It was a lovely morning on the boat. Staff were friendly. Would definitely do the tour again.. Left on time and a good way to see Lisbon from the river.

Itinerary
The Praça do Comércio is a large, harbor-facing plaza. Facing the Tagus (Tejo) to the South, the plaza is still commonly known in Portuguese as Terreiro do Paço. After the 1755 earthquake, the plaza was completely remodeled as part of the rebuilding of the Pombaline Downtown. From the 19th century onwards, Praça do Comércio became the seat of some of the most important Portuguese state departments.
From its inauguration on 6 August 1966 up to 1974, the bridge was named Salazar Bridge. After the Carnation Revolution, which overthrew the remnants of Salazar's regime, the bridge was renamed for April 25, the date of the revolution. It is also commonly called the Tagus River Bridge. The 25 de Abril Bridge is based in part on two San Francisco Bay Area bridges. Its paint is the same International Orange color as the famous Golden Gate Bridge, and its design is similar to that of the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge. Both the Bay Bridge and the 25 de Abril Bridge were built by the same company.
MAAT is a cultural project for the city of Lisbon that is focused on three areas - Art, Architecture, and Technology. The €20m museum sits on the River Tagus to the west of the city center, and is "one of Europe's most lyrical new museums". It establishes a connection between the new building and the Tejo Power Station. The museum is designed by Amanda Levete Architects.
Tejo Power Station is one of Portugal's most prominent examples of industrial architecture from the first half of the 20th century, and one of the most visited museums in the country.
The monument was conceived in 1939 by Portuguese architect José Ângelo Cottinelli Telmo, and sculptor Leopoldo de Almeida, as a temporary beacon during the Portuguese World Exhibition opening in June 1940. The permanent Monument was built to celebrate the fifth centennial of the death of Infante Henry the Navigator, in 1960.
The monastery is one of the most prominent examples of the Portuguese Late Gothic Manueline style of architecture in Lisbon. It was classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, along with the nearby Tower of Belém, in 1983.
Belém Tower, officially the Tower of Saint Vincent, is a 16th-century fortification located in Lisbon that served as a point of embarkation and disembarkation for Portuguese explorers and as a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon. It was classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983.
The Bugio Lighthouse is situated on an island in the estuary of the River Tagus on the Fort of São Lourenço do Bugio.
The Sanctuary of Christ the King is a Catholic monument and shrine dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ overlooking the city of Lisbon situated in Almada. The figure of Christ, comparable to the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, forms a cross, with its arms extended out facing the city of Lisbon as if to embrace the city.
São Jorge Castle is a historic castle that stands on a hill that has played an important part in the history of Lisbon. Since the 12th century, the castle has variously served as a royal palace, a military barracks, home of the Torre do Tombo National Archive, and now as a national monument and museum. Alfama, the oldest district of Lisbon, spreads down the southern slope from the Castle of São Jorge to the River Tagus. Its name, derived from the Arabic Al-hamma, means fountains or baths. While the 1755 Lisbon earthquake caused considerable damage throughout the capital, Alfama survived with little damage. The Mouraria, or Moorish quarter, is one of the most traditional neighborhoods of Lisbon, although most of its old buildings were demolished by the Estado Novo between the 1930s and the 1970s. It takes its name from the fact that after the reconquest of Lisbon, the Muslims who remained were confined to this part of the city.

The meeting point is very easy to find. On the water to the left of the Parco do Comércio. We arrived about 30 mins before we were due to sail. You have to swap the Trip Advisor voucher for an actual boat ticket, the boat kiosk is in the same building as the on the tourist office/ and waiting area, it is next to the public toilets. The boat has lots of seating but the outside top deck is limited. Our ticket included a drink, which we didn’t get chance to have as we were too busy taking in the sights but believe the choice was tea, coffee, water or orange juice. The boat is a bit dated and the audio a bit annoying as it kept cutting out and I had to manually select the options. The tour lasted about 1hr 40mins and gives an excellent alternate view of the many famous sights. We thought the value for money was very good and would recommend.
The river boat cruise started off poorly by starting 20 minutes late. We waited at the gate in the line of others until 11:30 to be let down to the boat. Zero communication. Also the free drink on board is water, tea, coffee or orange juice just for clarification
Generally good value and gave a good tour of the river plenty of seating
It does what it says it will do, with attentive staff The journey is a good timescale with enough sights of Lisbon to keep you focused
What a wonderful evening sunset cruise. The captain and his mate were gracious hosts. They went above and beyond to ensure their passengers enjoyed the experience. The weather was amazing and the sunset was incredible. Thank you Rent a Boat!
Boat was hot, information was spotty, kind of boring. App was gliching, difficult to hear, I think there are better options out there. Didn't see all that much, just a few things from both ways
Okay at the price. No frills. One small glass of Muscadet.
Lovely leisurely cruise along the Tagus River with outstanding views of Lisbon. Easy communications.
I was a little underwhelmed sadly. Limited space outdoors, inside was stifling as some windows would not open. The boat certainly needed some TLC. The free alcoholic drink was not enjoyable and sadly you cannot take food on the trip, and considering our trip was at dinner time the menu limited.
The trip was very good. However what the downloaded program was describing was out of sync with what we were seeing on the tour. It was a bit confusing.
Limited choice of free drinks, no snacks ok but could do better.
Very relaxing cruise with free beverages such as coffee, tea, water and juice. Beautiful views that you cannot get from the shore.
It was the best thing I've done in Portugal. The staff is friendly and helpful. You feel relaxed while hovering about 40m in the air while listening to great music 🇵🇹
The staff on the boat were amazing…we didn’t sail for nearly 15 minutes after start but it was a great cruise and we got to see some great stuff. Worth every penny…the drink they gave us sucked but we were able to purchase a real drink so it was ok.
We took the Promenade day tour on a Sunday. This was a busy and hot day. First point to make was that there no safety briefing for the trip. You have to figure out for yourself where lifejackets are etc. There's no audio onboard so you need to download the guide via the App store. The app is not that great and kept crashing if you open any other apps. The free drink is a small orange juice, water or coffee. The river tour is a mearly a circular journey up and back to the main bridge. Was it value for money = No. My advice is to go into the Terminal building and book direct with any of the other River Tour operators.
Easy to book and a great way to orientate your exploration of Lisbon and it’s geography., the promised complimentary drink and snack perhaps needed a little more prompting
Lowest deck very comfortable. Middle deck hot and seating average. The drink choice is poor: water, oj or sweet wine. Staff friendly. No commentary or idea of what you are looking at along the way.
If you're looking for a River Cruise Tour with a guide on board this is not the tour for you. The ride was lovely but we expected history to be explained to us. The glasses that the drinks were served in were dirty and the drinks were lukewarm. From this perspective we were disappointed.
Beautiful on the river, however no commentary at all. You need to download an app and have ear plugs if you want yo know what you are looking at. Would of been nice to know what a foreigner was looking at and the meaning of things.
Easy check in process, great views of the city. Saw lots of landmarks of Lisbon and Belem. You get a free drink on board
This was amazing, don't forget your phone and Bluetooth headphones. Without them you won't be able to hear about the history.
It was a beautiful cruise and you were able to see many points on interests. I would do it again. Friendly service desk
Attentive but unobtrusive crew. App didn't work for some of us but the tour was easy to follow on the brochure.
Enjoyed the boat , it was great but we had no audio so didn’t hear any of the history of what we were looking at. Headsets should be provided on entry to the boat.
Great way to see Lisbon, the included soft drink was nothing special and hard to get to. The gate and pier to the boat is shared with an other cruise and could be confusing were to sue to board.
We had a lovely evening on this river boat tour. The only disappointing thing about it, was it got foggy just as we were getting on the boat. So the sunset didn’t show off this evening.
Great trip. Sit to the right of the boat and if you can get to the front of the boat just by the captains deck, that is best.
We left about 30 minutes late, the glasses were not clean and it felt like I was on top of a ferry for a hour and a half. We got there early as it stated there were only 50 seats available on top, this didn’t matter since everyone was up there anyways standing and were taking photos at the railing in front of where you sit! I read the reviews before booking but where this was a cheaper option I decided to go ahead anyways. Looking back I would spend the extra to have a nice boat tour.
It's says complementary drink and snack but its just normal water and no snacks at all when you do the booking
The boat ride was a great way to see and experience Lisbon from the water. The monuments and bridges were amazing. Don’t waste money on the “Buffett”’option.
We went on this trip before we went to the airport. It was a great way to get away from the city heat and spend a couple of hours on the water. The trip gives you an opportunity to look at Lisbon from a different perspective. We saw the Belem Tower which was a bit too far to go to see on land. It was a sunny day but the breeze was nice. I suggest you sit on the right side of the boat, on the top floor. You get a better and close view of everything.
Learning the history was great.
I think all the travellers should come to Lisbon, beautiful. I can’t describe the boat experience a moment. I will never forget. truly a beautiful experience. you guys are making your country proud.
Make sure you download app and bring headphones. Drink is self serve- water, orange juice, coffee, tea. No frills or commentary so if you didnt download the app you have no idea what you’re looking at. My bad not theirs but make sure you read all the fine print!! Also- make sure you have coins to use rest room in the waiting area
Nice boat lovely weather Would have been nice to get some information about the trip and sights enroute. Not one single announcement. But nice trip
No need to download the app for commentary. Enjoy a quiet boat ride and take in the sights. The included drink was tasty.
This was an excellent relaxing boat trip on the river. Mellow and easy to communicate with each other, as opposed to some of the DJ party ships that are out there. Boat has a larger capacity than most, and an excellent bar is onboard for your convenience.
The boat was “mid”, sat on the boat and sailed up and down. Would’ve expected a voice over with what we were actually looking at, but whatever. The bit which has very much annoyed me is that I paid an additional 20 EUR per person for “brunch” on the boat. But what was served was more reflective of something I would expect to be served in the canteen of Alcatraz. I have requested a refund, which was declined, so here is my review. There was a selection of wet egg, wet small sausage, wet bean (yes, somehow the water has separated from the bean sauce), and my personal favourite “wet pancake”, and an assortment of other delicious items. I was glad to see the operator taking their commitment to the environment seriously, by recycling the food presumably from yesterdays buffet. Not to forget, the glasses were decorated with greasy fingerprints, for that “personal touch”. I never knew I could get so little for 20 EUR.
Complimentary drinks were not up to par and there wasn’t many sites to see during the tour. Boat also left almost an hour late where it was scheduled for 5:10pm and it left at 6pm
We were disappointed that there was no WIFI on the tour boat. The audio commentary for the tour was only available as a download to our phone. as international data rates are very expensive, we do not have it, so we had no access to the audio. It would have been good to know about this before reaching the ticketing booth to get our boarding tickets.
The boat trip was very pleasant and we saw al the sights we wanted to from the river. Unfortunately, the trip was 20 minutes late departing, which impacted on the rest of our (last) day.
It was nice. I liked the boat. There were places to sit comfortably on chairs with tables and voices and chairs with no tables. It would have been nice to have music but it was nice to
1 hour too long. Old boat, no safety instructions, free beverages was OJ and a “ sweet wine”, no audio
It was an interesting boat trip, but it wasn't obvious where the buildings were sometimes that the commentary was describing.
The cruise was well organised we turned up at terminal which was easy to find as it’s very centrally located we were directed straight to the boat. It was a bit of a scramble for seats on the deck as most people wanted to enjoy the beautiful weather. I think there could be more seats out there . Went past all attractions and it was great to get out on the water. I enjoyed the brunch on offer, it was basic but adequate. Only thing lacking was a bit of atmosphere, some easy listening music throughout may make it a little more enjoyable Most people onboard were holiday makers and it’s a lovely experience however overall atmosphere was a bit flat I do get they want to have a safe environment for all however it enhance the overall experience.
Not worth the money. You go down on the boat past most of the monuments turn around and slowly return. My family member did not receive her was told they would return with the drink, but never did. Further when exiting the boat I asked for assistant and was not helped off the boat.
Interesting ride along both the city side and the opposite bank. Easy access and central location. Two levels (on top and side) for viewing with plenty of seats . Included a small glass of a tasty port. Note. Had trouble with converting my voucher from Viator to a ticket. Web site would not download at the terminal. Fortunately, I had my confirmation number and desk personnel were able to confirm and let us proceed.
The boarding process was fairly smooth and quick. First to board, scooped up the top level, outdoor seats leaving the rest indoors. The windows of the inside seats were small and made sightseeing difficult. A complimentary drink of orange juice or sweet wine was offered. The length of the cruise was about 90 minutes which was good. We had downloaded the app ahead of time so listening to the audio guide helped get insight into the landmarks. Overall, this boat cruise was adequate for the price paid (20 euros) but I would have paid more for a better experience.
Very relaxed way to experience the Lisbon waterfront and get a different view of the city. Plenty of seats including some really comfy sofas.
