We used Antonio twice during our stay and found him to be excellent. He went over and above to assist us in every way. His tours were amazing showing us areas not on the typical tourist map. His vehicle was comfortable and he supplied water bottles all day. He was very generous with his time and best of all pointed out bathroom stops at every sight we visited. 10/10 for us!

The Monastery of Santa Maria da Vitória, also called Batalha Monastery, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful works of Portuguese and European architecture. This exceptional architectural ensemble resulted from the fulfillment of a promise made by King D. João I, in gratitude for the victory in Aljubarrota, a battle fought on August 14, 1385, which secured the throne and guaranteed the independence of Portugal. The works lasted for more than 150 years, through several phases of construction. This duration justifies the existence, in his artistic proposals, of Manueline (predominant) Gothic solutions and a brief Renaissance note. Several additions were introduced in the initial project, resulting in a vast monastic ensemble that currently features a church, two cloisters with outbuildings and two royal pantheons, the Founder's Chapel and the Imperfect Chapels. National monument, part of the World Heritage List defined by UNESCO, since 1983.
Amazing natural caves
The Sanctuary of Fátima, entitled by the Catholic Church as Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fátima, is a Marian shrine dedicated to Our Lady of Fátima, located in Cova da Iria, in the city of Fátima. The Sanctuary of Fátima is, par excellence, a place of Christian pilgrimage and Catholic devotion, preserving the memory of the events that led to its foundation, namely the apparitions of Our Lady to the three shepherds - Lúcia dos Santos, Francisco and Jacinta Marto - in 1917 Its magnitude and relevance from a religious point of view has long been widely recognized, nationally and internationally. It is also one of the most important Marian sanctuaries in the world and a major international destination for religious tourism, receiving around six million visitors a year. He was distinguished with three papal gold roses and visited by Popes Paulo VI (1967), João Paulo II (1982, 1991 and 2000), Benedict XVI (2010) and Francisco (2017). Its construction started in 1919.

We did a shorter tour, but that was the charm of it, that we took our time for each place we were at. Antonio was a great guide, and the organization was impeccable. A particularly nice surprise was the local restaurant recommended by Antonio for lunch. Many thanks to Antonio for an unforgettable tour! I recommend 101%
This tour was a highlight of my month stay in Portugal. So happy I found Antonio. As a solo traveler, this was an excellent adventure and I was able to visit some extraordinary places. I highly recommend him to solo and small group travelers. If I could give 10 stars, I would.
Omg. The entire day was amazing. Antonio, our guide was so kind and knowledgeable. He made the day very special. The gardens with Buddha are just spectacular. The caves are unbelievable. I would highly highly highly recommend this tour with Antonio. Please request him.
We had a wonderful full day trip with Antonio. Due to forest fire warning in the area we couldn’t do the planned trip, but luckily Antonio has a plan b, which frankly seemed to be even better :)
The trip was so very well organized. Antonio gave us a choice of several stops that had different things to see and visit. Once we made the selections we were off. He took a lot of backroads which had stunning scenery and avoiding traffic jams. Lunch was delicious. Great restaurant with lovely servers! We visited Obidos and walked along the moors castle then took a stroll thru medieval streets. Off to batalha monastery. Beautiful cathedral. Visited Fatima sanctuary and final stop Nazare. This location has beautiful beaches. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend António!
This place is huge and a bit overwhelming. I like the fact that you can you for hourse just gazing at amazing stuff. No need for the train though. Also I would like more guidance - digital - when cruising.
Sintra roads were closed so we were able to reschedule different venues for the day. It was lovely to see other areas of the beautiful countryside
This was a whole day (10 hour) tour - just my husband and l - to Buddha Eden Park, Obidos, Fatima, Nazaré, Batalha, Castelo de Tomas and Convent and a restaurant for suckling pig! What a day…. Antonio was informative and entertaining and certainly showed us a brilliant day out, again. This was our second tour with him and was just as good as our first! António was prepared for all questions and his ability to go where we could not in his tourist approved van proved invaluable. He was able to drop us closer than we could have hoped to the entrance gates which meant precious time (and legs!) saved for visiting more sights. So glad we found him!
Antonio provided us much insight on our private tour. First stop was Eden Park. It was magical and peaceful and totally surprising! What a nice walk with Antonio through the different areas of the Buddhas and Africa. Next stop was Obidos where we walked through beautiful town on Easter Saturday. Antonio made sure I was able to browse the shops and visit a jewelry store that specializes in filigree. Did some damage to my Amex card Fatima was next on the list. Truly inspiring to witness the pilgrims seeking requests on Easter Saturday. We ended the day at Nazare with the fabulous views of the beach, waves and town below Antonio is able to pivot if the weather isnt cooperating or something else just doesn't work. A highlight of the day was having a tradional lunch of suckling pig at a local restaurant It was a delicious pick by Antonio and a great experience to dine with local families on a holiday weekend This private tour is worth every penny!!!
It was a great experience as first timers in Portugal to be in the hands of an excellent tour guide/driver, Antonio. His friendly nature coupled with knowledgeability of history, culture, food and more gave us a fantastic time visiting places from Lisbon all the way to Braga. Thank you again, Antonio/ Window to Lisboa! -will highly recommend ;)
Went to Fatima, Obidos , Nazare and the best leitao (roast suckling pig) you will ever taste … sorry, Casa Botin… Also visited Buddha Eden Park before heading to Obidos. This asian and african themed sculpture and botanical garden didn’t disappoint! Antonio was a very safe driver and attentive to everyone’s needs. New trip is Monsanto and Piodao which are some of the most beautiful historical villages in Portugal close to Coimbra.
Antonio was wonderful. I’m traveling alone and I couldn’t have had a better experience. He is knowledgeable, patient and the days is yours, however you want to spend it.
Antonio is truly a class act. He was knowledgeable, professional, funny and even multilingual. He was happy to extend to us the extra mile. I was amazed by his breadth of knowledge and he even taught us Portuguese. We learned so many things about the food, customs , culture of beautiful Portugal through him. We, Ramon and Rosa recommend him highly!!! Obrigado Antonio! You are a gem.
Very serene park and beautifully landscaped. A real neat place to see and walk around. The sculptures were amazing and they ranged from ancient Buddha’s to modern art.
This was one of the most amazing experiences in my entire life! Antonio is the best tour guide, and when he brought me to these gardens, he told me exactly the route to take, and it was nothing short of amazing! He let me go off on my own, and I had a truly spiritual and uplifting experience! At the end, he show me my first ever cork tree, as well as many other cool things that I would never have known on my own!
Antonio was a fantastic guide for our first trip to Portugal! Unfortunately the palaces were closed when we arrived so he quickly came up with a plan B. He was so courteous, friendly, patient and flexible that made our tour even better! We were traveling with two children and he even made a stop at the mall for us to buy a new suitcase since ours got damaged in flight! I would definitely recommend Antonio if you’re looking for a tour!
Antonio is the best! He picked us up at our hotel and got us to the entrance of each site and waited for us at the end. He only takes members of one group, so the day is completely how you want it. He took us to a great local restaurant for lunch. He gives great information as you travel. He is such a kind and thoughtful guide, we will for sure call him again if we return. Thank you Antonio!
Great day ever. It was amazing. Anthonio knows alot. Thake you to places your normaal don't see. The food he recommended was also amazing.
We mostly wanted to see Nazaré so made some slight changes to the trip and it did not disappoint. We stopped first at Obidos, a gorgeous little village where did a walk around the city wall. We then headed to Nazaré and spent time in the museum and watching the surf. Antonio never rushed us, everything was at our pace. We had an amazing lunch that we will never forget. Definitely worth doing a tour with Antonio.
The grutas and the temple of Fatima were interesting and worthwhile but Onidos was a gem quality experience. Antonio was an outstanding guide — knowledgeable, personable, and a very pleasant companion.
António was the BEST guide! We had 4 children (under 8) in our group and the trip went smoothly. He had carseats available for our kids, even our 1 year old, and had a great day planned for us. He was very accommodating when our plans changed (isn’t that how it goes with kiddos?). He arranged the most amazing lunch for us and had great insight and communication the entire day. António is so nice and patient. He also gave us many suggestions of places to see and visit while here in Portugal. We will be calling António when we return.
Antonio was a great guide who was very patient and tried to accommodate our requests and made sure we get to try the local cuisine. I enjoyed our tour to Braga Portugal and the 516 Arouca Bridge as well!
Very nice day Where Antonio c is adapted to our desires. I recommend very professional! Guide knowing perfectly the regions crossed, never greedy details or anecdotes about the places visited.
Thanks to Antonio, we were able to visit Nazaré and its surroundings in a very pleasant and comfortable way. All his explanations concerning the places visited brought us a better knowledge of Portugal both culturally, economically and socially. We visited places we would never have gone alone I think. A big thank you to Antonio.
We had a very pleasant time in this vast park where status is king. For those who don't want to walk, the little train is there for them. To visit with family or friends. We will return there with our grandchildren.
Antonio was very kind and considerate of us, we saw very nice places. Without a doubt an excellent experience Highly recommended
We visited places very well selected by the guide, Mr. Antonio was very kind and the places were very beautiful, everything was excellent
We depart from Lisbon to Fatima, passing and stopping along the way at Óbidos, Monasteries of Alcobaça and de Batalha, Nazaré and Caves da Moneda. At my request, we passed in an oriental garden near Óbidos and passed in Valinhos next to Fatima. All I have to do is thank Antônio for the professional and friendly service. Indicate for sure!
