Just an ok tour. The boat was difficult to find. We had to text and call the tour provider. The guide talked a lot about himself and we had to ask about some of the major landmarks. The talked nonstop. It would have nice to have at least a few moments of quiet.

Francisco was a great operator very insightful and full of history we really enjoyed the experience
Great small boat ride up the river to center of town. Great view of bridge, sailboats, and a very articulate captain!
We had an amazing time on this tour! Cruising on a traditional wooden boat while hearing stories of the area helped us to really understand the history and relationship that Lisbon has with the sea. Captain Francisco was so interesting and we so enjoyed the stories with his friendly and personal approach. The boat has a maximum of 10 participants so we never felt crowded. It was a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable experience! Thank you!
We were the only people on the tour when we did it. It was a lovely day weather wise and we had a great time with Francisco. He is an extremely friendly, personable and interesting person. It was great to see the sights of Lisbon from the river in a traditional boat, it gives a completely different perspective to things. Francisco was kind enough to take some photos of us and send them to me via Whatsapp. I also really loved the quotation he has painted on his boat in Portuguese. "Whatever the future holds, there will always be moonlit nights, the Sintra mountains, and the Tagus River flowing to the sea!" by José Hermano Saraiva It was really easy to have a conversation with Francisco and he is a very genuine and caring person. I can thoroughly recommend this boat tour on the Tagus.
Was looking for an informative river tour and definitely found it. We had the best time! And learned a lot of about Lisbon. Francisco really seems to love what he does and it shows (Maria, too!) Definitely, one of the highlights of our time in Lisbon.
Lovely relaxing evening on the water. It was a bit windy that day but if you have the time, it’s a great tour to see a different perspective of the monuments along the Tagus. Very friendly and informative guide and skipper was helpful. Highly recommended
Fantastic trip in Lenda do Tejo, with amazing crew Francisco and Vasco. Great view , great time 👌 and sharing of the city's history
Francisco Was an amazing guide and made us feel safe, comfortable and really spent the time to teach us all about Lisbon and its history! Informative and in an intimate setting, it was truly a highlight of our 3 week trip to Portugal. We plan to visit again and will certainly pay another visit to Francisco and team! Many thanks for the cool experience, our family won’t forget it!
The boat tour was amazing. From the communication beforehand to the ride itself things went smoothly. We chose this ride because it was possible to bring a dog and she was received kindly and there were no problems taking her with us. The guide was very knowledgeable about the city and the area around it. Not only did we learn something during the beautiful boat ride, we also got to ask questions and received advice for what to do in and around the city from a local perspective. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming , for us and our dog. Additionally the guide was also kind enough to take pictures of us. All in all a great experience that we can only recommend should you visit the city
This 90 minute tour was one of the highlights of our visit to the beautiful city of Lisbon. The decorated wooden boat was beautiful and intimate way to enjoy Lisbon from the river. Our operator and tour guide Francisco was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and on time. We got both a visual perspective and the perspective of history. Cannot recommend more highly!
Francisco did an amazing job. What a relaxed atmosphere to take in the sights and see a different perspective of the city from the Tagus river. We would thoroughly recommend this tour. Thank you Francisco for sharing your love and knowledge with us. It was the perfect way to start our vacation.
Boattrip on Tejo River with Francisco and Vasco has been a joyful and real fun experience of my solo holiday in Lisbon. The information Francisco gave as we sail was so intriguing and satisfying. Everyone felt fun, safe and contributing to the trip. Highly recommended. Sinem (Child Psychologist from Istanbul)
The captain was so personable and informative. The view of the city from the water was beautiful and unique. Plus you get great views of the bridge and the Christ redeemer statue across the river. It was relaxing being on the water at the end of the day
We had such a great time! The skipper gave us a great rundown of Lisbon’s history and was able to answer all of our questions. The tour itself was beautiful, we did the 6pm departure and had great views of the sunset! Would definitely do this tour again if we return!
Unique boat! Francisco is great, knowledgable and a great time. Very traditional experience and great views of the city.
Francisco was a fantastic guide. He knew all the history and buildings. He was also a lot of fun. It was a cloudy evening but we still enjoyed ourselves so much because of him! The original boat was also great!
Very informative and fun tour! Highly recommend! We got to learn a lot and the boat is really cool to see and go on. The captain is very kind and great.
Fantastic views and a great perspective of the city. Francisco was really knowledgeable and pleasant. We had a great time!
We had an amazing time during our Traditional Boat Tour with the „Lenda do Tejo“. While we were able to see Lisbons sights from the water, Francesco gave us a history lesson and a lot of fun facts. The boat ride was awesome and the crew very nice!! This was definitely a highlight of our stay :)
Francisco was such an amazing tour guide! We learned so much on our trip down the Tagus River on a beautiful day. Francisco takes genuine care in showing monuments, recommending non-touristy restaurants, and making you feel at home on the boat. My boyfriend and I were fortunate enough that it was just us on the boat with Francisco and his helmsman, making for an intimate and personal experience. This also speaks to how much Francisco cares about showing people around the area, as he could have easily canceled since we were the only booking for that time that day. We were also able to book same day a few hours before! After booking, Francisco called me to ask if I could come earlier because of predicted heavy winds later in the evening. He was very accommodating and allowed us to come at a time that he does not usually schedule tours so that we could have the best experience! The helmsman was also very skilled as on our way back the waves looked choppy, but we did not feel it nor were we splashed at all on the boat. Overall, this was a highlight of our stay in Lisbon and we would recommend to any and all who want a genuine Portuguese experience and to gain a new perspective of Lisbon and the surrounding areas! Many laughs were had:)

This boat trip made not only my day but a lot more! The best so far in visiting not only this city. The crew was great, humorous, friendly and had very interesting stories and sidestories about Lisboa and the river. As the boat is a legend, the crew is legendary. My dog was heartwarmingly welcomed as well and felt good there. A memory for a long time, thank you so much!
Exceptional boating experience for our family! Don't miss! What a great escape from all the tourist crowds for a unique and lovely water experience in a beautiful authentic Portuguese historic boat! Captain Francisco is so warm, personable and knowledgeable explaining so much Lisbon history as we passed by the gorgeous sites. And he personalized the tour to us, listening to what interested us as we went along. And he was amazing with our two children, catering the tour to what was meaningful to them. He and his First Mate even let them drive the boat! This tour was by far the highlight of our time in Lisbon!! Highly recommend!
This activity is the perfect introduction to Lisbon if you are a first time visitor. Along with a breath-taking view of the harbor and Lisbon while being on the water, Francisco, the tour guide, provides excellent information about Lisbon, Portugal, and the history of the different landmarks you will see on the way. This activity really made my first day in Lisbon special and I highly recommend it if you are looking for something that helps you get to know Lisbon, be on the water, and take in some of the best views of Lisbon from the harbor.
Best boat trip in Lisbon, would highly recommend. Francisco was very knowledgeable on the history of Portugal, we were the only two booked that evening so had a private tour. It was one of the highlights of our trip, thank you!
Mr Fransinco , the tour guide , his english was very good and very well prepared in Lisbon's port history, he does his job with real passion and love for the sea.
The boat tour was a great way to get a different perspective of the city from the water. Francisco provided a great overview of the city and the boat was nice and definitely refreshing as it was very hot in the city that day! Thanks for a nice time out on the water!
We had an amazing experience in Lisbon with the sunset and sightseeing tour with Francisco! 🌇⛵ It was so much more than just a boat ride — Francisco shared the history of Portugal with us in such a fun, meaningful, and passionate way. You can tell he truly loves what he does and deeply values Portuguese culture. The combination of the beautiful sunset views and the local stories made the whole experience unforgettable. 🧡 We highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for something authentic, traditional, and local while visiting Lisbon. Thank you, Francisco, for such a memorable time!
Very enjoyable and lovely tour. Francisco did a really great job of giving us a deep and thorough history of Lisbon and the sights, as well as being very accommodating with our start time which was difficult to coordinate with coming back from Sintra on the same day. Would definitely recommend!
Francisco was so knowledgable and we thoroughly enjoyed learning so much about the history of Portugal. The captain was also great. A great way to see the city!
This is a must do activity which provides a fantastic overview of important and interesting sites along the waterfront and beyond. Skipper Francisco is extremely knowledgeable about Lisbon’s history and is a wonderful storyteller. He and Vasco make a great team! My husband and I both loved the tour and being out on the water. We highly recommend this adventure to fellow travelers!
We did this cruise on our first evening in Lisbon, it was a great way to be introduced to the city. It was very personalized and Francisco and Lara were excellent
The skipper and guide were both knowledgeable and friendly. I had a good time with them, being on the water and learning about the city.
What a lovely true Portuguese experience! Looking Lisbon from the river and listening to Fado music at the same time is precious. Rita kept also talking about the monuments that we passed by and we had a love time at sun set hour. And if you are afraid of being cold when the sun is gone, don’t be ! They have wonderful duvets in the boat to make you cozy and warm !
The fully Immersive Traditional boat Tour is an amazing experience, We got to see Lisbon from a different angle. It's a wonderful view of the city. Lisbon by boat is unforgettable. I wish I had done it sooner.
The boat was not comfortable. After 40 min seated, my back was already hurting. They announce it as a tradicional Tagus boat, but after some research, I come to the conclusion that there is nothing traditional on that! It's just an old wood fishing boat painted with different colours! Next time I will take a different option for sure!
The Captain and co-Captain showed us a great time on the River Targus. They are knowledgeable about the history of the City but with a lot of fun. Highly recommended
It was a réal surprise only 3 on board and Rita and the captain of the nice boat were very kind with us Comment along the coast very interesting Thank you
Great couple—both are authentic and knowledgeable. The small, colorful boat was perfect for our group of eight. The captain obviously enjoyed showing us the sights, and his wife was an excellent tour guide.
Wooden boat on the Tagus was a great experience! As the tour is in a small, it feels personalised and Rita and Francisco did a great job of sharing the history of each monument.
Perfect trip to do with friends or family. Incredible views of Lisbon. We really enjoyed the trip! Thanks for the welcome !
The tour was great. Rita and Francisco are welcoming and great company. Recommend to anyone looking for a “different” day in Lisbon!
The tour was amazing, with a great staff and wonderful views! The sunset was very special! The company gave us all informations that we ned (tips about Lisbon included).
Thanks Rita and Francisco! We truly loved the trip! It was the best way possible to celebrate my birthday! The boat is beautiful, the views over the city are amazing and the sunset is unforgettable!
I found this boat trip to be the highlight of a delightful short visit to Lisbon. The boat can accommodate up to 10 passengers which makes for a very personalised trip. The crew are simply wonderful. It was like going on the water with some old friends rather than a formal experience. I learned so much about the city but rather than hear this as a recorded message it was part of a much more informal conversation. A wonderful experience that comes highly recommended
This was such a fun authentic tour run by a fantastic couple. It was so informative and they played lovely Fado music and took photos for us. Such a great way to experience Lisbon
Beautiful views of Lisbon. We enjoyed our tour and would recommend. Rita and Francisco the owner/guides were adorable
No better way to see the river. Cannot recommend this more highly. Capt Cisco and first mate Rita are charming, informative and friendly. Fado music, amazing views and incredible photo opportunities made this the best day of our trip. We learnt so much while truly relaxing on the stunning river really seeing the historical landmarks up close.
This is a hidden gem of a tour and I cannot recommend it enough. The friendly couple who run the tour made us feel very welcome from start to finish. They gave us a lot of great information about Lisbon and were happy to answer our questions. The small fishing boat, which they restored themselves, will give you a very unique and authentic experience. Highly recommended 😁
