New Small Group Vip Food And Wine Dinner Tour In Lisbon

My wife, Rebecca, and I spent the afternoon and evening of our 34th wedding anniversary exploring Lisbon with Joana and our dear friends, Mark and Anne. We could not have chosen a more perfect way to celebrate. Joana is insightful, knowledgeable, kind, and wonderfully personable. She brought Lisbon’s history, culture, and food to life, weaving stories into our walk in a way that made us feel connected to the city. The food was delicious, the conversation came easily, and the hours flew by. What made the experience exceptional was Joana herself. There is something special about spending time with someone who makes you feel so welcome and comfortable. Walking with her felt like having a friend introduce us to a city she loves. Her warmth and enthusiasm made an already special occasion even more memorable. We recommend this Eating Europe tour wholeheartedly, and we would absolutely ask for Joana. Thank you, Joana, for an anniversary we will always remember with a smile!

This was a super experience. We visited a part of the city which we might have missed and went to some really nice places which served excellent food and interesting wines - served in a combination of food, pairing and wine tasting. Our guide, Leonor, was highly knowledgeable, super friendly and charming. My only complaint about her would be that her English was better than mine!😉 We would absolutely recommend this and if you choose it, you would do well to request Leonor.

A super evening - we were a group of two couples. Plenty of food served in a series of restaurants and wine bars, all really good quality. Wine pairings and tastings throughout. A great way to take a walk through interesting parts of the city. Our guide, Leonor was knowledgeable, engaging and charming. The only annoying thing was that her command of English was better than mine!! I would definitely recommend the experience and ask for "Leo" if she's available...

This tour was a fun and informative, truly VIP experience. The stops were varied and upscale, the dishes were tasty and inventive, and the guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I have done other food tours and eaten many places in Lisbon, but this gave me a unique experience. I appreciated the theme of Portuguese classics made new. Leonor was a delight, and I look forward trying her other recommendations.

Exploring the food and wine scene in Lisbon with our fabulous guide Amanda was an absolute highlight of our trip. We visited a variety of fun and creative restaurants, each serving outstanding food and wine. Every stop offered something unique, delicious, and beautifully presented. Amanda made the experience even more enjoyable with her knowledge, energy, and warm personality. What a fun experience — highly recommend this tour!

Amanda was attentive and knowledgeable, she made sure that we all had a great time tasting all of the dishes and wine on offer. She was the perfect host!

Our tour with Carlos was absolutely, totally fantastic! We went to the following places: A. Pão de Canela (Cod Ceviche, Bifana, Sparkling Wine from Bairrada Region). B. O Jardim (Peixinhos da Horta, Red Wine from Alentejo). C. Uva Livre Red Wine (Cheese, Olives, Porco Preto Ham) D. A Obra (Orange Wine, Octopus rice, Bolo de Bolacha & Moscatel) Each one was superb. If I had to choose a favorite, it would be the Orange Wine and the Octopus Rice (which I think is risotto). But really, there were all top notch. In addition, the restaurants were all in a fun, not touristy part of Lisbon which you probably wouldn't think to visit if you are here for only a few days. As for Carlos, he was just wonderful. He's very smart, very knowledgeable, and his love for both the food and Lisbon shone through everything. Maybe the only problem with this review is that I'm running out of superlatives, so I'll finish with this: we've taken a number of food tours over the years. This was by far the best. So thank you Carlos and Eating Europe!

Great experience and an amazing tour guide, Amanda was great

We were treated to stops at three local restaurants and one wine bar. Our guide Amanda explained not only the excellent wines we were served, but also explained the various Portugal wine regions using a map. Each stop included one or two hearty and delicious snacks. The wine and snacks were upscale and unique. DELICIOUS very enjoyable! Thank you Amanda!

VIP Progressive in Lisbon with Amanda was a different experience for us. We had done Eating Europe in Rome and Amsterdam and decided to try the progressive dinner tour and were happily surprised with the food. Walking through the hilly Lisbon neighborhoods is what we enjoy in visiting cities and sampling local fare is a great way to learn world culture. We really enjoyed the octopus rice. Thanks Amanda for sharing Lisbon with us.

We had a great time with Camila and Leonor. We loved the pace of the evening with only four stops and a bit more time to enjoy each and chat with our hosts at a relaxed pace.

Amazing experience! Amanda and Leonor were so nice and gave really good insights on Portuguese’s wine, food, culture and history. It was really interesting and - as newly Lisbon residents - we discovered great places where we’ll definitely come back again with friends. Very comprehensive food tour with multiple stops. Carlos was our tour guide and provided a great overview of Portuguese history and food culture.

Camilla was knowledgeable, bubbly, and totally entertaining this evening. This was one of the best food tours we’ve ever experienced. The wine was outstanding and the food in the various restaurants was amazing. We felt welcomed in each venue. The evening was totally enjoyable!

This was an outstanding food tour provided by Eating Europe. It took us off the beaten path and to restaurants far outside the tourist areas. This is definitely something you want to try if you want to be adventurous. Carlos was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable about the restaurants we visited and the food we would be trying. The samples were great. A very decent taste for sure. I read some food tour reviews that said what they got amounted to a single bite or drop of wine. This was not the case for this tour. What was also nice was it was quite small. There were only seven of us and I think the maximum they take is eight. So it was a fantastic size. We also were fortunate to have had a great group of people in our group. We were definitely friends at the end and even made plans with one of the group to meet for a meal a few days later. Do not hesitate to book this food tour. It was well worth it and if you’re fortunate to have Carlos as your guide it’ll be that much better.

Our experience with Eating Europe went beyond our expectations. Amanda shared interesting information about not only the food and wine, but the history behind them, which really added to the tour. I highly recommend one of Eating Europe's tours. (Especially as a first day activity to get the lay of the land.)

Interesting experience in a local neighborhood. Food, drinks , and restaurants were all great. Our guide Carlos was extremely knowledgeable about the local sights and historical info. He was very friendly and made the tour more fun. Live like a local for a bit. Our group was vegetarian and all the restaurants accommodated our diets. Wear comfy shoes , parts were a little hilly.

Your experience restaurants and bars that are not tourist traps. experience One of the highlights is you spend time with the locals and meet the owners of the restaurants. Carlos was an excellent guide and made this an exceptional experience.
