Wonderful tour, Ariana was great and knowledgeable. She really had to put up with a lot from our group so very kind as well :) We experienced some very authentic restaurants and cuisines and learned little tips like how to spot a historical business. Very much recommend!

Reviews
This is a small, family owned tour company. One of the owners, Ariana, was our guide and she was absolutely delightful! Fun, Vibrant, engaging, and knowledgable about the area and the food. This is a great way to experience the local foods and eateries with a local guide. I highly recommend.
Great tour, informative funny and plenty to eat (and drink).
Great for tour, I would definitely recommend it! The guide was very friendly and made sure that everyone was having a good time. The food choices were great and the drinks as well.
This was a great add to our trip. The guide was knowledgeable and very kind. The pace was perfect and our stops allowed us to taste the best of the typical Portuguese favorites. Great information about the city, it's history and people as well.
Ariana was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and fun. Food/drinks were great. We experienced some hidden gems that we would have never found together with lots of local knowledge which we explored the following g day. Great value
My husband and I joined two younger women for the food and wine tour with Sergio, the Lisbon Guy. We did not know what to expect and were extremely pleased with the tour. Sergio told us many historical facts as we walked from place to place and all were located close to Rossi Square. The information said we would sample many types of drinks and food and we had an amazing variety. We would never have been able to do this by ourselves. We certainly enjoyed every stop and had such a fun time. I highly recommended this tour as it is quite the original Portuguese experience.
A wonderful food experience with our delightful and friendly guide Sergio! We sampled many delicious foods and drinks and learned some history of this robust city! As some of the reviews noted do come hungry, a full meal is included and your taste buds will be happy!
We had the best time !! So much food, we all enjoyed to variety of foods and learned so much about the history and culture of Lisbon.
Sergio was great. This tour surpassed my expectations. Food and drink were so good and plenteous. Do not miss this tour. There were only 4 of us so that made it even better.
Great food tour. Arianna was so much fun. She was informative and easy to talk to. All the food and wine was fabulous. It was my birthday so she surprised me by having the restaraunt bring out a dessert and sing happy birthday. Great experience and way to see part of the city and learn the culture.
Good fun, interesting history of the city and simple but differentiated food offerings, all very local and traditional, with lots of alcohol thrown in.
Ariana was an engaging and entertaining guide. We had an enjoyable evening exploring parts of Lisbon and discovering items of food and drink we would not otherwise have experienced. Plenty to eat and drink in the company of other like-minded guests. Recommended.
My wife and I joined four fellow travellers from the U.Sand Canada. The food was delicious and the craic amazing
Sergio was a fabulous host. There was plenty of food and Lisbon history as a bonus.
This was a wonderful tour! Margarita was a great tour guide. I learned a lot and ate a lot of great food!
We had an absolutely amazing time with Sergio, who is knowledgeable, friendly, and has excellent taste in food. He made everyone feel welcome and was able to give us many insights into the food of Lisbon, and some of its history. The tour was well paced, not too strenuous, and covered a good variety of food! I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Lisbon.
Wonderful host, very informative and excellent choices on the stops along our food adventure. Highly recommend this tour you won’t be disappointed
One of the joys of travel is trying new, delicious, interesting kinds of food. What makes that even better is having those meals paired with a guide who can tell you more about what you’re eating, how it’s prepared, and why it’s important to that place. That was our experience with the Lisbon Guy. We were met by our guide, Sergio, at the Praca da Rossio and immediately whisked off to sample a staple of Portuguese cooking, Pasteis de Bacalhau - deep fried cod and potato dumplings. We munched on these while Sergio started telling us the history of of Lisbon, of the rebuilding after the earthquake/tsunami/fire in 1755, about the tavern we were sitting in, and even how to make these Pasteis. The tour continued like that, a mix of history, culture, food, and why each particular item was chosen for the tour. We went to places we would never have noticed and enjoyed a very filling lunch. Overall a great way to get oriented to Lisbon~
Thank you, Ariana, for the engaging and relaxing tour of Portuguese food and beverages, strolling the cobblestone alleys of Lisboa Centro, feeling happier and happier with every food bite and alcohol sample! Our small group of 6 people was of perfect size, sparkling vivid conversations and leaving behind the feeling of long-ago friendships.
We had soo much fun doing this tour with Arianna! She was knowledgeable, hilarious and the food was 10/10. We left completely full. Would definitely recommend 😊
A great tour with lots of delicious food and drinks to try. The cherry liquor and cod fish cakes were a highlight. Our guide Ariana was very good at connecting the food and history together as well as suggesting other foods and places to try out while in Lisbon. The dinner at the end of the tour was excellent- make sure you’re hungry before you start the tour. Plenty of food and not too much walking.
Cannot emphasize enough the GREATNESS OF THIS TOUR & its GUIDE!
Personable guide, food was good. Minimal walking
An amazing balanced tour taking us thru the city on an incredible culinary experience. Each destination was chosen with great care, having cultural and historical significance along with unmatched passion from our guide!
Sergio was an excellent guide, full of information, answered all of our questions, took us to places not listed in the guide books. I would highly recommend this tour.
Definitely enjoyed this tour! It was a great way to start the vacation. We got to try some different foods and visit some local spots. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared lots of interesting insights and neat little facts about Lisbon. Recommend this tour as a fun way to get introduced to the city!
Great tour! Recommend doing the day you arrive in Lisbon to get a good idea of the town.
Great experience with the best guide. He was knowledgeable and friendly and the evening exceeded all expectations. The food was also as good as the guide. This is a must do in Lisbon.
Food and wine tour with Sergio went way above our expectations. Local food places were phenomenal, would highly recommend this tour, value was well worth every penny. Delicioso !!
It was a fab experience would recommend the Lisbon Guy if coming here. Our guide was very helpful and knowledgeable and food was lovely
We had cod fritters, ham, sausage and meal of cod fish/potatoes and a seafood stew. Also cherry liqueur and paste de Natale. Pace felt slow and not much info exchanged. Nothing bad but nothing memorable. The desert was not at the two major bakeries and was just ok.
Our guide was great and she gave us heaps of information through the tour. The group size was small and great to chat to others. The food we tried was lovely but not exceptional and a couple of the places felt touristy and just aimed at large groups.
Great way to sample Portugal food & wine in addition to get great history info on Lisbon. Doing this in small group is fun too.
We loved our food tour! Sergio was a knowledgeable guide and we learned a lot about the food of Portugal and history of it. The places we visited were well selected and we wouldn’t have found them by ourselves. The quality of the food was really good too. The size of the group was perfect and there was a very friendly atmosphere. The duration of the tour was also perfect.
The Lisbon Guy is just the best! For starters, he is simply an outstanding tour guide with many years experience in Lisbon and Rome. He is personable and totally enthusiastic about the city he grew up in and it's amazing cuisine. The walking tour covered a full meal with six stops. Along the way he provided loads of historical information as well as the reasons why he selected the restaurants we experienced for each course. It was obvious he had developed a relationship with the restaurateurs who welcomed us on a busy Saturday in spite of many others waiting for seats. The walking was very easy and we were seated in at least four of the venues. The introduction to the uniquely Portuguese green wine, ginjou, and peri peri sauce was special and the story of the Portuguese love of cod was enlightening. If you want a food tour in Lisbon, do it with The Lisbon Guy!!
This was a great small group experience with so much delicious food and drinks! We would definitely recommend!
A great way to experience old traditional establishments and unique Portuguese food and drink in great company. Our guide was a perfect hostess with lots of interesting background on everything we ate.
Great tour , lots of local food and information by the tour guide/ owner of the company. All close to the meeting point so not too much walking.
Our guide Arianna(?) was amazing! She had just the right personality for this type of tour. Loved hearing about the food history and loved that she took us to very historic places that we never would have found on our own. Wish we had done this 1 st night rather than last night in Lisbon! Highly recommend 😊
It was great! Loved that it wasn't a big group and that we visited smaller authentic places
Sergio was amazing, warm, funny and so welcoming. We did an easy walk (very little hills) to some great restaurants, pubs and bakeries to enjoy absolutely delicious food. Our group was so fun as well. The tour was very organized and I was sad when it was over. Would definitely recommend!! Do the 4:30pm tour and it’s a perfect dinner!
This tour is an amazing way to sample true, authentic Portuguese cuisine. Arianna (our guide)took us to wonderful restaurants (some of which are off the beaten path and appear to be free of tourists) that served the finest food that we experienced in our 10 day tour of Portugal. Arianna is knowledgeable and friendly and truly made the experience memorable.
This tour was fantastic! We were able to try so much iconic food and drink from Lisbon while still discovering the less famous ones. We got little tastes of history along the way as well and the walk was very easy considering how hilly Lisbon can be. Thanks Sergio!
We had an amazing tour with Sergio, he was fun and full of knowledge. We had a family of 8 adults and two babies, so to have a tour for our group alone was very special. The food and drinks were incredible, and nothing that we have experienced before and probably wouldn’t without this trip. Everything was nice and close so not long walking between spots even with little children. Would recommend everyday, do yourself a favour!
A fantastic experience. The tour lasted just over two hours which was perfect. Our guide, Sergio, was extremely knowledgeable, outgoing and a lot of fun! He’s very proud of being from Lisbon and it definitely shows in the tour. He took us to a great mix of places for phenomenal food and drinks. Highly recommend!
We booked our food tour with The Lisbon Guy and were greeted by Arianna and the rest of our group in a public square called Praça do Rossio. Our group consisted of my wife, myself, and four other travelers. Having a small group made it much easier to get to know the others and ask Arianna any questions we had. Arianna was such a great guide! She was friendly and very knowledgeable about Portuguese history and cuisine. She clearly was passionate about teaching about culture through food. We really enjoyed even just talking with her at the various restaurants. It’s also cool that she and her partner co-founded The Lisbon Guy. Lastly, the food! We stopped at 5-6 different establishments and got to eat lots of good food, and tasty drinks. You will not leave hungry! It was very cool to hear about the history of each establishment and the dishes themselves. We felt that it was a really great way to experience Lisbon. We'd highly recommend! Support a small business!
This tour is a really nice introduction to Portuguese food. Ariana walks you through the neighbourhoods and explains the history behind the dishes you try. The walking isn't too much and mostly level ground. Definitely come with an empty stomach.
We had a lovely time on the food tour! Excellent guide, great stops and fun with new friends. Would definitely recommend.
3 hour food wine and spirit tour trialling local cuisine . Led by Ariane snd George. Friendly, knowledgeable guides who took us to local restaurants and vendors to try a range of local dishes. Chatty and friendly they got the whole group talking to eachother , even those who were travelling on their own. Thank you for the guidance and the welcome , very much appreciated
