We arrived in Lisbon after a SeaDream II cruise and booked this tour. Our guide, Miguel, was waiting for us at the pier in a luxury vehicle. He was absolutely delightful. He made sure that we were comfortable and up for walking. His tour and insights were great and after we had seen everything we wanted to see, he dropped us off right at our hotel. Excellent experience and I highly recommend.

Vasco, our tour guide, was tremendous! He was very knowledgeable and made us fell very welcome. We visited many sites in Lisbon and even found time to stop at an artisan tile workshop that was so interesting. He made sure we stopped at a famous Lisbon bakery to enjoy our Pasteis de Belem pastry. We would highly recommend Vasco as a tour guide!!!

We recently booked a half-day tour of Lisbon with Portugal Magik, and it exceeded every expectation. From start to finish, this was exactly the kind of personal, enriching experience we were hoping for during our time in Portugal. Our guide, Victor, was absolutely exceptional. His English was flawless (he also speaks French), and his warm, congenial personality immediately put us at ease. What truly set him apart was his genuine passion for Portuguese history and culture—he didn't just recite facts, he brought the stories of Lisbon to life with an enthusiasm that was infectious. You could tell he truly loves what he does and takes pride in sharing his knowledge with visitors. The tour itself was perfectly paced and thoughtfully designed. Victor picked us up in a comfortable Mercedes van that easily accommodated my husband, father-in-law, and me. The journey from Cascais, where we were staying, became part of the experience itself—Victor stopped at various points along the way to share local history and point out interesting sights. He struck the perfect balance between showing us Lisbon's must-see highlights and accommodating our personal requests, making the tour feel tailored just for us. What impressed us most was the level of personalization and flexibility. We had the best experience with Portugal Magik private tours. We went on several excursions with Diogo and Vasco. Their knowledge of the history and landscape of Lisbon and the surrounding area was outstanding! From a city tour of Lisbon and the harbor to Nazare, from Cascais to Sintra and Óbidos every single tour was excellent! They also had great recommendations for shops and restaurants. The Fado singers were the best! We will definitely be back and use their services again!

This is about our Day experience in Lisbon-Fatima by Portugal Magik Tours. João Madeira or John was A-mazing. He is extremely polite, knowledgeable and very sensitive to our needs. My wife and daughter grew very fond of him as his personality is contagious. He is also very knowledgeable and provided us with amazing nuggets of history to appreciate our trip even better. Your company did a great job and John's efforts is highly appreciated. It was a pleasure having him. We also enjoyed the special wonderful meal he organised and it was so great listening to his stories about family. He made it so special that he was like part of our family during the trip. We will be back to Portugal and will certainly continue with Portugal Magik Tours. My husband and I arrived on 4/11/2025. We had booked 3 tours starting on 4/12/2025 with Gonzalo and Portugal Magic, from our home in Florida. I had been following Gonzalo and received helpful emails from his company for about a year. We were paired with Vasco Costa. He was a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide who is local to the area. DAY 1: We did the private city tour and Vasco Costa planned the perfect itinerary for two over 60 year old clients. He made sure we walked enough but not too much and covered all the important highlights. We were so excited about our journey and seeing all the sights on our list plus many more. The experience was definitely curated to fit our specific needs. The Mercedes Benz was clean and comfortable and water was provided. DAY 2: We did an early pick-up so we could beat the crowds at Sintra and Peña Palace. We purchased transfer tickets ahead of time and I recommend you do the same. We walked up but rode down. It was beautiful and Vasco kept us at a good and not too demanding pace. Peña Palace is a must. I do however recommend Tuesday through Friday, if at all possible, as the weekend crowds are heavy. You must see Cabo de Roca and snap a picture. Again… better to do this during the week. We especially enjoyed the visit to Cascais and would consider staying there on a future trip. We had a lovely lunch and what a cool village. DAY 3: Today we visited Évora and Monsaraz and had the absolute best day ever. Vasco and Gonzalo planned a perfect itinerary to match our personality which included the most amazing wine tasting. Evora and Monsaraz are charming and quiet villages which we would return to again and again. The private wine tasting was the best ever and my husband and I have been to more than we can count. Mostly wine tastings in California, Italy and France. The personal attention was amazing and the wine was very … very good. I can’t tell you the name as it is quite exclusive and you need to book your own tour to experience this special treat. All I can say is Portugal Magic, owner Gonzalo and especially Vasco Costa, our private guide, over delivered, just as I hoped they would do. Thank you team Portugal Magic and we plan to return to Portugal again very soon.

We used Portugal Magik for two full private touring days in the Lisbon area with Francisco Canas as our guide. On day one, we did the Lisbon Historical + Jewish Highlights + Belem tour and on day two we did the Sintra tour. The Lisbon Historical (etc.) tour gave us a close up overview of the various neighborhoods in the city. Francisco was terrific at tailoring the tour to our needs and desires (we enjoyed the heavy emphasis on walking in certain areas as we requested) and was terrific at explaining the history of the city and its key sights. We particularly enjoyed stopping at local places for snacks, drinks and meals which gave us a great feel for life in Lisbon. The Sintra tour was also outstanding. Rainy weather made things somewhat of a challenge, but Francisco handled it well. As we did on day one, we got to stop at some local establishments for snacks and meals which we really enjoyed. We recommend that you ask specifically for Francisco Canas. He is local to the Lisbon area, speaks perfect English, is very knowledgeable about the city and its history and is very easy to converse with over the couple of days. He made our touring in Lisbon and Sintra a special treat.

We had the most wonderful experience with two private tours! Our first was a private pickup from the airport and a tour of Lisbon on the day we arrived. Miguel Safara was our driver/guide and he was exceptional! We were also lucky enough to have Miguel on our second private tour of Sintra and Pena Palace! Portugal Majik tours provided the most informative and responsive customer service during the months leading up to our trip. I would 100% recommend them for anyone's visit to Portugal!

This was a fabulous tour. Andre was very knowledgeable about all of Lisbon and kept my teenagers entertained. I was fascinated by all the history. Andre also took some fabulous pictures. The vehicle was immaculately clean and Andre was a safe driver. I would not hesitate to book with Portugal Magik again.

Our tour of Lisbon’s City Highlights was wonderful. We were a family of 7 ( with 2 teenagers) and everyone enjoyed the many beautiful and historic places that we were taken to. Our tour guide, Victor, was knowledgeable, very personable and funny! He was sensitive to our individual needs and very accommodating to our requests. Would highly recommend this tour.

An excellent day out with Portugal Magik touring the areas around Lisbon. Great car, knowledgeable and friendly driver who made it very easy for us to enjoy ourselves without needing to think about anything, which is exactly what I want on vacation. Even more, the company gave me absolutely zero hassles to redeem a credit from over two years prior (another family member who'd booked a tour was unable to use it at due to an injury just a few days prior to her scheduled trip). That shows a lot of integrity to me. The communication from start to finish, from booking to reminders to meeting the driver to finishing up the trip, was top notch. I'll contact them again for sure.

We want to have a tour through Lisbon, and knowing that the city is the seven hills city, we decided to book with Portugal Magik Private tours. We were the two of us and our guide, Andy, picked us up at our hotel. He brought us first to Belem and made us visit the tower and the monument for the sailors. We got a nice course of Portuguese history. Then we went to Pasteis de Belem, the custard shop, were we tasted the pasteis and had coffee. From then on we went to the historical centre of Lisbon. We got to see the highlights such a the San Justa elevator, the cathedral, the birthplace of San Antonio, magnificent viewpoints. We had lunch in the Time Out market. The tour had a duration of eight hours, but it was really worth it. Excellent company, excellent communication and of course a more than excellent tour guide.

We booked this 3 day tour of the Lisbon area and were beyond thrilled with it!! Our guide, Joao, was so attentive to our preferences, personalizing our tour. Joaa's knowledge of Portugal's history was fantastic. We packed so much into our 3 days, but we never felt rushed. One the highlights of tour was the FOOD! I am not a fan of seafood, which is definitely a Portuguese specialty. Joao selected restaurants that had a wide selection for this picky eater. Our vacation continued up to the Porto area, but Lisbon was the star of the trip!! I would give this tour a 10/10, I would give Joao a 20/10!!

On our first day, we had Andre take us on a full-day private guided tour of Lisbon, which hit all the highlights. Andre was incredibly knowledgeable about the history (and which pastry shop is the best) and passionate about sharing his enthusiasm with us. He was flexible about how much time we spent where and easy-going. On Day 2, he took us to Sintra, Cabo da Roca (the westernmost place in continental Europe), and his hometown of Cascais, a lovely beach town. The communication was excellent throughout - from when we made inquiries to when he picked us up at our hotel. They made very helpful suggestions, such as booking the first time slot to visit Sintra to avoid the long lines. Andre knew the traffic patterns well, so we also took the backroads to visit the cute Village of Sintra without getting caught in what seemed to be a mile-long line of cars. We would highly recommend Andre as your guide and Portugal Magik as your tour organizer.

This was actually 2 tours but the system wouldn't let me pick 2. Having less than 2 days in Lisbon I decided to book a private tour. 1) Airport pick-up with an introductory driving / walking tour of Lisbon and 2) a full day tour of Obidos. I could have done more but I was very tired from international flight. As a private tour I had total flexibility both days. The driver Andre was great and pretty much did as I asked. He helped with luggage, we had a light meal, we saw more sights than I thought I could fit into 1.5 days. I even asked him to walk the top of the walls with me at Obidos and he gladly did. His knowledge of Portugese history was excellent. He also seems to be a student of world affairs so we had lots to talk about. Booking these tours was very easy. All of the folks I interacted with via email were professional and courteous and prompt! I can't say enough good things about this company and driver / guide Andre.

We took an 8 day private tour with Portugal Magik with another couple - so 4 of us. Portugal Magik is truly magical. Gonzalo is the owner - he answers usually within 24 hours any questions. Diogo was our driver and guide the entire time. On a scale of 1 to 10 I wish I could give him 100!!! Seriously he was a very careful driver especially since we had unusually heavy rains. He was incredibly knowledgeable of all the history and facts of Portugal. In addition Diogo added some special extra stops for us - including a sardine factory among others. He arranged daily lunches at special restaurants and helped order our food so we experienced Portugal cuisine. Diogo was always early on our daily pickups so no worries. We had made dinner reservations in advance so he confirmed the restaurants and what we could order. He cleaned the Mercedes van every night and had umbrellas and water for us. We could not have seen 1/2 of what we saw on our own. We saw Lisbon and did day trips to Sintra and other cities, then Coinbra and on to Porto.Diogo met us at the airport and deposited us there for our way home. Portugal Magik is worth its weight in gold!!!!

My husband and I had 2 great private tours with Andre. We toured Lisbon on day 1. Andre made sure we saw all the important sights in Lisbon and took us to a wonderful, non touristic restaurant for lunch. He explained the history of Portugal which really made all the sights more meaningful. On our 2nd day we toured the Pena Palace and Sintra. Andre was very timely and was a pleasure to spend time with. The company was easy to work with and had great communication prior to our tours. We highly recommend using them for touring in Lisbon and Sintra.

WOW! Miguel was our fabulous tour/guide. Full day private tour was over the top and worth every penny. Miguel shared history and stories that went far beyond my initial research. Miguel made the difference and got us in and out of crowded places with ease. We got a true taste of Lisbon; the highs, the lows and everything in between.

This was one of the best tours I have ever gone on. John adjusted our day as he learned what I liked and wanted to do. When he learned I really enjoyed finding restaurants for locals by locals, he suggested a lunch stop at one where I was literally the only tourist and the food was phenomenal. He was friendly and conversant. I will definitely book him again when I am next in the area!

Thank you Portugal Magik and Miguel for a wonderful, custom tour of Lisbon. The itinerary prepared for us was perfect and more than exceeded our expectations. Our tour guide, Miguel, was outstanding. He did a great job communicating with us before we arrived in Lisbon so we knew exactly when to expect him at our hotel and what we could expect for our day of touring. If you want a local guide that really knows his way around the city, Miguel is who you want to hire. Miguel's job was especially challenging because the Pope was in Lisbon the same time we were here. Miguel masterfully navigated around the street closures, traffic jams and crowds of of people to get is to the parts of Lisbon we wanted to see. The vehicle for our tour was immaculate and very comfortable. And there was plenty of water for us to drink along the way. I highly recommend this tour group and especially recommend Miguel as your guide. He does not disappoint.

Our tour guide Carlos arrived promptly at our designated time. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Lisbon and Portugal overall as well as all of the sites he took us to visit. The vehicle was clean and comfortable. We stopped for lunch at a lovely restaurant by the water away from the busy tourist area. Corresponding with Gonzalo and Magic Tours was very easy.

We traveled with Victor for three days. We toured Lisbon, the Pena Palace, Caiscais, Sintra, Obidos, Narareth, Fatima. Our tour days and locations were planned through Magik and we couldn't have been happier. Our guide was truly wonderful and we would highly recommend both this company and our driver.

We had an excellent tour with Vittor. We were 4-member family with an 18-month-old boy. The overall planning and execution of the trip was wonderful. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and was flexible to cater to our family requirement. We visited some wonderful places and took lots of lovely photos. The vehicle was in excellent condition and the guide was always very responsive to all the questions we had. Overall a brilliant family day out indeed.

Victor was a terrific guide. We were going on a cruise, departing from Lisbon and we planned 2 days to explore Lisbon and Sintra. We were met at the airport and immediately started our experience. Victor, our guide got us great lunch reservations. The 2nd day we headed to Sintra and Peña Palace and their recommendation on getting tickets early and other parts of the trip were critical to maximizing our short time together. The day ended with Victor dropping us off right at the cruise ship pier. Portugal Magik’s communication was quick and made sure we were scheduling the right tours as I did make a mistake that they caught immediately.

Our guide from Portugal Magic Tours, Andy, provided us with a terrific tour of Lisbon. His extensive knowledge with his very friendly and helpful attitude made it a great day. He showed us the cultural, local retail and culinary aspects of. Lisbon that we totally enjoyed and appreciated. Five stars to Andy!

Without a doubt, choosing to get a private guide in Lisbon was a wonderful decision! Portugal Magik made the process VERY easy, from answering questions prior to booking, to communication after booking....they made sure we had our driver's name, photo, and exact directions to meet him in the airport. Nuno was our guide and he was wonderful! He was very sensitive to our comfort and needs, and showed us as much as one could expect for a full day in Lisbon! We learned a lot about the history and the area, and he made wonderful recommendations for lunch and took us for the famous Pateis de Belem! We had only one full day to spend in Lisbon and I definitely think we saw far more than we ever could have on our own! I would use PM again for future trips!

What a spectacular way to learn and discover Lisbon. If you arrive early and have to wait for check in, this is the absolute ideal way to start your Lisbon vacation. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about Lisbon and Portugal in general. Knew all the cool local haunts to check out and try out the little pastries the country is famous for. Got us totally oriented by touring the entire city. I can't recommend this enough.

We had an amazing time with Diogo. He was like part of our family. He was so gracious and sweet with our kids. He took the best care of all of us at all times. We really felt like we were able to see unique parts of Lisbon and did not just go to touristy areas. We have travelled all over the world and had private tour guides, Diogo is definitely one of the best we have spent time with. Gonzalo was also great during the booking process and was quick to respond to us. The van we had for our trip was top notch and always spotless. These guys really allowed our family to to see so much of Portugal in a short time ( 7 days). I am very thankful we found them. I will be recommending them to all of our friends!

Our tour guide Nuno was first rate. Professional, knowledgeable and all around a top notch experience. A private tour is a great way to see all the highlights of the city when you have a short amount of time. This is an excellent company to work with and highly recommend.

We booked our tour about 2 weeks ahead of time and fortunately there had been a cancellation and they could take us. Lisbon is very spread out and we had a very spacious, comfortable and modern van for the 5 of us. The guide picked us up right on time at the agreed location. He spoke excellent English and had a fabulous knowledge of Portugese history. I highly recommend this tour and our guide, Gui, if you only have a day in Lisbon and want to see as much as possible.

We thoroughly enjoyed our full day tour with Gui who was very knowledgeable about history and culture (and football!!). We travelled all over the city being taken to all the best viewpoints and were treated to some delicious pastéis de Belém! We particularly enjoyed our wander through Alfama where we stopped for lunch. I had mentioned how much I loved sardines and Gui had rung ahead to make sure they were on the menu! They were delicious! Gonzalo helped us (4 couples) set up our entire 9-day trip to Portugal. He was wonderfully responsive during the planning stages with immediate feedback and help. We toured Lisbon and its surroundings, the Algarve region as well as Porto, and areas north. I can't say enough about Portugal, the beauty of its lands, its history, and its wonderful people. We were able to see this amazing country as the locals see it and appreciate it. We were met at the airport by our guide DIOGO and our driver Rui in a very comfortable, new Mercedes Van. For the next 9 days, DIOGO ANDRADE inspired us to learn, love, and enjoy so much. He truly loves his country, and its history and is passionate about sharing that information and answering all of our questions. The itinerary we scheduled became fluid as he got to know us, our wishes, and his suggestions of minor changes were all appreciated and perfect. We learned to trust his instincts, as he navigated our experiences and our abilities (a group of 8 65+-year-old adults with some minor disabilities) It was a magical trip visiting magical places! He steered us to the BEST restaurants, helped us order, and enjoy each unique experience. He recommended the BEST experiences (Fado and dinner at A Baiuca) a small restaurant - farther down from the "touristy ones" and our experience could not have been better! Our tours included the "Golden Triangle" Sintra, Cabo de Roca & Cascais. (don't skip gelato at Santini's!). We went to Evora & Monsaraz and lunch at Sabores de Monsaraz (Isabel's cafe) was a treat I will never forget! We went to Algarve with lunch in Sagres, Lagos, and Albufeira for an overnight and then back to Lisbon by way of Olhao and Faro. Our trip to Porto included Fatima, the Douro Valley, wineries, and amazing beauty. On our last day, we visited Obidos a traditional walled medieval village and castle on the hill. I can't say enough about DIOGO and his efforts to make this a PERFECT trip! Fun fact ...In Porto he and Rui "strategized" and arranged to give us our "walking tour" around the city by dropping us off at the top of the city, touring it while walking down, picking us up at the bottom, and then dropping us off at the top again. I could not imagine such creative and careful planning. He made sure every wish we had was met and fulfilled. We felt like we left a friend when he left us off at the airport. I can't recommend this company enough. A perfect, private, personalized trip to a magical country.

We set up a tour several months ago, when we began planning our March Break trip. The back and forth was great. Gonzalo was immediately responsive and helped put together a great custom day tour for my family of six. Very sadly (and shame on the pathetically disorganized government of Portugal) there have been some inexplicable restrictions placed on Canadians wishing to travel to Portugal at the moment (despite the fact that the EU has no such restrictions). We were incredibly disappointed to have to cancel our trip as a result. I reached out to Gonzalo about a refund and despite the fact that our contract did not guarantee a refund, based on the circumstances, the company agreed to refund us. This was a really nice outcome. I will definitely be booking with Magik tours again in the future!

This trip was part of my mother's 80th birthday weekend celebrations and we had written in advance regarding mobility issues. No consideration had been given by Joe to mobility in planning this trip. Neither had he checked that the sites we were taken to were open (Museu do Combatente, Jeronímos monastery, Roman amphitheatre). All were closed, or closed when we visited. He eventually just drove around the city, parked, stayed with the van and directed us to several sites 'that one has a nice ceiling'. After visiting a very nondescript bookshop - we decided to cut the tour short. This was the main event of the weekend and a tremendous disappointment. The tour was expensive and in no way enjoyable or value for money.

We spent two wonderful days with our guide, John, touring Lisbon and Sintra. He was very caring and knowledgeable. We had certain areas that we wanted to cover in Lisbon that aren't on all the tours (the Aquarium is world-class!!). He created a thoughtful, customized tour that gave us time to see the highlights of Lisbon. Such a beautiful city! We loved it. We're vegetarians and John thoughtfully chose restaurants that served delicious food. They were all local to Lisbon and enhanced our experience by giving us a glimpse into the local veggie scene. On a private tour its always so important to be with someone who not only knows the area but who can fit into your family and be someone you want to spend a day with. John went above and beyond and we will book again the next time we're in Portugal. Hopefully soon!

Although we had visited back in 2018, the beautiful memories of the trip, friendliness of the locals, the great weather and most of all, fantastic scenic views remain ever so fresh on our memories. and of course, all of this has been possible with our excellent tour guide (highly recommended), very personal and had great experience with him!

We travelled to Portugal in 2018 and I wish we could go back. We had signed up for a Back Roads tour north of Lisbon, but wanted to experience as much of Lisbon as possible in a short time, so we signed up for a private guide and I am so glad we did. The owner was very responsive when I reached out on-line and asked what we were interested in -- and the guide was able to tailor our trip to us. We learned about Portugal's history, culture, art, politics, neighborhoods and customs, and we were able to experience the highlights of the city without wandering aimlessly (which can be also be fun but wasnt our plan). Our guide was informative and fun to be with, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I don't remember the driver's name but he was delightful. By the end of the day we all felt like we were old friends. He suggested places for us to go because we knew nothing of Lisbon, and we had a wonderful day with a variety of visits, including the cathedral, a cake shop, the statue of Christ the Redeemer, as well as driving around the city to see as much as possible. This trip was pre-Covid.

This tour gave us an initial overview of Lisbon, so afterwards we knew the layout of the city and could go back to our favorite areas. Rui, our tour guide was the very best, we ended up going on 2 more tours with him.

Would recommend Magik Tour Company in Lisbon to anyone visiting Portugal. The owner was very responsive when I contacted him online. My husband and I had a fabulous guide, Joe! Joe gave us a great tour of Lisbon prior to our cruise. After returning from our cruise, Joe took us to Sintra (wonderful), had a great lunch in a fun Sintra restaurant, and then a ride to the airport. Loved, loved, Portugal and hopefully, we will return. Will contact Magik for their expertise, nice automobiles, and superb guides.

Wonderful day with John! He picked us up at our ship, right on time and we "beat the crowds" to the best places! This was our first visit to Portugal and John shared a lot of history and pointed out so many sites we would have missed had we been on our own. Don't miss Pasteis de Belem......yum! We also visited Sintra (where I purchased a beautiful cork bag) and Cascais. We ended our time with John over a delicious traditional Portuguese lunch. We highly recommend Sintra Magic Private Tours and Joao!! Can't wait to go back to this area......beautiful scenery and people! And we will definitely call Joao!!

We had a fabulous tour of Lisbon with Francisco. He picked us up at the airport, drove directly to the most awesome sites and provided what only a well trained guide and someone who loves his city and country could provide. We would sign up again on our next visit. Which after his tour will come sooner rather than later.
