I loved the trip. We saw so much in just one day. You’ll be lucky if you go with Catarina Palma as your guide. She’s full of energy and information, she took great care of us. And the speed she could switch from Portuguese to English and Spanish was admirable. She gave me great recommendations for things I needed and huge amout of information.

Enjoyed the history and tour guides were energetic and knowledgeable.

Diogo was absolutely amazing as a tour guide (and human!) and our family had the most incredible tour day. We loved hearing all about Portugal’s history and we soaked in all the architectural and historical details of our two stops in Sintra: Regaleira and Pena Palace. We received timed tickets in both locations and were able to explore at our own pace, while enriched by the many historical and architectural details pointed out by our very knowledgeable and passionate guide, Diogo. We would highly recommend this tour experience to a magical area!

José was our guide, and my goodness was he excellent. My husband and I love to go on a guided tour whenever we visit someplace new, and we felt so lucky to have a guide who is not only knowledgeable but most importantly passionate about the info. He was so fervent when presenting knowledge throughout Quinta da Regaleira. My husband and I were both glad we chose to go with a guide because otherwise, we would have been overwhelmed with how large this place is and how much it offers. Really a “choose your own adventure” type of situation. So thankfully José had mapped out a strategic route throughout the palace grounds that left us feeling satisfied and filled. If you ever have a choice in the matter, ask for José as your guide!

Very comprehensive experience of Sintra. Amazing energy, good pace; and a very in depth and entertaining lesson on the history of Portugal and how it all links together.

My mother and I booked a tour to Sintra with Living Tours Lisboa and we were warmly welcomed at the agency by friendly staff who provided clear and helpful explanations. We were picked up directly at our hotel and our guide Carlos showed us all the beautiful spots in Sintra and the surrounding area. He spoke with great enthusiasm about the history of each place and shared fascinating insights throughout the tour. To finish the day, we enjoyed a lovely meal, making the whole experience absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we would highly recommend this!

Within our 4-Hour tour we learnt the whole history about Portugal through time. Gustavo our guide was absolutely amazing. His knowledge was second to none answering any questions we had along the way. With a very casual approach it made it a really fun and chilled afternoon out exploring what this beautiful country has to offer. Highly recommend, worth every penny!

This experience was really cool. Since it was a small group it was more of a personalized experience. The guide Pedro Franco was really nice, he took the time to talk about the history and to answer every little question we had. He was in charge of everything, the entrance, the tickets. Everything was perfect. He arrived in time, the visit was like 4-5 hours without any rush. Amazon experience, totally recommended!

Pedro was a wonderful tour guide! He was knowledgeable about Portugal’s history and explained what were we’re seeing and the history behind everything we saw. He is enthusiastic, loves his job and it reflects in everything he says and does. He is tri-lingual (i.e., Spanish, English and of course, his native language, Portuguese). We had Americans, Italians and Brazilians in our tour and he spoke in English and Spanish so all of us understood what he was saying. Pedro is friendly, upbeat, courteous and a joy to be around. Book with this company and ask for Pedro. You cannot go wrong!

Our tour with Pedro was fantastic and we learned so much! We did the 5-hour tour but we really wish we did one of the full day tours (because Sintra area deserves two days and because we enjoyed Pedro so much). We visited the Sintra Palace (not Peña!) and the Regaleira and the Sintra town. Had great views of the Moorish castle and the Peña palace. Would definitely recommend this tour if you don’t have much time but would recommend you do one of their full day tours if possible!

It was a very good trip! We have been to Sintra during a 4 hours trip by private bus. With Sofia as the best guide ! Just book it, its great to do!

Be prepared with your own research. They stop on pre arranged restaurants. Where they abused tourists overcharging. No really a good company.

Sofia was a fantastic guide! We had beautiful weather and the tour went smoothly. Learned a lot and saw beautiful architecture. Stopped for some local treats at the end.

Little disappointed only seeing one castle when we arrived booking was for following day but it did get rectified to that day. Lots of waiting around and walking.

Good experience, as always i didn’t read well and though we would enter in the Pena Palace but this tour in particular only includes Sintra Village and getting inside the Regaleira. Pedro was a great guide and he brought us to a secret place to enjoy Pena Palace at the distance. I would love to spend more free time in Sintra, maybe an hour?

We did the short tour to Sintra with our lovely guide Nuno Gomez. He gave some interresting facts and along the way and helped us skip the line when it got to crowdy (also important 😜).

We loved our Spanish-speaking guide, Sofía Maltez. She's an excellent guide. Very friendly and fun, but also very professional. She knew how to answer any question. She's also a good driver.
