Best Fátima, Óbidos, Nazaré & Batalha Tour From Lisbon

Fast paced tour, but you do get to see a lot and you can easily have some influence over how much time you have at each site. Raphael was a very good guide, really knowledgeable about the sites and history.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Alex from the meeting point throughout the whole day. The pace was perfect, the ride comfortable, and Alex provided a lot of information while giving us appropriate time on our own to visit each spot. Pick up times at each spot were seamless. Alex is personable, caring, flexible and quite knowledgable. We learned a lot! I would recommend this company and our guide, Alex. We booked a small group tour, visited Fatima, the Monastery and walked down to see waves in Nazaré, where one of my favorite aspects of the tour was the oldest statue and the story on the cliff. We ended in Obidos and walked the shops, the walls and tried the port tasting. It was a great tour.

Raphael was our guide, and he was very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. The tour was great, and you get to see a lot in just one day! It covers Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré, and Óbidos. My only suggestion would be to either make the tour two hours longer—which might be a bit much for most people—or eliminate one stop so there’s more time to explore Óbidos or Nazaré. We were a group of four, including my 72-year-old mother, who has hip issues, so it took us a little longer to walk around and explore each place. Raphael was very understanding and accommodating throughout the entire tour, though, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely recommend it!

We did a lot in one day! Rafael was an excellent guide... his knowledge of the history of the area was truly impressive... it gave us a great appreciation for what we were seeing. And.... he was fine too! Great sense of humor.

Rafael was our guide for the day and he was excellent. He provided a lot of information in a pleasant way, and encouraged questions. When he dropped us off two explore he made sure we knew where we should go to see the things we were interested in. He was always at the spot to pick us up when we were ready to go. He brought us to a fabulous restaurant for lunch. And we was a good, smooth driver- we always felt safe.

Meeting location was centrally located and conviniénce. Driver and guide arrived 20 minutes before departure time and texted in advance to inform he was in his way to pickup. Alex was our guide, he was very professional and pleasant as well as informed about the history and culture of all places visited. Furthermore, he was also very accommodated in terms of giving us extra time for lunch and activities. I highly recommend the tour and Alex exceeded our expectations

This was a very good day trip from Lisbon. Our guide was Raphael and he was extremely knowledgeable. He gave us so much history that we loved. We had a fantastic day visiting Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré and Óbidos, and Carlos made the experience even more special. He was friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive throughout the entire tour. Carlos shared lots of interesting information about the history, culture and places we visited without ever making the day feel rushed. Fatima was great, the stop by the water/breach for lunch was perfect. Also the tour of the castle and town was most memorable. Rafael was the best tour guide and offered historical and interesting information!!!!!

If you're thinking about visiting Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré and Óbidos in one day, just do it this tour! And if you can, make sure your guide is Rafael. The whole trip was so well organized that it felt like someone had secretly paused the clock. We had just the right amount of time at every stop and we were never rushed, never bored, and somehow always exactly where we needed to be. I'd recommend this experience to anyone visiting Portugal, and I'd especially recommend choosing Rafael if you get the chance. I'd happily do it all over again! Maxime

We had a great tour. Carlos was one the best guides that I have had on tours. This tour had some great moments with Nazaré and Óbidos being the highlights. Fátima was very nice and the monastery looked good but a mass was going on so we could not go in. I would recommend this tour to all.

Luis was a great tour guide! It was really nice to have a smaller group because he had let us decide our own timing through the different cities. He took us to the most beautiful churches, and gave us an amazing food recommendation that is still our favorite meal of the trip! Highly recommend this tour so you can see a lot of what these areas have to offer!

We had the most amazing tour with Raphael. He gave us such a detailed yet understandable history lesson of the places we were seeing and was able to answer all of our questions. This is the third bus tour we have taken from Lisbon with all different tour companies and this one was by far the best. We learned so much new information that none of the other companies mentioned which really pulled everything together. We also learned a lot about life in Portugal, not just the history. The whole experience was stress free, we never felt rushed. Nazaré and Obidos were gorgeous and after this tour we are going to spend a whole day just seeing those two places. As for Fatima and Batalha we had the perfect amount of time to explore. I would recommend this tour any day, by far the best experience we have had in Portugal so far.

Absolutely great experience with Rafael. He was so warm, welcoming and full of great facts and information of the locations we stopped at. He said he would give 200% of himself throughout the tour and it was noted! He oferred to help take pictures of us and he translated everything he would say in English and in Spanish throughout the tour and I would recommend him 200%.

We booked a group tour but lucked out and ended up with a private tour with Alex as our guide. He was so incredibly friendly, informative, and made sure we had plenty time to explore our must-do's. Alex was very conversational as well and seemed just as excited to learn about where we live and our ways of life as we were about Portugal! It was the perfect experience for our final day in this beautiful, friendly country!

This was a wonderful tour, we enjoyed the trip very much. Our guide Alex was very knowledgeable and very tentative to us seniors. The vehicle was clean and comfortable for the 16 of us. Best part was the communication between us and the office, quick and precise responses. Overall I give it 5 star rating.

If we could give six out of five stars for our guide Tomás S., we would. Seven even. He was on time, professional, always courteous, and also very kind. And bonus: a history major. He spoke English very well. Driving was 100% safe. He never lost his cool even around unsafe motorists. He gave us an orientation before leaving the area of our hotel, gave recommendations of restaurants with honest reviews, as well as tips for do’s and don’ts. Book with Tomás. He is top notch, and it’s impossible to be disappointed.

Thomas was a great guide and the ride was comfortable through the beautiful countryside. The van was clean and had plenty of leg room.

We just concluded a 17 day tour of Portugal (13 adults) started in Porto to the Duoro Valley , Fatima Obidos , Peniche, Algarve with side trip to Seville Spain. Wondervan with drivers Antonio and Roberto and our tour guide Tomas Silva provided us the most amazing exceptional transportation and tour services you can ask for . From airport pick up and drop off, to baggage handling , dining suggestions, menu translations, wine selections, shopping expeditions , cultural and heritage visits culminating in a full course genuine Portuguese meal prepared by Roberto (patinga was the group’s favorite) and White sangria by Tomas . Thanks to Renato and Melissa for coming and touring with us and of course to Tomas who bonded with each one to make this trip special in every way.

We did a private tour due to some physical limitations. Our driver and guide for the day was Tomas with Wonder Tours. He was knowledgeable, prompt, organized and delightful company for the day. The tour through 4 cities was a long day but each site worth seeing. Our favorite was the walled city of Obidos with their Ginja. As a surfer, the natural forces of the waves of Nazarre was a must see. Fatima has become very commercialized and therefore was a quick stop. The monastery at Bathida was interested and beautiful. We had a great lunch overlooking the monastery grounds.

Alex was a terrific guide for our private tour of Fatima, Batalha, Nazare, and Obidos. Alex was extremely knowledgable about the history and culture of our destinations. He did a wonderful job guiding us to the interesting spots, but also gave us plenty of time to wander on our own. Nazare in particular was breathtaking, and it was great to not only take in the wonderful views but to hear all about the history and culture of the town from someone as knowledgable as Alex. Overall a fantastic tour!

Alex was a terrific guide! He kept us informed and engaged as we ventured to four totally different and fascinating places - Fatima, a modern Catholic mystical place; Nazare, seaside town with extraordinary waves crashing onto the shore; Batalha, an historic cathedral and monastery; and Obidos - a fairy tale village. Having gone on a tour of Sintra with Tomas earlier in the week, my mother and I enjoyed ourselves so much we booked another tour, this time to Fatima, Batalha, Nazare and Obidos. We had such a special day seeing so much beauty in the space of nine hours. We were really blown away. The cathedral of Batalha was a special highlight for both of us, and I will never forget the ramparts of the walled city of Obidos! Once again, Tomas went above and beyond in every aspect of the tour and we felt very happy and comfortable spending the day in his company. I’m so glad we didn’t limit our holiday to Lisbon city centre- through the tour we have seen so much more of Portugal.

We had Ruben as our guide and he was great. We did a private tour and he was right on time near our hotel to pick us up. We had very nice weather and Ruben explained things along the way.

Our guide, Antonio was fantastic. I had initially booked this tour to find out how it is like and we liked Antonio so much that we requested that he be our guide for the SIntra and Cascais tour the next day as well. He was very friendly, knowledgeable about all the different aspects from food to history of the country and monuments etc. He knew all the tricks of the trade, such as tips to get to as close to the attraction as possible and how to maximise our limited time on our tour. He recommended taking the Tuk Tuk in Nazare to go down and up from the lighthouse as time was limited and that we still have Obidos to go too, this helped us save 20 minutes of our time. He also booked some amazing restaurants for us on the tour with fantastic view overlooking the ocean on top of the cliff at Nazare which also served excellent seafood. I would highly recommend taking this tour with Antonio if you would like to maximise your limited time on the tour and that you want a knowledgeable and friendly guide!

Thomas and Ruben were the BEST tour guides EVER!! They were very knowledgeable and catered to the things we wanted to do. They planned and called ahead for for restaurant reservations at one of our stops. Extremely friendly and answered ANY and ALL questions we had. They had high energy the ENTIRE tour, 100% would recommend Thomas and Ruben.

Great tour, every place had something different and interesting. And the guide Bernardo, was excellent. A lot of details about all places visited, battles, years military strategies ... Doubt that a historian could do it better than him. Good job, Wonder Van!
