Very nice small museum in a nice neighborhood.
Visited the museum on 7th Aug while on a trip the city. Would very much recommend the exhibition. Took the guided tour as part of the experience and would also encourage this. Learned a lot about the art form from the very knowledgeable guide.
I just simply loved it. Very Banksy
Can get ticket on line and at the museum. No line. Pricy entrance for exhibition of reproductions. Love what Banksy stand for.
Unique and special experience to see these works in one place … to understand in a small way to motivations of this artist and appreciate his skills in an art form that requires him to be edgy ,seripituous and sometimes ( most times) illegal ! Absolute must in Lisbon
First desk ladies were kind of rude on their phones , no acknowledgment of a paying customer. Just the overall experience was meh.
Loved this experience, great shop and free poster! Really interestijg finding out more about Banksy and his work.
We had a great day here in this fun museum that hosts reproductions of Banksy's famous pieces. Some films available. A very good place to get an orientation to this contemporary artist. We saw a lot and learned a lot.
What a lovely way to spend an hour or so. The museum is well set up, not too big and really interesting. I definitely recommend coming here
It was very interesting to see Banksy's work displayed and context explained in this way!
The art here is not Banksy originals since most of his art is on walls however, the replications are very good and the staging to replicate the environment is well done. I definitely recommend this museum for Banksy fans.
Really nice place for 1 h walk and understanding the street art. It qas interesting for the whole family and managed to find out new facts. Everything well described.
Good visit for an hour, well worth the trip Admission reasonable and they did a deal for families Good layout and information
Great exhibit with descriptions about each of the art pieces. Well worth the visit. And a great gift shop so you can take home some memories.
Have always loved his work - was wonderful to see it and the history / meaning behind the pieces. Was particularly thought provoking
Great exhibition well worth the trip.. Such an amazing artist and fantastic to have the write-ups and history of his artwork there alongside the reproductions..
Very well prepared place with strong atmosphere and really well presented Banksy's work. Definitely a place to go much recommended
Amazing to catch the Banksy exhibition on our last day in Lisbon, very thought provoking and great to see the images and wee films with the works in situ. Spent a couple of hours absorbing the whole exhibition, totally recommend!
A great display of this very talented artist’s approach to political and social events. Give yourself plenty of time to view this museum as the art is very engaging.
Originality based pieces with a great shock/ humor insight to open are eyes to the world around us. And definitely laughr at it .!!!
Lots of works in there, more than I expected - really interesting, very good. And pretty much deserted - it's a hidden gem!
Interesting and unexpected wee museum with very nice copies and information on Banksy. Close to our hotel and near to the Metro, so handy for a wee visit.
Really cool museum of Banksy works, shown as the original was created. Also excellent writeups for each piece that provides great context of the art. Highly recommend.
Didn't know this museum existed until we saw a brochure at the Lisbon Airport. Of course it's all reproduction since Banksy art usually exists for a short while on the street. The plaques describing the works are helpful and the art itself interesting, disturbing, fun, funny, irreverent. And there's a gift shop. If you appreciate quirky and edgy street art, don't miss this.
This place gathers (copies) Banksy images and puts them all in one place. It is a pretty good curated collection. Banksy is prolific - this is a tiny though good selection of the work, and certainly enough to kill an hour in Lisbon if you are a fan. There are explanations of the work, and though I admit that the artist is so clear in his work that you might feel you don't need or want them, I enjoyed them. Good value for money but not outstanding
Found a leaflet on this Banksy museum in the tourist information shop in Lisbon whilst looking for different things to do. The museum was actually on 0.7 km from our hotel but we’d seen nothing about it advertised locally. I’m not really into art. But I do love what Banksy does. And the stories behind his art. Obviously this isn’t his original stuff but it’s done very very well. We thoroughly enjoyed our hour or so looking around, seeing some things we’d not seen before. It’s €12 entrance fee, but we thought it was worth it. Great shop at the end too if you want a souvenir of your visit.
This is a great gallery, small for it being €12 entry but it was a great to see some amazing fascinating, thought provoking, hard hitting Banksy pieces and even some I’ve never seen before was such a treat and I would highly recommend checking it out.
Magnificent exhibition, quite complete, much better than others I have been able to see before, I recommend it.
A great experience for fans of the artist.
A Banksy museum in Lisbon would have been great! His art sensitizes us and forces us to open our eyes to the state of society. They are silent but strong protests. As he said, "If graffiti changed anything, it would be illegal," so I hope that when you leave this museum, you don't forget the reality that was shown to you! I swear I was about to shed a tear seeing the art he produced in Ukraine, true art has that power.
Recreation of the main works
Excellent guided visit. And very intriguing space.
When I first visited it, it was not the Banksy Museum, it was the Picoas Gallery, with an exhibition about Banksy, which gave rise to the formation of the Museum! It is one of those places that is highly recommended, even for those who do not know the artist and his work! The detail with which the paintings are presented, with the objects around them, greatly improve the experience! The panels with the explanations help a lot to perceive the context of the works and to perceive the work of this great artist! Visit that you do not regret! ;)
The museum is done in 1 hour, it is very nice to have an overview of the works of banksy, translation of explanations only in English.
This young museum reproduces on two levels almost all of Bansky's most important works, accompanied by information panels that allow you to grasp the spirit. We loved it, it's not crowded, we took many photos. Highly recommended to all lovers of the artist, and to those who are curious and want to know him better: he will not regret it.
Immersive museum and well located 😊 very well strung for lovers of streetart or art in general. I recommend
Friendly staff at the counter and in the shop, interesting works with a message, nicely built and dressed, lots of variety
All Banksy's works in one space... amazing! We tour the world Bansky in Lisbon and curiously the latest in the wreckage of the war in Ukraine!Do not miss the opportunity to make this trip!!
Beautiful place, gives a lot of the idea of Banksy. Important for culture, for the cultural revolution that must take place! Interesting and instructive atmosphere. To be repeated!
For me this museum is a must-see of Lisbon. Works by Banksy grouped in a museum. That's a very good idea. We have browsed the works reproduced with great pleasure. This is a place not to be missed in Lisbon. Too bad there are so few visitors! D'auta more than the Welcoming is very friendly. YOU SEE.
There is no access for electric wheelchairs, there is a large step at the entrance from the street and no ramp. They also have inside a lift for people in wheelchairs but my husband's chair is heavier and he can't use it. He had to stay on the street. Very friendly staff, did what they could. I liked the museum a lot.
Interesting to see works scattered around the world (even if they are reproductions) with explanations. That calls out.
Very nice experience with important political or societal messages and so much news! Unmissable artist...
Only reproductions (poorly proportioned), the few comments that "explain" the works are not enough to make it a must in my opinion. 13€ is far too expensive for a not at all immersive experience. After some research on the Internet, these "museums" are not approved at all by the artist, as are reproductions that are made without authorization. Slot machines ... In short very disappointing.
Very nice visit , lasted an hour , neat and well done museum , maybe a little expensive compared to what it offers
The exhibition is smaller than I thought, but it’s excellent, Banksy’s art is remarkable and Basquiat’s space for art was great. I recommend!
The artist is very interesting and his works are dense, has beauty and political character as well. My wife did not know him and after this museum, which is very well explaining and has very relevant works, she fell in love with Banksy.
