Itinerary
Pass through the Town Gate and travel back in time with your guide, wandering through Obidos'medieval cobblestone streets, whitewashed houses and handicraft shops. After you fall in love with Óbidos, you will have time of your own to taste the famous "ginjinha", a cherry-liqueur served in a chocolate cup. Explore side streets, stairways and hidden corners. Or go up the castle walls, if you feel brave, and enjoy the uplifting views.
Admire the great ocean views from the Nazare cliff! You'll also have free time to enjoy lunch on your own and explore the picturesque fishing town.
You will be guided through the architecture and history of this 14th-century Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Discover the most significant Portuguese Gothic building and birthplace of Manueline architecture. You can choose to see the exterior and the church (free admission) or visit the interior of the monastery (admission not included). If you decide to go inside the monastery (optional), you will see a highly original, national Gothic style that evolved, profoundly influenced by Manueline art.

Luis was very helpful and informative. I would recommend him to others. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.
Our group of six had a fantastic day out with Sandra, who was knowledgable, helpful and friendly. We enjoyed a perfect mix of sites that shed light on different aspects of Portugese culture and informed us about successive eras in this country’s rich history. I would recommend No Map Tours to anyone looking for an interesting and extremely convenient way to explore this part of Portugal. Our group included children (ages 9 & 12) as well as grandparents (70s) and everyone had a lovely time.
Hands down, this was our best decision to book a private tour with No Map Tours. It was worth every Euro we paid to have a knowledgeable guide pick us up directly from our hotel and take us to each of the sites. Our guide Luis was knowledgeable and kind, making every minute of our journey as comfortable and interesting as possible. Should we find ourselves in Lisbon again, we would definitely book another tour.
