The guide was unprepared , went to 1 place and stood around and never sat so we had to go someplace else. I paid for premium wines and never received it. Usually you get some history and facts on the tour. Didn’t get much.

We had trouble hooking up at the beginning because we booked at the last minute but Viator and Walking Parrot tours got us together. We missed the first stop but Andrei, our guide added another for us. Andrei showed us some great food and locations.
This was my Business trip to Lisbon . So I have very less time to manage all the things there specially food tour. But big thanks to the walking parrot to make it smooth . Thanks to guide as well. He was very knowledgeable and nice person .
The tour was really interesting and the guide could tell us so much about it. I was a fan and my friends absolutely loved the Lisbon food experience. There were a few smaller restaurants and some bigger chains like Manteigaria that you know for the pastries, but also some local spots I hadn't discovered before. I was definitely positively surprised and can highly recommend the tour.
We had an amazing time on this Portuguese food tour! It was the perfect activity for our group of friends and gave us a delicious introduction to Lisbon’s food, culture, and history. Every stop offered something different, from traditional local dishes to drinks and hidden neighborhood gems we probably would not have discovered on our own. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole group feel welcome. The tour was well organized, relaxed, and full of interesting stories without ever feeling rushed. There was plenty of food, great conversation, and lots of laughs along the way. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Lisbon. We would highly recommend it to anyone visiting with friends and looking for an authentic, fun, and memorable experience.
It was so good and I really liked the tour because the food places were too great and tour guide was the best.
The portions were generous, so definitely come hungry! I also appreciated that the tour focused on family-run businesses and local favorites rather than touristy spots. It felt like getting a genuine taste of Lisbon through the eyes of a local. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lisbon, especially if it’s your first time in the city. It’s a fantastic way to discover authentic Portuguese cuisine while meeting fellow travelers. One of the highlights of my trip!
I joined the tour on my own, but the guide and group were so welcoming that I felt right at home immediately. It was a fantastic way to explore the city, learn about local history, and meet fellow travelers along the way. Highly recommend for anyone traveling solo!
This food tour was insane, in the best way. I ate my way through Lisbon and loved every second. The guide was hilarious, the group vibes were great, and the food… wow. Cod, dreamy pastéis de nata… and hidden spots I never would’ve found on my own. If you want to eat like a local and have a blast doing it, this is the tour. Solid 5 stars.
Great food tour in Lisbon! I went with my friends, and we really enjoyed tasting authentic Portuguese dishes while learning about the local culture. The guide was excellent, and the whole experience was fun and memorable.
Great for, great food and good time!
Miguel was very knowledgeable and the places he took us to eat were fabulous. Great experience learning about Lisbon & Portuguese history and the local delicacies. Highly recommend.
Lots of walking. Lots of food but heavy on pork. Hardly any seafood. Wines were 2 whites & a sangria. No reds. Lots of local historical info.
Rafael was a wonderful guide. He was personable, kind, funny and full of recommendations.
I had such an amazing time on this Portuguese food tour in Lisbon. From the very beginning, everything felt warm and genuine. Being welcomed into a local setting made the whole experience incredibly authentic — it didn’t feel like a typical tour at all.bOur guide was super friendly and knowledgeable, sharing stories about Portuguese culture, food, and everyday life, which made the experience even more special. The food was absolutely delicious, and each stop felt carefully chosen to show a real local side of Lisbon. It was honestly one of the most unforgettable experiences of my trip and without a doubt the highlight of my time in Lisbon. I would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for something authentic and different. A true must-do!
Trying different local foods while walking around Lisbon was quite a discovery ! Rafael made the whole experience really relaxed and enjoyable, and you could tell he genuinely loves sharing Portuguese food and culture. We stopped at a few local spots and everything we tried was delicious. It was a great mix of discovering the city and tasting authentic food along the way.
Rafael really knows food! A great guide and an amazing tour, combining a walking tour with Rafael pointing out notable historical and cultural sites, along with several restaurants offering up terrific food & drink. We had migas with braised pork (not pictured), a cod croquette, a shrimp empanada (? - not sure what this is called in Portuguese), the famous bifana sandwich, sardines, some delightful wine and sangrias, and rounded out the tour with a pastel de nata with coffee. Be sure you’re hungry, because this is a very filling and satisfying tour. Obrigada, Rafael! 5 stars!
No guide showed up at meeting place! We came early and stayed 15 minutes past meeting time. Impossible to contact anyone by phone.
Excellent food tour with Rafael as my guide. I got his full attention as I was the only one on the tour and in that I was a bit disappointed as I was unable to share the experience with others. Rafael showed what he thought were the best venues to get the most authentic foods during my visit. Excellent tour!
We asked for an English speaking guide, and although Jafael was charming, he couldn’t speak much English so we really couldn’t talk about the culture or the origins of the food or the history of Lisbon. The choice of locations seemed disorganized. He changed his mind several times about where he was taking us. We didn’t understand the confusion because we thought food tour guides booked so that we could get in and out easily. At least the past few tours we’ve been on the restaurant had already reserved a table for us and were expecting us. It was quite expensive for the tour and we can only compare it to a different tour in Madrid. Our guy there was very organized and even had photos to show us of the history of the area and cost less money and it had more value in terms of the food served. The Madrid experience was organized, informative, and had better and more food.
Rafael was such a fun host! Very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We felt like we not only got to try lots of different kinds of local cuisine, but also learned lot about the city and the different sections of Lisbon. At the end of the tour he went above and beyond, helping us plan our last 2 days in Lisbon.
Rafael was a wonderful guide and we enjoyed delicious food throughout Lisbon. He was friendly and knowledgeable and showed us a variety of areas of the city. We are grateful for the experience.
The food is great, but be prepared to do a LOT of walking. I’m sure this could be avoided if specified ahead of time, but we covered 6.5 miles and we were very tired at the end. Rafael was an amazing guide- he turned a normal food tour into a trek through the entire city. We got to see a lot of things we otherwise never would have, and were grateful for that! With that said, we’re tired!
Cristina and George were wonderful guides. We had a ball and made friends in Portugal and the food, well it was what you come to expect in Lisbon. Any food you love, in Lisbon they make it better. We had a great introduction to regional favorites and our lovely guides helped us make good deals on drinks and food to take home. We got much more than just a food tour, it was interesting cultural and historical stuff and the photos from vantage points along the route were the best of our visit.
Didn’t start out well. Guide was quite late and did not communicate to us. I had to call and he was contacted
Harold took us to the most wonderfully authentic places in Porto. Harold was knowledgeable and a generous host of the city. The food was delicious! I can’t stop thinking if the tastes and the locations. Take this tour with Harold.
The trip was cancelled about an hour before we got there We were all very disappointed and left without anything to do on our main day in Lisbon
Rafael Ramos showed us the main spots of the city with a lot of humor and very interesting stories. We got a great insight into the culture, the food and the life in Lisbon.
I was lucky enough to take a walking tour from Mr. Rafael Ramos on my second day in Lisbon from my hotel. His ability to narratively unfold the city’s history was engaging and so well planned. He shared a flawless all encompassing tour that felt like it was of the entire city! Rafael added highlights of Lisbon that were unique to my interests. Mr. Ramos’s tour of Lisbon ended up being the highlight of my 8 day trip to Portugal!
Thanos our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed the tour but it did not live up to our expections. Having experienced outstanding food tours in the past, this tour was a huge disappointment . The quality of the food was very poor. Not good value for money ! Thanos was very engaging and an excellent guide.
Every restaurant was outstanding and I can hardly pick my favourite one! Thank you for this culinary journey that brought me so many amazing and delicious experiences!
Fantastic tour guide, showed us around the city sharing the local tips and places to go as well. Really nice insights that you wouldn't get without going on this tour. Food was delicious, authentic and unique.
The Lisbon Portuguese Food Tour was fantastic! Our tour guide was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. We not only indulged in traditional Portuguese dishes but also learned fascinating stories behind them. I highly recommend this tour!
I’m having a difficult time writing this review. Our tour guide was a fountain of knowledge on Lisbon and Portugal and he deserves a 5 star rating for that BUT this was a food tour and I rate it a 1 star (0 if I could). Our tour started well with two delicious tapas and a glass of wine, but I felt even that was lacking as there was no explanation of the “best or recommended” wine to drink with the cod or pork dish. We were told our next stop was for pulled pork but the restaurant was closed so he bought us a pork bun from a street stall. The bun was good but we had to buy our own drinks. The final savory dish was a traditional cod dish with noodles. Although the sangria we got was tasty it wasn’t what I would expect with the cod. Our final food was a pasties de Belem (very good). Overall though, given that this was a food tour we were not very happy with it
Amazing tour! I learned so much about the rich history of Portugal and the food was some of the best in the world. Thank you to my amazing guide Rafael! Hope to visit again.
I was really happy with the Lisbon food tour. It was a highlight of my trip! The restaurants we visited were authentic and offered a fantastic taste of Portuguese cuisine. The tour was well-organized and paced perfectly. Our guide was knowledgeable, making the experience not only delicious but also very enjoyable. I'm glad I booked this tour and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lisbon.
We were given a fantastic insight into Lisbon food and culture. Our guide Rafael was amazing, we were very impressed by the vast knowlege and insight on the history of Lisbon that he shared with us as we walked between the different restautants . We truely explored the city. We enjoyed the experiece of tasting local food and drinks and loved the charming restauants and locations involved. We would highly recommed this tour with Rafael.
Thank you for this experience! I was with a group of 4 friends and we had a great afternoon doing this Food tour. Thanks to the guide who was really nice!
The sites we visited, the variety of food we tasted , the tour guide Julia was very pleasant, informative and helpful.
I try to go on food tours whenever I travel and this is one of the better ones I’ve experienced. We went to 4 food stops and stopped along the way to see a few other sights. The guide Gulia was knowledgeable and had kept a good flow. I was also able to buy some local art at a very reasonable price!
My wife and I met our guide, Julia and the one other guest on-time. Julia provided interesting insights into Lisbon and the various foods and drinks we throughout the tour. She showed us at least 6 spots that we never would have found on our own. A very nice Easter Sunday afternoon.
Met Julia at Rossio Square on time and proceeded on our tour. The group was 3 people total. The foods we sampled were excellent and in interesting locations that we'd never have found on our own. The wines and Sangria we also very good. Julia provided lots of insights into to Lisbon, and the foods and wines which kept the tour interesting.
Julia is an excellent guide who made the whole day fun. She is social and adjusted well to changes in the plan. The food variety is great and covers a wide range.
The best food tour in the country! Delicious selection of food that represents Portugal and its cuisine in the best way! Sooooo good I will repeat it with them in Porto as well 🤤
Delightful tour full of history, delicious food and good conversation. Tour guide Bruno is very knowledgeable about Lisbon history and current culture. Enjoyed every moment.
Amazing experience! Delicious food! Bruno was so knowledgeable and a delight to share our food with. His history of Lisbon was impressive!
Bruno was awesome. Knowledgable and super entertaining. I would highly recommend him as the perfect guide to your Lisbon trip
Per and Bruno were both amazing and knowledgeable about portuguese cuisine! It was lovely experience and since I was the only one taking the tour, it’s like having my own private food tour! Definitely recommend them as guides. There was one stop that you could say it’s not authentic Portuguese but as all the food was pre ordered by the company, the guides probably have no say about it. I hope the company will change it and add a more traditional one.
I enjoyed the tour a lot. The guide Attila war very nice and competent. We got to understand many things about Portuguese cuisine and the history and Portuguese way of life attached to it. On the way we stopped at some more hidden spots of the city where we also learned some interesting facts about the city and the multicultural influences it underwent through history. Don’t get scared off by the length of the tour! It was absolutely worth it and while having a lot of fun, time simply flew.
The food and our guide Eduardo, great food and drinks , including a walking history lesson. Our guide was very informative and knowledgeable. I would absolutely recommend this tour for a taste of Portugal and a little history added in .
