Half A Day To Explore Lisbon Aboard Our Fun Tuk Tuk

We took the 4 hours private tour with Alex Fontoura. He picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel with was perfect! His knowledge and love of Lisbon is evident as he described the various sites to us. And, of course we had lots of chuckles with him! His tuk tuk was very comfortable - minimal 'bouncing'. We felt very safe with him - and he was a very careful driver. Thank you Alex!

Absolutely fantastic job showing us the main areas of Lisbon, food and great recommendations for restaurants. Also made reservations for lunch in Sintra, and Nazare. We booked a tour from 1:30 pm to around 7 pm, and it ended up being one of the best experiences of our trip! There were 11 of us, so we took two tuk tuks, which worked out perfectly. Ale and Dani were incredibly accommodating and made the whole experience feel personal and relaxed. You can tell they are true locals—they shared real insights and stories you wouldn’t get on a typical tour. We especially loved supporting a small, family-run business, and they were amazing with the kids too. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Lisbon!

I am a deep researcher and organized trip planner and when we stumbled on super low airfare to Lisbon we jumped at the opportunity even though it only gave us 2 weeks to plan.  We spent 4 of our 5 days with Alex. He had wonderful communication from the beginning, answered all of my questions pleasantly and planned activities based on our specific interests.  On our day of arrival from the US we did a TukTuk tour for a couple of hours which gave us an easy, stress free activity that didn't take a lot of effort. We had an amazing overview of Lisbon and saw so much we NEVER would have seen on our own. His ride was comfortable and he was friendly, upbeat and informative. I wanted to see beautiful buildings and lots of tile work and he took us to the best places. It suited me perfectly.  On our second day we did a half day trip to Sintra. His car was clean, comfortable and the ride was great. Due to his excellent planning we were the first ones at Pena Palace and missed all lines and crowds. I am not sure how he did it but we were always ahead of tour groups and had stress free and effortless movement. It felt like we had the palace to ourselves most of the time. All of his suggestions were spot on. We saw so much of Sintra and loved our time there. He was even able to work in another palace visit back in Lisbon that was on my wish list. He got us there in perfect timing for the required guided tour.  Day 3 was a last minute add on as the weather was bad and we didn't want to drive ourselves. Alex fit us in his schedule and did a transfer to Nazare where we were visiting a friend for a couple of days. It was so nice not to have to navigate on our own. Another stress free and easy addition to our trip.  Lastly, when our visit in Nazare was done Alex picked us up and took us to Obidos. He showed us around and told us about the history. I never felt rushed when I wanted to take 1000's of photos. (I'm an artist) He went at our pace. Then he took us back to our new hotel in Lisbon. He even made a wonderful vegan restaurant recommendation and transferred us to the airport the next morning.  Overall, we thought the service Alex provided exceeded our expectations. He was fair, professional, friendly, and accommodating and we would definitely use his services again. We will also recommend him to family and friends.

As a family we took the half day tour with Alex. It was a great tour, Alex is very knowledgeable and we managed to squeeze in all of the main sights. Would recommend 🌟

This excursion was a wonderful day! October 14th, perfect 80ish degree weather. 10-3 trip for my wife and I, we got back to our hotel at 4:10 without any hint of too much time! Andres was our guide and he did a fabulous job. We saw absolutely everything there is to see, he stopped for our exploration whenever we asked, took our pictures everywhere, and gave us terrific explanations. His English is 95% perfect. This is a great way to see Lisbon. The open air silent electric Tuk Tuk gives a whole new slant to sightseeing. My wife and I travel a lot, this is trip #109. We don’t give compliments lightly, well worth the cost and a great 1st day in Lisbon option!

Alex created a super fun day (1/2 day tour ) , showcasing Lisbon. We navigated around this incredibly scenic city and fast tracked the queues at the bakery. Truly the best way to see the sights of Lisbon. I prebooked this tour months ago! His communication and promptness is first class. What a fun experience and comes with a high recommendation. Did this tour with Alex and it was a perfect introduction to Lisbon. It allowed us to see all the special sites without having to walk the entire city and it's giving us the possibility to determine where we want to spend more time. Alex, our driver was amazing and really nice. He is knowledgeable but does not overwhelm you with information, we all have Wikipedia for that :). Definitely worth it.

I was looking for a different way to see Lisbon beyond the traditional hop-on, hop-off bus and decided to take a tuk-tuk tour and let me say I’m so glad I did! Our driver, Alex, was absolutely “Tucking” amazing! Friendly, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable, he made the ride so much fun. He shared great insights about the city and took us on a fantastic route with stunning views and perfect photo opportunities. The tuk-tuk was comfortable, and the entire tour was well-paced. Our family (including 2 teens) enjoyed this tour of Lisbon with Alex! For the first time in Lisbon, we were able to see all the sites we wanted and Alex even took some great family pictures of us while offering some background and history of the sites. He is an excellent driver and this is a great way to get around the city and to see so much in a short amount of time. Alex provided some good recommendations for places to eat as well and I’m so glad that we got a great overview of the main attractions in Lisbon.

Alex was an amazing guide, we could have never experienced all of Lisbon on our own in such a short amount of time. He took us to all the Must Do’s, no waiting in long lines, and exceptional photo opportunities without all the crowds. We loved our Tuk Tuk tour in Lisbon so much, we had him take us on an all day tour of Sintra and Cascais a few days later which was equally amazing. We chose this approach to get the best of a guided tour with a small group. Saw the best of Lisbon (accord to some self-guided articles) and stopped frequently to see and hear about the place of interest. We contacted a Guide some friends used about a month ago, and Alexander picked us up. He was very engaging, personable, and has a good sense of humor. Ask for him.

Ale was just simply amazing. From booking a week before. Advising the best places to go on our short break. He collected us from our hotel and away we were off. Visiting different places, exploring the amazing history of Lisbon. Although a small glitch with the tuktuk, his wife dani was on the scene and away we went within minutes. We were super excited to take a day trip to Lisbon from Barcelona and Alex was GREAT! As soon as we booked his tuk tuk he sent us a message and we started communicating. My group of 4 had a wonderful old city and city tour and tour of Belém with Alex. He was so easy to get along, very patient to answer all our questions and very friendly. He pointed out important historical sites along the way and gave us time to take photos at picturesque locations. The best tour option we chose was to visit Belém. He drove us skillfully in his tuk tuk to see the Pastel de Belém factory and restaurant. He skipped the long line for us and got us in the back way where we watched ladies make the pastel de Belém. Afterwards he skipped the line and bought us the pastel de Belém to try. They were heavenly!!! We finished the tour with a stop at important sites in Belém and then he drove us back to our hotel. Definitely the best way to see Lisbon is a tuk tuk tour with Alex.

I have come to Lisbon many times and always take a tuk tuk tour but this time it was different. Alê is a super fun people and passed me a lot of information about the neighborhood of alfama and its churches. Also he took me to a local restaurant to eat the bifana sandwich. I recommend 100%
