Staff was friendly, the room was small tired and a bit shabby for a class type of luxury room.
Single bar was busy and not a lot of space. Misleading photos of the website shows a nice outside space to relax - this is a suite rather than another bar - eg roof top terrace. What a shame.
Breakfast was inedible - my wife had to leave her food untouched as some guests decided sneezing on the buffet was acceptable. It’s not.
Overall a poor stay, poor room, inedible breakfast (thanks other guests) and small bar. The porter was very good though and needs singling out.
This is certainly not a 5* Hotel - how you got this classification is beyond me.
Beautiful hotel, great central location.
Never had to take the taxi or subway to visit Lisbon.
Bathroom has Diptyque products and it was super clean.
Front-staffs are extremely kind and responsive.
+ Only improvement point from me would be maybe more local products for breakfast. For example eggs from surrounding farms, local fruits etc.
We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The front reception staff were very helpful. We enjoyed drinks at the bar with exceptional service from Paolo and his staff on every occasion. Paolo and his staff were professional, friendly and obliging. Nothing was ever a problem. The restaurant was also lovely and the service good. Would absolutely stay here again. The location was brilliant.
Our 5-night stay at Sofitel was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that perfectly reflected the great Portuguese spirit.

The breakfast buffet service and restaurant staff were amazing! Special shout out to Rita for always serving us with a lovely smile and a warm presence. Also to the room attendants, room was always kept super clean and tidy, very appreciative of that and all the staff were super helpful and went above and beyond in general❤️
