Itinerary
Enjoy the ride along the Tagus River and the view of 25th April Bridge, inaugurated in 1966. It is often compared to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco (USA) because they are both suspension bridges of similar colour.
In no other place in the world, you can try Pastéis de Belém. It's a trademark and the original custard tart, from which all others Pastéis de Nata derive from. Invented by the monks who lived in Hieronymites Monastery, Pastéis de Belém are cooked in this pastry shop since 1837. With us, you skip the long line.
Be amazed by the Manueline architecture style of Hieronymites Monastery, built next to an important harbour for the navigators during Portuguese Age of Discovery. The construction of the monastery and church began in 1501 and was completed 100 years later. Is was classified as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983.
Appreciate this beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site, built during the time Portugal became a big empire overseas. Belém Tower is a 16th-century fortification, that served both as a fortress and as a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon.
Located along the river where ships departed to explore and trade with India and the Orient, the monument celebrates the Portuguese Age of Discovery during the 15th and 16th centuries. It was built between November 1958 and January 1960 to celebrate the fifth centennial anniversary of the death of Infante Henry the Navigator.
The front building of this museum, like a wave of the Tagus River, is absolutely sublime. The Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology was open in 2016 and includes the thermoelectric power station nearby.
Cais do Sodré is a riverside district famous for its nightlife and restaurants. The 19th-century Ribeira Market has a food court that is the hub of activity, with eclectic food stalls offering international dishes and local specialties. Pink Street is home to bars and restaurants where you can listen to fado. Ribeira das Naus promenade, on the banks of the Tagus River, is popular when the weather warms up.
Chiado is a historic and fashionable neighborhood in the center of Lisbon, Portugal, known for its vibrant cultural scene, elegant architecture, and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Situated between the neighborhoods of Baixa and Bairro Alto, Chiado has long been a hub for artists, intellectuals, and creatives. The area is famous for its beautiful squares, traditional cafés, art galleries, theaters, and luxury shops. Landmark sites include the historic Café A Brasileira, the famous Livraria Bertrand (the world's oldest operating bookstore), and the São Carlos Theater. Chiado blends Lisbon's rich cultural heritage with modern sophistication, offering a dynamic mix of old and new, where historic buildings coexist with contemporary design. It's also a popular spot for both locals and tourists, providing a lively yet refined setting for dining, shopping, and entertainment.
Bairro Alto is a historic and lively neighborhood in the heart of Lisbon, Portugal, renowned for its vibrant nightlife, bohemian atmosphere, and rich cultural heritage. Perched on one of Lisbon’s seven hills, Bairro Alto is a maze of narrow, cobblestone streets filled with an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary establishments, including bars, restaurants, and boutique shops. It is particularly famous for its thriving nightlife scene, attracting both locals and tourists with its abundance of Fado music venues, trendy bars, and late-night cafes. Despite its lively reputation, Bairro Alto has a long history that dates back to the 16th century, and its charming buildings, with colorful facades and wrought-iron balconies, reflect the neighborhood’s character. By day, Bairro Alto offers a more relaxed atmosphere, with antique shops, art galleries, and cozy cafes, but as evening falls, the area transforms into one of Lisbon’s most animated spots.
Baixa is the downtown district of Lisbon, Portugal, and serves as the commercial and architectural heart of the city. Known for its grand, neoclassical buildings, wide boulevards, and elegant squares, Baixa was extensively rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake, which destroyed much of the older part of the city. This reconstruction, led by the Marquis of Pombal, transformed Baixa into a well-planned grid of streets that remain one of Lisbon’s most important urban landmarks. Baixa is home to some of Lisbon’s most famous squares, such as Praça do Comércio, a majestic riverside square, and Rossio Square, a lively hub surrounded by cafés and shops. The district is also known for its beautiful Arco da Rua Augusta, a monumental arch leading to the river, and the Santa Justa Lift, an iconic wrought-iron elevator offering views of the city. Today, Baixa is a bustling, modern center with a mix of retail shops, restaurants, and offices, while still retaining a sense of its historical grandeur.
The Basilica of Saint Mary Major of Lisbon, or Sé de Lisboa, is the metropolitan cathedral and patriarchal seat of the city of Lisbon, Portugal. Its construction began in 1148, one year after Afonso Enriques conquered the city. It is considered the oldest church in Lisbon.
Largo das Portas do Sol is a historic square located in the Alfama district of Lisbon. This location is known for offering one of the most iconic views of the city, with panoramic views that encompass the Tagus River, the Baixa Pombalina and the Castelo de São Jorge.
Located in the Graça neighborhood of Lisbon, Portugal, the Miradouro Nossa Senhora do Monte is one of the city's most iconic viewpoints. It offers stunning panoramic views of Lisbon and the Tagus River, combining a profound history with scenic beauty. This place is a testament to Lisbon's rich history and cultural heritage, making it a must-see for anyone exploring the city's historical sites.
Graça is a traditional and vibrant neighborhood in Lisbon, Portugal, known for its rich history, narrow cobbled streets, and breathtaking panoramic views of the city. Located on one of Lisbon’s seven hills, it offers a mix of old-world charm and modern-day appeal, with a strong sense of local community. The area is famous for its historical landmarks, such as the Graça Church and the National Pantheon, as well as its lively atmosphere, with numerous cafes, restaurants, and viewpoints (miradouros) that attract both locals and visitors. Graça is often considered a more authentic and less touristy part of Lisbon, offering a glimpse into the city’s traditional life while being well-connected to other parts of the city. The neighborhood is a blend of old and new, with residential areas, local markets, and street art contributing to its distinct character.
The Monastery of São Vicente de Fora is located on high ground at the intersection of Lisbon's historic neighborhoods of Graça and Alfama. It is called "de fora" because, in addition to being outside the city walls, the parish on which it stood was not at that time under the jurisdiction of the Lisbon bishop.
The National Pantheon of Portugal (Panteão Nacional, in Portuguese) is located in the parish of São Vicente de Fora, Lisbon, specifically in the Church of Santa Engrácia. The current building stands on the site where a church had already been erected in 1568, by order of Infanta Maria, daughter of King Manuel I, on the occasion of the creation of the parish of Santa Engrácia.
The Chafariz de El-Rei was the first public ornamental fountain in the city of Lisbon. It was built in the 13th century during the reigns of Afonso III and Denis I, taking advantage of the excellent groundwater of Alfama.
Praça do Comércio, still commonly referred to by its former name of Terreiro do Paço, is a square in downtown Lisbon located next to the Tagus River, in the area that was the site of the palace of the kings of Portugal for about two centuries and which is now partly occupied by some government departments. It is one of the largest squares in Europe, with about 36,000 m² (180 m x 200 m).[1] The square is bordered by 79 arches.

Arthur was amazing! Made our trip and went above and beyond.
Our guide, Arthur was the best and he made sure to cater our tour to our exact interest in needs even stopping when we need a time to stop at different locations. He went above and beyond to answer our questions and give us a great well-rounded historical tour of the city making sure to stop at picture points and even offered to take pictures for us.
Our tuk tuk guide yuri was amazing ! Was very informative and had a great sense of humour. Made the whole experience very enjoyable. Would recommend:)
This is a great way to see the city! Great view from the tuk tuk, which was quiet and comfortable. Our guide Leo was excellent, very knowledgeable and professional. Try this tour!
We had a really wonderful 4 hour tour of key sights , I had been here many times but others hadn’t, hit the high spots . We were met at the cruise pier so that was convenient. When the tour was over he dropped us off across from the ship with a 4 lane road between and said he was leaving us here because he didn’t want to pay a parking fee again to bring us next to the ship. Ages 73, 75, 76 and 77 No tip, great tour
Great experience Guide very knowledgeable and enthusiastic Highly recommend and gives great overview of the whole city
Absolutely fantastic!! Dmytro was a delight. Outstanding knowledge of the history of the city and country. We learned so much and caught all of the sites and views. I could not recommend more!!!
Our tour with Carlos was fantastic! His knowledge of Portuguese history was incredible and we saw corners of the city that we would never have been able to get to otherwise. We highly recommend this tour. Obrigada Carlos!
Learn about the history of Portugal - in relation to the districts of Lisboa. Great way to maneuver the smaller streets!
It is a great experience. You will see entire city and have a great commentary from a very knowledgeable guide. We totally recommend it. Four hours will fly like a few minutes. You will see all the important cites in the city and visit the oldest and the best bakeries. Don’t forget to buy pastries.
Lisbon has so much to see and is difficult for a novice to navigate. The tour was a great way to get around and see a lot. Guilherme was super knowledgeable and friendly. Bonus to get a behind the scenes tour of Pasteis de Belem while skipping the line.
Our driver Tiago was wonderful! He was punctual, friendly and very knowledgeable about the city of Lisbon. Tiago had a great sense of humor which fit right in with our group. We enjoyed the three hours with him. It was a wonderful way to see and learn about Lisbon in our short stay.
Fantastic tour highly recommend. Amaro was a brilliant guide so knowledgeable and a safe driver! I was on my own and thoroughly enjoyed this bespoke tour being able to spend time where I wanted. Go do it - you won’t regret it! Value for money even as a solo.
We had a terrific tour of Lisbon with our tour guide Nuno. He is very knowledgeable about the history of Lisbon and all of Portugal. It was a true learning experience. He is also very entertaining and lots of fun! I cannot imagine a better tour guide for a trip to Lisbon. We all had a great time and learned so much! I highly recommend Nuno for an unforgettable tour of Lisbon!
We booked this tour on our first day of visit to Lisbon. Great way of introducing all the beautiful sites that Lisbon has to offer. Our tour guide was wonderful.
The driver has very good historical knowledge and he is very good at consideration of our needs and has a sense of humor.
We join a full day of private tour in Lisbon. Our tour Guide Arthur Moura is a nice and professional Guide. He has a rich knowledge of History, so he gives us details explanation of every spots and brings us a fun tour of the city.
Bernard was an excellent tour guide. The tour was well planned and he made sure we were having adequate time at each venue. The views were spectacular, and Bernard made every effort to make the trip as less strenuous as possible due to our age. His English was excellent. His top priority was for us to get the most out of our tour, and he succeeded.
Was a nice experience. Guide really knew history of the city. Saw many areas that we didn't know existed. Would recommend it if you only have one day in the city.
Our tour guide, Bernardo, was amazing! We had a wonderful day & learned so much about Lisbon. If we could give him 10 stars, we would!
There are many tuk-tuk operators in Lisbon and this operator is the best. Our guide, Nonu, picked us up at our hotel on time. The trip around the different areas was so much fun and informative. He is both fun to be around and incredibly knowledgeable of the city. He also clearly explained the history and culture of both the city and country of Portugal. He was very helpful with our shopping needs for ourselves and for family souvenir gifts back home. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Bianca was amazing! She is extremely knowledgeable about Portugal history as well as world history. She was excellent driving as well and just a pure delight. We are so thankful we had her as our guide and I highly recommend the company and Bianca.
Our guide Tiago was super! Really energetic and informative. Despite the traffic we had a wonderful tour and thoroughly enjoyed our time.
Arthur was an exemplary, friendly and charasmatic guide, offering his extensive knowledge of the city in an entertaining way. I would highly recommend this tuk tuk service above others in the area 😀
Our tour guide was amazing! My family and I really enjoyed this tour! I highly recommend it! Excellent hospitality
We were blessed with the most incredible guided tour, weaving together history, culture, and different neighborhoods of Lisbon. Bianca was a gem. She shared the history of Lisbon and the rich culture of its people as she drove us in a fun journey of discovery. Highly recommend ♥️
We had a private tour with our guide Arthur on our first full day in Lisbon. It was an incredible overview of the city and Portugal’s history. He tailored it to our requests. I hope you take this (the Eco tuk-tuks are quiet and there are no exhaust fumes) and that you get Arthur. He was friendly and super knowledgeable. A must-do while in Lisbon.
This was by far the best excursion of the whole trip. We had a very thorough tour of the city with by far the best guide ever, Tiago. He was adorable , witty , able to mold the tour to our interests & very easy to be with for 6 hours. I would say this is a Lisbon MUST & you have to request Tiago!!!!!!! It was so worth the money!
What a fantastic tour! Our guide Tiago was a wonderful and fun host. We got to see the whole city. Highly recommend.
Fantastic experience. Dimiz was an excellent guide. Great history knowledge. Well worth the 6 hours. We've been on several tuk-tuks before but this was the best!!! Recommended a superb resturant for tapas. Would give 10 stars if possible
Great way to see the major attractions around Lisbon with minimal walking. Tour guide was great and felt very safe.
Miguel made this trip remarkable with his knowledge of Portugal history AND world history! My husband is a history buff & we still learned so much! We were so happy to have a guide that is from Portugal & could also share personal experiences of this beautiful culture & he could answer all of our questions. Miguel also has a wonderful sense of humor that made the experience a lot of FUN! The sites we visited were so interesting but learning the history is what made it SPECTACULAR! THANK YOU MIGUEL!
You absolutely cannot do better than Arthur as a Tuk Tuk driver! His historical knowledge, understanding of the entire Portuguese world, and his intimate familiarity of the city is fantastic. As a former airline pilot who has toured all over the world, I can affirm that Arthur will exceed your highest expectations for a tour of Lisbon.
We recently did the six hour tuk tuk tour in the beginning of March. We decided it was a good way to get a lay of the land and see lots of important highlights since we had such limited time in Lisbon. Also, traveling with young kids and walking around the “city of the seven hills” for 6 hours sounds like a challenge in itself! We had Bianca as our guide and she definitely went above and beyond! We learned so much as she gave us a fantastic background in history of the people of Lisbon over many centuries while also detailing some recent/political history. She took us to a fantastic place for lunch in which we got to eat some local authentic cuisine. She did a great job at involving my young kids, ages eight and five, and making sure that they were having a good time. We felt like we all became such great friends. We felt so comfortable and it was never awkward “hanging” with someone you don’t know for the entire day. Bianca was even giving piggyback rides to my kids at one point during the day!! Bianca also spent almost an extra hour with us and gave us suggestions and told us not to hesitate in contacting her if we had questions. By the end of the tour, the kids did not want to leave Bianca and they still talk about her now that we’re back in Florida. Bianca is very personable and has a great depth of knowledge. You can tell she is very proud of what she does and the history of her country. We would definitely recommend this tour and if you can request Bianca, I strongly suggest you do so, you will not be disappointed. We truly hope that our paths cross again in the future!
We’ve been on a ton of tours the last few years, and Miguel was definitely one of our favorites. It was like having a friend, who happened to be a historian take you around his favorite places to eat and see around town. We absolutely recommend that you book a tour with Miguel
We had a wonderful time touring the historic areas of Lisbon with Tiago. He was informative, humorous, safe, and made us feel welcome in his beautiful hometown. We learned a lot about the history of Lisbon and thoroughly enjoyed the magnificent views.
We splurged for a full day tour with Nuno and we do not regret a moment of it. We had our 3yo son and 14yo daughter with us. I was concerned about keeping both of them entertained for a full 6hr tour. Nuno did a fantastic job vacillating between playful dialogue and intriguing stories. The little one fell asleep and Nuno graciously stayed parked outside of a market while we took turns grabbing food inside so he could get a decent nap. He even found a place to stop for ice cream later on to appease our tiny tyrant. Nuno has a fantastic background in architecture that added depth to understanding how the city’s history and politics merged with available technologies to create the Lisbon we see today. The tour was an amazing experience and we got to see so much of what Lisbon has to offer in just one day. Our only complaint is that it’s over and we won’t have an opportunity to spend time with Nuno for at least a year or two.
4 of us had an amazing time with NuNo. 6 hr tour which was perfect. Learned so much about Lisbon. Took us to a great little authentic place for lunch. Thoroughly recommend.
Our tour guide Nuno was knowledgeable beyond our expectations. He went out of his way to ensure our day was interesting, informative and well planned.
Fantastic day in Lisbon on this amazing tour. Our guide, Miguel Fuller was both incredibly knowledgeable and equally fun. No way we could have seen the City so thoroughly and enjoyed it so much without him. I highly recommend him and this tour
We did a full day tour and our tour guide Andre was excellent. He's friendly, fun, arrived on time and very helpful to ensure we were safe and comfortable, and was extremely knowledgeable. I would highly recommend asking for Andre. He really helped us to understand all points north, south, east and west of Lisbon.
Amazing Tour! Dimis made our trip to Lisbon incredible, with a fun deep dive in history, curiosity and culture. He is also a great photographer! I highly recommend this tour for people who have trouble walking, as Lisbon is hilly all over. But also for Instagramers who don't like to spoil their outfit and reach all the best locations in impeccable bling.
Everything I had hoped for and more. With just a few days in Lisbon, this tour gave us a chance to see a lot of the city and more importantly understand the city and its people.
This TukTuk tour was amazing thanks to our outstanding guide Silvia Baptista. She was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the history of Portugal. Silvia was excited to share her favorite “ off the beaten path” treasures that we would have missed if we were on our own. Our day was filled with history, art, food, photo ops, vistas, and much more. This tour might seem a little pricy but it’s worth every penny.
Helena was an amazing tour guide! My friends and I found her through viator and she was very informative on Lisbon’s culture, history, and renowned sites. I would definitely recommend her to anyone visiting Lisbon!
We have been very impressed by our guide Miguel, passionate very well prepared and nice. Lisbon does not have secrets any longer.
Absolutely wonderful day and our escort Nu No very knowledgable. Definitely recommend this company. Reasonable rate and full day tour.
Its been a dream of all my life to go to Lisbon so I needed a local guide to show me around and tell me about the history of the city. I was with husband and my daughters -that don't like to walk too much-, so we decided to tour the city on a Tuk Tuk: its easy to feel the city on one of those, the sounds and the smells are great and its amazing to imagine all of the stories when you can see the structures and buildings very close. Nuno didn't just tell us about the city, he did magic and had my daughters amazed of all what he told us. He was very kind and sweet, and he answered all the questions we had. He made the trip super fun and had everyone very interested on what the story was about. He took the time to tell us about the places near Lisbon that we could visit, and he was amazingly warm. It was an unforgettable afternoon that I will forever cherish.
The best way to see the highlights of Lisbon! Mario took great care of us and navigated us around the Lisbon districts!
