Lisbon Essentials In One Day: Sintra, Cascais And Belém

Flavio Oliveira was our tour guide for today. He was very knowledgeable, professional and courteous. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and highly recommend the tour. Maria and Carmelina.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip from Lisbon to Belem, Cascais,and Sintra with Francisco. He was most knowledgeable and a pleasure to be with. By the end of the day, we felt as though we had gained a new friend, and while it is an ambitious itinerary, the time flew by and we were left with a true interest in returning some day to further explore these beautiful sites!

Francisco is a degreed historian and was able to give us a detailed history of the sites and attractions we visited. My wife has been dealing with a knee problem and he was very helpful with our drop offs and pickups so that we were able to access all of the stops and not miss anything. He is a great guide for anyone who enjoys a deeper discussion of the historical attractions.

Francisco Maia is an excellent guide. He is knowledgeable, provides appropriate information and is very personable. We highly recommend him.

Francisco was excellent it was a great day! Enjoyed the three towns we visited and Francisco recommended an excellent restaurant for lunch. Very knowledgeable about the history of the area.

Francisco Maia was more than a great tourist guide for our group today. He was like a good local friend. Easy to get on with he has a comprehensive and well-rounded knowledge of the local culture, history, geography and cuisine. He knows Lisbon sites like the back of his hand and quotes transport options to save money, famous restaurants and the best places to visit for people on short stays. We found him an immense help for us as we are only visiting Lisbon for 4 days. I would highly recommend him. He's a great asset for which ever tourist guide outfit he works for.

What an AMAZING day we had on this excursion to Belem, Cascais and Sintra with our OUTSTANDING GUIDE, Francisco Maia. He made everything so fun and taught us so much. He provided a fantastic understanding of the culture in a way that was easy to understand. His passion for sharing information and culture shines bright! He went above and beyond and even made a requested stop (not specifically designated on the tour) to Pasteis de Belem so we could try their original pastery...delicious! He was also personal and caring to the other couple on the tour with us - the gentleman needed some special care getting around and he did this in such an easy and caring way. Everyone had a wonderful day on this excursion. I am still smiling from the experience. Sintra especially is a site to see! So much culture to learn about. We had lots of time there to explore and see everything as we learned the symbolism of the architecture. We are so happy we made time for this full day excursion while in Lisbon...definitely worth every minute! And if you can go, be sure to request Francisco if possible. He truly was outstanding - the best guide we had on the many tours we went on in Portugal. He even sent us a list of suggestions for sites and restaurants in our proceeding destination in Portugal. We cannot thank him enough. Wish we could leave 5+ stars. Don't miss this one.

Everything was great. Our tour guide was named Francisco and he was the best! He answered every question we had in great detail. He was also very flexible and went above and beyond to create the best experience. The views were spectacular and the entire experience is highly recommended. If you can ask for a specific tour guide, I definitely recommend Francisco. Definitely makes you want to come back for more.

Jorge was very attentive to the needs of the group. Most people spoke Spanish but he made accommodations to speak to my wife and me in English, which was very clear. He was knowledgeable about the area and it was evident he enjoyed what he was doing. He also gave suggestions for buying a local libation. Great way to see different parts of Lisbon!

Jorge was an excellent tour guide! He was kind and helpful and even translated in multiple languages since some tourists only spoke Spanish and we only speak English. He can do other languages, too! Smart and talented guy! A ton of fun and super glad we went!

A nice taste of Belem, Cascais and Sintra. Loved our guide Pedro! It rained in Sintra, but he had umbrellas. And the others on the excursion were very pleas t. Recommend!

We were a family of five adults who got their own guided tour from Francisco Maia. He was a professional guide who in a very nice way told us about the places we visited. Because we were a company, he adapted the trip to our wishes and interests. We got a little longer when we wanted and could be a little faster in other places. He was also a safe driver of his car. Can really recommend a guided tour with Francisco Maia.

Very nice visit to Cascais a very nice town very groomed and with great economic level and nice beach.
