The drive is long but so worth it. The boat trip was spectacular! The caves are something worth seeing for sure. Our guide Rajib was the best. He is friendly but professional. He answered all our questions and is a great conversationalist. He made the trip very memorable!!!

Incredible day trip tour to Algarves. I would strongly recommend this as a must do when visiting Lisbon. Our tour guide, Shuvo was fantastic! - knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, patient and went above and beyond expectations to ensure all tour participants were always comfortable & enjoyed ourselves. His customer service skills are outstanding. The boat trip and Algarves tours were very lovely, but Shuvo made this 5 star ⭐️

I have had a wonderful day tour with Shuvo. He is a careful driver and looked after all the passengers diligently. I especially loved the boat ride and the caves. The Algarve was a a fantastic experience .I would certainly go touring with him again.

Our tour was a lot of fun and Rajib was an excellent tour guide and so personable. I would highly recommend him as your tour guide. He made decisions for us when the four of us couldn't quite decide what to do and they were fabulous! If the weather had been nicer, we would have been interested in staying longer at the beach, but it was beautiful to see and we really enjoyed it! Thank you Rajib for such a fun, educational and memorable experience all rolled into one! 😊

The itinerary that was on Viator was not the same as what we did. I was expected and under the impression we would have an hour at some spots we visited for swimming or touring. But we completed our boat cruise e which was great but then hit up four different spots after for 15-30 mins. Which was great but just at the same time not what was on the itinerary. If you want to do the boat cruise and see a couple spots and no explore much this is for you. Overall not horrible but not what I was expecting.

The itinerary on the description compared to what we did was not the same. I still had a great day but I expected our stops to be longer. I did the boat tour, then we had lunch, then we stopped at three different places for photos. Which is fine but from my impression I thought we’d have an hour at different places to swim. Each stop was 15-30 mins. Can’t say what this tour would be like if we didn’t do the boat option cause that took up 1.5 hours of our time. But if your looking to enjoy the beaches rather than just take pictures this is not the tour for you.

We took the boat option and when the 30 minute ride we were booked on canceled (small boat, rough water) the company booked us on the 90 minute ride for no increase in costs. Shawan was a pleasure to have as our guide!

Dee was fantastic. Really made sure that everyone on the trip had a good time and got to see as many great places as we could in the time allowed. I really enjoyed the value.

Very enjoyable and Shawn and Sohel were very accommodating. We had an enjoyable trip going to Algarve as well as coming home.

Long way from Lisbon. 3 hour drive each way but beautiful scenery when you do get there. The wind will also dictate how close to the caves you get

Absolutely worth it ! Rajib went above and beyond to make sure the group was comfortable and content throughout the experience. Felt like we were visiting with family! It’s a long day but definitely worth doing!

The trip was fun. The guide is very punctual and very knowledgeable

Great trip and way to see southern and western Portugal, which is beautiful. Yes it is a very long day but started with an on time pickup at our hotel. We took the private tour with private car which is the way to go. Sakib was our driver and extremely courteous and attentive to our needs throughout our entire day. Boat ride is a must do. One word of note though, the included boat ride was with a group of about 40 people so just be aware it was not a private boat ride which is what I thought was advertised. Still the boat ride was a lot of fun, crew very attentive and sightseeing amazing. Seeing caves and coastline from the water is definitely recommended. Overall a great full day adventure.

Great time. The highlight of my trip to Portugal. Be prepared for the sun. Stay hydrated and take advantage of the rest stops.

It is a full day. 9 till 9. Great guides. Very comfortable. Some walking on hills. We modified the trip to our desires which worked great. Our guides Shawn and Sohel were wonderful. Great conversation.

Long car ride from Lisbon to Algarve. 2 hours. Worth the trip for boat ride to see the caves. Lunch at the restaurant Dom Sabastio was very good.

DO NOT USE THIS TOUR !!! The original tour provider was unable to take us and sent a driver instead. Although the driver provided transportation, he was not a certified tour guide and could not give us the guided experience we had paid for. It felt more like hiring an Uber or private driver than taking a professionally guided tour. I also believed the boat tour would be private because of how the experience was described, but it was not. In addition, I had to pay for the boat tour out of pocket even though my booking specifically stated "Boat Included" and "Everything included. In the end, I was out about 300. Dollars because of this tour. Hire your own driver and buy your ticket there or online. DO NOT USE THIS TOUR!!!

It was a fantastic experience! Very memorable!! The boat ride was unforgettable and the trip to Lagos was nice. We were able to walk through the small town and had time for lunch.

The tour was not what we expected. 1. Small group is much appreciated but they took us in a regular car that could fit max of 6 people. Not like a traditional tour van. I was a bit concerned about safety at first, though all turned out fine. 2. This was basically a transportation service from Lisbon to Algarve. Took 3 hours to get there and 3.5 hours back. I would not do it in 1 day again but the driving time was quite vague in the itinerary, I should have checked it on my own. 3. The driver Dee was good but he was NOT a guide. Unfortunately, he was not friendly. He sent the itinerary a night before that did not match the description of the tour. He tried to cancel the last stop Praia Dona Ana - beautiful beach for swimming. When I brought it up, he opened the topic for voting among other 5 guests. We all agreed to swimming. In the end, he dropped us off at a different beach completely covered in seaweed. Gave us 1 hr 15 min for both swimming and lunch that was not enough. We saw other beaches after that that were very beautiful and clean. 4. When I asked for lunch options, Dee said they don’t give recommendations. 5. He never checked ONCE how everyone was doing, whether we liked the tour, comfortable in a car, etc. He was just rushing through it. Clearly did not want to be there. Zero personality for a “guide”. I would not recommend this tour :( though the place is very beautiful and Dee took great pictures, therefore 2 stars.

BEFORE BOOKING: Check for this tour on Expedia before booking on Viator. Everyone in our group booked on the same day, but the woman who booked on Expedia paid $192 instead of the $294 paid by the rest of us. The two stars are because the areas that we visited were gorgeous. The missing stars are because the organization of this tour was not up to the standard that I expect from Viator and I wouldn't consider our experience to be worth the cost. Our tour guide was friendly, but didn't teach us anything about the country, things were drove by, or the places that we were visiting. Communication about the schedule, mobility requirements, and what to bring was also not clear throughout the trip. Time was managed poorly enough that we would have arrived home 2 hours after the 10-hour estimate - unfortunately we also hit traffic, so we got back to Lisbon at 9pm instead of the expected 6pm (with no plan for dinner in the original schedule obviously). The car that drove us was too small to fit the reserved group and did not have functional AC. Luckily one member of our group didn't show up and everyone was small enough to squeeze together. All in all, it's a functional option if it's your only way to see the area. I'd recommend staying the night near Algarve if you can swing it. The day trip is a lot of driving for such quick stops.

Sakib, our driver was very professional and respectful. We had a great overview of Algarve in one day. The amount of time was sufficient if you want to see the tourist attractions. We enjoyed the boat ride in Benagil. It was a wonderful experience to see the caves. We admired the beauty of the natural rock formations up close.

The guide and Driver Monir was very punctual friendly and knowledgeable. Alagarve is a must watch place to visit .

We had a nice trip to the Algarve region from Lisbon - it was a pretty action packed day where we covered a lot of attractions - the highlight of the trip was the doll’s face cave (Aboneca) and the boat ride at the benagil caves. Our guide Shawn was on time with the pick-up and very helpful with taking our pictures. One thing that could improve the experience further would be inclusion of some curated local food / restaurant options- overall I would give this experience a 4.5/5

We had such a wonderful day! Overall, we were really happy with everything. Our guide, Rajib, was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful throughout the day. He showed us all the beautiful spots and even helped us take some fantastic photos. The drive from Lisbon to the Algarve was quite long, but honestly, it was completely worth it. Benagil Cave and the stunning coastal spots around Lagos were absolutely amazing. We enjoyed the day and would definitely recommend this trip to anyone visiting the Algarve! 😊

Our guide/driver was friendly, willing to take photos and seemed receptive to input, however, as a “guide” not much was provided from him. We would be brought to a location and told “you have 15-30 amount of time to wander around and take photos” and that was the majority of the experience at each stop, which is a bit disappointing when you’re hoping to learn more about the culture and history of some of the locations. I will also note that during the return drive back, our guide did use his phone while actively driving to open up YouTube and play videos, which certainly makes one a bit anxious, especially after a long day The boat tour (30 minutes - 20€) was the highlight. However, that was run by a third party called Taruga Benagil Tours. It isn’t posted in this listing, but I would be aware that the boat loads from the beach so you might get wet and sandy. So make sure you have appropriate clothes or alternative footwear. Note that this section of the tour can be cancelled due to weather Additionally, if you’re hoping for wifi, there was none provided and some members of our group weren’t given water bottles (but we were). Unfortunately, there was very little local knowledge, historical information or insight provided, so the experience lacked the Portuguese authenticity and guided element we expected. Communication throughout the day was also extremely poor. Our driver spoke very little to us during the journeys and frequently appeared disengaged. He regularly had an AirPod in while having personal conversations and used his phone while driving on multiple occasions, which made us extremely uncomfortable. The locations themselves were beautiful and we would absolutely recommend visiting them, but we would strongly recommend doing so with a different tour provider or driver to ensure you receive the guided and private experience advertised. Overall, multiple aspects of the experience did not match what was advertised on Viator. We paid for a private, guided and immersive Portuguese experience, but instead received what felt primarily like a transfer service with very limited commentary or local insight. It's was amazing, everything was excellent like all the reviews before we take the tour, the driver Sakur did everything to make us very important costumer and had excellent attitude+ excellent driver.

Our tour guide was Monir, very nice guy , helpful! The places were amazing, beautiful is a must visit! Was a private tour the driver picked the four of us, up at the hotel on time , the drive is long but worth every single minute!! The boat tour was included and was amazing thank to the guys on the boat too! Thank you!

Great to see the sights, very long drive each way, especially on the way home. Tour guide was helpful, did point out things at the beginning. Second half after lunch is the boat tour which was worth the trip. Train might be better. Very tiny car, everyone was squished in. Probably could take the train and be more comfortable. Recommend staying in algarve rather than round trip in one day.

Amazing experience! Boat ride was 100% worth it. 90 min option! Our guide Monir was awesome! Very knowledgeable and accommodating. I was solo but quickly made friends with the group (6 ppl total). The car could have been a bit bigger and more comfortable for those sitting in the back so transportation could be improved but other than that it was a phenomenal experience!

We had an amazing time. Monir did a fantastic job! He knew all the best spots and even was our personal photographer. The schedule workout perfectly and we were able to see everything we wanted and more. We werevery lucky to have only 4 in our car. I can't imagine how 6 adults could fit comfortably on such a long trip.

Monir was a fabulous guide! He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He made the day run smoothly. He was particularly attentive to make sure we had everything we needed and took lots of pictures of myself and teenage daughter, so we would have great memories. He made the trip seamless. Tha Algarve is stunning. Fun boat ride with beautiful views! It was a great day.
