Yesterday, we had the pleasure of taking a wonderful tour through old Lisbon with the lovely Caterina – smart, funny, and full of charm! Exploring the city by tuk tuk was such a unique experience, especially as it took us through narrow streets where cars can’t go. We made several stops at some of Lisbon’s most iconic landmarks and even enjoyed one of the best pastéis de nata in the city! Caterina proved an outstanding guide, combining local residency, broad knowledge and a friendly approach. We never felt rushed and our safety was clearly prioritized. Her historical knowledge is impressive and her personal charm is genuinely captivating.
Catarina is a complete pro. We learnt more Portuguese history and its context in 2 hours than guide books can ever offer. Navigating the narrow streets by Tuk Tuk meant we saw a lot of the city sites very easily with time to get out and take in the views etc. Most importantly Catarina is FUN . Catarina was the best TukTuk tour guide! As a last minute decision, it was the best decision we made on our trip. She was very accommodating fitting our larger stroller in the back, and making sure we were all comfortable. We had our 1 year old daughter on the tour and Catarina was very engaging with her, it was so adorable. We had a great time with Catarina! When we met her she told us what kind of options we have, we decided on 2 out of 3 that she presented. She adapted the price for us, because we were only 2 person. She told us a lot about the sights and it was really interesting. She gave us enough time for everything and it was really relaxed.
