Operator was very accommodating with picking us up from the cruise terminal with luggage and dropping us at our hotel after the tour. He was very knowledgeable about Lisbon and Fatima and recommended a great local lunch spot before returning to Lisbon. He allowed us plenty of time while there to go at our own pace and see what we wanted to see.

Itinerary
The Sanctuary of Fátima is one of the most important religious pilgrimage sites in the world and one of the most visited destinations in Portugal. It is deeply connected to the Marian apparitions that occurred in 1917, when Our Lady of Fátima appeared to three children — Jacinta, Francisco, and Lúcia. The sanctuary is composed of several notable elements, including the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, which houses the tombs of the three visionaries; the Chapel of the Apparitions, where the Virgin Mary appeared to the children; and the vast Fátima Square, the gathering place for countless religious celebrations. Regardless of religious belief, the Sanctuary of Fátima is a place of profound historical and cultural significance, radiating peace and serenity. Its impressive architecture and spiritual importance make it a site of great interest for visitors seeking to explore Portugal’s culture and faith.
The Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, in Fátima, Portugal, is one of the central landmarks of the Sanctuary of Fátima — one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in the world. This impressive and remarkable structure attracts pilgrims and visitors from across the globe. The basilica is known for its Neo-Baroque and Neoclassical architecture, with a majestic façade that stands out in the Fátima landscape. Upon entering, visitors are welcomed by a spacious and richly decorated interior, where natural light streams through colorful stained-glass windows. At the main altar stands a revered statue of Our Lady of Fátima, venerated by the faithful. The basilica frequently hosts masses, religious ceremonies, and special celebrations that draw large crowds. It is a place of beauty and deep meaning, reflecting the devotion and faith that have made Fátima such a special destination for people from all over the world.
The Chapel of the Apparitions, located in the heart of the Sanctuary of Fátima, is a place of deep spiritual and emotional significance. It was in this modest chapel that Our Lady of Fátima appeared to the three shepherd children — Jacinta, Francisco, and Lúcia — in 1917. Today, the Chapel of the Apparitions serves as a site of devotion and prayer, where the faithful gather to honor the Virgin Mary. The simplicity of the chapel, with its whitewashed walls and blue-tiled roof, reflects the purity and humility of the apparitions. The site also houses a statue of Our Lady of Fátima, venerated by countless visitors. Many pilgrims light votive candles and make special prayers, creating an atmosphere of spirituality and contemplation.
The Sanctuary of the Holy Trinity, located in Fátima, Portugal, is a modern and impressive addition to the Fátima complex, which is best known for the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima. Inaugurated in 2007, this sanctuary is dedicated to the Holy Trinity and offers visitors a unique spiritual experience. One of the most striking features of the sanctuary is its contemporary architecture, defined by bold design and clean lines. The interior is spacious and filled with natural light, creating an atmosphere of serenity and contemplation. Visitors can also explore the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament — a central space for worship and prayer. In addition, the Sanctuary of the Holy Trinity offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area, including the Sanctuary of Fátima and the city itself. Its elevated location makes it a privileged spot to admire the landscape and reflect on spirituality.
The Fátima Museum, located within the Sanctuary of Fátima, offers a profound insight into the Apparitions of Our Lady to the three shepherd children in 1917. Its collection includes historical and religious artifacts such as liturgical vestments and the crown of Our Lady, which contains the bullet from the assassination attempt on Pope John Paul II. The museum also features multimedia exhibits that enrich the visitor experience. Open daily, its schedule varies throughout the year. It is an essential stop for those seeking to understand the history of Fátima and experience the spiritual depth of this sacred place.
Fátima, in the heart of Portugal, is one of the most important pilgrimage centers in the world. Known for the 1917 Apparitions, when three shepherd children reported seeing the Virgin Mary, the city attracts millions of visitors every year. Whether for faith, history, or cultural curiosity, visiting Fátima is a remarkable experience that combines spirituality, heritage, and Portuguese tradition.
The Walk along the Way of the Little Shepherds in Fátima is a journey that follows the footsteps of the three visionary children — Jacinta, Francisco, and Lúcia. This route leads visitors to some of the most significant sites associated with the apparitions of Our Lady in 1917. Along the walk, pilgrims have the opportunity to visit the Shepherds’ House, where the children lived, and the Parish Church of Fátima, where two of the visionaries — Jacinta and Francisco — are buried. The route offers visitors a chance to connect deeply with the history and devotion linked to the Marian apparitions in Fátima. The Way of the Little Shepherds stands as a testament to the city’s religious and cultural importance, offering an atmosphere of reflection and spirituality for those who wish to explore the roots of Fátima and the enduring faith that continues to draw pilgrims from around the world.
The Shepherds’ House, located in the village of Aljustrel, just a few kilometers from the Sanctuary of Fátima, is a site of great historical and spiritual significance for visitors to Fátima. These are the houses where Lúcia, Francisco, and Jacinta lived, preserved much as they were at the time of the 1917 apparitions. The house of Lúcia and the house of Francisco and Jacinta allow visitors to see the simple settings in which the children grew up, including personal belongings and original furniture. Visitors can stroll through the village, experience the rural environment where the shepherd children lived, and gain a deeper understanding of their lives and the social context of the time. The visit provides an authentic glimpse into the children’s daily lives and the impact the apparitions had on the small community of Aljustrel, offering an immersive experience for those interested in the human dimension of the Fátima events.

It was excellent. We saw the various sites at Fatima. Julio, our guide, was a wealth of knowledge about the Fatima experience.
Our guide,Diogo, was well informed about our excursion to Fatima. He was friendly, went at a comfort pace, and made sure we saw all the important sites.
Our driver to Fatima was Rodrigo. We would give him a twelve star out of ten review. Rodrigo was fabulous, knowledgeable, courtesy, respectful and professional. The entire experience was comfortable and well planned. We highly recommend Turusta! Tours and specifically Rodrigo.
Fantastic thoughtful knowledgeable guide. Fatima was an incredible. Leo Romero was our guide and he was so so good!
There was some delay because of traffic issues getting off the ship. But our tour guide made up for it..Julio was very knowledgeable. He was able to pivot to what we were interested in. He made the day very fun.
Leo was amazing. It was our first trip to Portugal and Leo made Fatima the highlight of our trip. He was incredibly knowledgeable and personable helping us to make the most of our time in Lisbon.
You can do a DIY trip for less than half of the price. Take a bus from Lisbon to Fatima at about €6 per person. The rest you can navigate yourself.
Our guide , Giego, was wonderful! He attended to all of our needs and got us back and forth to Fatima safely.
Was a trip of a lifetime to go to Fatima. Our guide was great but not sure how long he had given tours there. Was looking for the area to get holy water and he did not know there were special areas to get holy water. Was disappointed about this only.
Rodrigo was excellent! He found my wife and I a great lunch spot in Fatima away from the crowds. He is also a very good driver and his English was outstanding! I would highly recommend him.
It was very nice to have a private guide Dan. He was prompt and personable. Also, had a lot of knowledge about the region as well as Fatima.
From the beginning, Diogo made the day better than we could have imagined. He was kind, full of information and a true pleasure to with whom to explore the wonders of Fatima.
George was an excellent tour guide. Was very knowledgeable about Fatima and treated us very well throughout the day. Would recommend him to others.
Rodrigo was amazing and informative. He knew some of the back stories as we were driving to Fatima. He was very accommodating when we wanted to stay for the Mass instead of visiting the museum. Rodrigo dropped us off while he went to find a place to park the car to give us more time there.
Where do I start? Incredible tour of Fatima with Jorge. He is very knowledgeable about Fatima, he took us to all the things listed in the tour, explained all the history in detail, and more. He is considerate, kind and you can tell he loves what he does. For me, this is a once in a lifetime experience and my husband and I booked this private tour because I feel group tours rush and you don’t get the real experience. Jorge picked us up at our hotel, took us first to the manufacturer for religious items we wanted blessed so we wouldn’t pay more with street vendors….then to the village where we saw the children’s homes. He arranged our museum tour, found a priest to bless our items, took us to various spots of great importance that otherwise we wouldn’t know to see (like the exhibition for example), helped us with every detail including candle lighting and made this an amazing unforgettable experience. We even ended up arranging to extend the tour length! 5 stars would totally recommend! Don’t waste your valuable Fatima time on other group tours!
Excellent Experience with Our Tour Guide, Francisco Our visit to Fátima was truly unforgettable, thanks to our wonderful English-speaking tour guide, Francisco. From the moment we met him, he brought warmth, professionalism, and deep knowledge that enriched every part of the experience. Francisco explained the history and significance of Fátima with clarity, passion, and respect, making the stories and sites come alive. He struck the perfect balance between providing detailed information and giving us time to reflect, wander, and take everything in at our own pace. His thoughtfulness, patience, and genuine kindness made us feel comfortable and well cared for throughout the entire trip.
Great experience! Giovana, our guide was wonderful, truly an asset to your company. Bright, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and entertaining! She made our final destination memorable… wish we good take her along on our next vacation! We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Fatima and we owe it to Giovana! Hope to see her again in the future! Howard and Celeste Norup
Wonderful experience. The guide was absolutely amazing. 10 out of 10 in every way
Logistics good, covered all the aspects of the town/residences and site. Little explanation from guide, basically dropped us off at locations for self guided transit through sites.
The Fatima tour was inspiring. In addition to the sites typically included on the tour, we wanted to see Ingreja Matriz de Fatima, which was the old parish church in Fatima. Our tour guide, Giovanni, was very accommodating and added the stop. The old church had a small souvenir shop which was reasonably priced. Our guide had an excellent recommendation for lunch. I would recommend the Fatima tour and highly recommend our tour guide, Giovana.

It was a wonderful private guided tour with a very personable snd knowledgeable guide named Jorge. We saw everything we wanted to see with some time for shopping and a great lunch.
Leo is a wonderful tour guide. He personalized the tour to what we wanted. Started with Adjustrel and then came to the Basilica. We were happy to attend mass at the Basilica and then light candles near the Capella of Apparitions. Leo managed the sequence very well so we didn't face any crowding issues. Started with the gift shop, then Adjustrel, and then the Basilica. We are grateful for the pilgrimage that covered everything we wanted.
Was a great trip to Fatima and went to a wonderful restaurant our tour guide was wonderful
I rate this experience as a 5 because our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and very kind. The only exception was the company provided a van that was too small for 8 adults. My sister who is 4ft11in had to sit up front in the middle with no leg room. Our tour guide Diogo was absolutely the best.
Well guided and a pleasant young man leading the tour.
Vehicle was too small for 9 passengers. Trip seemed unorganized for stopping for lunch. We drove around to 4 places before we found a place that was open and could serve us.
Had a great experience. Francesco was a wonderful guide! Very polite, friendly and knowledgeable.
Great trip to Fatima, Nazare, and Obidos. Loved it and we had a great guide! Felt safe as I was alone but the car was comfortable and the guides driving was safe.
Fantastic experience getting to see all the best Portugal has to offer. Ask for Giovanna, she was the best, most accommodating tour guide
We had a great time visiting Fatima. Our private tour guide, Jorge, was very knowledgeable able the place and its history. He was also flexible and understanding during the whole tour. I highly recommend Jorge!
The client contacts me and tells me that the driver or guide they sent to this activity does not have essential knowledge of it. It is very important that they cannot just send a transporter to Fatima, but someone who is well informed about Fatima and its history, the basics but convincingly. Please take note, otherwise what is the point of a private tour of Fatima in Spanish if the person taking them does not even know the basics of the activity, please.
I travelled April 7th with my 78 year old mum and another family who had a older member with mobility issues. Jorge was an exceptional guide—patient with the older crowd, flexible, and incredibly attentive to every detail. Our group had several special requests, including arranging a Mass offering and finding specific souvenirs, and he went above and beyond to make it all happen. He guided us through the sanctuary with deep knowledge and care, and was our translator throughout our time in Fátima. Would definitely recommend him and give him a raise!
Bruno picked us up at our hotel in Lisbon. He was a kind, compassionate and knowledgeable host. We chatted as though we were old friends or family. He gave us our space through our pilgrimage but was ever present. We attended Mass although this probably was not part of the schedule. Bruno also took us to a traditional Portuguese restaurant, I believe Taverna de Lanterna. Just a lovely day! If you have the chance to do a tour with Bruno, by all means go!
This is a wonderful place to go to further enhance your religious beliefs, and even to get some questions answered that you aren’t quite sure of
Giovana… thank you very much for a nice and memorable trip. You were patient and We enjoyed getting to know you 🤗🌹🥂

My wife and I went on a full day tour from Lisbon to Fatima on March 22, 2026 on my wife's birthday with Giovana as our tour guide. Giovana provided us with a wonderful experience we will always remember. Her knowledge, thoughtfulness, and kindness made the trip one we will share with our friends. Thank you Giovana from the bottom of our heart. Eric & Laura Kraus
Giovana was flexible and accommodating. She made our day unforgettable. She was knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you.
We spent a wonderful day with Giovanna exploring Fatima at our own pace. March was the perfect time to come - beautiful weather and no crowds. Giovanna was so knowledgeable and made sure we got exactly what we wanted out of the experience. She also took us to a fantastic lunch spot! Highly recommended!!
Bruno was our personal guide and driver from Lisbon. He was puctual, very polite, professional and a good conversationalist. His car was clean and comfortble. Upon arriving, Bruno explained what options we had for the visit. Bruno gave us background information and made good suggestions on how to experience the grounds. We took a tour of the artifact museum, visited the original Basilica and attended a service. Later Bruno drove us to the little village where the Fatima children lived. Thank you Bruno for making our visit comfortable and special!
