Itinerary
Enjoy the ride along the Tagus River and the view of 25th April Bridge, inaugurated in 1966. It is often compared to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco (USA) because they are both suspension bridges of similar colour.
In no other place in the world, you can try Pastéis de Belém. It's a trademark and the original custard tart, from which all others Pastéis de Nata derive from. Invented by the monks who lived in Hieronymites Monastery, Pastéis de Belém are cooked in this pastry shop since 1837. With us, you skip the long line.
Be amazed by the Manueline architecture style of Hieronymites Monastery, built next to an important harbour for the navigators during Portuguese Age of Discovery. The construction of the monastery and church began in 1501 and was completed 100 years later. Is was classified as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983.
Appreciate this beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site, built during the time Portugal became a big empire overseas. Belém Tower is a 16th-century fortification, that served both as a fortress and as a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon.
Located along the river where ships departed to explore and trade with India and the Orient, the monument celebrates the Portuguese Age of Discovery during the 15th and 16th centuries. It was built between November 1958 and January 1960 to celebrate the fifth centennial anniversary of the death of Infante Henry the Navigator.
The front building of this museum, like a wave of the Tagus River, is absolutely sublime. The Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology was open in 2016 and includes the thermoelectric power station nearby.
Cais do Sodré is a riverside district famous for its nightlife and restaurants. The 19th-century Ribeira Market has a food court that is the hub of activity, with eclectic food stalls offering international dishes and local specialties. Pink Street is home to bars and restaurants where you can listen to fado. Ribeira das Naus promenade, on the banks of the Tagus River, is popular when the weather warms up.
Chiado is a historic and fashionable neighborhood in the center of Lisbon, Portugal, known for its vibrant cultural scene, elegant architecture, and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Situated between the neighborhoods of Baixa and Bairro Alto, Chiado has long been a hub for artists, intellectuals, and creatives. The area is famous for its beautiful squares, traditional cafés, art galleries, theaters, and luxury shops. Landmark sites include the historic Café A Brasileira, the famous Livraria Bertrand (the world's oldest operating bookstore), and the São Carlos Theater. Chiado blends Lisbon's rich cultural heritage with modern sophistication, offering a dynamic mix of old and new, where historic buildings coexist with contemporary design. It's also a popular spot for both locals and tourists, providing a lively yet refined setting for dining, shopping, and entertainment.
Bairro Alto is a historic and lively neighborhood in the heart of Lisbon, Portugal, renowned for its vibrant nightlife, bohemian atmosphere, and rich cultural heritage. Perched on one of Lisbon’s seven hills, Bairro Alto is a maze of narrow, cobblestone streets filled with an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary establishments, including bars, restaurants, and boutique shops. It is particularly famous for its thriving nightlife scene, attracting both locals and tourists with its abundance of Fado music venues, trendy bars, and late-night cafes. Despite its lively reputation, Bairro Alto has a long history that dates back to the 16th century, and its charming buildings, with colorful facades and wrought-iron balconies, reflect the neighborhood’s character. By day, Bairro Alto offers a more relaxed atmosphere, with antique shops, art galleries, and cozy cafes, but as evening falls, the area transforms into one of Lisbon’s most animated spots.
Baixa is the downtown district of Lisbon, Portugal, and serves as the commercial and architectural heart of the city. Known for its grand, neoclassical buildings, wide boulevards, and elegant squares, Baixa was extensively rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake, which destroyed much of the older part of the city. This reconstruction, led by the Marquis of Pombal, transformed Baixa into a well-planned grid of streets that remain one of Lisbon’s most important urban landmarks. Baixa is home to some of Lisbon’s most famous squares, such as Praça do Comércio, a majestic riverside square, and Rossio Square, a lively hub surrounded by cafés and shops. The district is also known for its beautiful Arco da Rua Augusta, a monumental arch leading to the river, and the Santa Justa Lift, an iconic wrought-iron elevator offering views of the city. Today, Baixa is a bustling, modern center with a mix of retail shops, restaurants, and offices, while still retaining a sense of its historical grandeur.
The Basilica of Saint Mary Major of Lisbon, or Sé de Lisboa, is the metropolitan cathedral and patriarchal seat of the city of Lisbon, Portugal. Its construction began in 1148, one year after Afonso Enriques conquered the city. It is considered the oldest church in Lisbon.
Largo das Portas do Sol is a historic square located in the Alfama district of Lisbon. This location is known for offering one of the most iconic views of the city, with panoramic views that encompass the Tagus River, the Baixa Pombalina and the Castelo de São Jorge.
Located in the Graça neighborhood of Lisbon, Portugal, the Miradouro Nossa Senhora do Monte is one of the city's most iconic viewpoints. It offers stunning panoramic views of Lisbon and the Tagus River, combining a profound history with scenic beauty. This place is a testament to Lisbon's rich history and cultural heritage, making it a must-see for anyone exploring the city's historical sites.
Graça is a traditional and vibrant neighborhood in Lisbon, Portugal, known for its rich history, narrow cobbled streets, and breathtaking panoramic views of the city. Located on one of Lisbon’s seven hills, it offers a mix of old-world charm and modern-day appeal, with a strong sense of local community. The area is famous for its historical landmarks, such as the Graça Church and the National Pantheon, as well as its lively atmosphere, with numerous cafes, restaurants, and viewpoints (miradouros) that attract both locals and visitors. Graça is often considered a more authentic and less touristy part of Lisbon, offering a glimpse into the city’s traditional life while being well-connected to other parts of the city. The neighborhood is a blend of old and new, with residential areas, local markets, and street art contributing to its distinct character.
The Monastery of São Vicente de Fora is located on high ground at the intersection of Lisbon's historic neighborhoods of Graça and Alfama. It is called "de fora" because, in addition to being outside the city walls, the parish on which it stood was not at that time under the jurisdiction of the Lisbon bishop.
The National Pantheon of Portugal (Panteão Nacional, in Portuguese) is located in the parish of São Vicente de Fora, Lisbon, specifically in the Church of Santa Engrácia. The current building stands on the site where a church had already been erected in 1568, by order of Infanta Maria, daughter of King Manuel I, on the occasion of the creation of the parish of Santa Engrácia.
The Chafariz de El-Rei was the first public ornamental fountain in the city of Lisbon. It was built in the 13th century during the reigns of Afonso III and Denis I, taking advantage of the excellent groundwater of Alfama.
Praça do Comércio, still commonly referred to by its former name of Terreiro do Paço, is a square in downtown Lisbon located next to the Tagus River, in the area that was the site of the palace of the kings of Portugal for about two centuries and which is now partly occupied by some government departments. It is one of the largest squares in Europe, with about 36,000 m² (180 m x 200 m).[1] The square is bordered by 79 arches.

Tiago was an amazing guide. He did a wonderful job navigating traffic and some changes. Highly recommend
Tiago was very kind, knowledgeable and funny !
Our tour guide, Diogo, was terrific! He gave us so much info as he showed his city. We were impressed with his enthusiasm and love of the city.
Wonderful tour around Lisbon to get our bearings and see the layout of the city. Tiago was an awesome guide. Very knowledgeable about the city, history, and recommendations of what to do. Would recommend this tour in a heartbeat!
Arthur was great. Witty and knowledgeable. Loved the tour!
Can't recommend this tour highly enough. There are tuk tuk drivers offering tours on street corners wherever you go, but this, which we booked in advance of coming to Lisbon was superb. We received confirmations and photographs of the pick up point. Being Eco there were no fumes from the Tuk Tuk. The driver was exceptional in terms of knowledge of Lisbon - asking what we wanted to know about and tailoring to our interests. We even got offered a booster seat for our daughter such was the premium service that was offered. Its a great way to see Lisbon and get around all of the hilly locations - and recommend doing early in the trip to get all the tips and see where you may want to visit afterwards. Big shout out to our driver Dmytro too. Couldn't have asked for a better guide to show us round Lisbon.
Amazing tour with the guide Arthur who had incredible knowledge with a wonderful charm. Thank you so much.
ARTUR WAS INCREDIBLE!!! If you can find a way to book with him…do it!!!!! He was so incredibly knowledgeable and kind and funny. We have done these tours in the past and he genuinely made this experience an unbelievable time. Just book. I can’t express this enough.
Wonderful experience. Good overview of all the neighbourhoods to then follow up on our own
Tiago was a delightful and friendly twerk guide who gave us just the right amount of historical information on our tour. Just wish we had more time as we could only book the one hour tour. We definitely recommend at least two hours.
Yuri was an excellent and patient tour guide. He stopped at so many places and took the time to explain the history of each site. He took photos of us and also recommended things to do at each stop. Highly recommended!
Perfect guide Tiago, very well prepaired, fantastic experience
My husband and 4 year old son loved going on a tour with Arthur. Arthur explained the history of the city in a way that was memorable and engaging for all of us. He even carried on with the tour during a thunderstorm and made sure we were all comfortable and had a blast despite the weather. I’d def recommend doing a tour with Arthur, it was a highlight of our trip!
We had a great time on this tour. It was great, even though it was rainy weather our guide Arthur was friendly and full of stories. We loved this, even my kids!
Arthur was an excellent guide!! Highly recommend this tour.
Arthur was an excellent guide and we had a wonderful time! We took this tour on our first day here and found many cool places to go back and visit on our trip. We learned so much about Portuguese history it was very interesting!
Arthur was a fantastic guide and we had a great time!
Arthur was absolutely fantastic! The tour was very thorough and filled with historic information. This is something you must do while in Lisbon.
We had a fantastic four-hour tuk tuk tour of Lisbon with Tiago. He was an excellent guide — friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely engaging throughout. What really made the tour stand out was how Tiago tailored it to us as a group, spending more time on the places and stories we found most interesting rather than simply following a fixed route. We saw a great mix of Lisbon’s sights and learned a lot about the city, its history and culture along the way. Four hours flew by and it was a brilliant way to explore Lisbon and see far more than we could have managed on foot. Would definitely recommend Tiago and the tour to anyone visiting Lisbon.
The best part of Our day! Lucas was wonderful! He was so knowledgeable and took us to some really cool Places you wouldn’t know about! Highly recommend
Lucas was a great guide, knowledgeable & friendly, we really enjoyed our trip.
Our tour was a blast! Recommend our tour guide Arthur who had so much information about Portugal’s history, buildings and Cristiano Ronaldo as well also popular high points and secret areas!
Arthur was an amazing tour guide. Taught us so much about Lisboa and Portugal.
Arthur was an incredible guide. Great energy and super knowledgeable
Our tour guide Arthur was amazing! So knowledgeable , funny and interesting! We learnt and saw so much of beautiful Lisbon in two hours - it was incredible. Can’t recommend this experience enough.
Arthur was so informative about the history of the city and local culture. Very personable and great guide. Highly recommend!!
We were impressed by Arthur’s enthusiasm for the city. Our love for Lisbon increased 200% after the tour. 1 hour is enough to travel through the famous locations in Lisbon. Highly recommended for people wanting to briefly explore this city.
Arthur did an amazing job! Funny and explained the city well!
Great morning with Arthur. Really knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating of all our requests. He even saved my hat when it flew off my head as we were going down the road!
It was a great experience. I think we were lucky to have one of the greatest when not the greatest guide Thiago. He was super friendly very informative , funny and very invested. You can see that he does his job with passion. Thank you, Thiago, for the good experience! I definitely recommend that tour.
Arthur was beyond a phenomenal tour guide ! Incredibly knowledgeable and made the most of every minute of the tour ! We appreciated his warmth and the extensive knowledge of every neighborhood of the city . We were introduced to many places and historical facts we had previously been unaware despite extensively researching the city prior to our stay . We wish we could give this experience more than 5 stars ! The tuk tuk is very pleasant and most efficient in covering as much space in the quickest time possible . Don’t miss on this incredible opportunity ! Exceptional value for the money spent .
We had a fabulous tour with Tiago in Lisbon! he was super friendly, extremely knowledgeable and a lot of fun. Lisbon is absolutely beautiful and we were so happy to experience it via Tuk Tuk. Thank you for a wonderful time. Your Canadian Friends <3
This is well worth your while, especially with a knowledgeable guide. The 3 hour tour includes stops at key lookouts with time for coffee and a snack. It is a great way of seeing and understanding Lisbon without having to tackle the hills by foot. The cobbled roads are full of character /holes therefore the ride can be bumpy.
We shared a lovely experience with Arthur. Lots of historical information delivered with enthusiasm. The Tapas and Wine tasting was perfect. Arthur also helped us find some Port Wine to take home.
We took the 4 hr Lisbon Tuk Tuk with Eco Tuk Tuk tour company. Mario was our guide and he was funny and had lots of interesting history of Portugal. I don’t know how you would do less time given the size of Lisbon. He introduced us to some of the original Portuguese pastries in Belem and a cherry Liquour in a chocolate cup. All were yummy and memorable. The Tuk Tuk was good in that both seats for the four of us faced forward, not all of Tuk Tuks have that. Would definitely recommend Mario and Eco Tuk Tuk.
We booked the 4 hour tour to visit the sites in Lisbon. Our Guide Mario was funny and had lots of interesting History of Portugal to share with us. There were 2 couples and both the Tuk Tuk seats faced forward which not all of them do. I would highly recommend Eco Tuk Tuk’s. We booked online directly with them and saved a bit of money. It is very Hilly in Lisbon and a walking tour likely would have been out of the question and certainly we would not have seen all we saw. Thanks Mario for a great day.
We were a group of four for the 4 hour tour around Lisbon. Our guide was Carlos, who was absolutely fantastic - knowledgeable and fun. The tour allowed us to see much more of the greater Lisbon area than we ever could have on foot, especially with two of the group being older.
Carlotta gave a wonderful tour to our senior adult family of five. Her knowledge of the history of Lisboa enhanced our visit to the city. I especially appreciate that her speech was very audible to me with hearing aids, and our backs to each other. Well done! She spared us a challenging return to our uphill Airbnb in Graca by dropping us a the entrance. Our two-hour tour was a delight, but we hated to say goodbye.
Just incredible guide (Earo?)with a sincere desire to please his guests. Many stops for photos and information on what we were viewing. Obvious love of his country and people.
Arthur was an excellent Lisbon expert. He is patient, respectful, and very knowledgeable about the city. Communication was easy from start to finish, and he was on time. Arthur made getting around Lisbon’s hills comfortable and stress-free. He never rushed me, happily took great photos when asked, and made the whole experience relaxed and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone wanting an easy and pleasant way to explore Lisbon.
Awesome introduction to Lisbon and save from hiking hills to see the highlights. Andre was a great driver & very knowledgeable guide. The weather was not cooperative, but we had fun anyway!
Great tour with Bruno!!! Loved our tour of Lisbon. Bruno was extremely knowledgeable and personable. Would definitely recommend.
Wonderful experience with Victor who was extremely knowledgeable caring and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed the Lisboa experience!!
I gifted this tour to my sister and my mother. It was our first time in Lisbon and my mother has a bit of difficulty walking long stretches, so I thought the tour would be a good introduction to the city, showing us the main highlights and also giving us ideas for how to spend the next few days. And it was! Our guide Tiago took us on a three-hour-ride through different parts of the city and related many interesting facts about the history of the city. Traffic was a nightmare, but he safely steered us through the many winding streets that go up and down the hills. At several spots we were able to get out and take a closer look, while Tiago waited with the Tuk Tuk. The whole ride was lots of fun and provided a perfect first look at Lisbon!
Silvia was amazing and knowledgeable. Loved being asked questions and painted wonderful stories of Portugal. I highly recommend requesting her when you visit Lisboa for this tour!
We had a wonderful time with Lucas. He was very informative and easy to understand. Answered all our questions. We felt he tailored the tour to our interests. The Tuk Tuk was new and felt safe. We highly recommend Lucas and the tour and would give it 5+ stars.
