Fátima, Nazaré & Óbidos: Unesco Heritage Small Group Tour

One of the better tours I have been on. It was filled with rich history. Amazing to be able to walk through the doors of the gladiators of the Colosseum. Our guide was superb!

Driver was informative and easy going. He showed other sites along the way and educated us on Portugal’s economy. He answered any questions we asked. So helpful!!!

Saw many sites, Driver was excellent, although often repeated information. Maybe sometime to quietly relax while driving from location to location would be nice. He was very timely at all our meeting points. Definitely recommend.

The visit to Fatima will always be with me. My favorite part of the whole tour was Obidos. Such a charming walled village. We could have stayed there all day!

Picked up and dropped off at cruise terminal! Pedro was an outstanding guide who spoke Englush, French, and Portuguese. He was very knowledgeable about Lisbon and was a real historian! The sites visited made a mark on my soul forever! So many ancient Holy places, where early Christians preached the gospel. I believe God preforms miracles every day and this trip was a history lesson and a faith journey all in one! Thank you so much!

The driver was very nice and pleasant. He was also extremely patient. But unfortunately the car that was provided by your company had three seats in the front. The person who has to sit in the middle is very uncomfortable. There is no space for the legs! I find this unacceptable! You should charge the price of that seat to the rest of the passangers instead of having someone to go an entire day in a very uncomfortable seat!

Manuel Martins was our tour guide and he kept us well informed and we felt safe through all the places we visited, keep up the good work!

For our Fatima Tour we had signed only English speaking guid. very unfortunately your selected Celina tour company changed it to multi language because of none English speaking passengers. This is very very bad we cannot concentrate to catch the English. They should have told us before tour started so we would not go with this very unpleasant tour. Attending Mass in Fátima was an extraordinary experience. Batalha, Nazaré and Óbidos were nice to visit.

We received a heads up call about our pickup being slightly behind schedule, but Luis picked us up promptly at our Airbnb location despite an earlier pair of travelers causing a bit of a delay. We then proceeded swiftly to our first destination, Fatima. Luis was very humorous and peppered a few anecdotes about the country, culture, and sights along the way, which I appreciated. The mega-gift shop stop at Fatima was the most obvious kind of tourist trap, but we picked up a few nominal trinkets anyway. The cathedral was impressive, but even more so the expansiveness of the entire grounds. We were then whisked off to Batalha where we stopped for lunch. The recommended restaurant was decent, but I think they may have messed my order up due to some miscommunication. It did take quite a long time for the food to come out too. Afterwards, Luis gave some remarks about the church and we were treated to a choir practicing for a bit inside. Then off to Nazare! Luis managed to find a tight parking spot near the busy area so we all hopped off the van and wandered along the cliffside to marvel at the scene and imagine what the mighty waves must have been like to attract all manner of surfers. We didn’t really have time to explore more of the touristy grounds, but that was ok because we were somewhat winded by the long walk and took a nap in the vehicle as Luis proceeded to our next destination. Obidos was awesome! We had an hour to wander around the walled city and explore the many shops and restaurants within. This was one of the most memorable aspects of this day trip. Finally, Luis expertly hauled his passengers back to Lisbon. We were glad that reversing the morning’s route meant we would be the first to get dropped off. But it is clear that Luis’s brilliant time management skills and subject matter expertise were really what made the day so successful and enjoyable. I enthusiastically recommend this tour and Luis as your guide!

Great trip, good mix of locations, times allocated to each location were perfect. The driver was excellent, very knowledgable with a good sense of hunour. The only negative was the vehicle, which is suitable for 7 people not eight, unless there is a child in the group.

The tour of Fatima, Batalha, Nazare and Obidos was a bit too ambitious. This was a good opportunity to see multiple sites in one shot. The downside was that the time allocated to each was inadequate. Each could have been a day trip or even half a day trip. Even time for a massive gift shop and lunch at a wonderful restaurant. The driver guide was wonderful and very well informed. If I could have rearranged it the Navare and Obidos would have been the longer part of trip and we could have skipped the gift shop and even lunched elsewhere. Overall time well spent and a good way to plan next visit to Portugal.

Thought we were going to see churches and we really did not. Bait and switch. Passenger smoked outside the Van and stunk up the car while we're going to different places. He said he was an addict

We lived that he was very understanding and accommodating, we had a great experience, he explained things in detail, he was very knowledgeable. I highly recommend.

Our guide Manual was interesting and very personable. We especially enjoyed Mass at Fatima and visiting Nazaré for lunch, even their unique delicacy, barnacles!

We thought our guide and tour were great. He was very flexible on timing (leaving a few minutes earlier or later depending on the group’s needs.) We wish he had given us a little more historical information at the sites and along the way.

Jose was very nice and went out of his way to explain and was very patient. It was well planned, we had enough time to relax and enjoy, but not too much as to feel we were wasting time anywhere. We saw beautiful sites.

We loved this trip! It was done at a nice pace and we got enough time in each area. Our guide Miguel was absolutely fabulous. He was just so laid back and nice, and he shared a lot of info about each spot we visited. And he truly cared that each person had a good trip.

We went for this tour on Jan 1st, and it was a last minute decision for us to book this tour. we are so glad that we did it. It was amazing experience being in Fatima, attending small bit of the ongoing mass at the basilica, visiting Nazare coastline and the obidos castle & town. Our guide was Manuel from Celina tours, and he did an excellent job in guiding us through these four places. Manuel was very clear in his presentation, and provided us with enough background/information to enjoy the places we were visiting.

The tour was amazing! Do not miss out on this tour. We had enough time to see everything and enjoy all these magical places. Also, Manuel, our tour guide was outstanding! He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and he was super knowledgeable. He also speaks 5 languages, we were impressed how flawlessly he was handling a multi-lingual group and how proficient he was in the languages.

The destinations of this tour were amazing and it was fantastic to walk through these little towns with an excellent guide, Carlos, who was very kind: he explained a lot about the history of each place. I met the company through a friend and we made the tour to Fatima, Battle, Nazareth and Obidos. It was an excellent tour, fair price and the guide Pedro Franco was very polite, friendly and helpful. He gave us a lesson of Portuguese culture and the history of each stop. I recommend it to everyone.

Celina Tours is a great choice for those looking for great excursions around Lisbon and other Portuguese cities. I went with my family in July 2024 on excursions to Sintra and Cascais, and then to Fatima, Vila Batalha, Nazaré and Óbidos. I found the guides excellent, with complete mastery of the information about the places visited and always helpful. I recommend to everyone to visit Lisbon.

We took a private tour that allowed us to exchange the trip to Nazaré for a rich visit to the Alcobaça Monastery. Our driver and guide Filipe, in addition to being very knowledgeable about all the places we visited (which enriched our experience), took special care in allowing us to enjoy the tours at a very specific pace (in our group we had 2 children and 3 elderly people ), and even took care of adapting the return to Lisbon, allowing my son and father-in-law to arrive in time for a Portuguese Championship football match! Nelson's remote service was impeccable, ensuring continuous communication (even on a holiday weekend in Portugal), which guaranteed the success of the trip. Notre guide Pierre a été super Nous étions pourtant un groupe de 8 composé de 3 nationalités différentes il a donc fallu faire les commentaires en 3 langues Le Français n'était pas des langues qu'il parlait le mieux mais nous nous sommes compris Seul bémol, pas assez de place pour mes jambes moi qui était devant entre le conducteur guide et mon compagnon, ce qui fait que j'ai eu un beau mal au bas du dos du fait d'être obligée de se contorsionner

If you want information to plan your tours according to your profile and expectations, already in Lisbon, exchanging ideas with the agency staff, forget, Celina Tours does not give this assistance. Also, the cold service by WhatsApp is rude, unpleasant (so I give 4, not 5 on the note), so use the services for the quality of guides and route planning, in this they seem to be really very good, but if you need support and more contextualized information to decide which packages to buy, forget, it is not their proposal.

Cost benefit very good. Mr. José extremely helpful. For those who need to dynamize the time with essential tourism in the 4 cities is the ideal. We made 2 tours with Celina (tour Sintra/Cascais and another according to Fatima/Batalha/Nazaré/Óbidos), respectively with the guides Pedro and Manuel. The tours exceeded our expectations. Excellent guides, informed and attentive, very good service, facilities of the vans in perfect condition and with punctual schedule. The guides were very attentive and did not have the usual hurry to finish the tour immediately to meet the agreed time - in both we arrived at the hotel after the scheduled time.

We were at Lisabona 04-08 June 2021. We were excellent.We had good luck of an excellent time and visited Lisabona,Fatima,Nazare,Obidos and Bathala with the guide Manuel de Silva guides the agency Celina tours. Thank you Manuel.
