Alfama Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Lisbon’s Oldest Neighborhood (2 Hrs)

Meeting place will be changed and you won’t know about it, therefore you will miss the excursion. We were asked to meet at another place unknown to us.

We took the half day tour and saw the many highlights of Lisbon. Our tour guide shared his extensive knowledge of the history and special places Lisbon has to offer. The views are beautiful and our tour guide brought us to the famous custard factory for a special treat. Our tour guide was awesome! We would highly recommend this tour!

Ricardo was a wonderful ambassador to novice travelers to Lisbon. He was polite, funny, intelligent, and a GREAT driver! In our two hour journey he showed us sites that gave us the introduction to Lisbon’s background we were lacking. At the conclusion he even sent us numerous notes on further exploration opportunities throughout this timeless city. His vehicle was clean, and although the roads were narrow & full of obstacles he navigated us around like the Portuguese explorers of old. 10/10 experience!

Today we have a tuk -tuk experience with Ricardo. Definitely is the best way to see Lisbon's historic neighborhoods like Barrio Alto, Alfama, Graça, Chiado abd Belem. We recommended for the first sigth of the city, if you are short of time or want to avoid the city's steep. Ricardo provide us historical context, stories, and recommendations for bakeries, restaurants and to do things. Thanks for stop to pick up our pasteis de Belem, they are delicious. Our Tuk Tuk Tour of Alfama with Pedro our guide was phenomenal. We are up there in age and Pedro made sure we were safe, taken care of and comfortable. His knowledge of the history of the Alfama was spot on. Answered questions, took pics. Very personable. Request him and I promise you won’t regret it!

Mathieu gave is a wonderful tour of old Lisbon and many of its old churches. He was extremely knowledgeable relating the history of Lisbon to its present day structure. He also adjusted the your to take account of my wife's disability.

An absolute must if you want to take in as much of Lisbon as possible in two hours (helped our group see all of the neighborhoods and areas we wanted to explore upon completion)! Our guide picked us up at our hotel and created a route based on our start point and end point, which was amazing. Stop and go format, we had the pleasure of soaking in the rich history of Lisbon, visiting the riverside, seeing the oldest standing barrio that survived Lisbon’s terrible earthquake, fires, and tsunami in 1755, tributes to their musical culture, Fado, getting to set foot In structures built to honor St. Vincent and St. Anthony, and taking in some of the most breathtaking views! We started two hours before dinner and had our driver drop us at our dining spot for the night - just remember to bring cash to tip your guide!!

We arrived in Lisbon the same day as this much needed and somewhat relaxed tour. Nelson the driver of the Tuk Tuk was very knowledgeable since he has been doing this for 8 years and believe lives here as well. We went to many different places where we might not have gone to. We had a two hour Tuk Tuk tour (customized) in beautiful Lisboa today with the BEST guide ever - Tomas Neves was our guide. Tomas was friendly, fun, courteous and knowledgeable. We wished that we had more time to spend with him. If you use Just Tour It, you should definitely request Tomas. He is the best!

We realised that walking Lisbon was not going to be an option by day 2, so we decided on a Tuk Tuk trip, the scenery, history and views were spectacular. Alexandra was our guide. Her English is outstanding as is her knowledge of Lisbon’s historic areas, the history of the city, region and Portugal generally. We had two trips. 3 hours in all. (5 adults.)The first was one hour but it was so valuable we booked a 2 hour trip the following day. Alexandra picked us up at our hotel and also provided us with details of good restaurants and wine outlets. She also drives well in busy city conditions. If you want an informed, enjoyable tour seek her out. You won’t regret the decision.

Our guide, Mathieu, was simply fantastic! Took us all around old Lisboa, in Alfama. He was really good in explaining the origins of this very particular and old neighborhood. It was great! He also speaks French! We did the tour in French :).

We had a 2 hour Tuk Tuk ride with our tour guide Alex and she was AMAZING!! She brought us to some amazing viewpoints in Lisbon, historical sites, had great history to share, got amazing coffee, and gave us amazing tips on restaurants and things to do in the area. The 2 hour trip was so great that we ended up booking a trip to Sintra and Cascais the following day. Both our guides were named Antonio, such lovely guys who gave just the right amount of information but also were super friendly and fun. I would highly recommend these trips first one was in a tuk tuk and then second was in a very comfortable car.

Our tour passes through many classical and historical parts of Lisbon. Our guide Matthew did a PHENOMENAL job of reading us as a family to see which sites we’d enjoy the most. He really adapted the tour to us and made sure everyone was engaged the whole time.

There are TukTuks galore in Lisbon, but it is the tour guide who will make or break your experience and enjoyment. We hit gold with Rita and Just Tour It. We opted for the historical option, stopping off at viewpoints. Rita pointed out points of interest interwoven with great historical insight into Lisbon. She was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. She even recommended some great places for lunch and dinner. She spoke very good English, which we much appreciated. We would highly recommend this mode of transport to explore this beautiful city, and hope you are lucky enough to find Rita.
