Cross over the iconic 25th of April Bridge (Ponte 25 de Abril) and, as you travel, feel free to ask your guide any questions you have; the beauty of a private tour is that the commentary is entirely tailored to your interests. Take in the city sights and the breathtaking Cascais coastline, then, after around an hour, find yourself traveling through the luscious Arrábida Natural Park.
Pass by Aldeia do Meco and its beautiful beaches! If the tour is running on time, maybe you can stop for a little.
Make your first stop at Cabo Espichel to visit Santuário de Nossa Senhora do Cabo Espichel, a peaceful sanctuary dedicated to Our Lady of the Cape. Explore the religious site with your guide and enjoy sweeping panoramas of the Atlantic Ocean from your clifftop vantage point.
Explore the Castle of Sesimbra and admire the magnificent tiles in its church, while learning about the fishing village of Sesimbra. Admire the amazing views over Sesimbra's bay and the infinitude of the blue ocean.
Have free time in Sesimbra for lunch (own expense), where you can find the freshest fish in Portugal, as this is one of the most important fishing ports of the country.
Drive through the Arrábida Natural Park to Portinho da Arrábida and all the other magnificent beaches in this Natural Park.
Enjoy the views and take some time for a swim, if you prefer. There are several options of beaches you can visit.

Very relaxing day outside of the city. Perfect combination of amazing views, beach, and small village lunch. Nuno was very patient, informative, and professional.
We booked the Arrábida Natural Park private day tour through Mike McHugh at Dream Makers Vacation Services, and it turned out to be one of the best days of our entire Portugal trip. The tour was run by Around Lisbon, and our guide Nuno made the experience truly special. Nuno took us through Arrábida Natural Park, the Albufeira Lagoon, the clifftop sanctuary at Cabo Espichel, and the fishing village of Sesimbra with its Moorish castle. He also led us on a short hike to a hidden cave on the water with a small shrine inside — a spot we never would have found or even known existed without him. We also got to relax on some stunning hidden beaches that aren't in any guidebook. Nuno had an incredible depth of knowledge about the history, culture, and hidden gems of the region. Beyond his expertise, he's genuinely a wonderful person — his storytelling and warm, easygoing personality made the whole day feel less like a tour and more like exploring with a local friend. The van was comfortable, the pace was relaxed, and every stop felt thoughtfully chosen. If you're planning a trip to Lisbon, do yourself a favor: book through Mike McHugh at Dream Makers Vacation Services and request Nuno as your guide. Five stars all around.
Great day out and our guide Nuno was very knowledgeable and flexible to accommodate our plans. Great locations and covered a lot in a day.
Beautiful views and beaches. Different perspective outside the city. Amazing cave but a lot of steps to get there....well worth it!
This was a fantastic day in the countryside that was thanks to our wonderful guide, Nuno. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and really got a "feel" for the countryside south of Lisbon!
This was one of the best trips I have taken. The beauty of the mountains, sea and beaches are beyond expectations and just a short drive from Lisbon. Our guide was great and made it all the more memorable! Just a great day! You can’t go wrong on taking this one.
Our guide John was great - down to earth and shared some interesting info about Portugal. Only suggestion for the tour - would be perfect if the guides were equipped with beach umbrellas in the van. Just small portable ones. Without shade, the beach was too hot to enjoy. Thanks!
The best day. Not only well organized and on time but Pedro was fabulous. So personal and our group of 8 strangers left the day as friends Pedro went above and beyond in every way.
I loved the experience since the begining, excelent guide and he was on time and fufilled my expetetions with good knowledge of the subject
Seeing the junction of the fresh water lagoon with the salt water ocean, a 50 mile long beach and the best sea bass ever in the fishing village Sesimbra … but above all a guide who truly has passion for his land, Nuno!
Good value for price. Our driver and guide Nuno was excellent, helpful and punctual. We were looking for a solution to visit the national parc without worrying about the road with a rental car and it turned out to be a great decision.
Beautiful places. We at the back couldn't hear the guide clearly and we asked him to speak louder but still we couldn't hear everything spatially when bumpy road. We went to a very beautiful cave it was extra and I.loved it.
Our kayaking trip in Arrabida was canceled due to high winds and waves so we booked this tour at the last minute. It was a very good alternative even though the dolphin cruise was not operating due the weather conditions. Arrabida is a beautiful area with a rugged coastline and sweeping sand beaches. The views are spectacular even in poor weather. Sesimbra is a beautiful fishing town and the old village is delightful to stroll around. Stopped at Baclahoa Winery on the way back for a very unique wine tasting experience. Philippe was an attentive and helpful driver/guide.
Such a cool experience! We would recommend this to anyone who is curious about the lesser-known sites of Portugal.
The trip is so ambitious, they try to cover many places but we'd spent most of the time in the van. We made three stops each one was for 15 minutes (is not enough for see the places) without providing information even about the names of the places. During the trip our guide (Daniel) drove so fast with the pretext we didn’t have enough of time. At lunch time we went to a nice restaurant but our guide suggested us to order from the van, he recommended us “the best dishes” were the most expensive dishes in the menu and he ordered food that we didn’t ordered such as olives and cheese. In the menu were another options. We took the cruise , they said the cruise is 3 hours, it is a lie is just 2 hours. Jon the other guide was very attentive and he helped us all the time. I would never recommend this trip is a waste of time and money. You can enjoy your day in other place.
It was our first time in Europe and we were so happy we booked this tour. Rita was an excellent guide and we enjoyed learning about the history of the region. The landscape was incredible and we even saw a fox on the way back to Lisbon. Lunch was great (grilled fish with potatoes) -definitely some of the best fish I’ve ever had! We are recommending this company to friends here in Nova Scotia. We booked directly through their website. We also did a day trip to Evora with David- it was fantastic, beautiful churches and countryside and we also visited the Neolithic sites -so interesting! David explained the meaning behind these sites with great knowledge and sense of humour. The restaurant we visited in Evora had a wonderful cod dish with garlic and olive oil and local ham. Thank you for two amazing trips!
The description of this trip was much better organized than the trip itself. The route and agenda should be heavily edited. The guide was deeply frustrated in the end and it was not her fault at all. Giving choices to the group is nice but not when it creates havoc and unpredictable waiting time for participants.
We took two tours with them: Small-Group Guided Excursion to Arrábida Natural Park & Town of Sesimbra: 9 AM English Commentary Tour & Dolphin Watching and Small-Group 4-Town Day Trip: Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré & Óbidos: 9 AM English Commentary Tour. Both tours were great. We really enjoyed the tours. Due to bad weather, they had to cancel the Dolphin Watching tour therefore; they refunded that part of the tour money without any hesitation. Also, they gave me in writing confirmation about the refund therefore, it helped us to claim the money back from the Main Tour Operator when we got back from the holiday otherwise we would not have received the refund from the main tour operator. We are so grateful to Gil Costa Lopes for all the help and support provided in that issue. We like to recommend this tour to everyone. It was money worth spend because we seen really nice sceneries, beaches, national park, etc…

Nuno was great!
The tour was very unique to be able to see a peaceful coastline of Portugal.
We really liked how we were given the chance to stop a various lookout points throughout the tour, and to see different vistas.
A trip we will never forget.

Nuno was a wonderful tour guide! We loved him, our tour was very informational and Nuno had a great sense of humor. I'd gladly and 100 recommend this tour to anyone who will be in Lisbon for a few days. It's a great way to get out of the city and see what else Portugal has to offer. We made several great stops and never felt rushed, we had plenty of breaks and really felt like we used the full day efficiently, Nuno kept us all very well informed at each stop and was happy to answer all questions. Thanks Nuno!

really good day out , the guide was really friendly and informative

It was really an amazing trip. The guide arrived on time to pick me up from my hotel. We stopped in many places on the way to the port to start our cruise in the ocean. Many thanks to our guide Ruy for giving me one of the most wonderful cruise in my life. It really worth to upgrade to see the dolphins in the ocean.

The description clearly states Or, you can, continue to use remaining your free time soaking up the sun at Praia dos Coelhos Rabbits Beach and Praia do Piloto Pilots Beach, Arrábidas hidden golden beaches. Your day trip from Lisbon offers you options from here, either visit the stately Palmela Castle and Setúbal Castle or tantalize your taste buds with a food and wine tasting at a local Azeitão village wine cellar. Taste two varietals of Portuguese wine paired with local small plate specialties.

So either we would do beaches, castles OR wine/food tastings.

When we asked if we would be doing the wine and food tasting in Azeitão, our tour guide was very rude and said we don't have time for that. This is an option they would have to be notified about ahead of time for. He picked the beaches for us on our behalf and we spent half of our day laying on the beach.

We could have taken a bus ourselves to the beach from Lisbon and didn't need to be paying so much money for him to be just laying in the sad. Our trip to Portugal was 6 days long, I didn't spend so much time and money to come from New York City to watch him take a swim.

The website didn't set expectations properly and neither did he at the start of the tour. Instead he was rude and embarrassing in front of the other guests on the tour. I would never use this tour company or recommend them to anyone else.

Amazing Tour - Nuno was an amazing guide. I am sure he will remember us the crazy 8 friends for a long long time.
A perfect way to see beautiful places of Portugal.

Very, very enjoyable tour. I highly recommend the dolphin cruise! Very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide.

Great trip. Just a small group which was what I was looking for. Guide was very considerate of my husband who has a hard time getting around. Learned and saw a lot. No problems. I would definitely use this guide again.

The tour was amazing. Nuno was an awesome tour guide. He was very knowledgable and friendly. What a great way to see The beautiful sights of Portugal!

great tour, flexibly adjusting to our needs, great guide!

Excellent day.Our guide Joao did not make a perfect day.He guided us and explained the whole tour.. spectacular beaches.
The day with our guide Filipe (or Philippe ^^) was more than perfect! Our guide masters French perfectly and was very attentive with the boys, who immediately loved it! The trip, in an air-conditioned minibus, went very well. Our guide took us to Cap d'Esquichel with a magnificent view of the sea and then to Sesimbra Castle, which overlooks the magnificent Arrabida Park. We then went to Setùbal via the gigantic and sublime Serra de Arrabida. Lunch break then head to the Dolphin Observatory. We've caught his eyes! Especially the children, because it was a surprise:) The catamaran trip went beautifully well I highly recommend this activity, and thank you to Filipe for being so adorable with us!
