Great guide and choices of stops. Very personable guide and knowledgeable. We had the famous custard. Famous pork sandwich with very fresh bread. Visited a small restaurant for a nice white wine and beef dish. Favorite stop was with the kng of Moscato wine.
Tasty tour with a funny guide. Great and delicious pica pau, bifana, wine tasting and all cool places. You should do it!!
We were lucky to have Zuzanna all to ourselves on this amazing food and wine tour. Zuzanna’s selection of local food, wine and beer gave us a real sense of Portuguese culture. We highly recommend this tour, especially for first timers to Lisbon.
Paulina is a breath of fresh air and so much fun! My wife and I connected with her immediately. She is from Moscow but has lived in Portugal several years and knows her way around the city. She introduced us to several small restaurants or bars that are truly hidden gems. All the owners seemed to appreciate her bringing new customers by to experience their dishes or drinks. The King of Muscatel was exceptionally fun! You owe it to yourself to book Paulina for a quick walking tour of food and wine. And she has an amazing story to tell; take time to engage with her. You will not regret it! She is fantastic. Obrigado!
Great amazing tour! We got to taste local food and the flavors of Lisbon in an authentic way! Everything was perfect and delicious!
Paulina was very attentive to us and shared a lot of her experiences living in Lisbon in addition to introducing us to traditional local foods and wine. She shared her knowledge and experience. It was like visiting a friend and getting a tour around Lisbon.
Such an amazing, great experience, we had so much fun and the tasting was great and local food, really enjoyable tour!
Awesome food and wine experience, we had a good bifana and pica pau , delicious local food, amazing experience and great guide.
What a lovely experience with Suzanna. Knowledgeable with local history and the places chosen for food were very uniquely Portugal! We learned about the cultural and what it’s like to live here. Definitely a winner of a tour.
The food was incredible, absolutely spectacular. without this tour we would never have found these amazing places. Everything was outstanding and unique, and we truly enjoyed every stop. We simply wouldn’t have discovered them if it hadn’t been for this tour. And the guide was fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience even more special. Five stars for five fantastic spots! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Wonderful first activity in Lisbon to get acquainted with the area- plus food and drinks. Had a lovely time with Paulina!
It was an amazing time with a nice guide. The tour was beyond expectations, the wine tasting was very special and the pica pau was delicious!
One of the worst tour experiences I’ve ever had. We paid €204 in total, expecting an enjoyable and well-organized experience. However, the tour fell far short of what was advertised. Our guide, Danielo, mentioned he had only been in the country for nine months and had recently started leading tours. He told us the tour would last 3 hours and end at a specific location, but instead, it ended after just 2 hours at a completely random spot. He then told us he was leaving to meet his girlfriend at a bar. Throughout the tour, Danielo barely spoke Portuguese, and the advertised photos did not reflect the reality of the experience. The itinerary was chaotic, and none of the stops could reasonably be called “hidden gems.” The first stop, O Trevo, was overcrowded and disorganized-we had to eat on the go. The guide didn’t even check whether we had any dietary restrictions (for example, if we ate pork). The second stop was a small, locally owned place where Danielo had not made a reservation and struggled to explain our presence in Portuguese. He also drank alcohol during the tour, which I found unprofessional. At the wine tasting stop, again, no reservation had been made, and we were turned away. We ended up tasting wine at the Time Out Market-hardly a hidden gem-standing at a liquor counter while customers waited behind us to make purchases. It was uncomfortable and poorly arranged. The next “hidden gem” was Manteigaria, a very famous bakery chain where we tasted a pastel de nata-not exactly unique or off the beaten path. The final stop was a random street bar serving cherry liqueur, which felt like an improvised ending. Overall, the guide spent roughly €70 on food and drinks during this two-hour tour, and the entire experience felt unprofessional, disorganized, and misleading compared to the website description. The photos and advertised experience are highly deceptive.
We had Susanna as our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable. And a lovely personable young lady. We had a great experience and highly recommend!
Zuzanna was so personable and turns out my daughter and I had a private tour so with just three of us it felt very intimate and we could ask lots of questions. The food was all so delicious and the wine was delicious as well.
We had a fantastic time with our guide Paulina who was able to get us in some very good local bars and eateries. In the first one we had a very tasty Bifana accompanied with some local beer and great local people and sounds. Paulina's knowledge of the area and historic events was fantastic as our small group love those nuggets of information. We had the best pasteis de nata for dessert. We would definitely recommend this tour and Paulina with her engaging, attentive and happy approach!
Food was delicious. Great guide, fun and very informative. The pace of the tour was nice, not rushed we got to enjoy each stop. Highly recommended.
The guide made it all come alive—not just the food, but the history, the stories, and even a few local jokes. Super engaging and clearly passionate about the city.
I complete recommend this tour. We had a lot of fun and the wine tasting was a unique experience! Cool and nice guide! Lisbon is beautiful!
We did this tour and we loved it. The pica pau and the wine was fantastic. If you are a food lover you will love this hidden gem tour. We will do more tours with them!
We had an amazing time with the guide, trying local Food was a very Nice experience. The wine and bifana was delicious! 5 starts!
Super entertaining knowledgeable guide, Paulina. Enjoyed the food and wine! Maybe broader area of Lisbon would be good too.
The tour was great and all the places were amazing. We loved going to local places. The good was delicious and everything was awesome! Completely recommended
Less of a tour, more of visit to conveniently located cafes and kiosks near to the square. Three of the stops were next door to each other within 50 meters of the square, another was on the square. As previous reviews have started don’t expect high end food, it was a pleasant enough experience and was nice to meet fellow travellers and get orientated in a new city. We have done a food tour in a lot of European cities, it was not the best value for money I’m afraid. Paulina was bubbly and friendly but talked extremely quickly we were with some Germans who clearly could not keep up! Would I do it again or recommend - sadly not
Lovely insight into the different types of food Lisbon has to offer. Friendly tour guide with lots of information to share.
Our airline flight was 2 1/2 hours late, causing us to be late for the tour. Polina waited for us and was very understanding and gracious. We were able to experience very tasty Portuguese cuisine. Thank you, Polina.
We had a great tour with Polina. She was very friendly and knowledgeable not only about the food and wine but some history along the way! Food and wine were very good and plentiful, would definitely recommend.
A really enjoyable 3 plus hours with our guide Polina. There was only my partner and I on the tour which could have been awkward but Polina was so laid back and such good company that the time flew by. She was very knowledgeable about Lisbon. We had food and drink that we wouldn't normally at places we wouldn't normally have visited.
This tour introduced us to the food natives of Lisbon est daily. Our guide, Paulina, took us to four separate establishments where we sympathy while wide variety of daily fair – not high-end meals, but the kind of food a resident would eat any day of the week.
The tour went amazing!! I went with my family! We had very good food and an amazing time with the guide. Paulina was an awesome excellent guide.
Left the tour quite hungry after paying a lot. Not worth the value when the guide shows up late and is disinterested most of the night…truly disappointing!
Our guide Paulina was very knowledgeable about the aria we were walking about and about the history of Lisabon in general, she was also fun to be around and made the evening very entertaining. Both the food and the wine we had were also very good so I would recommend this tour to everyone one that likes history, good food and wine.
It was very cool! The food was very good. The bifana was so tasty and I loved the pica pau. The guide was very friendly and knoledge!
Lisbon’s food scene is a dream! The Pica-Pau was absolutely delicious—so tender and flavorful—and the wine tasting was the perfect complement. Our guide was fantastic, sharing local stories and hidden gems along the way. If you’re a foodie visiting Lisbon, this tour is a must! Highly recommend!
We give 5 start to this food tour. All the Places were walking distance in portugueses nice neighborhood, my wife and I were very satisfied!
We Love it , the wine tasting was so good , it was 3 different types of wine and the owner of the place was very informative and friendly. Great experience!
We had a memorable night with Paulina. We enjoyed a generous (and delicious) plate of pica pao and wine, bifanas and beer, wine/meat/cheese, pastel de natas and ended the night with Ginjingha. The weather was not favorable but Paulina was flexible in choosing options that allowed for indoor seating and limited walking time between locations. We especially loved Wine Lover Bairro Alto and the owner’s hospitality, as well as Restaurant A Gruta de Camoes. True to the title of the tour, we ended up also visiting a couple other hidden gems: a local bookstore that also sells authentic tile, and a unique lookout spot. We really enjoyed talking with Paulina, and had so many laughs. The tour felt like hanging out with a friend. She is a hidden gem herself. Thank you!
While this tour is not high cuisine, it was an entirely enjoyable and relatively inexpensive introduction to the food and wine of Portugal. (The photos of the tour may oversell what you get a bit, but it was just the two of us that day, and there were 5 stops, not six). But another thing we liked that this tour was relatively compact - if you have limited mobility, the walking part is relatively brief and level. The first stop is on the square where you meet, for a bifana, a very simple marinated-pork sandwich and a half-pint of one of the most popular Portugese beers. Again, not high cuisine, but local and regionally typical, and tasty. Then around the corner for Pica-Pau, another local pork dish and an introduction and explanation of “green wine” (it’s not *literally* green - and is sweet and light.) The server/cook here was friendly and told us of her family visit to the US east coast. The third stop was our favorite - a tasting of one white and two Portuguese red wines (all good) accompanied by bread, smoked sardines, and a plate of two local sliced sausage meats and a very nice cheese. The host was gregarious and put some smooth jazz on an old-fashioned record player for us while explaining the origins of each of these local products. Really nice guy who obviously enjoys his job. At the fourth stop the tour description mentions the codfish cake, which we’d tried the day before. Think of a slightly fishy hush-puppy made of potato and fried. An acquired taste, I suppose. Instead of that, our guide got us the local favorite, pastel de Nata. Imagine a freshly baked cup made from phyllo dough filled with a sweet, rich cream filling, all warm. They say that the original pastelerie in Belem (which we also visited) makes the best ones, and perhaps that’s true, but we thought all the ones on our trip were nice. The last stop is more of a walk, but still maybe only two (again, level) blocks or so, to finish with the local cherry liquor (which was originally concocted as a medicinal, we were told) which you can get in a tiny edible cup made of chocolate. (Sort of an only-mildly boozy, liquid chocolate-covered cherry). Now, to get a more full exposure to the local cuisine, I would say you should also go to seafood restaurant for dinner (which we also did in Lisbon). This tour is more of a lighter snack/appetizer tour - We started just before lunchtime, and by the end were feeling full but not uncomfortably so - kind of just what we were looking for. I’ll close with our guide, Paulina, a transplant from Russia, who was young, quirky, entertaining and smart beyond her years - trained as a linguist, she speaks something like 6 languages. She was a knowledgable and fun guide who interacted well with us and the proprietors of the places we visited. Like many Portugese, she does smoke, but unlike what one other reviewer said, with us she was very considerate of us and didn’t smoke at all during the tour. All in all, a light, fun little slice of Lisbon.
Unfortunately I didn't let the tour people know that my wife and I are vegetarians. This misstep colored the rest of the tour as the guide had to scramble to figure out which places to take us, my mistake. To further complicate things my wife has a seafood allergy so the first place we went to we each got a small beer and I got a fish cake. Then on to a pastry shop with no where to sit where we stood and ate the famous Lisbon pastry, no beverage. This was followed by a restaurant where we had some bland cabbage soup and green wine. The saving grace was a wine shop run by a charming gentleman named Luigi who was so accommodating and friendly. Finally a stop for cherry liqueur which we sipped out on the sidewalk out of chocolates. As I said, the vegetarian factor definitely threw things off and that's my fault but we were disappointed in this tour. The guide was nice enough but also a smoker and we had to walk behind her smoke plume as we went from place to place.
Really enjoyed our tour guide and your of the street food and wine. Wine was delicious. Tour guide was knowledgeable about history of Portugal.
Quite a good glimpse of Lisbon food - our guide, Mario was very nice. There is drinks pairing in almost every stop.
Nice guide but very limited food and Lisbon experience. Price should be lower for children or adults who don’t drink alcohol. 1 of the 5 stops had only liquor. I would have liked to learn more about the history of the food we ate.
This tour is definitely worth it. We enjoyed every minute of it. Mario, our guide, made sure that our experience was personalized and detailed: the places we visited and the wine and food were awesome! Don’t hesitate to book this tour now!
Our visit to Lisbon was made very memorable by choosing this tour. Our guide, Eliane, was on time at agreed location and warmly greeted us. We then proceeded to visit and enjoy many delicious, local dishes and wines. Elaine’s enthusiasm for Lisbon and the local fare is quite evident. Our time passed so quickly. The highlight for me was the Pasteis de nata - simply divine. So many places and experiences to discover in Lisbon, however, please do take this tour and enjoy.

The food was so delicious. The spots were fairly close. Adianna was so nice and gracious. She accommodated everyone in the party. We felt so welcome.
Our guide was simply impeccable. Kindsnf knoledgeable. The hidden gems are interesting and tasty. Just a notch below memorable. All in all, a pod tour!
Great start to our Lisbon visit - it gave us an introduction to local food and customs. Host was knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable.
Mario was great and we enjoyed talking to him. However, not sure why we only did 4 of the six stops listed. Very disappointed to have not sampled the codcake and bifina. Also it is misleading as it was called dinner. The pica-pau came on one plate and was a two bite taste per person.
