Best Of Lisbon Full Day Private Tour

Very enjoyable. Saw all the locations we probably would not have gotten to. Also very flexible. We wanted to get authentic gifts and altered tour to take us to the tile factory.

Philippa gave us an amazing tour of Lisbon. Her knowledge of the city and it's history was incredible. We were able to make minor alterations to the itinerary to suit our interests. She took us to places we would never have thought to visit, we didn't feel rushed at all and could take as much or as little time at a venue as suited us. The day was thoroughly enjoyable.

Our guide made pickup from and return to the ship incredibly easy. She was very knowledgeable and took us to many of Lisbon's most important sites while sharing the city's fascinating history. We had a wonderful time! Although much of the tour is by vehicle, be prepared for some walking through the charming streets of the old town.

Nuno was the perfect guide and went out of his way to ensure we had an unforgettable day in Lisbon! It truly was an “insiders” tour and my husband and I got to experience parts of the city we never would have seen on a conventional tour. He listened to our interests and catered the tour to accommodate them perfectly!

Filipa was kind, entertaining and very knowledgeable. She provided information from 12 century to the present. Had an awesome recommendation for lunch as well as a treat and coffee break. Would highly recommended her!

My wife and I enjoyed this tour very much. Our guide, Philippa, was extraordinary! She had an in-depth knowledge of the city, providing history and trivia, and kept it fresh and fun. Despite the fact that it was 90 degrees (F), we stayed cool, visiting the monuments by the water, the views from the tops of the hills, and even getting across the river to see the Sanctuary of Christ the King. Nuno took us all over Lisbon!!! A great Historian and very knowledgeable about Lisbon! We loved every minute from the beginning to the end. The food was amazing from the Custard Tarts to the Lemonade! Nuno made us feel right at home the minute we met and throughout the tour and we will definitely be back and will request him everytime! My tour was supposed to be a group tour, but it ended up being a private tour as no one else booked this tour the same day. That was a treat, as I got to know my tour guide Lourenço better and experience his love for Lisboa. Lourenço is a historical enthusiast and he shared a lot of the history behind the monuments. He even made it a point to go to the Monument of Discoveries before the large tour crowds appeared. I saw the famous Pink Street, Marques De Pombal, Praça do Comércio, had a pastry at Pastéis de Belém and was even taken to see how they were made. This isn’t everything, but a few key highlights of the tour. Lourenço was an awesome host and you can see the enthusiasm he has for Lisboa. It was an awesome tour and I recommend Lourenço as your guide.

We only had one day in Lisbon. That was unfortunate. Because I would’ve liked to have spent another day with our guide Nunu. He has such an amazing knowledge of history and can tell you what was built where and when in the entire city. Dating back to 6000 years ago.

We had an incredible experience in Lisbon thanks to our amazing tour guide. From the moment the tour started, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the city’s history and culture. Every stop was thoughtfully planned, he shared fascinating stories that brought each place to life — from hidden gems to iconic landmarks.

Valerio T was our private tour guide. He picked us up promptly at the cruise port as requested. He gave us a perfectly paced tour of the old and new areas of the city. Valerio is a wealth of information about any topic we asked--history, architecture, culture, food, politics etc. I would recommend this tour for anyone interested in a quick overview of the city. We only had one day to enjoy Lisbon but hope to return with more time available.

Lisbon is a beautiful city and beautiful to see at Christmastime!! Our guide was NUNO GONCALVES a life long resident of Lisbon from Selection Tours through Viator. If you want to learn the history and understand the beautiful architecture of Lisbon this is the perfect tour to take. We started at Belém Tower, then Monument to the Discoveries (he explained to us every person on this monument), the Jeronimos Monastery and 10 more sites. We stopped at 2 local places one for a Pasteis de Nata treat and later we had a wonderful lunch at another family owned restaurant Trigo Latino. He parked his van and we walked the beautiful cobblestone type narrow and hilly streets as he explained the history of these neighborhoods. An 8 hour tour is not enough but having a local resident guide is truly the best way to see Lisbon. You will want to see more !!

Without going into great detail...THIS WAS SO WORTH IT! We did more with our guide in 8 hours than we did the other three days. We enjoyed getting to know Lisbon from a historic view, but getting to know the people and the culture was AMAZING! Highly Recommend!

We had an amazing day. Our guide, Lourenco, was wonderful. He took us to all the important sites we had hoped to see and explained to us the history behind each point. He was very accommodating and tailored the day to what we hoped to gain from it. We had some time to explore each area between stops if we wanted. He took us to a cool market for lunch, some great coffee stops and recommended places for dinner. We highly recommend this experience.

Wonderful day with Philip, despite starting out with rainy conditions, he quickly adjusted the tour to make sure we saw the remarkable sights of Lisbon in a day. The weather cleared and we were treated to a guide who shared history and knowledge with us in a way that was enjoyable for those 16-60. He was the best part of our trip by far, and the guide to really orient us to the area so we could enjoy it more.

This was a really fun tour with our guide Anna. We did the tour on our first full day in Lisbon and by the time the day was over, we had a pretty good feel for the city. Anna gave us a lot of tips on other things to do later in our trip. Highlights for me were the Belem tower and the monument to the explorers in Belem (plus the visit to the pastry shop for Pasties of Belem). Anna gave a great history of Portugese exploration. Also enjoyed the church at Santo Domingo. Great way to start a visit in Lisbon.

My friend and I booked a three day private tour of Lisbon and the surrounding towns months before our trip and Filipe stayed in touch with us, giving us tips and options for the tour. Filipe arrived on time and with a sunny smile on our first day. We spent a full day visiting historic sites in the city, starting with the Belem tower, the Discoveries monument, Jeronimos and sampling the famous Pastel de Belem! We continued to go around the city while Filipe gave us a detailed history of Portugal and the significance of particular places in Lisbon. We also learned about Portuguese culture and cuisine. Our first day was very interesting and fun and definitely gave us something to look forward to for the rest of the trip. i would highly recommend this tour and our awesome tour guide, Filipe!

This was my first trip to Portugal and prior to visiting Lisbon, I sprained my ankle in Porto. So I was a little bit anxious about the next few days in Lisbon. My friend and I were picked up by Filipe on time. I had messaged him about my ankle two days before and he had researched every possible thing I would need from wheelchair rental to adjusting our route a bit so I can minimize the walking. He is extremely knowledgeable and if you want a crash course of the history of Lisbon and Portugal, he knows the details by heart. He always provided a brief background from a distance to give you perspective before proceeding closer so we can take photos. He suggested a great place for lunch and also was very proactive in asking for ice for my foot when we can. He was also flexible in stopping in areas where we need to stop at (like Sorbettino, a fabulous gelato place) or the pharmacy to get medicine. He also showed us churches and plazas that we did not even know of. Overall, a wonderful introduction to a fabulous city! Thank you, Filipe!

Pedro was wonderful! Hotel pickup was exactly on time. Was surprised it was just Pedro and we two. He drove us all over Lisbon. Recommended and took us to a fabulous Portuguese restaurant. Navigated incredibly narrow streets and traffic with ease and patience. Delightful tour.

Local company that offers excellent and personalised small group and private tours. Especially Ana was very enthusiastic in guiding me around her city. She drove swiftly from one point of interest to the next telling all the historical facts as well as the local customs. At the end of the day I had a better idea of the city of Lisbon which I could than explore more.
