Lisbon Surf Experience

Bruno was on time, took our small group to the coast, gave us thorough instructions, and then helped us out in the water the whole time. The wetsuits provided made the water comfortable. I was traveling and felt very safe. I would highly recommend this surf experience!

Half a day of surfing was very well spent! My kids really enjoyed it, and the waves were good enough for complete beginners. The instructors were friendly and helpful, and the pick-up and transport were very well organised. Overall, a great experience for the whole family. Highly recommended!

A perfect first surfing experience! I was a complete beginner (and honestly pretty clumsy!), but the instructors were patient, encouraging, and incredibly helpful throughout the lesson. The pickup and drop-off in the city center made everything so easy and convenient. The price is also very reasonable, especially if you’re trying surfing for the first time. It’s also incredibly solo traveler-friendly. I was honestly surprised by how comfortable everyone made me feel—there wasn’t a single awkward moment, and the whole group had such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. I couldn’t recommend this experience more. I really hope I can come back the next time I’m in Lisbon—and hopefully do a little better next time! 😂

Felipe and Bruno were awesome! Such a fun time and they really taught us helpful techniques for surfing. We also booked transportation to and from the beach and they gave us a lot of great facts and history of Lisbon. Felt safe and comfortable with them, was a great experience and worth it!

Simultaneously exhausting and exhilarating, this was one of my most favorite experiences to date. This was my first time attempting to surf and they make it as easy as possible for you to ride the waves and get a lot of attempts. I’m happy to say I was able to get up and I think most in the group did at least once as well. The guys were all super friendly and helpful and the beach they took us to was really incredible, even in the fog, it was unlike anything I’ve seen really. I went solo and felt safe and comfortable the entire time. Highly recommend!

My Partner and I had the most amazing time. Our first time surfing and it was great, Bruno was incredibly patient and insightful and gave lots of tips on other places to see in Lisbon! Would highly reccomened.

One of the best things to do in Portugal! Bruno was amazing! From picking us up, teaching us and helping us stand on the board and dropping us off. He was amazing. Over all 10/10 experience! I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Spend the money to have friendly professional teachers teach you how to do it right. We were fortunate enough to get squared up with Nuno, who was a blast! Helpful information along the way, positive attitude and great technique tips, and spoke English to me because I'm dumb and speak only one language. The whole crew was super nice and efficient, a ten star experience if you have no idea where or how to surf while in the greater Lisbon area. Even if you do there's something to learn and it's an afternoon well spent!

I had the worst experience of my life. Ruined the day and service was not provided. I've never experience anything like this ever. Worst worst experience ever. Do not recommand. Save your time and money.

Absolutely loved my time with Filipe and his crew! I felt so relaxed surfing with them, they were so friendly and welcoming! Going on my own, I felt immediately comfortable with all the coaches, and the beach was absolutely perfect for beginners! When I got back to Lisbon in a couple of months, I will definitely have some more lessons with the Get Stoked team

Miguel, our surf instructor, was a blast. Loved his energy and his knowledge of Portugal and it's history. The surfing lesons were great, he took time for every single surfer and kept encouraging everybody. We also had good luck with weather, it was a sunny day in between rainy ones.

I had the chance to try surf few years ago, and i have miserably failed. But not this time, out of 12 attempts i managed to stand 4. Not bad at all :D And this was thanks to the instructors who were amazing mentoring and guiding you. They try to correct what you are doing wrong in the water but always in a respectful way that you dont feel pressured nor ashamed if you won't be succesfull. Props to the instructors Nuno and Miguel who are very easy to get along with and great fun. Can't say anything about the other schools, but i will book it again with this one

I highly recommend surfing with Get Stoked to anyone with time in Lisbon! The guides were amazing and very knowledgeable about not only surfing but Lisbon and Portugal in general. They are more than happy to share their knowledge too!

Everything was organised nicely. The meeting point was easy to find and the transfer from Lisbon was comfortable. Surfboards looked new and instructors were friendly. I would definitely recommend this experience.

We had a really great time!! We went in a big group of buddies and one other couple (my husband and I) I love the ocean and my husband tolerates, but with a wet suit he had a much better time. Everyone is fitted for a wetsuit and we were in the water for a long time. It was so much fun. We learned safety and ideal stance and then were off! There were 2 instructors who were so friendly and observant to help make corrections. So. Much. Fun!

Miguel is a good teacher, worth trying and you won’t regret it. The beach is nice and clean, had a good day there

First time ever surfing and it will probably be the best time. Nuno, Filipe, and Miguel are all great instructors.

We’ve had an amazing experience this day! The experience already began in the car with a lot of tips for the stay in the city. The surfing lessons itself were really instructive. We had no experience but learned a lot and had a lot of fun.

We did the 8hr surf experience with Miguel, who was excellent. We had essentially no experience before hand and he was able to teach us the basics while making it a fun experience. Miguel was very knowledgeable about Lisboa and its history, he gave us lots of great tips too! He also had impeccable taste in music! Haha. Would highly recommend!

Amazing experience! Instructors were patient and understanding. They took us to a beautiful beach and provided all the gear needed.

The guys picked us up and drove us around 20 minutes to the beach, chatting with us on the way. When we got there they got us wetsuits and surf boards before doing a few warm ups and some basic lessons. The surf instructors were fantastic, always there to give pointers or help catch a wave. You get a really good amount of time on the waves and the shots the photographer get make you look a lot better than you are. Huge thanks to the guys for the day, from the 9 Irish and American lads on the stag party.

nuno picked me and my cousin up and then drove us to the beach together with a few others. Already on the way there he got you so enthusiastic about surfing and you immediately felt that it was his passion. And he didn't promise too much - the experience was just breathtaking!! You can also contact Nuno via Whatsapp about good places to visit and must-sees. It is an absolute recommendation and you are in the best of hands with the boys!

Nuno the instructor was excellent, knew his stuff and really cared we had a great experience. Had my 12 year old lad standing up on his first surf lesson. Could not recommend more highly.
