Wonderful tour exploring areas of Lisbon through food, often areas we would not otherwise have seen. Excellent guide (Luis), excellent itinerary, great mix of experiences, lots of culture and some history, everything a food tour should be and more. Highly recommended.

We have been on many city food tours, but this was among the very best. Our guide Raquel was excellent - knowledge, friendly and adaptable to our needs. The length of the tour was perfect and the range of food sufficiently broad.
Wow! This was a culinary and history lesson delight! Our guide, Daniel, approached our small group with respect, humor, grace, and an incredible amount of knowledge. He kept us moving, but in such a relaxed and casual way. He intuitively picked up on our interests and added an unexpected stop. He presented his own country with an incredible amount of global respect, all while making some very poignant comments, somehow while staying away from politics. Five stars for Daniel!
Daniella is so passionate about her city and culture. She is full of knowledge, details, and knows everyone. We learned a lot about Lisbon and it’s history.
Raquel was fantastic. Knowledgeable, kind, information, great pace and easy to follow. She is a true professional and a great sense of humor. We would recommend her highly to anyone in Lisbon wanting a tour.
This is a great tour. Our guide, Daniella, was super friendly and full of interesting facts and stories. She is a local and knows the area really well. The food was great and we visited places we wouldn't have otherwise done. My teenagers loved it.
We had a spectacular food tour with Danny! He was knowledgeable, funny, informed, delightful, and we had so much fun, learned alot and ate great food.
The guide, Danny was excellent. Food samples were great. She also told us a lot about why the food is prepared the way it is, and the history of the food and of Portugal.
Excellent tour with Bruno. Learned about Lisbon’s history, got to see some of the city’s sights and sampled various cuisines that are representative of Lisbon and Portugal. Was very well done!
Our leader was Dani, and she was outstanding! Deep knowledge of both the food and history, upbeat, demonstrative!, and charming. We left a water bottle and she took the time to send it to our hotel via Uber. We highly recommend!
Wonderful experience with excellent guide and delicious tastings. Highly recommend!
Luis was a truly excellent tour guide. We learned lots about Portuguese history and culture, as well as the food and drinks we received. It was also a great introduction to the city. The food and drinks were delicious, and the group size was appropriately small. We heartily recommend this tour.
10 out of 10 — an absolutely fantastic tour! This was such a wonderful way to explore Lisbon and get to know the city through its incredible restaurants, charming little food shops, and, of course, its food and culture. Daniel was an exceptional guide and truly made the experience unforgettable. He was incredibly knowledgeable, warm, engaging, and clearly passionate about Lisbon. We learned so much from him — not just about the food, but also about the cultural and historical influences that have shaped the cuisine and the city itself. His stories, insights, and recommendations added so much depth to the experience, and it felt like we were exploring Lisbon with a local friend who knew all the best places. The whole experience was wonderfully organized. Booking online was easy, communication from Taste of Lisbon was excellent, and the meeting point was VERY easy to find. If you’re looking for a fun, authentic, and delicious way to discover Lisbon, I can’t recommend this tour — or Daniel — highly enough! A definite highlight of our time in Lisbon!
I would like to extend our thanks to, Taste of Lisboa and especially to our wonderful guide, Raquel. Raquel not only took us to wonderful, hidden gems to sample delicious food and treats, but she also helped impart deep history and important facts about Portugal, Lisbon and the overall region. Do not try another tour service, Taste of Lisboa should be your only choice!
Food was all delicious. Daniel was an amazing guide- so knowledge about the city and food but also weaved history into the whole day that made the experience more enriching and memorable.
The walking food tour was terrific. In addition to tasting an amazing variety of food, Daniela, our guide was passionate and enthusiastic and full of energy. She made the tour very enjoyable
Raquel was a great guide! She was very friendly and knowledgeable. The varieties of food were excellent. We very much enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend!
Filippa was a warm and wonderful guide very knowledgeable and generous in sharing everything she could about Lisbon and Portuguese food and culture. We had a great time with her and she made us feel comfortable right away. We would definitely recommend this tour as part of your trip to Lisbon
Great tour with delicious food and knowledgeable guide. Loved that they made it easy to include food restrictions.
Luis was a great guide. He is passionate about Portugal and food. He took us to/through out of the way places and it helped us get a better sense of Portugal, it's people, and of course, its food! Thank you, Luis! We highly recommend it.
We had incredible time on our Food Tour. Luis (our tour master)- was extremely knowledgeable, fun, and attentive to our group. We enjoyed learning about the history and culture of Lisbon and visiting places that had historic roots (and seeing areas of the city that we might not have visited otherwise). We enjoyed the diversity of food options and mix of savory/sweet/drinks. This tour does require quite a bit of walking in the summer heat, so recommend good shoes and water!
Wonderful guide!! Great experiencing the local food and culture!
Rick Steves recommends Taste of Lisboa Food tours and he is always right. Daniel our guide was superb. Friendly , told great stories about the food, his life - he could not have been better . We went to an authentic, little old time bar for Ginjinha (great!) with Antonio the owner, walked us through tiny streets and old neighborhoods we would never have known to go to. I can’t say enough about how fun and interesting the tour was. The food tastes were great, varied and interesting . Take this tour and try to get Daniel!
Dani was a fabulous guide. She gave us a ton of information and was friendly and personable. My husband and I really enjoyed the tour.
Went with my wife on September 10. Daniel, our tour guide was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about Portuguese food, culture and history. Well worth the money. Highly recommended!!
Our tour was awesome. Dani, our guide was fun, super interactive and provided a lot of history along the way. We were taken to a neighborhood out of the main tourist area which provided us with a more unique experience. The food tastings were good. Quite a bit of fried food. One of us was gluten free and Dani did everything she could to accommodate us.
Raquel was amazing her knowledge and expertise was evident. We enjoyed each tasting and would give her tour a Five Star rating. Food and drink was superb.
Daniel was an incredible guide. This is our second time visiting Portugal and our second food tour. He knocked it out of the park with a refreshing approach to the spots we visited, including truly hyper-local options that felt like a fresh look at a city that's grown in popularity. We brought our baby along, and he was very accommodating to pacing and a joy to spend a few hours with. Wishing him all the best! Perfect guide.
While this was a food tour, it also took us into the Mouraria neighborhood where Fado was born and where I don't believe we would have gone otherwise. It was interesting to spend some time in a quiet residential neighborhood without tourists. Guide Ricardo was very knowledgeable.
We took the tour with Daniela, and it was everything we had hoped for. The food was excellent but for me the highlight was the walk through time in this city. Her knowledge of the city, explanations of events, culture and history and choices of establishments to stop at made it a truly wonderful cultural experience.
Ricardo was a fantastic guide. Really enjoyed each of the stops.
Guide was lovely and well informed. It was a great stroll through the streets of Lisbon sampling traditional foods and port wine. Was a little pricey for the experience.
Danni was a fantastic and enthusiastic tour guide who felt like a friend by the end of the tour. This tour gives a wonderful introduction to Lisbon and Portuguese culture. This is the second time I w ent on the tour because I wanted mu daughter to experience it. If you love food and history and culture then this tour is a must!
thank Dani for a fabulous tour last year ( June 17,2025 . It was the perfect introduction to Lisbon. The our 3 young adult sons loved it as well ! I am sorry I am so delayed but absolutely needed to give our positive review - we had the best time. This tour the highlight of our short visit to Lisbon’s the food / drink selections were amazing . She was a wealth of knowledge about it the culture and history. She had us exploring places we would have otherwise missed if on our own . We booked directly with Filipa the owner who was extremely responsive and helpful . Highly recommend !!!! .
This tour was a perfect blend of fantastic food, local culture, and history of this beautiful city. Our guide Luis was AMAZING!!! We do food tours everywhere we go, and this one was by far the best we have ever taken. The stops on the tour are a well curated collection of popular spots, hidden gems, and places locals go. Ginja with Sr. Antonio in his 7’x10’ bar (ok, this may be the tiniest exaggeration, but not by much!) was a truly unique experience. Do not sleep on this tour provider! They are local to Lisbon, and are way better than a company that operates in multiple cities.
Bruno, was our guide. He delivered a phenomenal experience. Very knowledgeable about the history and food of Portugal. Great recommendation. Learned about the music and more. Not only was it a food tour but we learned a lot about the different neighborhoods and diversity of Lisbon
Worth every cent, it was one of the highlights of our 2 week Portugal trip. Daniela was the most charming, charismatic and passionate guide. I found myself glued to her every word, I could’ve listened to her all day. We signed up for the food but it was the neighborhoods and history lesson that made it so memorable for me. 10/10!
There were 14 of us for a private group tour, and everyone wished the tour would not end! I want to publicly thank you the tour company for scheduling our large group over a holiday weekend. Three other tour groups had initially declined the size and/or did not have staffing for the holiday. Not to imply that staff should work over a national holiday, but it says a lot about the commitment to customer service to be flexible, as well as respond quickly to requests as was done. I also appreciate your timely responses to all of our inquiries and sensitivity to dietary restrictions. Another shout out goes to our guide, Daniela. She could not have been more fantastic! Her academic knowledge and love of the history/cultures of Lisbon was wonderful. She made us feel immersed in the city (and the Portuguese people) during our short time. Lisbon is crowded and to get away from many tourists, yet see some important historical sights (during a food tour) was a gift. The food and drink was excellent in quality and presentation. We did not expect to be so full during a 3 hour tour! Your food tour was unique on so many levels. On behalf of all 14 people in our group, I cannot recommend it enough! Thank you for a memorable experience!
Our guide was excellent, made us feel very comfortable and welcome, he was very knowledgeable and helpful and answered all of our questions as well as giving an excellent tour and information!
Our guide was awesome, knowledgeable and entertaining!
A friend strongly recommended this tour, and it did not disappoint! Daniel was knowledgeable and fun, and provided an excellent melding of food and drinks with background about Portuguese history and culture that placed everything in context. (Daniel was also good about making sure there were vegetarian options for those who didn't eat meat.) There was some uphill stretches (it's Lisbon), but not too strenuous, and lots of shade (but bring water). Our group thought this tour was one of the highlights of the visit!
Really fun! Great guide who provided lots of information - history, culture, music and food! Great tastings, very well planned out.
Dani was a wonderful tour guide (working on her birthday no less), taking us to some delicious off the beaten path places that we never would have found on our own. We learned a lot about the history of Lisbon while enjoying great food at our different stops. This was a great way to explore the city, learn some history, and sample some excellent food. I thought the length of the tour was just right, too. Highly recommend!
Luis educated and enchanted us with culinary and historic delughts. Tasty bites of food, drink and local lore. Fantastic way to get aquainted with Lisbon!
Awesome experience and great food locations. Highly worth it.
Our guide Raquel was so knowledgeable and friendly, it was great to be guided around local spots and experience the food along with being told about all of its historic importance and the connections and culture, Raquel also gave us some wonderful advice on spots to visit. Highly recommend this tour, especially at the start of your trip to lean all of the amazing things you may not otherwise find or experience.
Great way to learn about the history of Lisbon through the food and wine tastings. I didn't realize how Portugal has influenced food in so many way across the globe. Luis was a terrific guide for our walk.
We had a wonderful time on this tour. It was a great small group and was an introduction to Lisbon's food and culture.
Bruno was an outstanding food tour guide and made our time in Lisbon truly memorable. His knowledge of Lisbon’s rich history added so much depth and context to the experience, bringing the city’s neighborhoods and landmarks to life. Beyond the history, Bruno introduced us to a wonderful variety of local foods and took us to interesting spots we never would have discovered on our own. His enthusiasm, expertise, and friendly personality made the tour both educational and delicious. We highly recommend Bruno to anyone looking to experience the authentic flavors and fascinating history of Lisbon.
This was an amazing tour. The food was great but our guide Daniel brought the culture alive and was able to relate it to his families history. The tour was paced nicely and I will do it again if I am lucky enough to return to Lisbon!
