We had an amazing morning exploring Lapa with Miguel as our guide! He took us to hidden gems like the English Cemetery, the ancient aqueduct system, and a stunning basilica—places we would never have discovered on our own. Miguel was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and had a curiosity that made each stop fascinating. He even gave us a mini Latin lesson and recommended fantastic local spots for food. His passion for the area was contagious, and we left with a much deeper appreciation for Lapa. Highly recommend Miguel for an unforgettable experience in Lisbon!

It was lovely walking around with Isabel. Highly recommend this tour - shows more local side of Lisbon ! Highly recommend
Isabel was the perfect guide. Capable, honest, responsible, and knows her history and culture. We appreciated seeing the off the beaten track places she took us ( esp the Campo de Ourique area). She has an obvious passion for local history and lore. She answered all questions and even helped me w my Portuguese grammar and pronunciation! We would highly recommend her for any tour.
Guide over booked. Said he would be an hour late. We waited, never showed up. Sat on steps while trying to connect trip advisor or the local company or the guide. Avoid !
Im so glad a picked this tour! As someone who is passionate about photography, this was the perfect tour to capture the less famous more authentic parts of Lisbon. My tour guide, Pedro, was incredible. He was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly, and super patient since I had hurt my ankle earlier in my trip. He ensured we moved at my pace and offered to take public transportation when I felt I needed a break. I loved the places we visited and I was able to get some amazing photos - this was a great tour and I highly recommend it!
Isabel took us on an amazing tour 'off the beaten track' in Lisbon with With Locals. She was very knowledgeable, kind and fun! It was great to see some neighbourhoods we wouldn't have seen otherwise and into some less touristed zones. She shared interesting tidbits, facts and stories that made the tour enjoyable and helped us to understand more about what we were seeing and the history of Lisbon. She also gave us some wonderful recommendations of places to go and where to eat. We would definitely recommend taking a walking tour with Isabel when you're in Lisbon.
We wanted to see the areas a bit away from the center of Lisbon and this tour was great for that. Saw some parks, a market and neighborhoods. Lots of great walking. Isabel was great and spoke great English and took us to unique spots.
Fabulous experience. So much history and beauty. Henrique was the best guide ever. I highly recommend this 3 hour walking tour. Some hills and uneven walkways. It was pricey but loved it.
Try it you will like it for sure ! I had a great experience and I will do it again in other countries.
We had a long walk with Jorge, we bombarded him with many questions and he gve good and clear answer to all, it seems as he knows everything, from history through calture, politics and economics to great cool places to hang out at. After taking few tours in Lisbon before, we thought it would be the same stories and similar places, but we were proven wrong again and again. We think it was the best tour ever. Thank you Jorge!
The perfect tour for anyone who wants to see something other than the "touristy" side of Lisbon. Our guide Mafalda was wonderful! We highly recommend this tour.
Guide blew us off with no notification. I had to email The parent company in Netherlands after standing around. Lost a whole day of our vacation because of this lousy company.
I enjoy travel to get to know and understand other cities and cultures more than to sightsee. This tour was exactly what I had thought it would be. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and it was more like talking with a friend than a tour. I highly recommend this tour.
Jorge made our day in Lisboa! My husband and I took his tour with high expectations and he exceeded them at every opportunity. We are in good condition, and it was necessary for the hills and stairs that make this tour so awesome. After our initial Covid-appropriate "air hug," we popped down 4 Euros apiece and scaled the spiral staircase to the rooftop of the Basilca do Estrela and got to see Lisbon from a totally unique perspective. Every mile thereafter was peppered with his engaging attitude and profoundly insightful knowledge of each building style, tile and it's place in Lisboa's history. People everywhere stopped him to say hello, and offer us a kind treat or friendly smile. We recommend Jorge and will remember him for many years to come.
We couldn't have chosen a better local for our first visit to Lisbon. Antonio was both thoughtful and intentional about every aspect of our time together. We thoroughly enjoyed every tasting, historical connection, story, fun fact and views the city had to offer. It really felt like we were reconnecting with an old friend. Antonio was very personable and engaging. He is also a good listener. He made a quick pivot during our time together which proved very meaningful to our overall experience. Please don't hesitate to book your next local experience with Antonio. You won't be disappointed.
Toured with Isabel - pretty good. Little too chill for me. Unfortunately, I don't really care about the embassies, etc. Will say Isabel knew her stuff and was delightful.
Ana was a great tour guide, she knew a lot about the area and took us to some great spots. The nata stop and the LX Factory ending were highlights!
Jorge is a knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic guide who gave us a real insiders look at Lisbon. He showed us places we would never have discovered ourselves and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. We would highly recommend Jorge as a guide. Thanks for a great morning out Jorge.
I took this tour because I wanted to see some of Lisbon that was not in the city centre. I met Isabel at the Basilica da Estrela and we walked around three main areas. I was delighted to see some sights that would not be obvious to tourists. Isabel was a delight, knowledgeable and passionate about her city. I can thoroughly recommend this tour.
This was the perfect tour for our first day in Lisbon. Jorge showed my wife and I neighborhoods and locations we may never have found otherwise. We ended the tour at the LX Factory, and ended up returning to a restaurant there for dinner. If you're looking for someone who knows where to go for a local experience, with the historical knowledge to back it up, you won't get better than Jorge
Bruno impressed us with his knowledge and love for the city of Lisbon. It is apparent that he has a passion for his city and is only too glad to share this with his clients. Thanks for a great day!
We truly enjoyed the hours together with Bruno. He knows literaly everything about Lisbon, and tells about it in a way, where you want to listen. He engaged himself in small discussions with every member of our family, making each of us (myself, my wife and our two grown up sons) part in the experience.
With less than 24 hours in Lisbon, we wanted to do something different that would give us a glimpse into the neighborhoods and livelihood of the local people. Instead of choosing a bike tour in Lisbon proper, we opted for the alternative and hopped on the ferry in Belém and headed over to the fishing village of Trafaria, which was the second stop, just on the other side of the river. My fiancé and I were pleasantly surprised to have not one, but two guides - Reuben and Fernanda, both friends of Joana. They were most knowledgeable about the landmarks, history and traditions of Costa de Caprica, but more importantly fun and friendly. Watching them interact with the locals said it all. After biking along a beautiful plateau overlooking the town (stopping to enjoy figs from a wild fig tree- some of the best I've ever tasted) we stopped at a fantastic little cafe for a bite and bubbles - all local of course. Octopus ceviche, fresh bread, sparkling white wine, and some other delicacies from both land and sea. Our tour wouldn't have been complete without biking along the beautiful beach then right through Reuben's quaint neighborhood alleyways of Cova du Vapor, where we were greeted with smiles from every friend and cousin as they were out grilling and gathering for lunch. We also passed through what appeared to be a boat graveyard where old wooden boats of all colors lined the pavement. This was 100% the true local experience we were seeking. We left with new friends and a new appreciation for the people and lifestyle of the people of Trafaria and Cova du Vapor. Would highly recommend this tour for those seeking a scenic, active and authentic experience never to be forgotten!
Peter and I asked for a 5 hour cycling trip around the city and out of the city as much as possible! Simon was amazing and tailored the day to our liking! He was extremely knowledgeable in city history and we learnt a lot! A great insight into Portuguese culture! This has to be the best way to explore the city and surrounding area! The bikes were good quality, worked well and were comfortable! Many thanks Simon we loved our trip! I would highly recommend Simon, he was very accommodating of our requirements, especially as we changed the plan while out riding.
Fun, knowledgeable, spontaneous, and overall a well of information! Love how we stepped a bit out of the box and made the tour more lifestyle since that was what I asked for. The flavors, views, history & music of Lisbon will stay with me forever thanks to the beauty of experiencing it with Ana Paula! Thank you!
The booking process was efficient as Ana was quick in replying and understood what i was looking for. I took the Off the Beaten walk tour, Ana designed the route and ended in the trendy LX factory area ( a must visit) where I got some cool souvenirs. Ana speaks fluent English and knows the city inside out, very pleasant w a beautiful smile. I was late for 30 minutes due to bad traffic, but Ana waited for me patiently and still did the full 3 hour walk w me. I appreciate the hospitality and it reflects well on friendly Lisbon people. I would hire Ana again when i m back w the kids next time and highly recommend her to my friends. Abligado Ana, job well done.
Bruno gave us a wonderful introduction to the city and being on such a small, private tour made asking questions and being engaged all the easier. We loved spending time with him and having him teach us all about his city.
I had a long layover in Lisbon and booked Raquel for a few hours. I had never booked a tour like this before so it was pretty new but I absolutely loved it and would definitely do it again! Raquel was awesome, friendly, helpful, and easy to contact with any questions I had prior to meeting for the tour. She was accommodating to my dietary restrictions and checked with the store owner before I ordered, which was much appreciated! She was also very knowledgeable about the city and its history. I can't believe much I got to explore and learn in just a few short hours! She also didn't cut the tour short because of time and made sure to show me everything she said she would. Overall an excellent experience with a great tour guide..highly recommend Raquel!
We were a group of 7 girls and booked a special Tapas/Bar tour with Wolfgang. We met at 6pm in Alfama. First we went to some small Tapas Bars, had a beer and a wine and the most delicious Pastel de nata. Wolfgang lives in this neighborhood so he really knows all the hidden gems of the quarter and many fun stories to them. So we had a wonderful walk from Alfama to Bairro alto where we ended up eating tapas and dancing in a bar. Wolfgang is a blast and he really loves this city! We had so much fun and will definitely come back for another bar tour with him one day! 10 stars and 7 hearts for him!
I had a very lovely tour with Lucy. Her attitude was so friendly and warm yet professional that it almost felt like spending morning with a friend. We had great conversations not only about Lisbon and its culture but also about travelling which i love too and other common things. Thank you so much and good luck with your next adventures. :)
The tour was easy to arrange on-line. Met at the agreed start point and explored a lot of the hidden treasures of Lisbon, away from the hustle and crowded streets. This was a private tour for a couple. Ana Paula was a very good guide and showed us many side streets of interest that we would never have gone down and hidden viewpoints that gave spectacular views over the city and estuary. Exploring on our own we would have missed so much. She quickly adapted to our walking pace and limitations on steps so was very considerate of our abilities. We can highly recommend Ana Paula.
we had a great tour. it was so interesting and time passed so fast. I can only recommend it. Greetings from Munich.
Carlos was a terrific guide. He knows so much about the city and Portuguese history generally. He was so generous about sharing all his knowledge. He really made the evening fun! He ended the tour by dropping us at his favorite restaurant, where we had a wonderful dinner. You really can't go wrong with this walking tour no matter what you are looking for. He spent time with us to figure out our interests and customized the tour according. Thanks again Carlos!
Jorge's inside knowledge of Lisbon combined with his passion was a winner. We are so glad we booked him. He really helped us learn how to enjoy our three days in Lisbon. He did not waste any time, he showed us little things that only local with a knowledge and passion for his city can show. Our tour was supposed to be 4 hrs; he didn't care when we got close to fifth hour. Highly, highly recommended Thank you Jorge for making this experience memorable Besima and Zoran, USA
Bruno is a great guide. We really enjoyed his off the beaten path tour of Lisbon and would highly recommend it for anyone who is looking to discover a more locals version of Lisbon. Bruno was a fun guide who was very knowledgeable of the history and the city itself.
The off the beaten track your weekend this Carlos was the highlight of our city trip in Lisbon. We only had 2 days in the city and so not much time to explore Lisbon. We were with 4 guys and decided to book this tour so we could at least get some view of local life in Lisbon. And I'm so glad we booked it with Carlos! He was a real delight to spend the afternoon with! He showed us the part of Lisbon which is not overrun with tourists, which has really nice, because it's so packed with tourists in the city centre! Carlos was super friendly and relaxed and he let us take the time wherever we wanted. We stopped 2 times for some beers and he was totally fine with it. Carlos studied and worked in a bunch of different areas which made great conversations! He also was very knowledgeable about Lisbon history and fun facts during the tour. Carlos is a really good pick if you consider a tour in Lisbon!!
We had an amazing tour with Jorge. He was knowledgeable and flexible, and very generous with his time. I felt we got over and above in terms of value. It was our first day in Lisbon, and we covered a lot of ground that helped us to get oriented to the city.
It was really interesting to see other parts of Lisbon. Isabel was a very nice guide and showed us her sight of Lisbon. We laughed a lot and she gave us very good tips for shopping, restaurants and things to do in Lisbon. We can highly recommend the tour and especially Isabel!!
We arrived at our meeting place in time to sit and have a quick lunch in a cute café. We spotted a small table and settled in, discussing what we were going to order. Always an exciting moment for our foodie family! Sadly, we were soon evicted in the nicest way possible by a smiley fellow who'd nipped inside for a moment. He then kindly offered to share his table but everyone could see we wouldn't all fit! so we had a delicious picnic in the park instead and made our way back to our meeting spot to find our smiley evictor was Bruno our local guide! It was a very funny moment, one of many we had with Bruno that afternoon. He took us on a great tour, was knowledgeable about the History, Economics and Culture of Lisbon and showed us some secret spots only the locals know about! We ended our afternoon at The LX Factory-an industrial site which has been redeveloped into Bars, shops, cafes etc. Our teens declared it the 'coolest place in Lisbon by far'. We all cant wait to return..
If you want the tour guide who truly knows what spots to show you in Portugal Wolfgang is your guy!! He is very knowledgeable about the area as he shows you. Again best tour in Lisbon! !!!
We really enjoyed the guided walk with Monica. She is well educated in Lisbon's historical and current facts and had chosen interesting places worth seeing. She was also very helpful and even ordered a taxi for us. We're glad we did the walk. And we are very satisfied with Monica! // Mattias, Sweden
me and my family spent two days with Leonor, and we had good time and interesting notions to learn, as Leonor is a very empathic person and her acknowledge and culture make a tour with her a special thing, uniquely personal, her introduction to Lisbon will remain long in our hearts. Thanks a lot Lioness Leonor
Ana took us round Lisbon on the hottest day on record. - the tour was filled with energy, enthusiasm and passion for the city and its secret stories, truly local experience, humour, she went above and beyond! I would highly recommended anyone to join her for insights and an experience that became quickly became the highlight of our visit to Lisbon.
Worked with a host named Bruno to design a tour for a day excursion that suited the entire family (Fatima and Sentra) all of whom had different likes. One included a senior citizen who was not good at walking over the course of the day, at which point Bruno modified the arrangements appropriately and quickly. Fantastic experience!
I had a great time being shown around Lisbon by David. He took me on a really interesting route, showing me the less touristy parts and was chock full of knowledge about both local information and the history of his county. I thoroughly recommend his tour, especially as it includes coffee and a delicious pastel de nata!
Wolfgang was a pleasure to be with as he took our family on a tour we would have been unlikely to come across on our own. Walking through neighborhoods was so fun. He was very accomodating and open to our pace. Would recommend this tour to anyone looking to acquaint yourself with Lisbon beyond the central tourist areas. Was really helpful to do this early in the trip because we had lots of questions and Wolfgang was so helpful!
What can I say, Lucy was great, she was so friendly and had fabulous local knowledge, knew many locals on the way round the tour and showed us a side to Lisbon that avoids the really touristy places. A great afternoon and well worth it, as a family we all enjoyed thoroughly. Thank you Lucy!!
Ana showed us lovely places where we can go to eat, to drink and also to chill. We eat the best chocolat cake of the world in the factory part of the city. This part is so amazing and creative. Thanks Ana for the good time <3
Bruno was very energetic and showed us things that we never would have seen without him as a tour guide. He gave us an opportunity to blend in with the locals and take part in their everyday activities. His English was excellent and his personality was warm and inviting. This tour didn't feel like he was going through the motions and giving the same tour on a daily basis. He smiled the whole time and shared information along the way. I highly recommend Bruno as a tour guide. My whole family enjoyed his company. We had two 9 year old's and a 14 and Bruno interacted well with them.
She is fluent in French, has a lot of interesting stories to tell about the district we visited, she takes care of us, slows when necessary, accelerates when we can follow her. The tour was important for us, and complementary with the tour we did with Luis, the visited districts were not the same, so we had a look as well of the poor parts of Lisbon, as of their history, as of the richer parts. Thank you and Silvia for the wonderful organisation. We recommend !!!
