Itinerary
Pick up in hotel and travel to Óbidos.
Stop: Free time Óbidos is a charming medieval town in central Portugal, known for its well-preserved castle walls, cobbled streets, and whitewashed houses adorned with colorful flowers. Once a wedding gift to Queen Urraca in 1210, it became known as the “Town of Queens” and remained part of the royal dowry for centuries. Visitors can stroll through its narrow alleys, explore the historic castle-turned-inn, and enjoy local specialties like the famous Ginjinha de Óbidos—a cherry liqueur often served in a chocolate cup. The town also hosts popular events such as the International Chocolate Festival and the Óbidos Literary Festival, earning it a reputation as a cultural gem.
Travel to Nazaré.
Stop: Free time. Nazaré is a picturesque coastal town in central Portugal, world-renowned for its record-breaking waves and deep-rooted fishing traditions. Perched along the Atlantic, it’s divided into three main areas: the beachside town (Praia), the clifftop village (Sítio), and the inland neighborhood (Pederneira). The town gained international fame thanks to the giant waves at Praia do Norte, where surfers from around the globe—like Garrett McNamara—have ridden waves over 30 meters high. But beyond the surf, Nazaré offers a rich cultural experience: traditional fishing boats, women in seven-layered skirts, and the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazaré, a pilgrimage site with centuries of devotion. It’s a place where natural spectacle meets cultural heritage, making it a must-see for both thrill-seekers and history lovers.
Travel to Aveiro.
Stop: Free time. Aveiro is often called the “Venice of Portugal” thanks to its picturesque canals and colorful moliceiro boats that glide through the city. Located along the Atlantic coast, it’s a vibrant town known for its Art Nouveau architecture, salt pans, and sweet treat ovos moles—a local delicacy made from egg yolks and sugar. Historically, Aveiro developed around its lagoon, the Ria de Aveiro, which has long supported fishing and salt production. Today, it’s also a university city with a youthful energy and a growing reputation for innovation and sustainability. Whether you're strolling along the canal-side promenades, admiring tiled façades, or enjoying a boat ride, Aveiro offers a perfect blend of tradition, charm, and modern flair.

We had an amazing experience with João Jesus. He has a vast amount of knowledge about this beautiful country and a gift in sharing it. We learned so many details we would not have known otherwise. We had an outstanding lunch that he recommended and made reservation for. We laughed a lot, learned a lot and ate the best food. The whole process was seamless with all the details covered. Would highly recommend traveling with João Jesus to anyone that wants to have an unforgettable experience.
Truly an exciting day visiting 3 very different Portuguese towns, Óbidos, Nazaré and Fatima. All gave us different insights to Portuguese history and culture. Leo was amazing guide. Car very new and comfortable. It would have been a huge mistake to catch the train as suggested by travel agent. Day to remember.
A fantastic day we had with Anna! Pickup in Lisbon to our drop off in Porto went smoothly. The stops at Fatima, Óbidos, Nazaré and Aveiro were timed well with enough time to explore and not feeling rushed. Anna was a font of interesting information. Her driving was exceptional. A great day and a great way for us to experience a few of Portugals city in a short amount of time.
Alfredo Silva was a magnificent tour guide and driver during our Lisbon to Porto excursion. It was like having family show us the beautiful Obidos, Nazare and Fatima sites. He was very passionate about his beautiful country and made us fall in love with it as well. We highly recommend Alfredo!
We had a great experience with Leo showing us the best of Portugal while providing transportation from Lisbon to Porto, highly recommend!
This tour is very flexible, it stopped at 4 towns between Lisbon and Porto: Obidos, Nazare, Fatima and Aveiro. Our driver, Joāo was fantastic sharing hostory, information and tips aling the way. Excellent tour!!!
Ricardo was our guide and he was on time and extremely helpful. Ricardo took us and showed us a lot of nice places and spoke very good English. He is an amazing guide.
Great experience! Excellent driver!!! Nelson is one of a kind! I would recommend him and the company to anyone without any hesitation!
Our Lisbon to Porto Private drive was absolutely wonderful! Ana was wonderful! She was so nice, professional and courteous. She was very informative and went completely out of her way to ensure that we had everything that we needed and to visit certain places, at our stop that were a must. Our first stop was Obidos, and it was amazing. The Ginja was so good! There is fabulous little Chocolate shop called The Chocolate House-AMAZING! If you go, you have to go by the Chocolate House. Our second stop was Fatima. I have been dreaming of visiting Fatima for many years. Ana was so gracious, respectful and understanding of my faith. I am a very faithful Catholic and being able to visit Fatima, was an overwhelming spiritual experience for me. She explained each building in detail, when we arrived and then she let us go, and spend as much time as we needed. I am very grateful to her for that. She set up a place for lunch, and after that we continued on to Porto. The drive was very smooth and comfortable. Once we arrived in Porto she recommended places that we should definitely visit, and even sent links on places to eat and go. It was just so nice of her and she did not need to go out of her way, the way she did. I highly recommend this experience, and highly recommend Ana! You will not be disappointed! Jennie & Greg
Wonderful experience with Miguel . Obidos and Nazare were exceptional and he gave us such great recommendations
Very good experience the tour guy was very familiar with the cities and very friendly. I recommend it
Antonio was a great driver very friendly and helpful throughout our trip. Loved seeing Fatima & Nazare
Ana picked us up at our hotel in Lisbon right on time. From the time we got into the car she was so informative, answered questions, & kept us completely comfortable. Our first stop was in Óbidos and what a lovely place. The castle, the churches, the people, & of course the Ginja. There is a Chocolate shop there called The Chocolate House. It is beyond amazing. The chocolate just melts in your mouth. Then we were went to Fátima. Ana was so knowledgeable & explained the importance of each structure and then let us be on our own. Being Catholic, this was a dream of mine to be able to spend time in such a Holy place, with the Holy Mother. It was an overwhelming spiritual experience. We had lunch and then off to Porto! On our way to Porto, we told her we wanted to do a Port & Wine tour. She set it all up for us. Ana is so gracious and wonderfully pleasant. We felt very fortunate to have her as our driver and guide. If you can request her, we highly recommend her. Thank you for making our day, Ana!
Jose was a great driver! We were 4 jet lagged friends who wanted to get between cities and experience some other parts of the country. He planned 2 great stops, was super helpful in explaining what we were seeing, providing maps and made reservations at an excellent lunch spot for us. He was so thoughtful and took great care to ensure we had a wonderful day. We would definitely book again!
Jose was prompt, courteous, and a wonderful guide. We stopped in Obidos and Nazare on the way from Lisbon to Porto. He was very patient with us and allowed us plenty of time at each location without feeling rushed. He made our trip so much better than if we had just tried to navigate ourselves.
Ana was amazing!!! A perfect day!!! Highly recommend her and this company!!!!
João was an enthusiastic host! He was a wealth of information about the region through which we traveled and the history of Portugal. The stops were timed well and valuable experiences.
Lawrence was a gentleman and a personable tour guide. He was organized and easy to communicate with on our trip. Would definitely recommend him.
I traveled with my parents and my child, and thanks to João, our trip was so comfortable and enjoyable. We chose just two stops, Óbidos and Fátima, and we never felt rushed. We had plenty of time to enjoy and explore both places. João explained the highlights, the best routes, and the background stories in detail, which made the day much richer than if we had gone on our own. We were a bit scattered during our trip and ran into a few troubles, but he was always happy to help, and everything worked out. Because of him, Portugal will stay in our memories as a truly warm place. My English isn't fluent, but he was easy to understand, so I highly recommend him even to people who don't speak English well (a translation app works fine too!). I will definitely recommend João to anyone I know who is traveling to Porto!
Great way to transport from Lisbon to Aveiro with 4 stops Our driver, Victor, suggested a small Ginja farmer in Obidos, a fantastic lunch/beach tour of Nazara And very enjoyable ride to our destination in Aveiro. I highly recommend this transport.
This tour was highly recommended by family that visited Portugal a little over a year ago. We specifically asked for the same tour guide. Ricardo Casais was absolutely amazing! He was friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. He arrived at our hotel a half hour early but didn’t make us feel rushed to leave before we could grab coffee and a little bite for the ride. We began our journey with our first stop in Óbidos, a fascinating medieval town. Next up was Nazaré, a beautiful oceanside town, where we walked around, taking in the sights before heading to a spectacular lunch at Pangeia (a restaurant recommended by Ricardo where he made us a reservation) and loved everything about it, including the fact that it was across the street from the beach! The last town we stopped in was Aveiro. We took a great boat tour of this interesting place and were given lots of history. We headed the rest of the way to our final destination in Porto. Throughout the day, Ricardo took photos for us and provided us with tons of interesting history and fun information about all of the areas we hit and his beautiful homeland! We cannot recommend this tour enough. It was our FAVORITE day!
It was wonderful informative enjoyable We loved our guide Everything was just perfect and we would highly recommend it
Our guide Ricardo drove us from Lisbon to Porto and it was one of the best days of our trip. He was friendly from the start, wonderful with our kids — he even bought them dessert — and we never felt rushed anywhere. At every stop he took the time to explain the history of each place we visited, which made the whole day so much more interesting. Comfortable van, smooth driving, and a genuinely kind guide. We'd book with him again in a heartbeat.
Fantastic drive, punctuated by magical stops! António/Tommy Guitar also shared his wonderful music en route! Great restaurant suggestion in Nazare (best clams on earth)
This tour was the perfect way to travel from Lisbon to Porto. Our driver/guide, Leo Goncalves, was professional, friendly, and full of great information about his country and our specific stops. Our first stop was in Obidos, an impressive and beautiful fortress town from the 4th century. The village enclosed within the fortress is lovely. Leo told us the history of Obidos and gave us good directions so that we could wander around on our own. Perfect! Our second stop was Fatima. The Sanctuary and Basilica at Fatima are both beautiful and inspirational. It is a living testament to the miracle which took place here. Again, Leo taught us about the significance of Fatima and allowed us plenty of time to drink it all in. Our third stop was in Aveiro, “the Venice of Portugal.” Leo brought us to a lovely restaurant for lunch, Solar do Bacalhau. He then took us to the dock for a wonderful boat ride through some of the canals. We finished our journey in Porto. In the car and, later by text, Leo gave us insight into the city, as well as tips on sights to see and good restaurants. This was the perfect way to spend a day traveling to Porto. I highly recommend it and make sure to ask for Leo.
We had a great experience traveling from Sintra to Porto. We had 4 stops including Fatima. Our guide Leo was fantastic and knows a lot about the different stops. Leo made the most out of each stop. The company communicates well and confirms all the details. We had a couple special requests they accommodated for us.
From our initial messaging to drop off, João was responsive, knowledgeable, and entertaining. We thoroughly enjoyed our stops from Lisbon to Porto. We were able to customize our tour based on his input as well as recommendations for our stay in Porto. The car and drive was clean and comfortable. The value of this tour cannot be emphasized enough - well worth it and best way to see the sights from Lisbon to Porto!!!
This was a terrific way to get from Lisbon to Porto, allowing us to see some of the intermediate sites and visit more of Portugal. Our driver / guide, Joseph, was knowledgeable and respectful of timing and allowing us free time at each stop.
I had a great day with Driver Leo. He gave us a comfortable drive and was a very knowledgeable guide as well. We made three stops at Obidis, Nazare, and Coimbra on the way to Porto. Visiting each city was a great experience. I recommend this tour to everyone. Thanks, Leo.
Had a wonderful day with Felipe traveling to Porto with stops in Obidos, Fatima, and Aveiro! We walked along castle walls, saw the home and origins of the blessed shepherd children, and took a gondola tour! We had a lovely local Portugese style lunch at Gzus in Fatima of feijoada stew and sangria! Felipe helped us plan our day and provided several options for things to fill our time once in Porto! This was a lovely way to spend the day and learn more about the beautifully diverse country of Portugal!
We left at 7:30 to head to Porto. Our first stop Obidos was not busy at all We walked the fort walls which was a bit scary for me. A lot of stores were not open yet. 2nd stop was Aveiro which we did a ride on the boat. It was $15 dollars each. Then we headed to Porto which was amazing. Not worth the $700. I could have taken a train. Great memories
This was an excellent way to travel between Lisbon and Porto! We enjoyed our 2 stops and our guide Jose was a super guide and very safe driver!
A very good way to go from Lisbon to Porto and get to see many sights along the way! A very flexible itinerary and zero stress.
My husband and I took a tour from Lisbon to Porto and stopped in Fátima, Aveiro, and Nazaré. Our driver, Alfredo, was exceptional and did a wonderful job at offering us opportunities to see the sights, take more scenic routes, hook us up with tours, and made us fabulous reservations with a view for lunch! Absolutely could not recommend him more highly, if you’re making the trip from Lisbon to Porto, this is definitely the way to go!
Worth every cent and minute spent with Lawrence our guide and driver.
Good trip from Lisbon to Porto. Three stop itinerary with Interesting stops and great guidance by Ana.
Ana was wonderful! We had a great day exploring various beautiful towns and Ana and her friendly professionalism and knowledge was the true highlight! Would recommend as a great way to transfer between cities.
We had a great experience traveling from Sintra to Porto. We had 4 stops including Fatima. Our driver and guide, Leo, made the ride and the experience fantastic. He knows a lot about each stop, including some tips to make the most out of the stop. The company communicated well to confirm our request would be accommodated.
Great your and the guide was amazing - super knowledgeable- Ricardo!! Thank you for an amazing day!!
My wife and I had originally planned to take the train from Lisbon to Porto but came across this tour. WOW, what a good decision we made. We were picked up at our Lisbon hotel and dropped off at our Porto hotel. We stopped at 3 towns during the tour and the choices of where to go were very flexible. We never felt rushed and our guide/driver, Nelson, was very knowledgeable. His English was excellent too so it was easy to have good conversation during the trip. The cost may be more than you would like but you will remember this tour long after you have forgotten the cost ;-)
We had a wonderful day with Leo. Excellent driver and wonderful guide. We made two stops along the way from Lisbon to Porto. Leo made sure we saw all the sights. Made it a very pleasurable learning experience.
The best way to get from Lisbon to Porto. All four stops were worth the price especially Fatima. Our guide was pleasant and knew the area. Definitely the way to go b

This was a wonderful way to see Portugal, we spent the day with Antonio (our driver/guide), visiting multiple cities from Lisbon to Porto. Antonio was born in Portugal and was very knowledgeable about all the places we visited. I can't say enough about how professional, personable and gracious Antonio made our experience through this area of Portugal a day to remember.
Excellent experience with Leo! He was right on time, shared lots of interesting stories about Portugal and recommended a great restaurant for lunch. Highly recommend!
Had an absolutely fantastic tour. João Araújo was our guide and he was one of the best guides we have ever traveled with. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and an excellent driver! We never felt rushed on the trip and he provided very informative commentary the entire drive. We started in Lisbon, visited Fatima, Nazare, Aviero, and finished in Porto. He even followed up with us in the days after the tour to see how we were enjoying the rest of our trip in Portugal and to recommend spots and restaurants in Porto that we should visit !
