You did not need to be an experienced baker to take this class. They shared the history surrounding the Pastel de Nata tarts. It was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon with my husband. 100% recommend.
Thank you so much for this great experience. The class was so interesting and I learned how to make my own pastel de nata... And they were really great!!! I look forward, trying it at home.
Excellent experience with Chef Michael. He was through and provided encouragement! Although, we have not received the recipe electronically,
The class lasts 2 hours. The teacher was really nice. It was really good experience. At the end you can taste your pastel and you have the recipe by email.
Beatriz was great! She explained everything very well. There was 4 of us and she had all us participating in the preparation. Can’t wait to try this at home. It was delicious and my husband enjoyed it as much as I did.
Beatriz was a great teacher and made learning how to make the traditional Pastel de Nata dessert fun. We ended up being the only people who signed up for the class that day, so we enjoyed the more personalized experience we had as well.
Enjoy an afternoon cooking the special natas and the detail that is put into these little treats. Much better tasting than eating the ones you can purchase at any of the bakeries found in Lisbon.
Yum!!! Great fun, learned from a truly creative baker. She managed to be sure no one hung back, suggested the original bakery for Nata in Belem (and it was amazing, except for ours). Fun way to spend a few hours
Making Pastel de Nata from scratch was an incredible experience in Lisbon. Beatriz provided an informative history of the dessert. We had a small group of 5 which was nice! Beatriz was feeling a little bit under the weather at the time but provided a fun and light atmosphere experience nonetheless. The Pastel de Nata was absolutely delicious! Thank you so much, Beatriz!
Good class however we felt the class had too many people for a hands on experience. Location was warm and I would suggest a maximum of 10 people per class.
What a fun experience. Bernardo is an amazing chef and teacher. Very calm and patient, answered all of our questions, and guided us throughout every step. The pasties de nata we made were so delicious. Definitely recommend taking a class here.
What a marvelous experience! We had a group of 12 people, including adults and kids. Our chefs were not only excellent teachers, but fun and entertaining! Our pasteis de nata were delicious! We highly recommend Lisbon Affair for this baking experience!!
Beatrice was amazing such a fun experience would definitely recommend! We spent around 2 hours there and the pastries were delicious!
Beatriz is AMAZING. Take a class with her, it was so worth it. I took the pastel de nata & it was the freshest I had ever had.
It was such a unique experience. Bea was our pastry guide today and was so delightful! We enjoyed learning in a small group and such a relaxed atmosphere. We really enjoyed learning how to make this traditional pastry of Portugal and would recommend to anyone visiting the area! You won’t regret the time spent learning and making new friends.
Miguel our instructor was superb!! Super friendly and knowledgeable. We had the class all to ourselves and made the most delicious pastel de nata which we got to take home with us!
Wonderful experience working with Carla making pastries. She was a pure delight and her knowledge of her trade was on display with our 6 inexperienced chefs! A great time!
This chef is very, very knowledgeable and good at making pasta de nata pastry from scratch and I learned a lot from her. She is ever bit the professional, However this class is not for the lay individual. It felt like you need to be a professional bakery chef going in. We are all cooks in our home and it was still difficult to pick up the technique and it was fairly hard and intimidating to do it just right. That being said I would take it again, but just know its not a lay back or really fun class, but you will learn the technique.
An extremely enjoyable experience, both the stories and the conversations we had with our instructor as well as the beautiful Pastelle de Natas we created and enjoyed.
I was there with my junior. Bea was incredibly nice. The workshop was amazing. I can recommend it to everyone. And the selfmade Pastel de Nata at the end .. Super Delicious :D
My 11 year old son and I had an amazing experience today with Beatriz. What a wealth of knowledge and a great personality. It was all hands on and the final product was delicious. I’ll definitely be making the Pastel de Nata at home for family and friends. Thank you for making our experience even more memorable. Cheers Stephanie PS- please send the recipe 😀
A wow experience; authentic & entertaining....good fun with the lovely Beatrice. Kitchens & dining spotlessly clean & smart. Very welcoming & friendly. Obrigado ❤️
The pastel de nata workshop was well organized and fun to join! The guidance from the chef was very good, making the workshop easy for beginners to follow. We had a very nice afternoon, highly recommended. The pastels worked out well!
I have booked on the Viator site and this has been confirmed. On the day of the course, an overbooking was reported by the organizer and it was jointly agreed to cancel the course and the money will be refunded to us. Unfortunately, the organizer did not get in touch and apparently did not care. It took me a week to get the official confirmation that we would eventually get the money back. Even now after another week and a half I have not received a refund and the organizer does not react to our messages. We will not book here again and will not recommend.
Very funny experience, Beatrice was very good. We hope we can replicate his teachings at home
Very nice activity, well accompanied and rewarding. Miguel, the pastry chef who showed us how to make Pastel de Naya was just amazing!
Fijne chef, goede uitleg en veel enthousiasme! Veel feitjes over de herkomst van het gerecht en de geschiedenis van Lissabon. Chef had duidelijk veel kennis en bracht dit op een gezellige en leerzame manier. Groot succes!
