Rua Augusta is Lisbon's most famous pedestrian street, connecting Rossio Square to Praça do Comércio. Lined with elegant 18th-century buildings, lively cafés, boutiques, and street performers, it captures the city's vibrant atmosphere and serves as the bustling heart of downtown Lisbon.
Chiado is Lisbon's elegant cultural and shopping district, where historic cafés, iconic bookstores, theatres, and designer boutiques create a sophisticated atmosphere. Blending literary heritage with modern style, Chiado is the perfect place to experience the city's artistic spirit and timeless charm.
Rossio Square is one of Lisbon's most vibrant and historic squares, serving as the city's social heart for centuries. Famous for its distinctive black-and-white wave-patterned pavement, elegant fountains, and the statue of King Pedro IV, Rossio is surrounded by cafés, theatres, and historic buildings that capture the lively spirit of the Portuguese capital.
Casa do Alentejo is a hidden Moorish-inspired gem in the heart of Lisbon. Housed in a 17th-century palace, it enchants visitors with its stunning tiled courtyards, ornate arches, and richly decorated halls. Originally an aristocratic residence, it now celebrates the culture and gastronomy of the Alentejo region, offering an unforgettable blend of history, architecture, and traditional Portuguese cuisine.
A Ginjinha is Lisbon's most iconic spot to taste ginjinha, Portugal's famous sour cherry liqueur. Serving locals and visitors since 1840, this tiny historic bar offers the traditional drink either com elas (with cherries) or sem elas (without), providing a delicious taste of one of Lisbon's oldest and most beloved traditions.

Great walkabout tour stopping at small shops to sample cheese and ham, onward across the plaza to a popular fusion restaurant for modern Portuguese all accompanied by appropriate wines. Up the hill for sweets and history and back down for a local drink and then on to regional speciality chorizo. All the walk was accompanied by tales and history of Lisbon. It was a glorious afternoon!
Simone was wonderful. She was knowledgeable and had a pleasant demeanor to share her city and the delights of cuisine of Lisbon.
My experience was excellent. The guide took us on a truly immersive journey; each dish really had a value that went beyond just the flavors. I highly recommend it, and if I could, I’d do it all over again! My suggestion: add some cinnamon to your Pastéis de Nata! Translated with DeepL (https://dee.pl/apps)

Excellent experience!!! We made this gastronomic tour in Lisbon and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The guide was extremely friendly, knew very well the history of the city and managed to explain the origin of each dish and tradition in a very interesting way. We loved to taste the fillings, the cheeses, the wine, the ginjinha and even a delicious convental candy. The stops were very well chosen and allowed to know places that we would hardly find alone.
