This was a nice tour but a long day! We saw a lot of sites and had an amazing lunch! The guides kept us on time and safe even though we did have a tire problem! All was good in the end! It was a great day!

Itinerary
dentity and mission of the Shrine of Fatima The Shrine of our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima is the answer to the call of Our Lady of the Rosary, already alluded to on August 13, 1917 and expressly asked in the apparition of October 13, of that year to Lucia de Jesus, Francisco Marto and Jacinta Marto: «I want to tell you that a chapel is to be built here in my honour. I am the Lady of the Rosary» (Fist Memoir of Sister Lucia). The little chapel was constructed in 1919 in the place of the apparitions of 1917 at the Cova da Iria and, since then, the place of the Shrine was built up, in response to a significant inflow of pilgrims. The Shrine of Fatima is a place of pilgrimage, which celebrates the memory of its founding event, the apparitions of Our Lady to the three little Shepherds. The pilgrim’s pastoral hospitality is a key element to its mission. The Shrine of Fatima keeps the memory of the event and the message of Fatima. It has the mission of studying and diffusing this message, worked as a means of evangelization in Portugal and worldwide. The Shrine of Fatima is, by an expressed will of the Apostolic See, a National Shrine.
Visit to the church of the Batalha Monastery and external visit to the Monastery
The construction of this Mannerist style monument began in the reign of D. Sebastião in 1577, aiming to defend the cove of attacks by Algerian, Moroccan, Dutch and Norman pirates who invested on the Atlantic coast. In 1644, and due to its position, the king D. João IV, the Restorer, ordered its remodeling and enlargement. As vigilant sentry of the fortress was S. Miguel Archangel, patron of many sanctuaries, generally constructed in elevated places. On the façade of the fort, on the portal of the entrance, D. João IV, he had a calcareous image of San Miguel Arcanjo, with the caption "ELREY DOM JUAN-1644", which marks the year of its construction.
The medieval village of Óbidos is one of the most picturesque and well preserved in Portugal. Close enough to the capital and situated on a high point near the Atlantic coast, Óbidos had a strategic importance in the territory. Already occupied before the Romans arrived in the Iberian Peninsula, the village became more prosperous from the moment it was chosen by the royal family. Since the king D. Dinis offered to his wife D. Isabel, in the century. XIII, belonged to the House of the Queens who, throughout the various dynasties, were benefiting and enriching it. It is one of the main reasons for finding so many churches in this small town. Within walls, we find a castlewell preserved and a labyrinth of streets and white houses that enchant anyone who walks there. Between Manueline porticoes, flowered windows and small openings, there are several reasons to visit, good examples of the religious and civil architecture of the village's golden age.

Great tour! The sites were amazing and the guides Antonio and Antonio were great! We saw a lot! It was a long day but worth it! Highly recommend!
A few guides on the tour bus covering multiple languages. Very friendly and gave us enough time at each site. Gorgeous places
Amazing tour. Good and friendly guide and also good driver👍. All the places are really worth visiting.
Well curated and memorable trip - captivating views , scenic locations , hidden gems . Our guides - Mr. Antonio Santos and Antonio - both were well read and knowledgeable about the history of Portugal and significance at every destination . All things recommended were good - except for the restaurant we stopped for lunch ( Taberna Poupa Roupa) - was over priced and not the best rated in the area. Thankfully we found some hidden gems close by. Overall a beautiful , serene experience with some of our own tweaks .
Very interesting. Gathered a lot of history and culture. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Had a great time with Antonio and Antonio! They were friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend!. Felt like just the right amount of time at each site.
Had a nice trip . Guides were very helpful .
The guides were great! The only thing that would have made it better is if the poor guides didn’t have to tell the information in four different languages. I know that can’t always be controlled.
We had an absolute blast on this excursion! The entire team was fantastic, professional, and kept everything running smoothly. A special shout-out to our driver, Bruno, for keeping us safe and comfortable throughout the journey. Huge thanks as well to Tina (our French guide) and our wonderful American/Spanish guide—everyone’s energy, depth of knowledge, and passion really brought the experience to life. The whole tour was top-notch from start to finish. What impressed me most was how seamlessly and skillfully the crew handled a very difficult situation. When a couple on the tour consistently failed to respect the schedule and group timing, the guides made the tough call to keep the main group moving on schedule, leaving them to catch up. It was handled with complete professionalism, fairness, and grace, ensuring that the rest of the group's time was respected and our itinerary stayed on track. I couldn't recommend this tour enough. Outstanding service, beautiful sights, and an exceptional team!
I really enjoyed this tour. From religious places of interest to a seaside town to a medieval village. A lot of variety !!
The tour was amazing. Amazing view . We have fun the tour guide was very friendly and helpful.
Great tour generally, staff good but other passengers consistently late getting back to bus on time, ultimately tour took more than an hour longer than expected and advertised...
Nice experience, great team. Worth it for a full day.
Skilled and safe driver, friendly, courteous, professional guides. Very personable. Knowledgeable about our destinations. The restaurant they recommended was suberb. I highly recommend this tour.
Overall positive experience. Friendly and knowledgable guides. Excellent stops spaced out well. Freedom to independently view attractions. Some trouble with the bus speaker system making some information difficult to hear. Would recommend.
This tour was one of the highlights of my whole trip in Portugal! Really enjoyed the itinerary of experiencing the small but amazing towns full of culture. The guides gave us the short briefing before of each place we’re going to visit, it’s history and secret facts, gave recommendations what to see in our free time of exploring. Thank you for the day, couldn’t recommend this more! 5⭐️
Great day exploring the gems of Portugal. Guides António and Antonio were knowledgeable and lovely. Obidos was the best of the stops. Save your energy for the end of the day, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend Lane tours
Absolutely loved it! Fatima made me feel very holy! The church in Balatha stained glass was streaming inside , and obidos is enchanting! Both Antonio's were extremely helpful!
Absolutely loved this trip! The guides were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. They shared lots of interesting facts and little-known stories that made the experience even more special. What I appreciated most was that they were engaging without being intrusive, giving us plenty of space to enjoy the experience at our own pace. Highly recommended!
The destinations were nice. The check-in process needs work. We were told to show up 15 minutes before departure. The guides arrived 10 minutes before. The pick-up location was a bit chaotic with other tours departing from the same spot and no one to guide us. The other major problem was the bus. It needed a new suspension or shock absorbers. We felt we were on a boat tour. In addition, the seating was cramped and uncomfortable. If you’re over 5’5”, it was a very long day. Finally, the two stops in Nazaré made no sense. We would have preferred one stop for 2 hours at the iconic location then a stop down in the old village for a forgettable lunch for one hour and one hour where we wanted to actually be. That definitely needs to change.
The highlight was the visit to Fatima. Nazaré was otherworldly. The cathedral at Batalha was awe inspiring.
Great experience overall! Our guides, the Two Antonios, were incredible. They were lovely and very informative on any information you may have been looking for. We were a full couch tour but split between the two guides which we found effective. The day ended up being about 11 hours long as there was some traffic delays but it was handled well. Highly recommend this tour company if you’re looking for an effective way to experience any of these locations!
The tour was worth it. We visited multiple places in a day and the tour guides (Antonios) were very knowledgeable. Would def recommend when coming to Lisbon.
We had a wonderful experience with Lane Tours exploring Alfama! Antonio Santos was an excellent and friendly guide. Highly recommend Lane Tours, especially with both Antonios as your guide! Thank you for such a great experience!
Good overall. You mainly get transportation and some good general overviews at each stop. I tried to ask about some details way in advance of the tour. Response could have been faster.
We enjoyed our tour, which is highly recommended. Staffs are very professional and helpful.
It's a beautiful drive north to Fatima, and that was amazing, much bigger than expected and good to be familiar with the story before seeing the site. The rest of the day was lovely, seeing the sea and a beautiful walled city. Some walking but not too bad. Enjoyed the tour.
This is a great way to see some beautiful places near Lisbon. Fátima was amazing and the tour guide, Antonio, was very helpful to make our experience the best!
The itinerary was good and showed us quite a bit of the countryside. The guide did a good job explaining when we were at the specific points of interest, but there was no narrative on the many hours of riding.
Great way to experience Portugal outside of Lisbon. It was a full 11 hour day where we got to spend time in the beach town of Nazare, the medieval walled town of Obidos and the religious shrine of Fatima which is worth seeing even if you are not very religious.
Very nice and organised tour and we covered many different places in just one day...i think it was worth it! The guides were polite and very informative.
This was a fairly easy tour on the knees. There were some areas in Nazare' where you could hike some. The restaurant our guide took us to (only if we wanted or we were free to try otherplaces was phenomenal) fresh local seafood and other traditional Portuguese dishes. Fatima was beautiful and not to crowded, lucky us. Oxides is where the cherry liqueur comes from,,, there's a bottle in our luggage. Awesome little village. We would highly recommend the tour.
Amazing experience with a great guide. Worth the money as you see so many different places without the extra cost. Long day that went so fast it was surprising. Would book through this company again.
Overall a great experience. Each stop was worth seeing. Lunch was delicious. You get an introduction to each sight and then free time. The tour would be much better adding an extra hour to have more time at Fatima and the Castle at Obidos. I chose this tour because it said 2hrs in Fatima. We did NOT have 2 hrs in Fatima. It was 1 hour and 10 min with a 30 min stop at gift shop. The bus air at my seat did not work. The sight wouldn't let me book a solo fair and they would not refund me for the extra ticket.
Really nice trip!! Good atmosphere, from 8am to 7pm, no extra fees. We were around 50 people. thank you so much Mario, Gui and Bruno for this nice, full of history and interesting details, and last but not least , really Fun experience
I really enjoy the trip but it’s a bit rush as there is so much to see and we have limited time. I went on a weekend and there was really busy. Maybe a weekday trip is better. The tour itself is great and enjoyable apart from the rush.
We really enjoyed the overall experience and our guides were knowledgeable and entertaining.
Very informative and religious itinerary. We covered old and established churches make me humble. Thanks to the both tour guides who speak different languages to accomodate travellers.
It is a good tour to take but the organization is sloppy Doesn’t start on time First stop was supposed to be at a restaurant for coffee and some food. However, it is just a coffee shop with very limited options and cash only People do not come back to the bus on time and the time is not strictly enforced Lunch at a fish place. Very hard for vegetarian/vegan folks like me
This tour was entirely misrepresented... advertised as 25 people or less, english guide and 10hrs. We recognized this tour was going to be a disaster as soon as we arrived at the starting point. Disorganized loading and separating of groups led to an 8:40 departure not 8am as quoted, even though they had us arrive at 7:45am. Once on the bus and on our way we found ourselves loaded onto a large motor coach with over 50 passengers. The tour was being presented in 4 languages which you could immediately tell the native laguage to the guide was giving a much longer and better description. (I am reasonably fluent in 3 of the 4 languages and the english equivalent description was half of what was given in the other two languages) Shortly after departuer we were told we wouldn't be back until 7:30 - making this a 12 hour day. (it was to have been 10 hours) At the first stop we departed 20 minutes late, so I doubt even 12 hours would have been sufficient... we had plans to meet others that evening. First stop was a 'walmart' of christian relics so they could get their kickback. On the bus we were told that the guid would 'take us to a priest' to have items of our desire blessed'. When off the bus and done his 'spiel' - we asked about the priest and he said, 'oh yes of course you can ask any of these priests that are walking around to bless your items' - in other words, you're on your own! We ultimately decided to leave at Fatima and make our way back to Lisbon on our own at our own cost. Extremely disappointed at the representation on the tour site of the tour being small group, specifically english, and 10 hours. At the rate they were loading and unloading this trip was very likely to be in excess of 13 hours. And unless you are multilingual you can expect ver little in the way of 'tour guiding'.
Sights were good but 4 stops made the tour very rushed. We also found that two many languages were on one tour. There were three guides ansd to different language groups. Our guide did not wait for everyone to get off the bus & we ended up having to ask another guide (Ana) for information. Ana was assigned to another group. The tour had a specific spot for lunch but to recommendations on what to order. Lunch became stressful because the waiter kept trying to sell us specific dishes for prices that weren’t on the menu. The last stop was wonderful but not much time there
Be prepared to walk. Tour guide felt it more important to see everything than stay on schedule. Tour 6 hours we went for 10 just to see everything at a leisurely pace. Tour guide very accommodating. Lots of little hints along the way.
Amazing guides, covering 4 (!!!!) languages nicely. Smooth timing, great driver and bus, well managed programme. Loved that!
Tour was multi lingual but with two tour guides. One for English and one for Spanish and French. This worked out great because the large group could split up at the stops depending on what language we each spoke. Guides made sure we could hear and gave most of the history of each place on the bus before we got there. They also made sure we knew when and where to meet at the end of each stop. A really neat thing that we liked is that they created a "what's ap" page for the tour and posted items of interest and meeting times/places on it so that we could access it at anytime during the stop, it made it easy for everyone to be ontime back at the bus ready for the next place.
We felt it was very rushed ….maybe stop at three places instead of four. The bus had three different language groups. It was very annoying to constantly listen to other languages and it was loud, and we didn’t understand what they were saying until they came to English. Two out of the two of the four stops the Guide got off the bus saying English follow me and he was way ahead before we even got off the bus…. we had difficultly spotting him. The bus was in poor condition….it was not maintained… example, tissues stuffed where the lights were. There was graffiti scratched into the back of the seats and the headrest had a bunch of like holes poked in it. Also very noisy. Very disappointed.
The tour itself was enjoyable and we did get to see everything we wanted. In the future, we would opt for a smaller group. We had approximately 55 people that spoke 4 different languages.
Its a bus ride to each of the places with some explanation. It's fine if you want a quick overview but it covers a lot of territory in one day.
Wonderful and educational tour with spiritual value as well. Thank you Margarita and company. You all made it worthwhile.
Bus was packed and no bathroom. Lots of stops so overall it was a very good trip. Guide was good. Lots of different languages to accommodate.
