We had originally scheduled another tour that didn’t have enough clients to run, and so Walter welcomed us on his tour. BEST. TOUR. GUIDE. EVER. What a gem of a human - beyond knowledgeable, entertaining, and mindful of cat herding us all together in crowded streets, he kept our jet lagged eyes riveted with stories, and challenged us to think critically about enjoying a city beyond the typical tourist tracks. Can’t recommend him enough.

Kate was an amazing tour guide and the tour was fantastic! She took us all around the city and showed us so many interesting things and told us such interesting information. We learned about the city and about the history of Portugal and about the buildings and many of the landmarks and sites and statues. It was especially interesting to go into the buildings to see the tiles and architecture. Highly recommend this Tours and highly recommend Kate!

Kateryna was the best walking tour guide we’ve had: smart, knowledgeable, and funny. The guide makes or breaks a tour and honestly she was amazing. We did the tour on our first day in Lisbon which I recommend, because it gives a really good overview of the neighborhoods and the history of the city. Kateryna was upfront that there is way too much history and geography to cover in 2.5 hours, but we definitely got our fill. The overview of the earthquake was fascinating and she explained how it impacted the city, both in terms of culture and architecture. A big highlight for me was the cathedral, built in 1147, that survived the earthquake and five major fires over the centuries. Don’t forget to remove your hat before going in! You can see the signs of the damage it sustained in the massive pillars and brickwork. Kateryna spoke of the building being cursed according to legend, and it was definitely spooky inside. We were lucky enough to step inside while a mass was going on. Too many historic details to mention, but they were all told with clarity and humour by our five-star guide. Can’t recommend highly enough. We paid €15 each which was great value for what we got. Met some wonderful people as well - hi Doug and Stacy!

Walter was a very good tour guide, and usually i dont like walking guides but he made me enjoy it, he was very engaging! I would recommend this to a friend anyday, but especially being guided by walter! I also liked the information and history that we learnt throughout too

He was friendly and personable and answered all of our questions. We are only here for one day otherwise I would ask him to give us another tour tomorrow!

We had a wonderful experience with Hi Lisbon Walking Tours on 14 May! It was a fantastic way to explore the beautiful city of Lisboa while learning about its rich history, culture, and hidden gems. The tour started right on time, and our guide, Tiago, was friendly, knowledgeable, and very organized throughout the tour. We were truly shocked and fascinated to hear about the rich and dramatic history of Lisbon, and Tiago shared many interesting stories and local insights that made the city come alive for us. We also really appreciated that he thoughtfully prepared a list of restaurants and cafés for us to visit during our free time, which made exploring Lisbon even more enjoyable. Despite all the famous uphills and downhills of the city of seven hills, the tour was fun, relaxed, and well-paced. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience Lisboa beyond the usual tourist spots!

We did the free walking tour of Baixa-Chiado with Tiago! We had an awesome time. Tiago was from Lisbon and was obviously very passionate about the city. This would be a great tour to do at the start of your trip to Lisbon, as Tiago had lots of great tips about the food, how to get around on Transit, what to see on a day trip, etc. There was less information about the history/landmarks than other tours I did with the same company. However, he was also a Historian, and so was knowledgeable if you asked questions. All in all a great way to become familiar with the downtown area of Lisbon and we had a fabulous time!

We were guided by Kate, who was friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. She showed us some hidden gems and we covered a lot of ground. We enjoyed it so much that we joined her Alfama tour in the afternoon! By the end of the day, we felt that we gained a real understanding of the city. We took the Baixa Chiado tour. It was fantastic! Kleiber's knowledge of the city seemed encyclopaedic, and he was extremely approachable and engaging. A fabulous introduction on our first day in Lisbon.

Not only was she protective about pick pockets for our group but she taught us about varied things , history , the food and Cherry liquor tasting , local politics and when unable to answer a question she sourced information to get it right. I am not a tour lover because I usually can’t hear and see clearly or have much of an attention span. After a distasteful experience over accommodations I didn’t like Lisbon.
