Fatima Sanctuary Private Tour From Lisbon

The tour of Fatima was fine and we left Lisbon promptly at 4pm. It was a nice touch to visit the village where the children lived before going to the shrine for Mass and the candlelight procession. It was also interesting to hear the history and understand how things were with regards to religion and politics in Portugal in 1917. Unfortunately the downside was the driver using his phone to text whilst driving at speed on the A1. It made me extremely anxious and I asked him not to do it. As it was an evening tour, we were returning to Lisbon around midnight and I stayed awake to make sure that there was no more texting, which there wasn't; however, I was concerned that he messed with the dashboard screen rather a lot, to choose his music to listen to on the return journey. The tour was expensive, with an additional 200 euro charged in excess of the full day tour rate due to the evening tour (making the total cost 780 euro), and it was really disappointing to spend a lot of money for a tour for two people and end up feeling nervous about the car journey.

Duarte was our tour guide and he was great! It was my husband’s first trip to Fatima and my second. We only wanted to spend time at Fatima and it was so worth it. It’s heaven on earth, and having Duarte bring us to the museum next to the Basilica, and the wax museum was added blessings. He made sure we had time to hear Mass in English at 3:30. We were very comfortable with spending the day with him. It was like we’ve known him already. We learned a lot of things about Portugal through Duarte who is very knowledgeable. A big thank you to Duarte. We definitely recommend him and hope we can come back soon and have him tour us again, and this time to different locations here in Lisbon and beyond.

What a perfect day with Vasco Costa our tour guide from Magik. He picked us up in a great Mercedes Van from our Lisbon hotel and we spent the whole day at Fatima. He was very knowledgeable about all items as it was obvious he was a veteran tour guide. We did not miss a thing available as he accommodated our every desire. Victor picked us up from the airport exactly when and where agreed upon and took care of our luggage. We had an amazingly informative and spiritual experience in Fatima before having a unique and unforgettable lunch and then heading to Óbidos for an experience with some of the medieval history of the area. Then Victor offered dinner recommendations on the way to our hotel. He was knowledgeable about history and culture and had a great sense of humor. We would highly recommend.

Victor, our guide was delightful, respectful and well informed. We rode in a new and clean Mercedes Benz van. Our family gained a heightened appreciation of the significance of all the places we toured, such as the homes of the 3 children. The rosary exhibit and the little chapel touched my heart immensely. The trip was so comfortably paced that my mobility issue was not a problem at all. Our family enjoyed being together.

This was an amazing tour. We did the transfer, our guide picked us up in Lisbon and gave us a tour of Fatima and dropped us off at our hotel in Santiago de Compostela. Our guide was an excellent driver and and excellent guide. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Fatima and also his English was excellent and we enjoyed the conversation and the company. We visited the Sanctuary and the shepherd houses and had salted cod at a wonderful restaurant in Fatima. Our guide was great. We loved our tour. I highly recommend this tour.

I highly recommend this tour. From the punctual pick up at my hotel to the return, everything was of excellent quality. Carlos was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and he spoke English very well. The vehicle was perfectly clean and comfortable. The tour was as described and Carlos made sure that it met my needs, always checking to see whether I wanted to spend more time at any point. I attended a Mass in English as well as experiencing all the aspects of the Fatima sanctuary as well as walking through the village where the three children lived. Fantastic!

On our second trip to Portugal we were very fortunate to secure our guide from last year Diogo (Andy ) Andrade. We were so impressed last year couldn’t imagine doing this more intensive trip without his guidance Basing ourselves out of Lisbon for 4 days we toured Tomar, Fátima,Batalha, & Albaca. Each location had such a wealth of history and beauty. Each experience was so enhanced by Diogo’s vast knowledge of the history and his obvious passion and pride for his country. He has a talent for imparting so much history but in a way you can enjoy and retain most of it for the next venue. Along the way he selected wonderful restaurants and pastry shops -off the beaten track,where he ordered our meals to give us an experience of local foods-loved the deep fried baby mackerel !!!!! On our last day we drove up the coast stopping for a tour of beautiful Obidos,then on to Nazare for an amazing fish lunch overlooking the spectacular beach and ocean After lunch we wandered around the local merchants the had a surprise visit to the town of Avero-known as the Venice of Portugal. Another amazing pastry shop we tasted the angels double chin-a very sugary concoction. Our final,stop was at the port in Porto where we were to board our river cruise boat -so sad to say adeus to our lovely friend-till next time. Still so many place to see yet in Portugal and parts of Spain with this delightful,fun young man. Thankyou for a truly great experience-you’ve instilled a love of Portugal in all of us-the travelling old ladies😁

The absolute best tour and tour guide for Our Lady of Fatima. GUI was so knowledgeable, patient, and kind. GUI was outstanding with attention to detail with requests, intricate details of the Shrine and Basilica, the history, selecting the best restaurant for lunch and a final stop at a huge shopping center with many Our Lady of Fatima souvenirs. Fernando was an amazing guide. He was so nice and knowledgeable. We went to Fatima on New Year's Day. Fernando provided us with so much history and step by step information about the sanctuary. He gave us plenty of private time so we could take it all in. We did not know most shops in the city would be closed. I was so set on getting some Holy water and he did not stop until we found somewhere open that had it. Fernando then asked us our favorite food types so he could recommend a lunch restaurant. We ended up at Mosteiro Leitao... my husband and I agreed that it was the very best meal that we had in all of Portugal. It was raining so much that day. Fernando took us to Nazare to see the waves. Even though the weather was working very much against us, Fernando really did see to it that we had a great day. I would highly recommend this driver and this company! Start to finish was a 10.

Having a private tour guide is the only way to go. Because we had such flexibility with Jose Barreira, he was able to take us to see the Eucharistic Miracle in Santarem. An unforgitable experience. The key is having a private driver/guide like Jose to give you the flexibility to see whatever you want to see.

It couldn’t have been planned better. We were able to visit the homes of the children in Fatima, stopped to see the Eucharistic miracle in santarem, which Gonzalo arranged. Instead of dining in “touristy” locations he recommended we drive to a typical restaurant outside of the town. As a bonus we were able to meet the niece of Lucia who is over 100

Overall it was a wonderful experience. At sharp 8.30 am , Gonzalo, was at our Hotel to greet us. after a brief introduction, we (4 of us) boarded his Mercedes van. The van was clean and very comfortable. It was a one and a half hour journey to Fatima, Gonzalo was so knowledgeable, that we chatted with him throughout the whole journey to Fatima. He found a strategic location to park the van and took us into the church and we attended mass at 11.00 am. After a look around the church premises, we headed off for lunch. Gonzalo took us to a local restaurant just outside Fatima, and we had a wonderful lunch. Then we proceeded to the village where the 3 children lived, and we were amazed that the original houses of the 3 children was still standing. The last leg of our journey was , of course , souvenirs. We went to a local outlet that makes a lot of Christian artefacts. We returned to the hotel at about 7.30 pm. What a wonderful journey!!! Thank you Gonzalo.

You can go here alone or with family- not sure why this say "Tour" you can go there by yourself with a car too. Lots of restaurants around after you have visited the sanctuary

Extremely interesting day with our guide Rui (Roy) of Sintra Magik Tours. Beautiful drive from Lisbon in the company Mercedes van. Expert guided tour with discussion of history, religion, architecture, and folklore. Able to avoid crowds because of Rui’s intimate knowledge of the site.

We had the most amazing full day at Fatima. Our guide was extremely prompt, knowledgeable and respectful to our desire to visit Fatima. He picked us up at our hotel in Lisbon. His understanding of our desire to experience a long day on this sacred ground was something we could never thank him enough for helping us. We saw where the children lived, stayed for the outside mass, had communion, had a lovely lunch, then we shopped for gifts. He even drove us back to the Bascilica to have our gifts blessed by one of the priests. I believe our driver name was Pedro and the vehicle was a glorious maintained Mercedes. I’m sorry this review was meant for this fabulous company 2years ago. But, I want everyone to know, that not a day goes by that I’m reminded of the beauty of Portugal. I will return again and will always recommend your team. May you all be blessed with health an happiness, because your company went above an beyond what you promised. I really love my trip in 2017. They were very professional. During our tour at Fatina Gonzalo was very friendly and knowledgeable of everything that he showed us. This was a wonderful way to end our two week trip/cruise through Spain and Portugal. We had seen a lot, but Fatima, so important to our faith, had not been included. Instead of taking a morning tour of Lisbon we took this Magik private tour. We were picked up at our hotel and driven through the countryside directly to Fatima where our guide told us about the history and related important facts. We toured the churches of Fatima, saw where Our Lady appeared, and lit a candle before heading to the village where the three children that witnessed the visions had lived. There was time for a delicious local lunch and shopping before our return. I have issues with walking and Lisbon is on many hills so our guide drove us through much of the city (Lisbon) before taking us to the Waterfront to see the Monument to Discoveries and giving us a brief history of the golden age of Portugal and the stories of the famous navigators of the era,

Our private full day Fatima tour in May 2017 was remarkable from the time our tour guide picked us up at Lisbon Airport and took us straight to Our Lady of Fatima Shrine, next to the little town where the shepherds children live, then to the Fatima factory outlet where most of the Fatima religious items are manufactured and produced. Guide took us on a back scene tour to see the workers hand painted our Lady of Fatima statues and watching how rosaries are being put together. Then he took us to lunch at one of the favorite local restaurant. Then before driving us back to our hotel in Lisbon, the driver at our request since there was extra time to the Church in Santarem where the bleeding blessed sacrament is kept and revered. We had a fun filled day before returning to our hotel. Our driver and tour guide was very knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and very accommodating

Fátima is a spiritual sanctuary for Catholics. Our tour guide was so friendly it was like spending the day with someone we meet previously. He was very respectful of our wishes when we entered the holy grounds and gave us time to explore and have our own personal experience without interruptions. He was very informative concerning the history and was very responsive to all our questions. I would highly recommend this tour company.

Our travel group of six people took a private tour from Lisbon to Fátima with Joao. It was such a special day and we were so blessed to visit all of the sights there including meeting the 90+ year old niece of Lucia. It was a bucket list experience and Joao made our trip extra special in every way. We highly recommend him and Portugal Majik Tours. We will definitely be back and use this tour company again.

Great tour, lots of information. Did a wonderful job personalizing it for us, we wanted to stop off at Santarem, Portugal: Eucharistic Miracle of Santarem. They made all the arrangments and this was the highlight of the tour. Well organized. Would use them again. We had several people including teenagers.

My wife and I took this tour just before the Covid 19 shutdown and it was wonderful. I would highly recommend this company when visiting Portugal and I know I'll be returning and signing up for another tour in the near future. You are the best!

We were scheduled and paid in full for a private tour to Fatima in 2020 with a ‘no hassles’ refund policy if cancelled 30 days ahead. Due to the covid pandemic we were unable to travel due to travel restrictions. I contacted the company prior to the 30 days and was offered a credit, not a refund. Was told refund was not possible. With some further back and forth I was promised a refund, which I never received. I contacted again and was told no possibility of a refund despite their ‘worry free’ cancellation policy. Finally i had to dispute the charge with my credit card company to get a refund. Would have loved to go on the tour. When we do make it to Fatima, I will not use this company based on their lack of response and unwillingness to honor their own policies.

Really wonderful experience with Andy (Diogo). Extremely friendly guide who made sure we had the perfect experience. We went on the evening trip to participate in the candle procession, which was wonderful. The trip was intimate and was very meaningful for us. We appreciated feeling so cared for and are very glad we splurged for the private tour. Really made the experience special. Thanks Andy Diogo! Next time we visit Portugal we will definitely book excursions through Sintra Magik tours again. The service was impeccable and well worth the value.

We had a private tour for 4 and our guide, Joao (John) was wonderful. He brought us to a convenient spot to drop us off, as one of our group had trouble walking distances, and then directed us to the gift shop so that we might purchase religious mementos that might be blessed at the end of Mass. This was in late October and the weather was lovely. We attended an outside Mass and then Joao took us to the new church where the tombs of the 3 children are. Fatima is wonderful. Joao also took us on a private 1/2 day tour of Sintra. We left in the early afternoon on a Saturday. We weren't able to get into some of the local attractions, due to the timing, but it's a lovely small town and Joao is actually from Sintra, so we had an insider's view, which was fantastic. We stopped at Cascais on the return, a lovely beach resort and walked around with Joao who was knowledgeable about history and local scenery. Both tours were excellent. If our flight arrived earlier, we would have done the 1/2 day Sintra in the morning and had entrance to the palace and some other attractions .The company is extremely responsive by email and very professional. Thank you Gonzalo and Joao!

My family and friends wish to thank our tour guide. He went out of his way for us. My brother in law has Parkinson and he may sure he had a wheelchair and proceeded to push him around. I attempted to do it occasionally but he was always taking over. Your driver informed us of everything in the area. I couldn't have been happier. Pedro was our tour guide to Fatima and Valinhos, what a memorable day. Pedro picked us at the cruise terminal and returned us in plenty of time for the all aboard call. The information that Pedro was able to share was amazing. He is very passionate about what he does and loves to share in knowledge. I would book a tour with them again with out any hesitation. The next time we are in Lisbon we will be booking our tours with Sintra Magik Private Tours.

My Wife and her cousin did this Tour with Pedro in late September 2019. Service and transportation was excellent. Pedro was the consummate host, knowledgeable of the history, inner workings, and local customs. This made the experience much more enjoyable and eased the impact of the crowds. We were picked up in Lisbon at our Hotel on-time and conducted on a leisurely tour that catered to our interests and pace. Fatima was a moving experience and Pedro knew exactly what would of interest to two Catholic ladies. He was solicitous and attentive of an injured shoulder. Highly recommend this company and our guide.

Spent three full days in Lisbon taking private tours with Sintra Tours. Our guide was Diogo for the first day, and he was so good we insisted he be our guide for the other two days. He spoke excellent English, was very knowledgeable of the areas we visited, always on time, clean vehicle, and spent extra time with us to make sure we had the best experience. My sister and I booked the private tour to Fatima with evening candlelight procession. Our guide/driver Joao (John) was beyond excellent. He’s knowledgeable, professional, yet very caring. He’s willing to modify schedule in order to meet our request of visiting the three children’s old house. He went to the mess with us and took picture/video for us since he’s taller than us and can get better angle in candlelight procession. His driving was good and made us feels safe when traveling at night. It is very important for us as Catholics to visit Fatima. With John’s help, we felt safe, comfortable and learned more about local history. The trip fulfilled our dream! Highly recommend! Thanks a lot, Joao!
