I’m a big fan of walking tours and always look for different experiences outside traditional history type ones and this tour didn’t disappoint! Slava is deeply educated about the information he shares and you can tell he’s passionate about the topic and the research that goes into it. Time flew by as we walked through Lisbon and I highly recommend it to anyone who is open minded and interested in: history beyond the one that we can learn in mainstream sources, secret societies, esoteric and “taboo” topics. Slava is open to questions and mentions certain things that you will surely want to research after the tour is done. Whether it’s your first time in Lisbon or you live there, you will certainly learn something new and will walk around the buildings you’d have otherwise overlooked if you didn’t know what they were hiding ;) Slava is also multilingual and keeps the group intentionally small so it’s not one of those massive group tours. Keep in mind you will walk up a few hills so wear appropriate footwear.

On our way we pass Bairro Alto neighborhood, superficially famous about it's bars. We stop in fron of Masonic Lodge to learn about it's influence in Portugal of past and present.
Special viewpoint of the center, overlooking Avenida de Liberdade and Restoration square. Learn about coat of arms of Lisbon and foundation myths
Beautiful manuelin-style masterpiece suburban train station, departing point for discovering Sintra. Let's talk here a bit about the speciality of this town, where famous people of different countries, for some reason, want to posses a bit of land.
We will discover stories of various buildings in southern part of the square. Final point of the tour is psychological picture of royal family of times of D.Pedro IV, and connection to Rio de Janeiro
Charming square with ruins of Carmo monastery, which is now a museum and house of National Guard ( with 1975 revolution's musuem ). Was it romantic revolution, or coup-d-etat? What are similarities between Salazar's Portugal and life in Soviet Union?

This tour was so much fun! Slava, our guide, made the tour himself and explains the history of Lisbon and the thread of the free mason influence throughout. There were two other couples on our tour, none of us knew each other, and none of us were sure what to expect. We all loved it! Slava is not a conspiracy theorist and he isn’t going to try to convince you that Portugal rose up from black magic and ritual infanticide, but he will point out connections of this secret society in the history of the leaders, the architecture, and the myths of this area. If you want a well researched and interesting tour that focuses on a unique subject matter, Slava is your guy. As a bonus, Slava will give you other places to visit in Lisbon and he recommend a fantastic steakhouse! (Fans of LPOTL and Marcus Parks, this tour is for you)
If you are a smart, intelligent informed person, you will love Slava’s tour. This is the type of information you actually want to know about but is not obtained easily, because it is not what ‘mainstream’ feeds us. Great conversation on all levels, I highly recommend contacting Slava and joining one of his tours. It’s very unique! Enjoy :)
This is great to learn the other side of history and even to walk and see a parts of lisbon. Our guide was great and really knew a lot of history
Slava is a super interesting and very knowledgeable guide. The locations he choice, just for getting to see some more of lisbon, were great, but his takes on the Templar, Free Masons, and origins of Lisbon were really the cherry on top. Would definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys a good walk and a deep conversation!
Interesting tour! Saw a different side to Lisbon with Slava. Guide was informative and passionate about the topics.
Many interesting facts, theories and connections. Keep yourself open to ideas and make your own conclusions to the possibilities of the past, present and future. Slava was very passionate and engaging as he shared his wealth of knowledge and theories. He will take you around the city, be prepared for the cities terrains but it was well worth the trek. We no longer view Lisbon the same way again.
Slava was a great tour guide! He made the history of Lisbon interesting and showcased architecture of Lisbon that one may never notice wandering the city themselves or in any other tour!
This was the best tour I took in Lisbon! The guide was so knowledgeable, the walk was at a comfortable pace and the history shared was very fascinating. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour!
Great evening tour- starts you thinking about the internal workings of Portugal’s nobles and the role they actually played. Thank you for your openness and research on the Templar , masons and the real life of nobility outside of history books
Exceptional guide, knowledgeable, personable and so fascinating. Loved this tour on so many levels. History, secrets and mysterious…from people to buildings to art. Enjoyed the unusual walk and the humor of our guide. Don’t miss this one of a kind d tour!
My walking tour with Slava was AMAZING. He shared stories about the history of Portugal you wouldn’t get anywhere else. He was super engaging and you could easily recognize his enthusiasm and interest in the topics he covered and the tour took us through some phenomenal architecture along the way. I HIGHLY recommend!!
Great alternative view of Lisbon’s history. For the curious. Truly recommend! We had a great time! Interesting facts and nice route. Thank you, W!
Slava was a very knowledgable and passionate tour guide. He provided really interesting knowlegable into the mysterious historical side of lisbon. The tour is approx 2.5 hours walking with stops at different places. There is some uphill walks throughout but he waited and there was no rush. I really enjoyed learning about knights templar free masons and symbols throughout the walking tour and seeing the sites to match. He is very personable and warm and answers any questions. Loved this tour!
This tour was not quite what we expected, but it was fascinating. Our guide, Slava, was great. Very personable and knowledgeable about the subject matter, which emphasized the Knights of Templar & Free Masons, and their influence in Lisbon. If this is something that interests you, this is the tour for you. If it's something that you've not really given much thought to, this is the tour for you. My partner and I both thoroughly enjoyed this tour, and highly recommend.
Great tour. Our tour guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable. I learned so much about the Knights Templar, the Masons and other secret societies that shaped various countries. If you find conspiracy theories intriguing, then this is the tour for you!
A thorough explanation of the background of all the stops along the tour. The tour guide was very well informed.
This tour provides you with an opportunity to see a part of Lisbon that most tourists will not know about. The story that unfolds, connecting the past with what is still our present in many ways, is very interesting, eye opening and believable. Slava tells history in a way that is in itself an amazing skill. This tour is like no other I have ever been on. Much more than a walking tour and has opened my mind to a depth of knowledge that I will continue to pursue in many aspects of life and what we think we know. Take this tour early on your vacation so you can go back to the areas Slava walks you through and enjoy it again but with a new outlook. It will enhance your time in Lisbon. A church is not just a church. An abandoned building is not just an abandoned building and what lies beneath your feet as you walk has a story that will educate you. Thank you for this experience.
I really didn't know what to expect when I first booked this tour. However, after meeting Slava, my tour guide, I knew I was in for an enjoyable couple of hours. From the beginning Slava was professional and highly knowledgeable. This is one of the best tours I have ever been on. Slava is such a wonderful person and guide. He is so insightful and completely kept me engaged during the entire tour. He is an exceptional storyteller and is very easy to listen to. Deepening my knowledge about secret societies and other mysteries was certainly a highlight of my visit to Lisbon. This tour went above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this tour for everyone, whether you are just learning or have a more advanced knowledge. Slava, thank you again for an amazing evening. It was a pleasure to meet you! C
Our guide, Slava, was not only incredibly knowledgeable but also warm, funny, and truly passionate about the history and culture of Portugal. He brought every story to life with fascinating details and a personal touch that made the experience unforgettable. Thank you for opening up Portugal to me in a whole new way!
Slava is a thoughtful and engaging storyteller. He is clearly passionate about how the Freemasons are interwoven into the history of Lisbon and Portugal. I highly recommend the tour if you want a non-traditional flavorful walking tour, since Slava will take you to some very non touristy but still interesting sights in the city. The best part of his tour is that you will be entertained and intrigued to learn more on your own!
My boyfriend and I had a fantastic experience with Slava! He is very knowledgeable and a great person. He was very detailed about the information and makes you feel comfortable! We would definitely recommend him!
This was a highly informative and entertaining tour Slava was a wonderful host. I would highly recommend this tour
I loved learning about the subtext to the history of Lisboa. What an amazing experience if you want to know the truth about how Lisboa came to power and who truly holds the keys
This was legitimately one of the best tours I have ever been one. If you are in Lisboa, you need to take the time for this tour. Slava was so informative, and you could tell he was passionate about the topics in discussion. He was also happy to answer any questions, and our conversations felt so easy as we shared a love of investigating. For anyone visiting, please seize the opportunity to take this tour, I promise you will not regret it.
Great tour, got to see a side of Lisbon we wouldn't have otherwise. Would highly recommend if you're looking for something outside of the usual sights and destinations.
Amazing storytelling! One of the best walking tours we’ve done. A deep dive into Lisbons history. We highly recommend!

Everything was perfect. A lof of new things, different view to everything. Maybe the best tour a ever had
This was a real treat. Slava is super thoughtful, interesting and knowledgeable. He loves sharing what he knows with others, you can feel the joy from his smile. We spent about 3.5 hours with him getting in to details about secret societies and history. He is also very observant and open, you can let him know if you want more or less information. Thank you Slava for a lovely Sunday! :)
Slava’s tour was very interesting and full of curious details that no one tells… Starting to see the full picture now! :) Recommended, if you like history and if you are ready to immerse yourself into it ;)
Excellent walking tour of Lisbon with Sophie. We went at a steady pace, this was great as we climbed nearly up to the castle. Information was relevant and she didn’t overload us. Very enjoyable tour
if you want to get a non-standard tour - contact Slava. He shows Lisbon from little-known sides, telling interesting facts and details. I liked the natural style of his tour, his friendliness and the overall feel of an interesting adventure in this beautiful city. Thank you, Slava!
Slava, thanks for the tour, it was amazing! I can definitely recommend it to everyone who likes walks with an interesting guide, who also knows a lot of information about the history of the country, the world and many things that have an impact on historical events
Amazing walk. The guide, Slava, is very cult, in addition to friendly, is knows details of the history and (secret) stories of Lisbon. The tour surprises and is totally recommended. A very interesting tour, both to learn more about Lisbon, and to learn about secret societies and their still visible influence.
Special tour that tells the unseen history of Sintra. Slava knows and shows her passion for this topic, with her own research that she makes known to the tour participants. Very kind, explained in a very clear and concise way. Highly recommended.
Slava is a crack! Everything he explains is super interesting, we did the tour first in Sintra telling us the legends, mysteries and stories of Freemasonry and we were so delighted that we also did the Lisbon tour today. A tour different from the others, very interesting, very well explained and he is a person with a special energy! Passionate about his work and everything that counts! He also investigates on his own and explains 1000 curiosities to you. When we return we will book again with you! Thank you, it was a pleasure to meet you and learn so many things from you!
