Group Surf Lesson In Costa Da Caparica

Fantastic surfing lesson for our son’s birthday today! Superb instructor. Both our boys loved every minute. Highly recommend for beginners.

Waves were to poor for a proper surfing lesson. The instructors were super cool and after my request to lend a surf board to have some fun by ourselves instead, they happily complied.

What a great lesson our kids had today! They enjoyed their time in the water so much. We immediately booked an extra lesson for tomorrow. Thank you so much for this experience!

Really nice experience. Chill and positive atmosphere. The instructors give you some rules after stretching on the beach and then they assist you in the water. I would do it again!

Pedro and his team were real professional. Provided the right techniques. The area is great to learn with some smaller waves. My kids enjoyed it so much they want to continue surfing after the class was done. We rented boards from them a few days later to continue practicing. Thank you again Pedro and team

Great coaching with quality equipment. It is well organized and conveniently located. As a false beginner I developed with bespoke coaching tips, plus I could see total beginners standing early on.

Excellent school. They were flexible to us and carefully taught my beginner child. They choose the best times for surfing.

Had a realy nice week here. Had lessons for 4 days. The surfinstructors were very nice. Surfschool is located near the beach so you can change your surfboard realy quick. Very good price. keep in mind that you are tied to certain times because of the tide.

I highly recommend Gecko surf school. Fantastic team of surf instructors, giving you clear instructions on how to catch and stand up on a wave. Pedro, Marcus and Fabrice made my 6 lessons such fun, I’m not the usual age of pupil but their teaching was so clear and they were very persistent in helping me gain the skills so that I managed to consistently stand up and surf. Not only was I delighted but they cheered me on too. Although it was a group lesson they make sure their instruction is personal taking the time to observe each pupil and tell them what they need to do to improve. Super experienced team that are very welcoming, keep you safe in the ocean and are fun to be around.

I had a great time surfing with the Gecko surf school! The school supplies you with a wetsuit and board. The instructors were informative, knowledgeable, and friendly. The instructors will help you throughout the experience so don’t worry if you don’t know how to surf or struggle with the waves. With the help of the instructors, I was able to catch and ride some waves that I otherwise wouldn’t be able to do on my own. If you are thinking about learning how to surf I would highly recommend the Gecko surf school.

Amazing day with the team from Gecko. Myself, my 16 and 12 year old had a lovely morning surfing with the team. All of us beginners, but with the help and guidance of the Gecko team we were up and surfing in no time. They were patient guides with lots of great tips which we have taken to a weeks surfing in Ericeira. Can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you Team Gecko

The teacher (Marco) was a very nice and relaxed person who helped us a lot with the basics and gave some great tips on how to advance. Everyone had a fun time in the water and it was a fun experience all together.

Awesome surf lesson! The instructors are super kind, friendly and helpful. It was my first time surfing and I absolutely loved it. Completely safe and well supervised, and the teachers give great tips to help you catch your first waves. I went with a friend but there was also a family with little kids with us in the group lesson and they also had a great experience. I highly recommend Gecko surf school!

Decided to try a surf lesson while we were on holiday. It was a brilliant experience. The instructors were all very helpful and welcoming. Our teacher, David was really patient and encouraging. He explained everything clearly. The beach here is beautiful too so that’s a bonus. Would highly recommend booking with these guys and we will have another lesson if we come back again.

Had a great experience surfing for the first time with Gecko Surf School. The instructor, Marco, was patient in giving an introduction to safety measures and surfing technique. Felt safe in the water, as the instructor was close by at all times. He also gave tips for each trial, which improved my surfing attempts. Highly recommend for beginners!

Amazing instructors, the waves were perfect for my first time surfing, went at 10:30am during low tide. The instructors knew exactly how skilled we were and would gently push us to keep surfing larger waves that we were comfortable with. By the end of the 2 hour session, I was able to consistently ride waves from 20-40ft out, all the way into the shore! Absolutely amazing team, great for beginners and people who might be a little rusty, 10/10 will absolutely come here again!

I joined a group surf lesson with Gecko Surf School and had an amazing time! The staff were super friendly and helpful, our instructor had us all riding waves for the whole session. It was a very fun experience and I highly recommend Gecko Surf School to anyone interested in learning to surf!

Great team of instructors, fun, welcoming and professional. Had great first lessons of surfing in a group for 30eur. Did catch some waves even not being super athletic. And be ready to taste the ocean 😂 lots of it! Beach is quite crowded though, so visit in times that are not peak beachy hours 😉

We were absolute beginners ans the surf lesson was great. Marco is a super teacher and we had a lot of fun. Our whole family succeded to stand on the board. Also our 8 year old daughter. It was a spectacular morning, I recommend!

We had booked a four-day course and had a great day every day! The instructors will join you in the sea and help you catch the waves that allowed us all to stand on the board the first day. There was a clear explanation given so that we could all catch waves ourselves the last day. Luis was fantastic! He laughs all day and the kids laugh too! 😊 The equipment is absolutely fine and after class you can take a shower.

Without a doubt, they are the best in Caparica. We return every year because the whole family is delighted with the service and professionalism of the team. We have seen impressive progress in our girls year after year. It is an experience that we totally recommend and that is very worthwhile.

Wonderful experience! Initially, I had a bit of fear, but the guy who guided us made me feel comfortable right away! We were a small group of 4 people, so we were really well taken care of and attended to! We were provided with a wetsuit and board, and after warming up and some technical and safety instructions, we entered the water! The waves were wonderful, and we were followed one by one until we gradually gained independence in our movements. A wonderful experience, highly recommended!

Today I had my first experience of surfing on the Gecko with the Mariana on the Costa da Caparica, and it was simply fantastic. Besides the excitement of learning something new, what really made the difference was the team of extremely professional instructors, attentive and always creating a relaxed and comfortable environment. They made us feel super comfortable from the very beginning, which made the whole experience even more special. Without a doubt an amazing team and an experience to repeat!

We were totally happy at surf school. We booked two hours of classes for us parents (over 40) and our children (9 and 12 years). Although the weather was very bad (rain, stormy), we had a lot of fun and managed to get up on our own, stand on the board and surf all the way to the beach in the end. The surf instructors were incredibly dedicated, were in the water with us the whole time, helped us on the board again and again, always gave suitable tips, looked after our youngest especially closely (almost 1:1). We felt safe and secure.

Group class experience. The material included well, in good condition and suitable for the activity. The very nice monitors, watching the students, were responsible for helping and providing advice to improve the technique. The weather in the water is correct.

Maximum dedication! My daughters went to experiment for the first time. Dario was tireless. For two hours he never gave up. Always with good disposition and persistence. They loved and ended the surf class.

We love surfing concerteza we will come back Fabrice and Marco a very thank you for the good disposition and remove us all doubts and help us surf. Truly recommended, starting from scratch in two hours we learned the basics, the next day we rented the boards ourselves, very kind and flexible with the times 🤙
